A nice collection of photos of vintage aircraft and statistics about each aircraft. Some of the photo captions mention people or events without explaining or elaborating on who or what they were, so I would recommend this book for well read WWII buffs.
Beautiful pictures of some of the classic WW II airplanes that are still flying. The key is "still", lots of airplanes not mentioned but I guess they are no longer flying. I am not much of an airplane aficionado, but it they were good pictures. Some technical detail supplied.
Big color pictures dominate the 12x12 large book. 23 of the most well-known planes of WWII: Avenger, Corsair, Fw190, Hellcat, B-24, Bf109, Lancaster, Hurricane, Mosquito, Mustang, Spitfire, P-40 and more. Technical specs and side-profile view for all planes additionally.
