I slept with a mafia monster, now I’m carrying his child. A one night stand with an older man, was supposed to be just that – one night. Instead, I realize too late I gave my innocence to a criminal and now I’m pregnant. I hate everything about Dominik, a Russian Bratva King, and now I’m forced to marry him. He’s ruthless, dangerous, merciless, and the type of man I dream to serve justice one day.
I didn’t know his identity when I let him into my bed. The moment I discovered he was a criminal I despised him. Now he’s learned about the repercussions of that night, and is forcing me into marriage. How can I marry a man I hate?
I’m kidnapped by his enemies, endangering my life and our unborn child. Dominik rescues me, only to keep me jailed in his mansion. He’s the type of man that murdered my brother. I want to hate him, but I’m defenseless against his touch.
I don’t want to fall for him and yet his obsession with me is flattering. Can I escape his ruthless world, or will I succumb to his touch?
The Sharov Bratva rule New York with an iron fist. These mobsters ooze sex appeal and danger, claiming what they want, when they want it. If that happens to be you… prepare yourself to be claimed, pleasured and captivated by alpha males that don’t take no for an answer.
Maree Fox enjoys nothing more than bringing complex characters to life, heroes and heroines who are faced with unthinkable challenges on the road to love. While they might be ruthless, dominating, and even cruel at times, all her characters are driven by the desire for profound love.
Born and raised in Chicago, Maree has always been fascinated by the myths and mysteries surrounding the revered mafia. After indulging herself as a reader for many years, she finally pursued her dreams to share her own stories. She sets her imagination free to explore the dark and dangerous underground, where ruthless men rule and claim what they want.
She shares an uncomplicated life (unlike her characters) with her life partner, whose love is as profound as his talent for cooking. When she’s not savoring his latest creation or losing herself in a story, Maree enjoys taking her two dogs, Sonny and Cher, to explore hiking trails while dreaming up her next plot.
This is my first time reading a book by this author. I liked the premise of the storyline (though I’m sick of pregnancy stories - which is part of why this is 3.5), but it felt choppy in places.
The authors writing style either wasn’t fully developed (yet?) or perhaps it was written by someone who didn’t have a good editor before publishing (to make sure their was flow and correct paragraph structure).
Action ⭐️⭐️⭐️1/5 Believable storyline & overall plot ⭐️⭐️ Entertainment 🌟🌟🌟🌟 Spicy 🌶️ 🌶️ Triggers 🚩 🚩(kidnapping, forced proximity, gun violence, murder, threat of rape, physical assault) Writing style & written format ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Overall a solid 3.5/5
Note the lower the 🚩 the better, meaning not many triggers & defines it as a romantic read not dark romance.🥰

This story would have been better if we didn’t automatically go with “Oh no! I’m pregnant even though I’m on birth control & took P B.” You can create angst and drama without an “unplanned” or in this case highly UNLIKELY pregnancy scenario.
Additionally, I also feel like the brother’s information should have been at the beginning and tied back in later when she told him about her brother. It would’ve given a necessary explanation of her behavioral actions since the beginning. We didn’t need the information about his death, just that she WAS a twin and that he died of gun (gang)violence/cold blooded murder.
🌶️ : 2/5 Being owned has never looked more possessive.
Hmmm i'm soo confused .. I did enjoy reading this book. It's a quick and easy read. But in some scenes especially the spicy ones there are some moments where i was lost and confused on where things go and what was happening 🤣🤣 I don't really mind a few missing words and repeated words and all it's still enjoyable!
I have a love hate relationship with Dominik 🤣 he's likable, like he got the potential to be the possesive alpha male alright with the growly and possesive and the whole "You're mine." and "I protect what's mine" and all but at some point i feel like he's dismissing the FMC in some ways. I know there are some people who like a little bully romance and all that but i guess it was just not for me. But like all character development he came through for the FMC especially after knowing her history and her brother history. And booy did he come through as a father 🥲🥲
Over all it's a good read! Quick and Fun! the spice was there, very enjoyable! and plot was good! If you want to read some pregnancy mafia romance definitely give this one a read!!
Maya stone and Dominic sharov maya stone was a College student studying criminal law who meet Dominic Sharov at a club that Dominic had owned and they ended up spending the night together where Maya eventually became pregnant and found out Dominic was the father who eventually said was going to be there throughout everything and even got married one monthly Maya one day went into Dominic's library and found a file of her brother's murder and asked Dominic about it and and he showed her the video of Michael's murder which made Maya panic and confused and Shock which LED her into early labor where she gave birth 22 twins Mikhail and Anna and 4 years later the epilage where they lived happily ever after and still showed how much Dominic loved Maya.
my favorite part was chapter 20 and much more but my favorite lines were There was nothing as fulfilling as family. Of course, the usual temptations always came after business meetings, in the form of sexy ladies in lingerie and, sometimes, exposed breasts and the like. However, I had a wife whose body was superior to every other lady. I would rather bask in her warmth than in that of any other.

I usually don't read one night stands books. But I gave this one a try since this book is in a series. I also don't like to read or read short books. I am so disappointed in this book. I feel like there was a lot of information missing in it. There was a lack of information about the characters getting to know each other, date, and communicate more with each other. I felt like, how did we get to this chapter and what happened in between the time they moved in with each other. Things just happened suddenly without much explanation. I didn't feel the love and chemistry between Dominik and Maya. There was not much explanation about their relationship. Saying they loved each other was awkward to me. Sex alone in a book does not make a romance novel. I also hate Maya's best friend. Ugh, this book had so much potential if it was longer and more developed. This is author is new to me and this is is the first book I read from her. I really liked the epilogue.
I must have read a different, later, cleaned-up version than some of the others that reviewed the book because I didn't see all the errors in continuity (red/black dress etc) they mentioned and didn't notice a whole lot of misspellings.
I enjoyed the book, as a whole, but would have liked to see more emotional depth from the MMC toward the FMC. It seemed like it was on the line of being a shade of grey romance. Not quite dark, but not quite regluar either. I'd have also liked to see more about them as a couple other than them just having sex. Maybe some interaction with friends or family or even her pregnancy which was mentioned about halfway into the book.
On the whole though, it was good enough to reccommend. I'd give it 3.5⭐ if I could give halvesies. I'm eager to read the rest of the series and hope her bff gets herself a bratva guy too.
Shorter side of a bratva story. FMC wants to give away that Vcard and sets her eyes on a handsome man. The MMC and her have a fun night and she sneaks out before hand with no number even after he said "you're mine"
Time passes and the fmc finds out that her hot one night stand was a bratva man who was 17 years older than her. 😂 the two happen to run into each other again and once again out MMC makes his claim.
YES we have a pregnancy where the MMC says she will come to accept her new role and he will watch her because "he doesn't let his property run around like feral cats".
There are for sure some issues (like grammar / missing words) so at times I had to double check but I still think it was a fun time.

I wonder if this is a new author or just very very poor editing. It’s littered with grammatical errors, typos, incorrect facts and inconsistencies.
For example the author spends paragraphs telling us about the red dress she’s wearing and when she gets in the car, the author talks about the black dress she’s wearing, then it’s red again when she’s in the club.
The monologues go on for so long and the longer they last, the more confusing they seem to become.
The sex scenes are confusing. It’s as if the author has it all in their head and just pours it all out without any construct.
I’m afraid I won’t be reading the rest of the series at this stage. Let’s hope the editing improves.
There’s no romance, he lets her get kidnapped (while she’s pregnant) for fun (his words), he claims he “doesn’t owe her anything” 85% into the book after she finds out she covered up her brother’s murder, which of course he is entirely unapologetic for. He then calls her childish for being upset about the part he played. After reading this book I truly think the MMC hates the FMC. There is no love between them and his internal dialogue is borderline cruel. Not a fan.
Changes everything for Maya, law student, and for Dominik, Bratva leader. Get ready for passion, possession, intimidation, violence, rivalry and secrets revealed. There are some editing errors that should be corrected to improve the flow of the story. Here's an example: "I, of course, will marrying you." And, "It was something worthy of note." This is a quick read, only 179 pages.
Good book. I love mafia books. The dirtier the better. FMC is a nice, quiet college student looking to lose her virginity. MMC is the head of the mafia. When he notices FMC at a club sitting alone he approaches her. He's extremely attracted to her even though he's much older than her. They go a hotel where she finally loses her virginity. The chemistry between them is sizzling hot. Secrets are uncovered. Surprises are in store for them both.
Maya a strong resilient woman wanted to lose her virginity. She’s at a club with a friend checking out all the people who were there. Dominik was in the club with friends when he spotted maya at the bar then returning to her table. He sent a drink over to her and neither could take their eyes over each other Excellent book The characters were great. This is a must read book.
Well this book was great. I enjoyed it, the chemistry the author brought to the pages with Maya and Dominik was beautifully written. Story kept you reading and wanting more. Great read.
Nothing I didn’t like to be honest 2nd time reading even the part where she was kidnapped but he knew? That threw me a bit as too why he would allow it showing how obsessive with her he was but again I really enjoyed it thanks
I love these stories they are my go to comfort series these men though are very morally grey would do anything for these women in there own way the shrove brava series had me giggling and kicking my feet a great way to get out of a reading slump
Dominik and Maya. I enjoyed reading the first book in the Sharov Bratva series. I loved the characters, plot and storyline. It has it all. Drama, danger, sex, lust, love and so much more.
Finding the one that takes your breathe away!! Only to discover he is head of the Russian mafia. She found the love she was always looking for and so did he!!
