This book contains two different points of view, one of the children's and their questions about Jesus, and another of Jesus answering those questions. The tone of the story is very happy and light, while also being informative. There is also a rhyming pattern to the story that helps children become more engaged with the story. The illustrations are very well done, colorful, and portray to the point of the story. At the end of the book there are bible verses that back up what "Jesus" had said to answer the children's questions about what he liked and what he used to do while he was alive. A reoccurring theme in the book is to love everyone equally, which is a very important lesson for a child to learn. Overall, this book is very nice and informative while also incorporating sources in the back pages.

Great Illustrations and Story

I like the way children can ask Jesus questions and the answers they receive.

This book provides great ways to share who is Jesus.

It also provides scriptures for further information.

Amazing way to put things together.

Thank You to the Author Kathleen Bostrom.

My children love these little books. They thoroughly enjoy each and every story, as if they are all unique and individual without any cause for similarity among them. Even though sometimes, they might seem tedious and repetitive to me as a parent, I do enjoy being able to read short-stories to my children that are clean and respective.

We Know JESUS

This is a fun and sweet book showing how Our Loving Lord JESUS took naps, eat sweets, and had friends and family like you and me. This book: "Who Is JESUS" shows children in rhyme, how he feelings are like ours and why Our Jesus died for us in a sweet and caring way.

Loved this book

Lovely read for small kids to understand without losing the storyline from the bible. Each page also has the relevant book and chapter it was adapted from. Loved reading this to my daughter.

Literary Elements: Point of view- told from the children's point of view, than Jesus'; the mood is positive and happy; the theme of the story is how Jesus is like the little children. He prayed and played with his friends and got upset, like they all do. I would use this book with my kindergarten to second grade students to introduce who Jesus was. I would first ask the students what they know about Jesus to help build background information and knowledge. I would want the readers to discover how they are similar to Jesus so they can feel a personal connection with him. I would want my students to walk away from the story with understanding that Jesus did things just like them when he was a child. He prayed to the Father, loved his mother, played with his friends, and learned just like the students do.

“Who is Jesus?” I found to be a beautifully illustrated children's book. The colorful pictures portrayed the questions & answers very nicely. I think any of my grandchildren would love hearing the story, learning the Bible verses and picking out the relevant illustrations on each page. I think they would have a very good idea of "Who Jesus Is" quickly. I liked that each page was short, to the point and well illustrated. I'll be reading this to my grandchildren over and over.
I was gifted this precious little book from The bookclub network, ( Bookfun.org ) for my honest opinion which I have given.

I won this book through a Goodreads' Giveaway for my nephew. I'm not religious, but his parents are, so I figured we'd all read it together. Even his highly parents were not enthused with this book. It doesn't say anything about being the best person you can be or the golden rule, "do unto others as you would have them do unto you." It said that Jesus would fix ALL of your problems without you having to lift a finger or sending up a prayer.

The pictures were pretty. The print was large. Everything was broken down into easy to read pieces.

The illustrations are wonderful. They feature modern kids of various ethnicities in every day situations. My son seems to prefer these over Biblical era illustrations in other religious books--you know, the ones with bearded men in tunics and sandals.
The writing style is a little stiff. I wish it flowed a little better.
