The facility is retaken, Galsinith freed, and the mighty Lionandis Legion bolster Raysha and her friends. Will it be enough to stave off the sect they just humiliated? The hundreds of disciples marching to war? With the time dilation field created by Atareus and Galsinith, the Misfits will have to train like never before to become strong enough to hold the tide at bay.
Overall, this was another good entry and I hope we'll get more stories set in this world after the next book that'll end the series. I especially enjoyed the little details that continue to build the magic system and show us just how amazing Raysha's progression has been after her aeon issue was fixed in the first book. The siege was executed well, but difficult to digest that many of the "enemy" POV seemed like they were just doing what they "thought" was the right thing. Anyway, I hope we'll get to see the main characters spending a lot of time with their friends and family in the next book (after the conflict is done with).
I have enjoyed the entire series so far and each time a new book comes out I can’t put it down. This was another great addition to the series and I highly recommend it. I enjoy the cultivation system the most and learning more about soulspaces and how they advance. I just hope I don’t have to wait to long for the next.
Great book. The last quarter had me unable to put it down, the world building was fantastic, the action incredible and the characters amazing. Looking forward to book 6!
Another solid instalment in the series. This felt a little like the MC and other close characters had an almost unrealistic advantage in the series, but they're still junior enough that others look down on them. Feels a bit like we'll end up with a Jason (He Who Fights With Monsters) or Lindon (Cradle) or similar in a few books.
Definitely a couple of books left in the series, and I'll still read and enjoy them.
Just over half way through the title suddenly made sense and I had a little giggle to myself.
As always, the author does an excellent job of writing compelling and believable characters, interesting group dynamics, and a fun and varied progression system. Can't wait for the next one
