Hot, cocky and extremely irritating. He came for me and now I’m stuck with the most insufferable roomie I’ve ever had the misfortune to meet. Rough, sexy and all man. With the foulest mouth I’ve ever heard and the hardest man I never want to meet. My Bodyguard.
I was sent to babysit a wildcat. Long, dark, wavy, hair with curves that beg to be touched. She’s sassy, wicked and answers back. More trouble than a man can stand and would look good bound, gagged and spread out for my pleasure. But she’s more than that. She’s everything I ever wanted and everything I should avoid. She comes with a target on her back and it’s about to be hit. Can I save her and stop myself from falling? What do you think?
I received an ARC of this book and I am voluntary leaving a review. This is my first book of Stella Andrews and I really liked it. It was a MC book and those are one of my favorite tropes. I loved the relationship between Lucy and Jet. Jet had his sweet side but when it mattered he took care of business. So hot. Lucy and Jet fit perfectly together. They were a good match for each other.
Such a great read ...newbie to Stella Andrews ... quick read for me ...hot and steamy ... love these characters ... from the outside it doesn't look like your normal MC Romance ... I gotta see what it is or what is listed under on Amazon? so curious. A lot of it is kind of funny .. or at least kind of romcom-ie, to me??! It is in Kindle Unlimited if you so desire or wanna check it out??! military, new adult, college, romance ... those are what are listed on the AMAZON ... genre listing? nothing about bikers or MC Romance? i wonder??! great style. love those characters. I can see this in a thriller, action movie? anyone else? I will be reading more from Stella soon enough!! well done!! U ROCK!!! ( ;
It’s basically a insta-love story, which are okay in novellas, when there isn’t much room. This book had the storyline where a building romance would have worked really well. What could have started as a job, slowly turned into feelings, as they got to know each other. Instead, almost instantly after meeting, they have “feelings” for each other. Yet, the character is all “no, I don’t want help”, just to add some drama into the mix. So as she’s pushing him away, she’s also pulling him in. She gives attitude and is all “this is how it will be”, but these parts don’t fit the meek character that has been built. Like the author was trying to build a “strong” female, but only chose specific times to show these signs. Plus, they weren’t strength; I found her quite rude considering they don’t know each other at all. I’d still be wondering what is going on rather than trying to lay down ground rules.
“This man affects me in the most destructive of ways.” This is two hours after meeting, when she sees him talking to another woman.
Same scene, shortly after that: “I want my heart back before it gets damaged beyond repair.” Why does he already have her heart.
The writing really needs a bit more editing. It wasn’t bad enough that I had to stop reading cause of it, but bad enough it was consistent enough to annoy me.
Lastly, the use of nicknames...Oh, I’d kill a guy if he referred to me with that many names. Darlin, honey, baby...sometimes these were all on one page, back to back. A) someone doesn’t need to be called by a name/title every single time you talk to them and B) really? Basic ‘relationship’ names? Darlin was the post popular one that he used. This honestly took over the book so much for me. It was so hard to focus when he’s using some nickname like that over and over. Once or twice occasionally is cute. But to be giving her those titles...no thanks. It I took a shot every time he used a nickname like that on her, I’d be drunk within 2 pages; that’s how many times it was used.
Loved the Twisted Reapers!, Love this series, keeps getting better Bodyguard directly ties to Billion Dollar Baby and is Lucy and Jet's story. While the stories all intertwine, they can be read as stand alone. Lucy is in trouble, she agreed to help her best friend and sister of her heart Sydney while she is away dealing with her biological family. Keeping Sydney's dance studio open and her dream alive has put her in the sights of the local mob head, Michael Santobrello and if he can't get Sydney to dance in his strip club, Lucy will do. He knows that she has lost the protection of her married politician boyfriend. He owns the studio and her apartment building, it's only a matter of time. The only thing holding Lucy from running is her promise to Sydney. Then walks in Jet, he infuriates and lights her on fire. He offers her hope, but she fears for his safety . How can one man take on the local mob. Jet is a Twisted Reaper solider, a former Navy SEAL, he proudly serves under Ryder King. Ryder is the President of the Twisted Reapers MC, an untouchable government organization. He is feared by the very people he works for. He is judge, jury and executioner, with his own sense of justice. He has sent Jet on what amounts to a babysitting mission. Then he meets Lucy. She is strong, and broken, lost in a hopeless situation. She is fiercely loyal and has a back bone of steel. One kiss and Jet will take on all comers for her, she is not longer just a job, she has stolen his heart. A dirty politician, with ties to the local mob boss. Jet will take them down. He will use the local MC, the Dark Angels, to help him do it. He will protect Sydney's dream. He will make Lucy safe and if she is willing, make her his old lady. He will try to make things right for the women and children of the monster he destroys. Loved Jet and Lucy's story. Fast paced and steamy. Loved Atom, the President of the Dark Angels MC. Hoping he and Clara get a story. They both deserve happiness. Can't wait for the next book. Stella Andrews books. They are automatic buy for me. I know I will get a great story. Reading Order to get the best out of the series. For the badass bikers, the Reapers play a small roll in The first two books, they take center stage in Daddy's Girls, and play a strong roll in all the books after. The Highest Bidder Rocked Daddy's Girls Twisted The Billion Dollar Baby Bodyguard
Hung in until 38% and I just cannot anymore. DNF. Ugh it’s bad when 25% of the way in, I know the book isn’t well written and will just annoy me. At 30% I know I should quit because it just gets worse.
The musings of both Jet and Lucy are immature. And there are annoying timing issues - at the end of the day they meet Jet is all, I’ve only known her for TWO days. Huh?! Two??? Makes no sense. He literally rolled into town that morning, went to work with Lucy, then went home with her and had dinner. So how has it been two days? And Lucy just seems pathetic and the chemistry isn’t there. At first it seemed not too bad but as they interact more and you’re subject to their thoughts more than actual events happening in the story, it’s just painful.
Lucy goes to confront her ex (boss and boyfriend) who is married. And he gives her some spiel about love and sex with his wife, and Lucy being nothing more than a mistress, to end it with Lucy owns his heart. What!? And then Lucy stands there while he kisses her and gropes her and bends her over his desk. She had to experience that before her small brain allowed her to click and think, wait a minute, this guy is an asshole and I deserve better!🙄
And in the next interaction, from Jet’s POV:
‘He [the ex] looks confused and I say in a hard voice, “I never had you down as a fool, Dominic.” He looks at me angrily, “Who are you, my mother?”’
What!? Is that an insult? Should I call on my 2nd grade self and think, oooh burn!!?
Dominic (the ex) comes chasing Lucy and tells her he loves her and will divorce his wife and make it all up to Lucy. And Lucy thinks, “I don’t know why I hesitate because these are the words I’ve wanted to hear ever since I met this man.”When just seconds before she thought, “That kiss changed everything for me and ruined me for anyone else. When Dominic kissed me, it meant nothing. It was a reminder of a past I now want to forget in the face of a future with someone else,” about Jet.
I’m sorry, I get being confused and all, but the author makes Lucy sound like an idiot. Don’t make the character think on such extremes if you want internal conflict. It just makes Lucy pathetic, and really unlikeable.

Lucy is in trouble. She knows they are coming for her, but when Jet first walks in, she's not sure who sent him. He's a cocky, arrogant one, for sure. Disrespect for the waitress by clicking his fingers - was glad to see Lucy give him grief on that. Lucy's roommate ran from a bad man, and now he's after Lucy. Lucy, still in love with her ex who's married, is ready to give up. Jet needs to come up with a solution that saves her roommate and her both. He's already falling for Lucy, and knowing she loves her ex is hard on him. They begin part one of his plan, but he has to save her from the ex when the ex gets mad and attacks her. Things kick off from there, but Lucy gets taken. Can Jet save her in time? Will the fallout be worth it?
This one doesn't expressly deal with as much bad as the previous books (until about 75-77%), but you do get the heart rate up reading. This one can be standalone. Books 2 and 3 need to be read together, and each book does need to be read in order, but this one could technically be read by itself. It's better to read them in order so you know exactly what's going on. I missed the book about Snake, but I'll read it next. I thought Ryder's book was the first, but it wasn't the first in series or the first I read.
Jet is sent to protect Sydney's friend & flatmate whilst Tyler brings his plan to fruition. Lucy is left in an awkward & precarious position whilst Sydney is in search of her true life & inheritance. Her boyfriend turned out to be married & has no intention of leaving his wife. When Lucy tries to end their relationship she is threatened with losing both her job & their home. Having promised to take care of Sydney's dance studio & teach her classes during her absence Lucy soon finds herself in yet another dangerous situation. The local mafia boss had been putting up the rent on the studio & had Sydney over a barrel when she could no longer afford to pay. He'd pressurised her into becoming a dancer at his strip club. With Sydney gone he decides Lucy will take her place. Torn between a rock & a hard place neither situation is very enticing then in saunters Jet. A cocky biker who she can't rip her eyes from. Jet isn't used to such a wilful woman & he finds it difficult to keep his eyes off her too. Over his dead body will either of these men hurt Lucy. Then the local M C comes after Jet but are left cowering when he proves he's a member of the Reapers. The most revered & respected M C in the country. Embarrassed & needing to make amends they become allies & help Jet & Lucy rid the town of both the dangerous men.
Lucy is busy trying to hold down the fort while her BFF Sydney is out of town. She gave her word to keep Sydney’s dance studio up and running all while fighting Michael the town bully and her ex Dominic who decided she wasn’t worth his time. Knowing she is fighting a clock, imposed by Michael who wanted Sydney to dance for him in exchange for her life, she is quickly running out of options. She all but gives up hope when she hears the unmistakable roar of a motorcycle, could her life be saved?
Jet might be a big, mean, MC badass but he will do whatever it takes to make sure his women are protected. Lucy is a friend, by extension, and although his butt really hurts after his long 4 hour drive, the pain is quickly forgotten when he gets a look at Lucy. This job is suddenly looking very promising.
Lucy and Jet work together to take down the 2 men that have made her life a living hell. One at a time they gather intel and put plans into action to take them down, permanently. Involving the local MC chapter brings both help and disaster but ultimately the brotherhood proves beneficial to Jet and Lucy’s main agenda. Once Jet gets Lucy back home to the Twisted Reaper compound he knows his life will change forever, in the best way possible.
A slight continuation of the storyline from previous novels but definitely a standalone novel if you haven’t read the others. I received an advance copy without expectation for review, all opinions expressed are my own.
Found another favorite author! This story starts a bit darker than I am used to. Lucy has found herself between a rock and a hard spot. Her boyfriend, and boss, isn't separated from his wife like he told her. She stood her ground and left him, but was still heartbroken. Now, she doesn't have a job, heart broken and trying to fill in at her roommates dance studio. The local mobster wants her to start dancing has his 'club' and if she doesn't then the rent on her apartment and studio will go up double every day. If she dances for him, he will then force her into prostitution, which she doesn't want to either.
Good thing her roommate sent someone to help her, Jet. He is everything that personifies a biker, but only badder! His club is the one that all the others are respectful of because they are the baddest of the bad. But in a good way.
Jet helps Lucy face her demons, in the form of her ex-, and then the mobster.
It was very well written, takes some turns and ends up fantastic with everyone winning, except the bad guys. Now I am looking forward to reading every one of Stella Andrews' books!

This was so good! I read a lot of books in this genre and I’ve seen a wide range of styles. I really liked this author and her writing style along with the interesting storyline. I loved the main character Jet and the confident way he took over the horrible situation Lucy had gotten herself in. I kind of hated that she was having a love affair with her boss who she knew was married. Kudos to the author for writing the story in such a way that I was quickly empathizing with Lucy and appreciating her spirit in the face of her crappy life. It was really Jet and the way he brought out the best in Lucy that made this a very enjoyable and romantic read! Good writing, great pacing, lots of drama and action with Jet totally on alpha male protector mode! Couldn’t ask for anything more!

ONE THRILLING TREAT!!! Oh my! Man, talk about splitting the difference. Stella really brought it with this page turning dynamo. A rollercoaster ride of emotions and events that pull you in and hold you captive. The characters are complex and believable with such depth and individuality it's easy to relate. All the drama, fear, uncertainty, danger and suspense bring this read roaring to life brilliantly. Stella weaves a world around you until nothing else exists. An intense storyline and strong plot bring it all together and keeps you riveted on every word while on a razors edge. Twists and turns abound with unexpected circumstances that make for one thrilling experience. The scenes are written with such realism it really pulls this bad boy together perfectly. Remarkable job Stella, thanks for sharing this little gem with us.
Absolutely amazing, read in one sitting the writing is captivating and addictive pulls you into the storyline, the characters are likeable and believable, there is drama, action, suspense, kidnapping and hot hot intense passion everything you want in a book. Jet tattooed and sexy as hell part of the renowned Twisted Reapers MC is sent to protect Lucy who has become a target for the mafia when her roommate Sydney leaves on business throwing Lucy into the devils den. Lucy strong and stubborn declines Jets help but the attraction and circumstances soon change her mind. With plenty of twists and turns which keep you guessing to what comes next, this is definitely a must buy and read book. It was good to catch up with Ryder and Ashton from Daddies Girls and the rest of the gang. I was given this as an ARC in exchange for a voluntary honest review.
Another interesting story from the Twisted Reaper series this is a bit of a follow on from Tyler and Sydney's book, Lucy her best friend has agreed to look after her dance studio while Sydney is away but unfortunately Sydney's problems become Lucy's and she is struggling badly both mentally and emotionally. Her old boss is a sleaze that was using her for sex and now the local mob boss expects her to become a stripper at his club but enter Jet a Reaper sent to watch over her and keep her safe. There is an immediate attraction there but Lucy is a sassy lady who doesn't give in easily. Lots of interesting things happen and these two are destined to be together. A thoroughly enjoyable read with lots to keep your interest and hot romance thrown in.
There is a lot suspense and action with a little bit of drama thrown in this story. Feels like I was always waiting for the other shoe to drop, waiting what Jet has up his sleeves.
Jet is cocky but he pulls through when he gives his word and I can’t help but admire him. I don’t know about Lucy, there are times I hated her character and there are times I admired her. She was weak at first, helpless but then Jet came along which sparks the beginning of change. He I’d her protector and her lover and with him, she found her courage.

Get ready for a rollercoaster ride, the heroine's life was on the cusp of going from bad to worse & then a hero in the shape of a hot as hell dangerous biker who kills the bad guys without compunction rides into town to save the day. Intense, gripping, but an underlying revelation that the hero had a heart, a feeling way beyond the protection of the feisty sexy girl he was sent to protect. He was as tough as nails but she brought him to his knees. A compelling off the charts sexy read. Highly recommended.

I'm torn with this book. The overall book was a quick read but the overall storylines seemed forced. The love connection between Jet and Lucy was to fast. I love insta love romances but this was a bit off. She was in love with another 1 week before they met. I liked Jet but was tired of the constant winking. I also didn't understand why Michael and his lackeys gave her and her friend grief other than he wanted to. The Angles seemed uncoordinated but got it get together in the end. I liked he connection between Atom and his past. Their short scene was intense and interesting.

Jet was sent by Lucy's very good friend to watch out for her. She is being threatened by Dominic her ex and Michael the town bully. Knowing she is running out of options Lucy reluctantly accepts Jet's help. This book was a rollercoaster ride, well written with interesting characters and an engaging storyline. Net and Lucy were perfect together and had sizzling chemistry. The story had drama, fear, danger, suspense, twists/turns and steam. A great ND romance that kept me turning the pages from beginning to the end. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Stella Andrews has delivered another gripping MC romance in the Twisted Reapers MC series. This book is action-packed, full of drama, humour, twists, and intrigue. It is well written and consistent with a well-developed plot. Strong characters - the chemistry between them is off the charts, powerful and intense! The suspense, uncertainties, and the feeling of danger make for a really exciting read. I have to say I was very pleased with how it all ended. Looking forward to the next book in this amazing series.

Bodyguard by Stella Andrews was really amazing and action packed. I finished the book in single sitting, it was interesting from the beginning. Lucy, the female lead is in trouble by the local mob and she recently suffered a break up from a unrespectful relationship. Jet is an ex-Navy SEAL and a biker in Grim Reapers MC from Rubicon, he comes in aid of Lucy by her friends Sydney's request. Instant attraction flies and back to back incidents make them to get close. The story moves very fast and thrilling. Overall the story was very good and I loved it.

Lucy is between a rock and a hard place She either goes back and works for the man who said her loved her and then returns to his wife even though he's said he was leaving her or work for an evil man, dancing in his club where the men took what they want. Then her friend sends a bodyguard to help. Jet and the MC club the Reapers work behind the scenes to take down the bad guys that the law can't. When he's sent on a bodyguard job he's fed up but when he meets the woman he's to protect he changes him mind. There are some great twists and turn you'll love in this book and even though the guy is rough he can be really sweet and she has a strength that she is not aware of. Just a great read.
Lucy lost her job and the man she thought was her future and if she cannot pay the rent on the dance studio and apartment, she’s got to sell her soul to the mob in town. Then Jet, her knight in leather rides into town on his steel horse and proclaims he has been sent to protect her and fight her battles. This story is fast paced with action, suspense, a cocky self assured sexy biker and a strong willed, caring female. Together Jet and Lucy make an explosive team. Bodyguard will keep you glued to the page.
I enjoyed this book. I thought it offered an entertaining blend of drama, danger, action, suspense, humor and steam. I liked both of the main characters, thought they had sizzling chemistry and was entertained by their banter. I felt for Lucy. She had big problems and needed help. Jet, was just what she needed and so much more. This is a really good romance that kept me fully engaged, on edge waiting for the other shoe to drop and rooting for this couple. I'm posting an honest, voluntary review.
Jet is sent on a Reaper mission to take down two thugs in Little Ridge. He is annoyed that he is 'babysitting' a woman who has got herself involved with both of them. However, as soon as he meets Lucy the chemistry ignites. Lucy rejects Jet's offer of help at first, but apart from her obvious attraction to him, she soon realises that she is in more trouble than she thought and that Jet is the only one who can help her. A great story with some interesting twists and turns along the way as well as just the right amount of hot and steamy bits too. Read an ARC for an honest review.
A really good fast paced, gripping story of the bodyguard ex navy seal Jet Ryder sent to babysit naive Lucy who will not conform to what the Santobello crime family want. A great believable storyline with lots of action, heat and of course, what we all want love and romance! Simply put I loved this read. But will Jet be able to protect Lucy from the crime family or is Jet the devil or her protector and aggressor? I voluntarily reviewed this book after receiving a free copy
What do you do when the local mobster is out to get you...you sit still and say your prayers. And when they are answered, and your Hero arrives big, rough and tough, then you put up a fight not knowing which side he's really on.
Stella Andrews takes us back to the Reapers, and if you enjoyed Daddy's Girls, then you'll love this one. It is suspensful and steamy, humorous and engrossing and makes you root for a beautiful HEA all the way through.

Lucy is trying to keep her dance studio operational, but finds herself in a situation she cannot seem to escape from. Jet is a member of an MC, and he is sent to protect her, which he will do by any means necessary. This is a well written story, which is an emotional roller coaster journey throughout, and I was hooked and intrigued throughout. I look forward to reading more from this talented author, and recommend her work for all. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
