This is written by two high-profiled handball players who are also among the most famous gay athlete stars in Norway. This book is about their journey to motherhood as they decide to try insemination at a clinic in Denmark. They write about conflicts and feelings surrounding the issue of being an atypical family, of prejudice from society and yet the privilege of gay rights in Norway.
As a hetero person with gay friends I found it very enlightening to read such personal thoughts, and I hope it will make me a better friend in supporting and understanding what my friends go through. I highly recommend this book, if not only to educate people in how benign ignorance is still damaging and hurtful, and that family is created out of resoect and love, not simply biology.
