A fairly good and informative book which reveals history, facts and figures one wants to know about running. My favourite part was the story of Kathrine Switzer the first women who ran marathon after a long fight to allow women to compete in long distance races. Kathrine Switzer says: "When I go to Boston marathon now I have wet shoulders - women fall in my arms crying. They are weeping for joy because running has changed their lives. They feel they can do anything."
Despite no longer being a serious runner I totally loved this collection of facts and oddities about running. It would make an ideal gift for the runner in your life and I know Paul would love to sell a few more. Part 2 is coming soon! I can't wait.
