I read this book over three nights. It's about Maggie a young woman who meets Steve a GI in Southampton. Steve is a bit of a jack-the-lad and is very charming at first.
During Maggie's relationship with Steve, she also begins a friendship with Joshua, a young soldier from Mississippi.
It's a bittersweet love story about life for a young woman during the war. I laughed and cried. Beautiful story.

Great reading

It's great to see a story that crosses cultural boundaries. A fantastic read and it's fantastic to know that UK society has moved on.

It Had to Be

A book of intrigue, sadness , excitement and romance. This one has it all. You just have to read to the end just to find out the good or the bad.
