This pattern book makes each part of the Twelve Days of Christmas song.

The instructions are clear and most come with a picture to show you what they are talking about. I would say this would be easy for an intermediate knitter. The only crochet you would need is for a single chain stitch.

It's a great way to use your yarn up with these cute figures from the song.

I can't wait to try the seven swans a swimming!

I borrowed this book from my local library.

The patterns in this book are cute and seem well-written. I'm not a particular fan of how the eyes on the humanoid dolls were done, but that's easy to change and the rest of the projects' details were all very cute. If you or your family are big fans of the "12 Days of Christmas" song, these would be cute projects for you.

I had forgotten about this book until I stumbled upon it in my knitting shelve. A great way to use up oddments of yarn and I immediately started on the first project. These should be fast and fun to do and I can think of a plethora of uses for them, Christmas tree ornaments, gift tags, a table top display or on a wreath.

The projects are very cute but after reading a few reviews by others I don't believe I will be encouraging my mom to make these for next Xmas as her arthritic hands won't handle it.

Aside from the knitted patterns for all of the characters for the Twelve Days of Christmas, there is a little story about each - a little background for what they stood for in the old song of the same name. I would like to be ambitious enough to make one of each, but sadly, it probably will never happen. I did buy some yarn for the partridge body, but I will still have to come up with the yarn for the head. I love the creativity and dedication of the author for creating and knitting all of the pieces for the photos in the book.

Never my favorite Christmas carol, this was fun to look at. I can't imagine knitting all those lords, birds, maids and so on.
