Video Sessions:
Session 1: Introduction (18:37)—In the Session 1 video, Courtney and Hunter set the foundation for the study on Titus. They define discipleship, discuss the method of study, talk about the importance of context, and introduce the memory passage. They also remind us that we stand in the stream of gospel proclamation and must pass on the baton of faith.
Session 2: Entrusting the Gospel (21:39)—Hunter and Courtney dig into the first four verses of Titus in this Session 2 video teaching. They will point out how these verses foreshadow and give us an overview of the whole message of this letter. They will also walk us through the memory passage a little more closely.
Session 3: Holding to the Gospel (28:17)—The video teaching for Session 3 focuses on Titus 1:5-9. Courtney and Hunter discuss the importance of being part of the local church and how vital it is for the local church to have godly leadership. They dig into the list of characteristics church leaders are to embody and how we also are to model Christ-like character. The session closes with ideas on how we can love and support our leaders in the local church.
Session 4: Guarding the Gospel (26:04)—In the Session 4 teaching, Hunter and Courtney discuss the false teaching and false teachers Paul warned Titus about in 1:10-16. They emphasize that to combat false teaching, we have to know and love the real thing, the truth of the gospel. They also explain what it means to take a tiered approach to theology and how that kind of approach helps us know and understand what is most important for us to believe and agree on, and discern what is not truth.
Session 5: Adorning the Gospel (27:21)—In this session, Courtney and Hunter dive deeper into the purpose and benefits of discipleship relationships as they unpack Titus 2:1-10. They discuss the true nature of discipleship and both share personal experiences of how discipleship relationships have enriched their lives and helped them grow in faith. They close with a challenge to embrace and engage in these kinds of relationships.
Session 6: Believing the Gospel (21:18)—Grace is the focus in the Session 6 teaching as Hunter and Courtney discuss Titus 2:11-15. They talk about the meaning of grace and how the grace of the Lord has impacted their lives. They explain that grace has not only saved us, but grace instructs us to walk in godliness as we wait well for the hope of Christ’s coming.
Session 7: Insisting on the Gospel (24:23)—Courtney and Hunter discuss Titus 3:1-8 in this video teaching. This is the section of the letter that contains the memory verse passage. They center their conversation on those specific verses (vv. 3-7) that beautifully explain the gospel message, then challenge us to insist on the gospel and understand our need for it in every area and moment of our lives.
Session 8: Living the Gospel (23:56)—In the Session 8 video teaching, Hunter and Courtney discuss Titus 3:9-15, the final words in the letter. They note how Paul’s last words to Titus deal with life in the local church—focusing on what matters, correcting those who are disruptive, and doing fruitful ministry together. They issue a final challenge for us to live on mission, all of us doing our part to accomplish the purpose of God.

July 9, 2025I love the richness and simplicity of this study. Courtney and Hunter walk you through the book of Titus using the inductive method—observation, interpretation, and application. Each week is divided into five study days, with each day taking about 20 minutes. The accompanying videos are also around 20 minutes long. As a mom, I appreciate how accessible it is to do first thing in the morning!

•Definitions: Key terms are defined in the margins throughout the study, making it approachable for women at any stage in their walk with Christ.
•Memory Work: The study focuses on memorizing Titus 3:3–7. Each week, you’ll work on one verse from that passage.

This was a rich study on a short but powerful letter.
The 5 days each week were laid out with observation, interpretation and application. It prompted great discussions and some accountability steps within our group. A very practical and palatable study that was full of God’s word.
There was also memory work which was great, I always could use more scripture memorization and this made it doable.
“The letter to Titus began and ended with grace. In between we’ve seen the need to pursue godliness and good works—but those are always nestled deeply in the grace of God. We only desire godliness and good works because of God’s grace and we can only pursue them by God’s grace.”

I really enjoyed digging deep into this short book that I’ve never paid much attention to. It led to some good discussions with my Bible study and challenged me to consider the fruit in my life and where I draw my strength from.

This study took me by surprise, and I'm really thankful our women's ministry chose it for the Bible study group.
I don't know about you, but some books of the Bible are more exciting to read than others. I have my favorites...and the ones I don't automatically think of when looking for my next read. Titus is admittedly not one of the books I've spent a ton of time in. And I didn't exactly leap for joy when my group announced this as our next study (pretty as the cover is).
Nothing against Titus! It's just not one of my favorites, one that I love to dig deeper into and reread again and again. I also wondered what on earth we would spend 8 weeks on for such a short book. But praise the Lord He knows what we need more than we do!
I truly believe the whole Word of God is good and profitable and so I took this as a challenge - and a hope - to come out of this study with a deeper appreciate for a book I didn't know as much about. By God's grace, I definitely came out of this study with a new perspective on Titus. Isn't it amazing how taking the time to dig into Scripture can change our hearts?
I'd never heard of either Courtney Doctor or Hunter Beless, but the two teachers had such a sweet, straightforward, and simple spirit that drew me in. What I loved about this study was how it focused on the simple, but profoundly true depth of the gospel. Titus brims with such encouragement and grace - both of which I have desperately needed in this season.
The study is well organized and easy to follow, though there were a handful of places I wished there was more space to answer the questions in. The teaching sessions are conversational, approachable, and all under half an hour in length. The homework between sessions was easy to keep up with, but uplifting and consistent in pointing back to Scripture. I enjoyed the layout that focused on a. What the text says b. What the text means c. What other Scripture says about this and d. How it applies in our lives.
The study discusses discipleship, the importance of being rooted in sound doctrine (for individuals, the local church, and the church as a whole), and the characteristics of living a godly life that displays the gospel of grace. A few unique pieces in this study that I haven't encountered before: a. the songs at the end of each week that led to worship and b. the challenge to memorize a passage of Titus.
As a musician, I love to worship through music. I delight in studying God's Word to know Him more and grow closer to Him. But I've not seen a study utilize worship before, and I found it a wonderful bridge between study and worship outside of the study. Our leader compiled each of the suggested tracks into a Spotify playlist, which was perfect!
Memorizing Scripture has never been my favorite discipline, and one I've sought to work more on in recent years. I participated in Awana as a kid and memorized bits of Scripture through that, but I've done very little since then, as an adult. The challenge to memorize Titus 3:3-7 can easily feel daunting as a longer passage, but the study breaks that up expertly from week to week to make it super approachable. And I found great comfort in the passage itself as we dove into it a little more each week.
This was a lighthearted, grace-focused, simple, but profound study. I've come away with a renewed encouragement to reflect the characters of a godly woman. I'm thankful to come away from this study with a full heart and new eyes for the little, but meaningful book of Titus. Would recommend!

“Mirror, mirror in the Word, does my image align with Yours?” Godliness is looking, living, and loving more like God. It’s being passionate to do what is beautiful in His eyes. Our love for one another is our greatest witness for our love for Him. Godly living is the ornaments that adorn the Christmas tree of godly teaching. Bible study leads me to greater godliness by feasting my mind and soul with a fuller knowledge of my Heavenly Father while fellowshipping at the table with my spiritual sisters.
Christianity is the only neocapitalist religion: the good news of the gospel is that Jesus did everything required to earn our salvation for us, and the only thing we must do is receive it. Jesus, kindness, salvation, saved Savior, hope, righteousness, mercy, and eternal life. These are the words that summarize the gospel of grace. But Scripture is not a spiritual smorgasbord where we can pick what we like and pass on what we don't. Discipleship is brain surgery: the joy of changed minds through the “doctor” of doctrine. No matter how lost the cause, Christ's gasp-worthy grace and swoon-worthy salvation is the conquering compass. If I had a sign to summarize my study of Titus, I would read: “From fatally flawed to faultless heiress, all because of an overflowing hope of eternal life.”

I really enjoyed diving into this study with the women in my church. The layout and depth of the content were excellent, and I appreciated the weekly videos and the thoughtful balance between reflection and study. It was also very manageable during a busy season of my life. Discussing it with the spiritually mature ladies from my church added so much more depth. I feel I gained far more from the study because of those conversations.

Excellent Bible study! I didn't know as much about Titus as I expected but there's such richness in the gospel of grace, role of local church, discipleship and individual conviction and action. I also really like the length of each day with the build towards application. We had rich discussions and there was lots of room for more if you wanted to dive in.

This is definitely one of my favorite studies I’ve done. I love Courtney and Hunter’s “display of the Gospel of Grace”. They taught clearly and emphasized so beautifully the importance of right belief which is then followed by good works—our fitting response to what Christ did for us.

Study I did with my ladies Bible study group at church. I had not studied Titus in depth before, so this was a good one for me. It had mixed reactions from our group, mostly because of the format of the Lifeway book and videos.

a good deep dive into one of the smallest books in the Bible.
I loved the way they had you read and memorize and analyze the different verses and connect them through out the Bible.
