Cecelia Mecca outdoes herself in this series of books that take true and powerful historic events in Scotland and weaves a series of intriguing tales of love, allegiances, intrigue and romance together in unique plots. All the books are fast-paced and filled with action, steam and colorful characters during the time of William Wallace. Those were dangerous and exciting times to be living on the border of Scotland and England. Characters from opposites sides in the conflict must learn to trust each other and form bonds when it seems impossible. But Cecelia always seems to bring the stories to a happy and perfect ending when that seems impossible. This is an opportunity for you to get the first 4 novels n 1 set. Do it; you won't regret it!

I have previously read and reviewed all of the well-written novels in this box set, with brawny warriors who are unafraid to face danger as they protect the ladies they love. Each of the books is a standalone, but they are interrelated and they all come to a wonderful conclusion. Well-researched and bringing the historical background to life through the characters, I can only recommend this series to anyone who loves historical romance, and in particular those with a medieval flavor.
