There’s a competition at school to come up with the best design for a section of the playground. Poppy’s design is beautiful, bur will she be able to prove that she hasn’t cheated?
Holly Webb is one of Britain's best-loved children's writers. She has written over a hundred books for children, and her work has been translated into over thirty languages. Holly lives in Tilehurst, just outside of Reading, Berkshire, with her husband, three children and several cats.
In the third book of the series, Poppy is inspired by the school's new competition to win a garden design for their space they have going spare or to waste at school and designs a garden inspired by the designer himself.
Only as school bully Ali puts her down can she overcome her fears and submit the design before she misses out on the chance to enter...
We see the girl's friendship shine through as Poppy feels really down it takes the other girls working together to make Poppy's Garden entry better and more fabulous than before Ali insulted her. A more serious and sad book showing just how feelings can be hurt and how dreams can come true you didn't know existed before!
It was a really great book. Not the greatest though but still great since it made me feel a rollercoaster of emotions that is impossible to feel towards a children type of book that's why this book was really great. It was just a bit boring at the start but it gets better and better every page and chapter. I really enjoyed it.
