Stephanie Feagan is a multi-published RITA winning author who also writes YA paranormal romance as Trinity Faegen. A practicing CPA who loves travel, books, and smart guys, Stephanie lives in the oilfields of west Texas with her husband and a mean cat.
Pink is still working at her mother’s firm, but now she expects her to actually do work and bring in clients. (Oh, the horrors.) So, to appease her mother and keep her job, she agrees to take on the biggest skin-flint in town as a client. He insists that his oil assets are mysteriously disappearing.
If that weren’t enough, before accepting the case, an FBI agent is stabbed in front of her at the grocery store after telling her he’s been sent by the senator who has a crush on her and that he needs her help to stop Al Qaeda. Now she has to figure out who is telling her the truth and who is lying. And, is there really someone in Midland, Texas, funneling money to Al Qeada?
Plus, she’s still got the man problem – the man she’s most interested in, a local attorney, and the senator who is definitely interested in her, but she’s still debating him.
Again, not a very well-written book. The sex issue isn’t there – at least now she has sex. The plot isn’t bad, despite being so very not-plausible.
