Aleatha Romig did it again! Till Death Do Us Part was fantastic. The story of Aléjandro and Mia was a page-turner right from the start. It had all the drama, action, suspense, sexy scenes you could ask for!

Mia Luciano wasn't keen on marrying again after what she experienced from her first husband. She was enjoying her singlehood until her brother Dario told her she was to marry Alejandro Rodriguez, head of the Mexican cartel. Defiant at first but Mia knows how important these alliances are, so reluctantly she agrees. But she clarified to Alejandro that she didn’t want this marriage and laid down some rules for him to respect and follow. That's what I like about Mia's character she speaks her mind. Alejandro understood where Mia was coming from and promised he wouldn’t do anything she didn’t want. Alejandro proved to be a kind and patient man when it comes to Mia but to others they’ve known him to be ruthless and someone to be feared for. When will Mia realize Alejandro is far better than Rocco? Can Alejandro wait that long? Ah, the plot thickens as the story progresses!

It was cleverly plotted and had me on the edge for a while there towards the end. Intense and steamy scenes are well-written with compelling characters that can't help but love. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and would recommend it if you're into this kind of trope.

This is the 2nd standalone installment to the Brutal Vows series. Mia is the younger sister to Dario from the first book now capo to the mafia. She was in an abusive arranged marriage to Rocco for 10 years and is newly widowed. Alejandro is the son of the Mexican cartel leader. We see how Alejandro and Mia interacted with their first few encounters (before Rocco was offed). To cement alliances stronger between the two mafia/cartel clans, Alejandro finds out Mia is free and he wants her as his wife. Mia has no choice but to reluctantly accept. I think I love this one a bit more than the first book. Just the way how patient Alejandro is with Mia. Alejandro will show Mia he is not like her dead husband. I loved seeing their relationship develop. There’s a bit of suspense in this one as well that keeps you on your toes. I already added Dante and Camila’s story next!

I received this book at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

Mia has suffered at the hands of her now deceased husband for years. After moving back in with her mother, who's equally in mourning of her own husband, Mia's father. Mia is told she is to marry, again. With zero options or having any say in it.
Aléjandro has wanted Mia for a while now, and he chose her to marry. Aléjandro knows he has his hands full when it comes to Mia, and he is up for the challenge and then some.

I love Aleath's stories. A mix of everything in one. I could have kept reading on and on. The steam and spicyness between this couple was off the charts, and the suspense was fantastic.
Mia's confidence grew as time went on, and Aléjandro really helped her. He was patient and kind and earned her trust.

I am looking forward to the next book. Definitely recommend 👌

Aleatha is back in the mafia/cartel world and it was glorious!! This is a standalone but you will have more context if you read Now and Forever first.

You know that sparks flew when Alejandro and Mia first met and now you get to discover how they deal with their warring feelings of the past.

This started off so good but overall fell flat for me by the end. After Mia survived a 10 year long marriage to an abusive mafia member, she finally is set free and can live her life. But soon after, she is forced by her brother and Don to marry into the cartel to keep alliances. I loved how much strength Mia had to not only survive an abusive relationship but to then do her duty by marrying Alejandro, even though she is not happy about it.

I hated the confidence in Dario’s voice. “I won’t say. no,” I acquiesced. “But I can and will tell you that I hate you for doing this to me.” Dario nodded. “I mean it, Dario. I’ll hate you until the day you die, just like Father.”

This was so powerful and I wish Mia stayed in this mindset for longer in the book. Instead in my opinion she falls too quickly in love with Alejandro. I wish she fought it more and i wish we had more background from her previous marriage. Alejandro was very protective of Mia and most of the time was kind towards her but I felt like sometimes he almost threatened her that he could do whatever he wanted to at any time.

Also I felt like the drama and action was kind of subpar and was too late in the story which made it wrap up too quickly.

Overall, it was an okay mafia story , I just wanted more plot and action. I did like the supporting characters, especially Alejandro’s mom. She was a second mom to Mia and I loved them hanging out together.

Till Death Do Us Part, Book #2 in Aleatha Romig's Brutal Vows Series brings all the suspense, tension and steamy scenes you could possibly want in an arranged marriage/mafia/cartel romance. I absolutely LOVED this story! I thought I'd read it slowly and savor it, but that idea went right out the window once I started reading. I could not put it down!

Mia and Alejandro might have appeared to be incompatible at the beginning, but it was clear that wasn't going to last long. Alejandro, being the Alpha he was, had every intention of getting what he wanted, or should I say, who he wanted, and that was the widow, Mia Luciano. Mia's mind told her she wanted no part of Alejandro, but her body was telling her another story. Turns out, Alejandro was not quite the man Mia expected him to be. Likewise, Alejandro was pleasantly surprised to find Mia was so much more than he expected. I couldn't get enough of these two and their wonderful back-and-forth as they slowly opened up to each other.

Till Death Do Us Part is another captivating novel from the very talented Aleatha Romig. I could read stories like this from her on a daily basis and still be left wanting more. This series is so enjoyable. Sure, there's violence and danger, but the stories are more about the characters and their relationships. I really have enjoyed that. I'm looking forward to reading Book #3, Bound By A Promise!

YES! This was amazing! I loved watching Mia learn to trust Alejandro and fall in love with him. And he was soooo good to her. I did not read the first book in the series, but this did not leave me feeling lost. I'll go back and read it at some point, but I'm definitely here for the next one in the series.

Mia and Alejandro’s story is a great addition to this series. I didn’t think I was going to love Alejandro but Ms. Romig always finds a way to make me! Their chemistry is crazy and I really enjoyed watching their relationship blossom.

I’m loving this new series so much.
Mafia/Cartel romance at its best in my opinion.
Mia was married to a real @$$ before her brother killed him. Now she’s promised to Alejandro, the son of the head of the Cartel. She is not thrilled.
I knew there was chemistry after their first encounter and man it’s off the charts.
Alejandro isn’t as bad as his reputation, he is so kind and understanding to Mia, it makes my heart melt. When they finally do get together it is hot.
Can’t wait for Dario and Catalina’s story next.

Fantastic!

Alejandro and Mia are a beautiful couple. Their original meeting was humorous, their marriage beginning was emotional and their growth powerful. I can’t wait to read more in this series.

I loved this one!!🥰

All that was missing in the first book of this series was better developed in this 2nd love story, which saw Dario's sister Mia, who recently became widow, get married without her will (obliged by her brother the new KC Capo dei capi) to the heir of the Mexican Cartel Alejandro Rodriguez.
Alejandro and Mia were fire together...definitely better matched than Dario and Catalina.

I loved their love story so much. Mia was a tough cookie with a lot of fragilities. She was 2 years older than Alejandro and had a 10 years former marriage on her shoulder with a man she hated that had left her with a lot of trauma.
She challenged Alejandro a lot and had a more complex personality than Catalina.

Alejandro was sexy, cocky and had a passion and fire that Dario was missing.
He was the first falling for her... and I love this trup.
I think the ending was cut a bit short. It was like the writer had to wrap everything quickly because the book reached the expected page number.

Can't wait to read the next story about Dante and Camilla.

Mia and Alejandro were fire! Learning about each other after their marriage was a challenge they both faced head on. I loved Mia’s honesty and Alejandro’s understanding. His sensitivity seemed incongruent with his reputation but that made him all the more lovable to Mia.
I’m looking forward to the next arranged marriage in this series.

Wow, I loved the first book I. This series but this one was fantastic. Widower has past her 6 months of mourning and now she has to marry again, to someone she doesn’t really know. Her first marriage has put her off for life, cue Jano. Great story and looking forward to the next book in the series.

Fantastic second book in this series!
This one had a unique arranged marriage. The hero usually wants a virgin he can claim and control.
That's what I loved about this one none of the above happened.
Mia was broken and battered and as I read and met her I prayed she would not end up with a cruel man in her SECOND arranged marriage.
Alejandro was patient and kind. I was blown away by this high ranking man in the Cartel. He was ruthless but not with her.
Their story was beautiful to watch play not exactly how I would normally think an arranged marriage between Cartel & Italian Mafia.
But that's Aleatha Romig always keeping us on our toes in her books.
I can't wait for the next one!

It was so good to really get to see Alejandro for who he really is. We got a glimpse of him in the first book, but this one showed us who the man really is and it was surprising. Mia wasn't the cold woman we got a peak at in the first book either. We got to peel back the layers and really got to see what the damage to her marriage to Rocco did to her. She kept her secrets and now that Dario and Dante know they wish they had known, but as she told them, she was the dutiful Mafia wife and kept quiet because it didn't do their mom any good.

It was good to see these two grow and be honest with each other and it was great to see Mia understand what Catalina had gone through with her marriage to Dario in the first book and understanding that she is in the same position as Catalina but in reverse with the cartel and wanting to do better.

This book was really good showing the differences between the Mafia and Cartel since we got a peek into the Mafia with the first book and now the Cartel with this book. Can't wait for book 3 which was setup at the end of this book!!

Ms. Romig knows how to write a romance story with mystery and intrigue and dark themes and all the feels. And this Mafia romance lived up to her reputation.

We first meet Mia and Aléjandro when he and his family arrive for Mia's brother's wedding. Months later, Mia may finally be free from the clutches of her abusive, traitorous husband and her controlling father. Those thoughts are dashed away when she is given "orders" to marry a member of the Cartel, Aléjandro.

What started as her refusal to be the woman she thinks he expects slowly turns into understanding and love as the two spend time in each other's company and she gets to know her husband. She grows loyal to him.

Now, it wouldn't be a Mafia romance, nor a Ms. Romig story if it didn't include some suspense, mystery, and scenes filled with enough danger to keep you on the edge of your seat, biting your nails, and gasping as you quickly flip your thumb on the screen of you Kindle to find out how it all comes together and the mystery is solved.

To say I am a fan of this author's work is an understatement. To say I enjoyed this story is an even bigger one. I loved this one and can't wait for my next Aleatha Romig story!

The second book in The Brutal Vows series is full of emotion. Mia, who escaped a bad marriage, has to marry again because her brother, the new Capo, says so. This makes her very upset. The relationship between Mia and Alejandro is very interesting. They start with funny conversations that slowly turn into romance. Alejandro is kind, patient, and understands Mia's problems. He helps her heal and learn what love and marriage really mean. Their relationship has a great mix of feelings, danger, excitement, and spice. This story talks about misunderstandings, acceptance, and trust, making it a book you can't stop reading.

The author shows the complex relationship between Mia and Alejandro very well. Alejandro's kindness and patience help Mia heal and understand love and marriage. Their relationship has a mix of emotions, danger, excitement, and spice. This story explores misunderstandings, acceptance, and trust, making you want to read more.

This crime romance novel tells a great story of love with violence but not too gore. The characters are well developed, with Mia standing out and making you feel for her. Her journey is about not giving up and finding true love, which Alejandro provides with the right mix of strength and care. I can't wait for the next book, Dante's story!

I am loving these Brutal Vows series of interconnected stories.

Recently widowed and looking to fortify the relationship between the mafia and the cartel, Mia’s brother, Dario, arranges for her to marry the Cartel’s heir. Having been forced the first time, into an abusive and loveless marriage, Mia was final enjoying her alone time. She is dead set against marrying Alejandro, but has no choice.

Alejandro is the heir to the cartel and looking to solidify their alliance and settle down. He knew the moment he saw Mia, that he had to have her. Now he is determined to prove that he is not like her dead husband. Alejandro is absolutely perfect in his approach to Mia – thoughtful, slow and caring. After the last book, I was concerned that he would evil. Boy, did he prove me wrong. I absolutely loved this story.

Can’t wait to read about Dante and Camilla!

I loved Alejandro and Mia! Just when Mia thought she was free, she finds herself offered up again. And while I hated that for her I was excited to see how she and Alejandro would work out. It was a little slow burn but very steamy.

When it was discovered that Mia's husband was a traitor and part of a coup to overthrow her family, he was dealt with. Her husband is dead. She's finally free.

Just as her mourning period is coming to an end, Mia is told that she is once again promised to be married. Alejandro Rodriquez has requested her hand, he's the son of the leader of the Rodriquez Cartel. Their marriage will further secure the mafia/cartel alliance.

They've only met a few times and his arrogance makes her dislike him.

She doesn't want this marriage, especially after how her first marriage turned out.

Death saved her once maybe it can save her again?

Thank you so much to the author and Wildfire Marketing for this ARC to review.

This is the second standalone story in the Brutal Vows world.

Another marriage has been arranged between the Rodríguez/Luciano Cartel/Maffia alliance. The alliance is still relatively new and uneasy.

Mia; the bride to be, the capo's dei capi's sister and recent widow neither likes her betrothed nor wants to be married at all.

The groom to be Aléjandro, the oldest son of El Patrón wants Mia as soon as he finds out that she's no longer married.
"I like a woman with fire in her blood. Much better than a timid little girl."

It's fun reading about the development of their relationship when their first physical encounter comprised of a caress (him) and a slap (her).

Aleatha yet again humanizes her morally ambiguous characters to the extent that I fall in love with them every time.
"Any element in life that forms us into the person we are is significant."

I was well and truly Aleatha'd, she's done it again.

Wow! I absolutely loved this book. Amazing characters and wonderful plot. Very beautifully written and easy to read.

Mia Luciano was forced to marry the son of her father’s consigliere. Being the only daughter of the Kansas City capo, she couldn’t say no. Their marriage wasn’t built on love and she suffered through it. Up until her husband died. She thought she was finally free. Until the new capo, her brother, informs her that she is yet again promised to another man. Aléjandro Roríguez is the son of the leader of the Roríguez cartel. They met at her brother’s wedding. Despite everything she was attracted to him. And now she is set to marry him. I loved their chemistry and passion. They are good for each other.

Overall I loved this book very much. If you’re looking for an arranged marriage, mafia/cartel, enemies to lovers romance then you’re going to love it.

Mafia/cartel stories are my absolute favorites!! Aleatha is the master storyteller of both.
Aléjandro Roríguez is required to marry Mia Luciano to create a more solidified front between the mafia and cartel. He loves her spitfire and sass even though she was recently widowed.
Mia wants nothing to do with Aléjandro. From the moment she met him, she despised him even though he made her feel things her old marriage never did.
Their story has some twists and turns that I did predict, but overall, this was a highly enjoyable 2nd book to the Brutal Vows series. I’m looking forward to the 3rd installment. 4⭐️’s.

My heart went out to Mia!

Finally free from a brutal, loveless marriage. Or, was she.

Not even to the end of her six month mourning period and betrothed to another!

Will he be the same as Rocco? Or can he thaw the ice Mia has built around her heart?

Got to tell you...I loved Alejandro! Swoon!

His patience was that of a saint! But, I totally understood where Mia was coming from.

Alejandro's mother was so wise, and her discussion with Mia, eye opening for Mia and spot on.

The Russian Bratva is on the attack.

The question is, whether Alejandro and/or Mia can survive for an HEA!

Another fantastic addition to the series!

Ms. Romig's writing is amazing, captivating, exciting! I loved every minute!

Holy moly, this book is fantastic! Authors are very clever because they lead you down one path of thinking, and then “bam!” What you thought you knew wasn’t quite right at all! Take the lead character, Alejandro; I found him arrogant, selfish, and threatening in book one. In this book, he still could be, but not to his family and friends and definitely not to Mia, his new wife. Talk about a complete turnaround! Well… okay, he isn’t a snivelling weak-as-water guy either.

This story is about their romance and their growth. It truly is an uplifting book and every bit as good as Now and Forever, the first book. To go with the romance is a hefty dose of intrigue about who is trying to target the cartel, especially Alejandro and Mia.

All in all, it is a terrific book and one I have no hesitation in recommending.

After reading Now and Forever, I wasn’t interested in reading Mia and Alejandro’s story. But then I read an excerpt and decided to give it a try. I enjoyed the story, but didn’t feel the chemistry between Mia and Alejandro. I wasn’t sure about Alejandro, but Aleatha has a way of making you fall in love with the unlikable. I do like how Alejandro treats Mia. Mia is a bit of a conundrum. She’s tough, but at the same time seems young despite being nearly 30 years old. There was one minor plot point that I would have liked a little more depth on, but otherwise the story was wrapped up nicely.

Yes! Mia and Alejandro's story is definitely an enemies, on Mia's part, to lovers romance, and it it makes for a fabulous read. I love Mia's strength, having gone through so much unhappiness throughout her marriage to the horrible Rocco, and her vulnerability, which could be exploited. The 'system' under which she lives, leaves so little room for freedom of choice for the women, though there are chinks appearing! Times are a-changing....incrementally, and there are those who are not happy about it.
The relationship between Mia and Jano takes centre stage here and it is a lovely one, with Alejandro showing himself to be a man of substance, patience and kindness. Aleatha writes with an energy and love of her characters, which draws you into the narrative and leaves you knowing you have read something fabulous. 💖💖💖💖💖

I wasn't too sure how I was going to feel about Mia and Alejandro's book, but i absolutely LOVED IT!!! It was not at all what I was expecting and I loved that. Even thought this series has the mafia/cartel undercurrent, it not like other books with these themes that I have read in the past. I loved Mia's strength to overcome the awful things that happened to her in the past, and I found Alejandro's patience and understanding honestly remarkable. I cannot wait to read the next book in this series. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book for my honest review.
