I’m the last of the original crew still working at the pub.
Bridget met a guy online and moved to Australia, James got fired, Ivy had a kid, Zara went to work for her dad in Miami, and now Lauren is leaving too.
I’m the only one left.
With no prospects and no opportunities.
Until out of the blue, I get one.
I had long given up my career as a real estate agent.
It was over before it even started.
But now, someone found one of my old business cards and they need help finding a house.
Not a house. A mansion.
And it’s not some random guy.
It’s hockey superstar, Austin Gambill.
I can’t screw this up.
I have to be professional.
Even if all I want to do is pull my only client into every walk-in closet we pass and find out if those lips are as soft as they look.
I have to be on my best behavior.
But my hot superstar client is making that damn near impossible.
Location, location, location.
On the floor, in the kitchen, in the pool.
He is certainly a motivated buyer.
Motivated to close on a house and close on me.
I’m going to find him his dream home.
But will his dream involve me?
Austin found his dream house, but he also found the perfect girl to make it into a home. Will the hockey rookie score or miss wildly?

I usually absolutely love this OTT, instant click between characters, but in this case, I just couldn't completely feel their chemistry and connection.
Their HEA was sweet, though, exactly how I expected from this author's books. Their journey was also cute, but I don't know, I wanted more build up, maybe? I know these are novellas, and everything is quite compressed and rushed, but I felt like something was missing. I couldn't feel that 💥 between these characters.
Still, this was a perfect example of love af first sight reading ☺️.
⚪️ Soooo, if you like sweet, quick reads, with some 🔥, without any drama, etc., then this one is for you!! 🤭
What to expect - instant everything - mid-20s characters - she's a bartender and wants to be a realtor, while he's the rookie for the local hockey team - double V cards, spicy for such a short read - HEA, 2 epilogues, as usual ☺️🤍 - no OP drama; actually, no drama at all, maybe except with the naughty parrot 😂😂
This being said, I will continue reading this author's work, especially her shifter series. Those are my personal favorites 🤭.
. .
"“So, you’re not just a realtor?” I ask. She shrugs. “Realtor by day, bartender by night.” And dream girl all the time." --- so corny 😂 but cute 🤭
"“Whoa,” I whisper when I see him walking to the stairs. He’s so sexy. It’s surreal. He can pull off any outfit. I bet he would look smoking hot in a Minion costume." --- what!? 😂😂😂 she's a funny one, this one 🤭😅

DUAL VIRGINS! And even better they both reveal to each other they are each others one and only!!(Booty shake! Happy dance!!) Safe No cheating No OW/OM No gross condom use No separation HEA (epilogue of 30 years later! I love decades later epilogues to show us just how in love they still are with each other.)
I LOVED EVERY BIT OF THIS SWEET, UPLIFTING, LOVE STORY!! I cannot get enough, it made me so happy and in a good mood, my head swooning in pink romance clouds! So this is a no angst, no drama, very sweet, very instalove story, of our lovebirds, Austin and Norah. Austin is a small town young man, hockey rookie in the big leagues in the big city. He is starstruck and not used to this new world of celebs and being one of them. He does party at first, and drinks expensive champagne that he doesn't like, there are beautiful women around them and he tried talking to them in the past briefly (I did not like that to be honest). He doesn't feel right about this whole party scene and is reminded that he needs to practice and be good at hockey, and the party scene is not for him. He leaves and goes to the rink to practice and sees Harris. Harris doesn't like him, not approving of him in the party scene and when they have their first chat on the ice, just the two of them, he listens to his idol who seems not to like him when they first met. Harris tells him that when he finds a woman, not a flavor of the week, the one woman for him, coming home to her will be the only thing that matters and everything else will fall into place. It's a good thing that our sweet Rookie believes in saving himself for love, but is defeated when he thinks about where to find her. He found a real estate card in the back of a taxi cab, and decides to call. Norah answers excited for selling a house to her first client and they meet. It is love at first sight, they talk but there are moments of silence of them just staring at each other. *sigh* I loved that moment. After they both snap out of their reverie, they start to tour of the house and their back and fourth is sweet, sassy, with plenty of humour, innuendos and laugh out loud moments. The house comes with a parrot! I loved the parrot, she tries to escape all the time. She cheers for her man when he is in a game and she is hilarious in her excitement! He is always happy smiling when he sees her and their love is so sweet and uplifting! What I loved is his body reacts for the first time physically to Norah, and our sweetheart is not used to that! Quote (this is when they first meet and tour the house), "She turns into the room and my eyes drop to her ass. I fight back a groan when I see her round cheeks swaying under those gray pants. I’ve never reacted to a girl like this before. This is a first for me. I’ve had beautiful girls throwing themselves at me for years all throughout high school and college, but I was too focused on hockey to do anything about it. Getting to the NHL was all that mattered to me. It was the only thing I focused on. It was the only thing I cared about. I think the girls treated it as a game—who could get me in their bed first —but I never gave any of them the satisfaction. I went to bed early, I got up early, and I trained. Over and over, I trained. Hockey was the only thing on my mind. Until now."
God, I love that so much! The erotica in this is scorching hot. These two love birds can't get enough of each other, and it is explosive because we believe in their love for each other. There is no drama, no messy misunderstandings, no angst, no stupid third act break up, no pushing away, none of that! It is all just sweetness upon sweetness with happy moments, smiles, laughter, hot sex of course and more sweetness! We need more of that in romance! Them being dual virgins is what does it for me ALWAYS! I love how he looks at her, how he knows she is the one, his ONLY one, and she, like him believes in giving her body to Mr.Right, and he is her Mr. Right.
Quote (they reveal to each other they are both each others first and only when they are about to have sex), “I was just waiting for the right guy,” she says as she rocks her hips, sliding her pussy along my cock. “I know now that I was waiting for you.” I kiss her long and hard. Her eyes are glassy when I finally pull away. “It’s my first time too,” I say. I wasn’t going to tell her, but she’s my girl and she deserves my full honesty. I don’t want to keep anything between us. “Are you teasing me?” she asks. “No,” I say fiercely. “I would never. You’re not the only one who was waiting for their soul mate.” Her hands tighten in my hair and she stares me in the eyes, trying to see if I’m lying. I meet her gaze until the look on her face softens. She leans up and kisses me with a newfound passion. “Thank you for waiting,” she whispers. “It’s going to make it that much more special.”
Swoon, so much swoon! That made my heart sing! We always have the virgin heroine, which I love, but we need them coupled with virgin heroes who believe in saving themselves for love, for one woman. We need more heroes like Austin! He is the only man to know her intimately and she is the only woman to know him in that same way, and that makes sex between our lovebirds special not to mention, incredibly erotic! I will reread this often along with book 2 also a sweet dual virgins romance. This is a gem. Here's an idea to jot down, I am going to reread "The Enforcer"and then reread "The Rookie" back to back! Sounds like a sweet, "Olivia T Turner One True Love (DV) Romance Reading Day" coupled with a nice cup of tea! Do yourself a favor and read this, it will brighten your day and your mood leaving you with a smile on your face and happiness in your heart. I am hoping and praying that Olivia T Turner gives us more safe, no OM/OW, no angst, feel good, uplifting, dual virgins (one true love) love stories with ooey gooey sweetness! Please Olivia, more stories like this one!! Pretty please with double cherries on top! *wink wink nudge nudge* Happy reading everyone!
Amo los libros de esta aurora por el 🌶️ y la ternura que desprenden sus protagonistas. Son de lo más protectores y Austin no iba a ser menos. Mención especial a la ruta por las casas de Norah, muy entretenidas.
Olivia does insta-everything well. A realtor by day and bartender by night gal meets a hockey rookie looking to set down roots. Cute, quick and smutty. Enjoyed it for what it was!
I'm not going to rate it, as I don't know how I feel about this. But I think that the prevalent feeling is disappointment that it didn't work for me. Other readers might enjoy this, though, more than I did.
Book info: - Novella - Insta-love - Sports romance - Dual V - HEA
Originally, I would wanna rate this a one star T.T but I've seen other reviews and all of them if not five stars then four. Also, It would be rude to leave one star to an author who clearly knows how to write.
Here is the problem; I am the problem
You see, Miss OTT was either a hit or miss for me. Clearly, this one was not for me because I visibly find both the leads very annoying, more than the Hero, the heroine, trying to be quirky and shii.
The super insta-lust/love(?) ugh.
For the past months, I've been really straying away with the insta-lust. Well, i do like the instant love, like, and lust if it was done right. Here.. it was poorly executed. No sparks and all (at least for me) visibly, I cringe with each scenes for unknown reasons. I should love this, this have dual virgins. but I am not convinced.
If you have read "the enforcer" Austin (H) has a cameo there. he was written like a loser and a playboy there, He asked the number or ig of the heroine there saying that she is gorg or sexy(?) kinda forgot but yea (at least that's what comes of out of it for me) and then in here, H says no one ever interest him(?)
Confusing.
Maybe it was just a matter of personal preference right? I am kinda toning down my reviews, trying not to be rude if i read something not up to my alley, well, starting now. 😄 But i don't wanna sugarcoat my reviews esp those books that has clearly have my biggest icks.
Dual V cards but that was the only thing that I liked about this one. For some reason I did not like the h a lot and the whole realtor thing was just odd? Idk it didn't fit into it as well as it should, and it seemed really really unrealistic and this is already unrealistic enough haha
Story: Rookie hockey player Austin (H) is determined to make his mark with the San Antonio Hyenas, especially alongside his hero, Harris, who initially dislikes him. Struggling under the weight of expectations and a glamorous but empty lifestyle, Austin's chooses to practice over partying, gaining valuable advice from Harris. Bartender Norah (h) aspires to be a realtor, finally catching a break when Austin, seeking a house, becomes her first real client. As they work together looking for his dream home, think wildlife in various forms, Austin quickly realizes he's found his dream girl in Norah who is nothing like the superficial women he's encountered since becoming a hockey pro. Hot and steamy hockey quickie romance with lots of laughs along the way – parrots, partying teens, hockey posters, mad bottle opening skills, and more – as Norah and Austin find the one they’ve been waiting for. Love seeing Harris and some of the other team members too.
Audio: The narrators did a really great job with taking this story from the written page to an entertaining audio version. The audiobook uses a male narrator and a female narrator – I always appreciate when an author goes for the additional costs of having two narrators in a duet style. Narrators Noel Harrison and Vivienne LaRue both do a great job with the tone and voice that they bring to Austin, Norah, and other characters. The audio quality is good and there were no issues.
Austin is the Rookie player for the San Antonio Hyenas and he has enough of the fake women(never had one 😉), the parties and the fake friendships. So he finally starts to settle down and for that you need a home base, so house hunting it is. He sees Norah's business card and contacts her. When Norah and Austin meet each other sparks fly instantly and they fall hard and fast for each other. Instalove, sweet, fun to read, steamy, romantic and totally safe( dual virgins- my kryptonite 🥰🥰) with an awesome HEA and absolutely no drama😍😍😍😍

Others in series so much better. Storyline is annoying and almost nothing. h is a loser, dingbat, annoying. Why H was ever attracted to her is beyond me.
My reviews always contain spoilers, I write them so I can remember the story.
Austin is the new rookie for the Hyenas hockey team, Norah is a bartender who is still trying to find her niche as a grown up. She’s tried her hand at real estate but hasn’t had any clients. Austin is not really living the parting and clubs it goes against his upbringing and roots. He’s looking for a girl who can be his forever but hadn’t found her yet and his idol, Harris who’s his teammate doesn’t like him much, which is throwing off his game. He decides enough of the fooling around, time to get his head in the game, he heads to the training facility and sees Harris there and they talk and things are looking up for their relationship. He also decides he needs to put down some roots and buy a house. He finds a realtor’s card in a cab, he takes that as a sign and calls the number. Norah is surprised by a call from a potential buyer and agrees to help the client find a house. She doesn’t handle the call very professionally, personally I would have not used her as an agent. They meet at the 1st house and of course they are smitten with each other. She doesn’t know who he is and unknowingly insults him, then changes her tune when she finds out who he is, they both laugh at that. A couple of more showings but Austin has decided on the 1st house because Norah liked it and he’s decided that she’s going to be his forever. Their 1st kiss is at the second house they see and later he visits her at work where after closing they have some sexy oral fun. Their first time together is at the last house they see, dual virgins. At the closing the sellers agent is impressed with Norah and offers her a job on his team, she able to quit her job at the bar and is excited for her new career. Not sure how a seasoned agent would be impressed by her selling one house, especially when the house is to her boyfriend? He doesn’t even know that she had sex with her client in one of the houses. Epilogues one month later with her moving into his house, the one she sold him, and thirty years later watching their youngest son play junior hockey. Their older two sons play professionally. I wish Norah had been written more competent, it’s ok that she didn’t have all the answers, but she should have been able to answer the call from Austin as a potential client with confidence. Their attraction felt more like lust than love, especially for Norah, didn’t buy that she loved Austin.

Austin is the rookie player for the San Antonio Hyenas hockey team. He is single and he is a virgin. He gets a chance to score the winning goal but he passes it to his hero Harris the Flamethrower and Harris scores the winning goal. After the game the players go out to a bar and Austin is uncomfortable. He ends up leaving and going back to the arena to practice, when Austin gets in a cab he finds a realtor card and he keeps it thinking he may need it. Harris tells Austin he needs to get a woman who is his soulmate to settle down and that will help with his hockey game. Norah got her real estate license and it never went anywhere. She has been working in a bar for five years. She is the last of the originals hired. Norah is a virgin who is waiting for the right man, she has seen too many hookups while working in the bar. Norah gets a phone call that changes her life. Austin calls Norah about finding a house. At the first house which is selling for four million dollars she finds that everything is beautiful until she opens the door of a room with a parrot in it. The parrot flys out of the room and she can’t get it back. When Norah answers the door for her client the parrot tries to fly out the door but Austin grabs it. Austin is starstruck by Norah he thinks she is the most beautiful woman he has ever seen. Norah is stunned looking at Austin she has never reacted to a man like this before. Norah shows Austin the house with the parrot and another house that day. Austin invites Norah to his game and she loves it. Austin comes in to the bar after the game to see Norah at work and they have some sexy time at the bar. The next day Norah shows Austin another house and they end up having sex in a couple rooms. Austin wants Norah to be his forever and Norah wants Austin too. Will Norah get her first house sell? Will Norah move in with Austin? Will Austin and Norah find love and happiness as soulmates? There is something so romantic about dual virgin stories. It is really sweet to read about two characters who discover their passion together, entwining their lives, and Olivia writes these stories so well. The San Antonio Hyenas series is one that I definitely recommend, the stories are just so well done. This is Austin and Norah’s story!
Austin is from a small town and is the rookie draft pick for the San Antonio Hyenas which carries a lot of pressure. He is feeling a little lost on finding his place within the team, balancing fame and all the temptations that come with the lifestyle of a professional athlete and living in a huge city. Austin got a bit carried away in the party scene with the other players at the beginning but is realized that the expensive drinks and fake women are not what he wants in his life and that everything is distracting him from being the best hockey player. Harris (another player and Austin’s idol) helps get him back on track and gives him some career and life advice that really helps him professionally and personally.
Norah works as a bartender by night and aspiring realtor by day. She is trying to break into her career but is having very little luck growing a client base. Austin finds her business card between the seats of a cab he is taking and decides that investing in a property and putting down roots might help the direction his life is going. He calls Norah and she agrees to meet him to show him some houses.
I found Norah to be quirky and really funny. The girl is adorable, has a passion for life, and is a bit clumsy but the antics these two get into are really amusing and I love how they just go with the flow and are happy to just be together no matter what crazy is happening around them. Norah is working hard to make her dreams come true! Austin is smitten when he meets her, and Norah is definitely feeling the attraction between them.

This is basically a sugar rush in (audio)book form, and I ate it up with a spoon. Today was one of those days where I needed positive vibes only, and this delivered: short, sweet, zero angst—basically 💯 cute energy from the moment they meet. This is #4 in a series but very easily works as a standalone.
It's not plot-heavy, but I felt I really got a sense of two endearing, slightly vulnerable people: Austin is a hockey rookie trying to find his footing in a new city, on a star team. And Norah is a bartender struggling to make a real estate career but feeling left behind by life.
Olivia T. Turner is great at instalove, but this one’s a little less OTT than some of her others. I think that slightly toned-down insta really worked here, though. They meet. They like each other. They fall in love. That’s it. No misunderstandings. No OP drama. No breakups. Just a safe, flirty, sometimes awkward, nicely spicy (dual v-card🍒!) romance.
🎧 I really enjoyed the dual narration (2:23 h:m) by Noel Harrison and Vivienne LaRue. - Noel has a great resonant voice and adds touch of bafflement here, like he can't believe his luck. - Vivienne's performance is relatable and warm, without getting saccharine.
TL;DR: This is the romance book equivalent of Sticky Toffee Pudding. If you’re not in the mood, it might seem too sweet. But if you've got a sweet tooth, it's pure happiness. I went in craving something feel-good, and left with a smile on my face—what more could I ask for?
Note: I don't often take on ARCs/ALCs, but when I do, it's because I'm near-certain I'll enjoy it. I recently got a free audiobook of The Rookie from Booksprout. Since I already like this series and author, it was an easy decision. As always, all opinions are 100% my own.
Austin Gambill is the rookie on the San Antonio Hyenas hockey squad, though he feels more like fraud. Despite being the first-round draft pick, he’s a little fish in a big pond packed with all-star players (we’ve met several of them in earlier books) and not living up to his hype. One of his teammates tells him his playing will improve if can find The One, but where is he going to meet a woman who cares more about him as a person than his wealth?
Norah Ellison has been working at a pub for the last 5 years. Her real estate career was over it before it even began and she’s watching her friends move on with soulmates and good jobs while she’s stuck serving drinks and cleaning up after drunks. Her luck changes when Austin finds an old business card of hers and calls her. Delighted to have her first client, she arranges a couple of showings.
When they finally meet, they are thunderstruck. Austin knows she’s The One. He was only looking for a house, but can he convince Norah to make it a home?
Olivia is one of the best instalove authors you’ll ever find. Her stories are sweet and steamy with a touch of humor (that parrot!). Even the grumpiest men are cinnamon rolls for their women. Austin couldn’t be less grumpy and his center is naturally ooey gooey with love. I like that he and Norah both trust their instincts about each other. It’s also fun to see the Hyenas we’ve already met and get to know some of the others who will hopefully have their own books!
If you love instalove, your library is not complete without this book.
I received a free copy of this book and have chosen to share my opinion.
I can never get enough of OTTs books, abd this series is definately a winner. The characters are truly relatable and likeable on a personal level. The Rookie storyline is absolutely absorbing, drawing you in from the very first page, abd holding you captive til through the last sentence. Austin, The Rookie, is struggling to live up to his spot on the Hyenas with the awesome line-up. Sutton, his idol, is there and it's intimidating. Sutton does give him a good piece of advice though. (You have to read to see what abd if Austin takes it.)
Norah is a struggling barmaid who wants to be a real estate agent. In a twist of fate, Austin finds her card. This starts the real meat of the story. What will the house hunt entail? These two are a total trip together during this process, and the parrot is an absolute hoot! Join the fun today.
I received a gift copy of this book and volunteered my review. I know you'll enjoy this as much as I did. Give it a try. Happy Reading Y'all 📚
Man, they just keep getting better. That's saying something because all of Olivia's books rock. I adored Austin. He was a small town guy that missed the simple things from back home. He has a lot of pressure on him as first draft rookie. I loved how Harris gave him advice and then he meets Norah. They had a definite meet-cute. It was so funny. Their chemistry and attraction was freaking electric. They were so perfect together. Plenty of laughs and steam in this one. Norah was quite funny. She was also really sweet. I'd say one of my favorite heroines of all time. I love how far in the future Olivia goes with her couples. I love seeing where they are now, kids grown and still madly in love. This series has seriously been incredible. I have really loved each story and couple. Can't wait to see who is next.

The Rookie is the next story in the hockey romance series San Antonio Hyenas by Olivia T. Turner. As the title states, it follows rookie hockey athlete Austin Gambill & bartender & aspiring real estate agent Norah Ellison. Austin is feeling the pressure of being a great hockey player, Norah is feeling the pressure that life is passing her by. Austin finds an old business card of Norah's in the back of a taxi & takes a chance on calling her for a home to buy. Austin is literally Norah's first client & first phone call. There is a lot more laughs & banter in this story. Of course the §ėx is pürė §müṭṭƴ gọọdnėss. 😏
Two events with Austin & Norah that will live rent free in my mind... the meet-cute between Austin & Norah... and the parrot 😉 AND the §ėx in the showing of the 3rd house. 🥵🔥💋
The Rookie, the fourth book in Olivia T. Turner's wonderful The San Antonio Hyenas series is a fabulously steamy and sweet instalove romance. Austin Gambill, the young rookie on San Antonio's NHL team, decides to buckle down and set down some roots by buying a house. The moment he lays eyes on his realtor, Norah, he knows he has met his future. Norah's been restless, bartending at night when what she really wants is to be a real estate agent. But when she gets a call out of the blue from someone who found her realtor card in a taxi cab, she feels hopeful - especially when he says his budget is in the millions. The moment she meets her client, she realizes everything really is all about to change. An entertaining, high-heat, low-drama instalove romance well worth a read.

Words that haunt Austin as he finally realises what is important and the mistakes he is beginning to make. You can feel the pressure he is under as the Rookie, fortunately he comes to his senses before too much damage is done. The moment he does he is rewarded by meeting his dream girl, Norah, they are fun, flirty, dirty and naughty in the best places. But as sweet as they are, they are not my favourite couple of the series, I do like them, just don't love them. I do however love this series and I really hope there are more books to come, especially for Edvard! I love that each player still has his own distinct personality, history and demons, the series are not all similar characters, similar stories and dirty sex, each one actually has a backstory and a journey. I read this on Kindle Unlimited.

Austin plays ice hockey in San Antino and as the rookie on the team feels that he is uncertain even though he was the number one pick of the draft. There are several top players to learn from. Norah works at a bar while having earned her real estate license; it is hard to break into the field. Plus, she has put business cards into taxis to drum up business.
Austin has a contract and decides to buy a house and when he finds the business card with Norah's name and number. When he sees her the 1st time when she has arranged for a mansion viewing, he is certain that she was the one for him. Does she have the same thoughts for him? What are the actions of each of them?.

This is book number 4 of The San Antonio Hyenas series and focuses on Austin and Norah. Austin is a rookie with the Hyenas who is feeling the pressure of what is expected of him. After some valuable advice from his idol and teammate, he decides to call a realtor and has his life flipped upside down in the best way possible when he meets the realtor, Norah. As soon as he sets his sights on her, he knows that he found his other half. It doesn’t take them long to realize what they are to each other and for them to go after the life that they want together. This was a great story and a great addition to the series.

The Rookie is book 4 in the San Antonio Hyenas Series by Olivia T.Turner.
Austin was the top pick this hockey season and is feeling all of the pressure that comes along with it. His idol and teammate Harris Sutton (book 3) gives him some advice to help him improve his game and his quality of life.
Norah is a bartender and struggling realtor. When she receives a call to show from someone looking for an upscale property, she's surprised, to say the least. Then, when she meets him, she is more shocked by her reaction to him. She has no idea he is the Rookie of the city's hockey team or how her life is about to change.
Like all of Turner's books, this is an OTT instalove that is well written, fun, and has great characters. The characters have lots of chemistry and a bit of spice as well.

I loved The Rookie Book 4 of The San Antonio Hyenas. Austin is the new kid in the Hyenas and still trying to prove himself. He needs a house and fate sends him Norah. He got some good advice from a teammate, find the right woman and everything else doesn’t matter. Now he found her and he can start their future together. Norah can’t believe fate brought her Austin, not on,h does he buy the house but he steals her heart. I loved the storyline and the characters, a sweet and quick read with some steamy parts. I would definitely recommend this book and the series.

This was a sweet swoon worthy romance. Austin is the rookie player for the Hyenas hockey team. He has gotten caught up in the stress of the crowd when his father reminds him to remember where he came from. Norah is a bar tender who got her real estate license. She doesn’t see her career going far when she gets a call from Austin. These two got more than they bargained for. Austin is so sweet and down to earth. These two have the best chemistry and the banter is so fun with these two. Fun sweet short read.
