A small-town single mom like me has no business believing in fairy tales.
But the very handsome, charming, dirty-talking prince (yes, seriously) I met nineteen months ago now has his fine ass and panty-melting grin planted on my front porch.
He’s been searching for me ever since I snuck out after our hot, fantasy-filled weekend together.
And, dammit, that’s a little romantic.
Now that he’s found me, he wants to pick up where we left off. Because he thinks he’s in love with me.
Oh, and because he needs to get out of the marriage, his grandfather, the king, has arranged for him.
Right. Even if I hadn’t lied to him about everything but my first name, the carefree, adventurous woman he burned up the sheets with for three days doesn’t exist.
I'm actually a stressed-out mechanic back in my small hometown, raising a sassy fifteen-year-old daughter, and trying to make amends for my mean girl past.
I just don’t think my grease-streaked work boots scream princess material.
Of course, he won’t take no for an answer. Shocking, I know.
Instead, he proposes a deal: I give him nineteen days to get to know the real me.
Then he’ll either get over me, go home, and marry someone else.
Or I’ll walk down that aisle.
Rags to Royals is a modern royal romance with a feisty single mom, a golden retriever prince who falls first and hard, and lots of delicious dirty talk and spice on the page. It is the third book in the Royals Gone Rogue series, but can be read as a stand-alone.
Erin Nicolle is the new pen name for NYT and USA Today Bestselling romance author Erin Nicholas. While Erin Nicholas is known for her blue-collar book boyfriends and big, boisterous found families in small towns, Erin Nicolle writes rich and royal rogues. But they both love a dirty talking cinnamon roll, a grump who is reluctantly wrapped around a feisty little finger, and a gruff, protective guy who falls first and hard.
I’ve already reviewed this story so I’m just going to concentrate on narration right now. Amelia Hugh & Connor Crais did an excellent job with their duet performance. I’ve always enjoyed Connor, and it was no different this time around. Amelia Hugh was new to my ears, and it took some getting used to her cadence and style. She comes across as more of a reader than a performer and that’s not a favorite for me. I did not not enjoy this audiobook because of it, but I wasn’t able to get lost in the story like I normally do. Hopefully the more audiobooks I listen to by her, my ears will become more adjusted. I’m not giving up just yet!
One last little tidbit and this is about the story as a whole. When I read the story, this particular *thing* never even crossed my mind, but with the audiobook, it was glaring in my head! The plot point surrounding Scarlett’s insistence she had to live in the town to prove herself just dragged on and went too far in my opinion. Even when it was glaring obvious that it was at the detriment of her family, she kept “keeping on” as they say, and it took a little of the shine out of the story. It didn’t feel like a natural progression to me, rather like conflict that was dragged for the dramatic effect and … #twitchy *shrug* This is the very reason I love to play the “which format may or may not be better” game :) because you just never know how things will hit you in a book and reading and listening can completely change your perspective on a dime! I wouldn’t go as far as to say one is better than the other in this case but maybe … (lol)
eBook Review October 2024
I am completely and irrevocably smitten with Royals Gone Rogue and Erin Nicolle! Some of you are probably wondering what took me so long to be smitten by her since she’s Erin Nicholas, who’s been publishing fantastic stories since like forever! Amirite? You’re wondering? Well, it’s because it seems like a million years ago since I read her so it’s all fresh and new and fridiculously fantastic!! But I digress … about Rags to Royals …
First of all, I’m pretty sure I laughed out loud thru most of the story! The story was flirty and charming and entertaining and also emotional! It was all the things people! ALL OF THEM! I am so hyped over it that I can’t wait to get it in my ears! I really like the choices Erin made for not just the characters but also the storyline. I liked that it wasn’t easy peasy for Cian to waltz into Scarlet’s life and convince her he’s the one. He had to work it and it was so devastatingly swoony and also moving and heartfelt. It felt very real and relatable even though he’s a royal. Feel me? I love that Cian and Mariah were a team and her character wasn’t written in the typical nonconformist way teenagers are mostly portrayed. She was on #TeamCian and helped every step of the way! *heart eyes*
I don’t want to say anything else for fear I might let slip a circumstance in the story that will spoil it for you because you should really experience everything about not just this story but this series with fresh eyes and a blank brain. LOL It’s how I have experienced it from the very beginning, and I have never been more captivated and in love with a whole lot of fictional people like I am with every single character, including the sketchy ones, in this huge circle! I should really get my act together and read more of Erin’s work because my kindle says I own *whispers* 30 of them shsssss! Lol
It's time for our playboy, sunshine, golden retriever prince to get his happily ever after! IF he can find the woman who rocked his world almost two years ago...and then disappeared on him!
If he can't find her, his engagement to long-time family friend is going to be announced by his grandfather in just three months!
Ahhh... if you love a head-over-heels, pining hero who will do anything to win over the girl, this one's for you! Scarlett tries to resist but it is futile! ;) She's a stubborn, feisty, single mom working as a mechanic in her small hometown. But Cian is determined to sweep her off her feet and make her and her fifteen-year-old daughter princesses!
Lots of laughs, lots of swooning, lots of fan-your-face spicy moments are ahead for you! I hope you love it!
I always have a great time in Cara and with the O’Grady / Olsen gang!
I’m a sucker for a dirty talking royal and Cian didn’t disappoint! He and Scarlett were so dynamic and fun together, after becoming absolutely smitten with her one weekend, only to never find a trace of the woman who captured his heart. Nonetheless, he remained determined to find her, and I love how incorporated Henry, his bodyguard and best friend was in finding her, because he wanted for Cian to be happy. To add, Henry, who also happened to fall in love with Scarlett’s sister, Ruby, omg they were so intriguing, with the scenes that they shared, and the teasers towards the end, and what’s to come, I can’t wait!!
It was so great to also see Declan make his official appearance in the series, after having heard so much about him; he’s so straight laced and clearly a man who gets what he wants; so so intrigued for his book and hoping very much for it to be a marriage of convenience with Astrid, she’ll definitely be one to keep him on his toes!
My only thing that I struggled with is the whole church subplot, which was an undercurrent throughout the story. It did lose me at some points of the story, as Scarlett’s father was in the church; and then there was the issue with how Scarlett was trying to make amends for her wrongdoings, and her daughter Mariah, was trying to be coerced into the environment, but also was faced backlash because of her mother. While I thought it really made for such a great storyline, I did find it quite intense, then again, I’ve never really read about the influence and impact of a church and how it can be quite toxic.
I can’t wait for the next few books in the series to follow!! Thank you Erin for the e-arc!! 🩵

Cian O’Grady finally finds his girl! If you read the previous books you know he has been searching for her for 2 years and when he finds her yes we get some swoon-worthy moments.
Cian is the sweet golden retriever and yes he does has a mouth just as filthy as Torin. He is the type to love out loud and he does things on impulse but always for the right reasons. Scarlett is cautious and when you learn about her background you understand why because of it she can come off as a little bit of a black cat but she really isn’t. Mariah is Scarlett’s 15yr old daughter and their relationship is very positive and even when Cian comes in it is so heartwarming.
I cannot wait for Henry’s book and that kiss had me laughing for a good bit I honestly hoped for it during the dinner.

Oh this was such a sweet book, and a sweet introduction to author Erin Nicolle! This is the first book of hers I’ve read, and I’ve just grabbed the first two books in this series so I can catch up! (If you’re like me and jumping into the series with this book, no worries…there’s a bit at the beginning about the story and who everyone is. It was super helpful.)
Cian is this sweet, smart prince who will stop at nothing to get his girl. Seriously, the way he stops at the nothing to show Scarlet just how much he cares and how great they are together? So swoon worthy. Scarlet is a strong FMC who has had a hard life. She has an amazing teenage daughter (seriously, I freaking loved Mariah!) and they have an awesome relationship.
It was so sweet to see Cian and Scarlet’s relationship grow and how well they complemented each other. The spicy scenes were fantastic too…Cian’s dirty mouth was perfection!
Thank you to Erin Nicolle and The Author Agency the ARC of this book.
Thank you so much to The Author Agency and Erin Nicolle for this ARC!
I have not read the rest of the series or any of the stand alone books about some of the side characters in this, but it did not hurt my understanding of the story at all. It just enticed me to read them! I want to know EVERYTHING about this family!
I really loved this book. It was emotional, flirty, funny, swoony, and a bit of religious/family trauma all rolled into one!
Scarlett is a bad-ass single mom trying to make up for being a not-great person in her teen years thanks to her biological dad's influence. Cian is a playboy Prince in hiding, coasting along with no real direction.
After a wonderful weekend together (and then never hearing from her again) he can't stop thinking about her.
The found family aspect of this is wonderful. Scarlett has a great sister (Ruby) who sticks by her side, and her daughter is wonderful and strong-willed. I would totally be friends with all three of them. But, it really is just the three of them (and mom/grandma!) Meeting Cian's family and seeing how they embrace her and let her know she's not alone and can lean on them was wonderful to see.
I will ABSOLUTELY be reading the other books that tie in.
Royal romance? Yes, please. Rags to Royal by Erin Nicolle was a sweet and spicy second-chance romance that had me longing for a hot dirty-talking prince of my very own. I enjoyed everything about Scarlett and Cian’s long-awaited journey to HEA. This is book three in Nicolle’s Royals Gone Rogue series but can be read as a stand-alone.
Amelia Hugh and Connor Crais perform this audiobook in duet-style narration. This was the first time I’d heard these two paired together. Amelia’s soft, melodic voice captured Scarlett’s vulnerabilities, hesitancies, and desires as she gave into her true feelings for Cian after nineteen months of absence and longing. Connor brought his signature charm to convey Cian’s persistently swoony golden retriever tendencies that made this prince irresistible. Both narrators created the perfect amount of steamy tension between them, making their chemistry undeniable.
Overall, I enjoyed this book. If you are a fan of a royal romance with a hot hunky undercover prince, a hard-working single mom mechanic, small-towns, second chances, a devoted teenage daughter, silver charm elephant bracelets, substitute teachers, back patio steam, close proximity, weekend getaways, new start-up foundations, family health scares, love declarations, more steamy times, and a HEA that will royally bewitch you in the best ways, then you will love Scarlett and Cian’s story. I am looking forward to more from Erin Nicolle.
Thank you to Erin Nicolle for allowing me to read a copy of this book. I read this book as a standalone, and I absolutely adored it. I loved Erin Nicolle's writing style and the characters. It gave me the same feelings that I got whenever I read The Final Offer by Lauren Asher. Obviously, the plots are different, but the feelings were the same. After reading this book, I really want to go back and read the first two books in this series. And the arcs that these characters go through together and apart had me wanting to read more and more. Highly HIGHLY recommend this book.
It's finally Cian's turn and oh my gosh, I swooned and swooned and swooned. Who knew the happy go lucky playboy had it in him?! Scarlet certainly makes him work for it, but he has help in her daughter Mariah and her sister, and of course our beloved Henry. The ending had me shook...what?????? I am so ready for that story!
This series is new to me but this book sucked me in. Cian is easily boom boyfriend material. He is one of the sweetest characters and knows what his heart wants. Scarlett is such a strong MFC. She lives her life to help those around her. Once Cain breaks down her walls and she lets him in she truly blossoms. I love that this couples main goal (besides each other) is to make a difference in the community. I can’t wait for the next one.
Not gonna lie, I went on a bit of a journey with this one.
It’s my first time reading this author and I also didn’t realise fully that it was the third in a series. The book started out with a whole lot of information, trying to catch you up on who’s who in the royal family in this book and things that have happened. Initially it kind of turned me off because I just thought it’d be too much to remember and I just didn’t care enough tbh. Once the story started, I think I carried that clunky feeling forward.
However, I kept going and what I found was a really nice romance with some themes I liked. I enjoyed the mix of small-town vibes with royal-vibes, it worked really well. I like Scarlett’s history/life/predicament and how this was the big barrier to work through. I think her life is very realistic to many small and not so small towns but smaller communities! I loved the growth and how Scarlett and Cian make each other “more”.
I ended up crying a couple times, I think I just really am a sucker when it comes to stories where found family or families with strong bonds rally and support.
The romance between Scarlett and Cian was nice, passionate, definitely some open-door spice here. It’s developed from a weekend fling but the connection and vulnerability is built up well enough that you believe in their love.
It is somewhat more of a straightforward book as far as the writing style goes for me, so I didn’t pull any quotes since none jumped out at me, but I did read this all basically in a day and really enjoyed it. I actually want to go back and read the first two books now because I do love a bit of a royal romance.
Overall a nice, fun read with spice and heart. Don’t let the specifics bog you down too much at the start!
4/5 ⭐️
I received an advance copy of this book and I have left my honest, influence-free review.
Rags to Royals is here to serve you a royal romance hotter than a summer sidewalk, and Cian O’Grady?
This prince is anything but charming in the traditional sense—he's a filthy-mouthed dreamboat who knows what he wants and isn’t afraid to say it (and, oh, does he say it!).
Scarlett, our fierce, grease-streaked, no-nonsense single mom, is his target, and the chase is on!
Picture this: one weekend of wild fantasies, then poof, Scarlett vanishes, leaving our smitten prince scouring the kingdom for his mystery woman for two years!
When he finally tracks her down, he’s not just here for a stroll down memory lane—he’s here for keeps, and babe, he's pulling out all the stops to win her over.
But it’s not all swoon and spice (though there's plenty of both!). Scarlett’s juggling life as a mechanic and raising a sassy teen daughter, with a past she's desperately trying to move on from.
Does that scream “princess material”? Maybe not. But Cian? He’s not looking for glass slippers—he’s after the real deal. And he’s got nineteen days to prove that this fairytale is worth a second chance.
With laugh-out-loud moments, dirty talk that'll have you fanning yourself, and enough heart to make you tear up.
Rags to Royals gives us a deliciously modern take on fairytales. Add in a reverse age gap (yep, Scarlett’s the older one), a bodyguard bestie who’s equally swoon-worthy, and a royal family that’s causing all sorts of chaos, and you've got a book that’s equal parts romance and fire.
This is the kind of story that reminds you why you love romance—so, grab it, devour it, and enjoy all the regal spice it brings to the table. Trust me, you'll want to be on Team Cian by the time you're done! 👑
This book surprised me. I kind of expected it to be more one dimensional (he’s a prince…) I don’t know why, prejudgment probably. Anyway, this was layered in so many ways and talked about important issues and thoughts on religion.
Religion items is usually a no for me with reading, but this had layers and interesting takes on it. And since I try to post no spoilers, let’s move on.
Scarlet has been through a lot and is a single mom, but the community she built is truly beautiful and inspiring. Honestly wish it for all moms, but I digress.
I think what I loved most is that when she first met Cain she was pretending to be her sister and took advantage of getting to be a different person and act differently. But then as Cain and her spent time together again he started digging into their previous time together to determine was real & what was fake. Despite Scarlet saying nothing she told him was true, she actually was herself, just a more outgoing, less inhibited version. And finding a person who you feel like you can be yourself around is the dream.
Anyway, sexy dominant price who listens to you? Check. Precious, spunky 15 year old girl? Check. Twin, supportive sisters? Check. Sarcastic, get shit done bodyguard? Check. King offered up a grandson in poker game? Check.
This book was fun and sexy and heartfelt. This is technically a standalone book, but all the new characters were a lot at the beginning. Per usual, I just went with the flow and knew I’d figure it at at some point since the into/explanation just confused me. I really liked it!
I love this series so much, I cried so many times when the whole Landry family came together but also when we got to see the O’Grady family all together as well. This book also set up so many future books that I’m desperate to get my hands on, but alas I will wait.
Cian is a character I couldn’t help but love like everyone else in his life. I think Henry said the whole family will do what ever it takes to make Cian happy and reading this I felt the same way. I loved how he went into the situation with Scarlett knowing he will get his heartbroken, I have recently done something similar and I think we all forget pain is a part of life, but it doesn’t make it a bad thing all the time.
Scarlett and Cian are absolutely spectacular together, I loved them from start to finish. They see each other as who they are rather than what they show to the world, and I loved how Cian pushed Scarlett’s prejudices away as well, especially towards rich people. They have insane chemistry it flies off the page and wraps the reader in it till they are also feeling hot and bothered.
Finally, Cian’s relationship with Mariah, Scarlett’s daughter, is fantastic and so heartwarming. His scenes with her and Leah, along with the school teaching just shows how much he loves her and is willing to step up and be in her life permanently!
As I said before, I can’t wait for the next book, but if you haven’t started this series yet, I’d say definitely go check it out!
“Because I did it to share it with you. I guess when I couldn’t, I just… kept it to myself. I wasn’t sure it would mean that much to anyone else.”
I love a royal romance but this one was so much more than just that. Cian and Scarlet were truly meant to be and this book caused all the feeling to FEEL! I’m so glad I was able to read this as an ARC and be able to review this!
Cian is a green forest truly, the way once he realized that Henry knew where Scarlet was that he dropped everything and anything he was doing to get to her and win her over. He also listened so well to her and supported her fully even when he realized that she had told little lies about her identity when they had met the couple years back. He made her idea a reality and that literally brought me to tears because it was so heartwarming to see.
Scarlet is such a strong single mom. Growing up with a single mom I know how hard it is, so the way it was portrayed was so beautiful and the way she wanted to help other single moms…. Tear jerking. She was beautiful inside and out and consistently showing her love to family and friends but her community never forgave her but she learnt to stand up for herself! Such a girl boss truly. I loved and lived every part of her character.
Overall, this love story had so many turns and twists but they truly stayed loyal to each other and you never doubted that they would end up together or give up on each other. So grateful to review this in exchange for the ARC 💙💙💙
Rags To Royals is a delightfully sweet and spicy romance filled with growth and so much heart! I loved the reverse age gap aspect and of course the found family.
Cian is a dirty talking, laid back prince who is more intelligent and caring than everyone knows. I loved getting to know him! And the way he pursues Scarlett? Be ready to both swoon and fan yourself. Scarlett has a difficult backstory that has her feeling like she doesn't deserve happiness. Watching her open up to Cian and forgive herself was everything. These two connect on a soul deep level that was so beautiful. Mariah, Scarlett's daughter, was so amazing too. I loved her relationship with her mom and Cian.
So much happens in their story that had me smiling! I love that Cian helps Scarlett feel free to be her true self while also worshipping the ground she walks on. I love that she makes sure that his family knows the amazing things he does to help others. She shows him that he is just as wonderful as his siblings. Gah! I just loved everything about this book! I can't wait for more of Henry too!! (Henry is Cian's best friend and bodyguard)
Scarlett and Cian meet during a hot and wild weekend. But after that weekend, Cian has spent the last 19 months trying to find Scarlett. Scarlett was using that weekend as a chance to just be free. Now Cian wants 19 days to get to truly know her and prove they were made for each other.
Their love story is insta-love but when we are getting swept up by a prince, that’s what we want anyway. It has single mom, reverse age gap, secret identity (royalty), small town, blue collar (Scarlett is a mechanic), and found family.
At first I was worried that Cian wasn’t going to have shown much growth from his playboy past, but I liked the way his changes was gently revealed to Scarlett as just a simple part of his life while he was without her. Scarlett showed so much self love, realization, and acceptance of her past by the end.
There is a lot going on with this story. But even with that, it’s not hard to keep up. There are references made to other stories and other series but I haven’t read those and I was totally fine. The rest of this series has been set up so well and I can’t wait to read it.
OVERALL: 🌟🌟🌟🌟/5 •Storyline: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 •Narration: 🎧🎧🎧🎧/5 •Spice Level: 🌶🌶.5/ 5 •Swoon level: 🫠🫠🫠🫠/5 •Re-Listen/Re-Read: Yes, I think I will •Platform: Audiobook and Ebook •Trope: Second Chance, Single Mom, Hidden Identify, He Falls First and Hard. Reverse age gap (6 years)
• Thoughts: This one was cute. I adored Cian and his obsession with Scarlet. He knew down to the marrow of his bones Scarlet was it for him, his commitment to find her knew no bounds, and I am here for it. It made me completely happy. I love the drive of Scarlet and her focus on being a single mom! This family is so fun and interesting! I am fully invested. I am looking forward to the next book!
NARRATOR THOUGHTS: Amelia Hugh and Connor Crais •Duet Narration •Listening at a 1.5 speed. It's Connor of course he did a stand up job. Period. Enough said. Amelia is a new to me narrator, and she killed it!! She did an amazing job! I look forward to other books she narrates.
•Recommend note: I will always encourage people to read what makes them happy. If it sounds good, read it! My reviews are just that, my opinion. Happy reading, friends.
I think I love Cian O'Grady most of all. Ever since his sister Fiona showed up in Autre and the brothers and bodyguards soon followed, Cian has continually been a favorite side character, and Rags to Royals has solidified why he's my favorite of the O'Grady's. He quietly just wants to take care of everyone and wants to be a part of the lives of the people he loves in any way possible.
Enter Scarlett Gale, whom Cian spent one weekend with nineteen months ago, and he's been searching for her ever since. She's a single mom just trying to quietly live her life in her hometown with help from her twin, Ruby. When Cian, with the help of his bodyguard, Henry, finally finds Scarlett... he'll do anything to make her his. I adore everything about Scarlett and Cian as a couple. Scarlett's tenacity and strength is uplifting, and her daughter, Mariah, and Mariah's BFF Greta are probably my favorite side characters of this book. Also, all of the Wizard of Oz references... chef's kiss.
"I've told you I don't fall in love. Except with you."
This is the third book in this impressive series, and this is Cian and Scarlett’s story. Scarlet is a feisty single mom to a sassy 15-year-old daughter, and is a mechanic in her hometown, and Cian is a golden retriever royal prince who fell hard for her from the moment he met her and has been searching for her for the past few years. Scarlet feels unworthy of Cian’s love, and he is determined to break through the walls around her heart, which start to happen when she sees how her cares for her and her daughter. This is a well written story which has found family, friendships, emotions, a reverse age gap, twists, humor, witty banter, and love, which leads to an entertaining, and sweet small town romance. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
I’ve never been much for “royal” books, but Erin makes these stories so believable. I mark each release on my calendar, and it seems like an eternity waiting to get more of each family she writes. I read this book in one sitting because I couldn’t NOT read it to the finish. Each time she cracks open her alpha characters and pours in a ton of benevolence, so it just oozes out on each page until the end. Just as I do, you’ll love “sexy, charming Cian”; “dirty talking, bossy Cian”; “sweet, playful Cian”; “quiet charitable Cian”; and “proud-choked-up-bashful Cian”. Mariah will steal your heart too.
Erin Nicole aka Erin Nicholas knows how to write series with wonderful casts of characters. I always love getting to know the extended family and friends in each book, and can't wait to see whose book will come next.
This series is a great example of that. I have been enjoying getting to know everyone and was excited to dive into Cian and Scarlett's story. There was nice character and relationship development and the story flowed at a nice pace. It does feel like a fairytale story with the prince tracking down the woman he loves, and she's living a regular, small town life. This was a nice read and I love getting to read a royal romance with Erin's signature humor and heart.
Thank you to the author for providing an ARC for an honest review.
Fairytale A modern, Cinderella style romance with a real prince and a single-mother mechanic, an arranged marriage and a lot of romance. Cian and Scarlett are fun, steamy, swoony and sweet. She’s determined to make up for her past in her hometown and he’s determined to get to know the real Scarlett and convince her to marry him. Ms Nicolle creates deep, complex and relatable characters, she weaves a story that keeps you enchanted and longing for more and she crafts endings that bring the biggest smiles. I’m looking forward to the next instalment in this wonderful series.
This was such a good read! I loved how Cian fell for Scarlett after their unforgettable fantasy weekend. Scarlett just wanted to let loose before moving back home to take over her dad’s garage, but little did she know she’d catch the eye of a prince.
Cian’s determination to find her again and make their relationship work is like a dream come true. Scarlett tries hard to resist, but he’s insistent they’ll make it. All the little things he does for her throughout the story will give you all the warm fuzzies. This is a book I will tell all my friends to read.
What woman doesn't want to be swept off her feet by a dirty talking prince? Scarlet. What a fun read. Scarlet and Cian were great to read. She's a single mom that spent a wild weekend with a prince and thought she'd never see him again. He's spent the last two years thinking about her and searching for her. Now he needs to get married but doesn't want to marry the woman his grandfather has chosen. Can Cian make Scarlet fall for him?
Another fabulous entry in the Royals series by Erin Nichols! This is a version of the second chance trope as Prince Cian, the royal playboy, has been living in Autre, Louisiana with many of the royals and meets a woman at one of the many weddings there, however she disappears. The royals want him married off to a princess and he wants to find the girl! An entertaining read as when he finds Scarlet she makes him work hard for her. Loved the he fell first and all the things he did for love. Secondary character, Mariah is Scarlet’s teenage daughter, was another character I loved. Great read and can’t wait for the next one!
Chan…is most definitely my favorite royal. Talk about golden retriever, all-in swooniness. I just loved loved loved his and Scarlet’s story. Fierce, independent, compassionate single mom who doesn’t NEED a guy or even a prince to take care of her but oh how nice it is when when does. And as usual, the huge group of Landrys and O’Gradys make a fantastic story even better.
I love this series so much! Cian was the best hero. I was frustrated with Scarlett early on, as she was making so many assumptions and punishing herself. I did appreciate her circumstances and personal growth as the story progressed. All supporting characters are great. I know I'm missing out on some fun references as I haven't read Erin Nicholas's prior series. However these books are highly enjoyable on their own. Enough background is provided to understand. Super spicy as well as sweet. The ending was a surprise, and can't wait for the next few stories in the series.
This was the first book I've read in this series, and I absolutely loved it! The characters are so much fun to see navigating this story, and all the side characters make me want to go back and read the other two books to learn more about them. I especially can't wait for the rest of the books in the series because there are several lead ups in this book that tease for the future, and it's really exciting.
I listened to this one on audiobook and really enjoyed it. Both narrators had great voices for these characters and did a great job matching the emotions of this book and bringing it to life. I always recommend going audio, especially if you've got things you need to get done around the house (dishes, laundry, etc) and this one is a great story to keep you focused on something other than the dread of doing chores. Go grab it!
✨ARC REVIEW✨ I didn’t know much about this series going in, so I grabbed the first book and started reading it. I skipped the second book (I may go back and read it later) and went straight to Cian and Scarlett’s story. And I absolutely fell in LOVE! It’s a great story and you don’t need to read the others to enjoy it! Looking forward to Ruby and Henry’s book next!!
