In the this part of three women, whom had met while doing a bicycle for charity, is about the H after the run goes looking for her ex husband. She needed to tell him she was sorry. But as the past unfolds secrets become enlightened. She finds out just how much her father's interface in her marriage was. Will she and her ex husband be able to over come the bitterness of betryal?
Sweet with likeable characters, but not memorable and not much depth to it. The big conflict is whether or not he will forgive her for having used him when she married him, years ago. (She did. She admits it. She asks for forgiveness straight out.) There's no personality clashes or other believable challenges, just a "Is he mature enough to forgive?" aspect. All the growing-up and changing has occurred offstage, in the past. Unfortunately, the chemistry and friendship between the two had also occurred offstage, so we don't get to see that develop. Plus, the "oh no, a journalist has the journal in which we confessed all our deep dark secrets!" plot was very middle-school-ish.
seriously, i should have learned better NOT to buy harlequin books anymore. the stories are some times silly and i prefer to read full-length romance novels nowadays. but i was having hard time to keep up my reading mood, i need something that i can finish quick, even if it is NOT the best choice.
the story is flat, the chemistry between the male and female is flat, the ending is FLAT. the whole book is FLAT. urgh! at least i still have that reading mood ...
After a life-changing bike trip in the Himalayas, an heiress decides to make peace/restitution with her ex-husband, but ends up rekindling their relationship instead. It was OK.
