DNF. The writing is terrible, and the plot doesn’t make sense.

You know as soon as you start reading a book whether it’s going to be good or not. This doesn’t start very well but i persevered and I got well over halfway and I hate it. I don’t like Blue (WHAT IS HER REAL NAME?) and I didn’t like Raptor either. Blue lives with dad as it implies her mother is dead but then later on her mother is on a cruise…..erm okay. Blue is engaged to be married in three months time, and I don’t get why. Her dad wasn’t forcing her to at the beginning, he does later, and she never says she doesn’t want to marry him. She never says anything she wants! She’s never had a burger as their dad keeps her and her sister on a strict diet. She often tries to order one but he won’t let her and she just sits there and sulks but doesn’t say anything. Her sister picks her wedding dress and she hates it, but again she doesn’t say anything.

Then there’s Raptor. When he first sees Blue he’s instantly smitten but when he finds out she’s a virgin, he runs off and tells her it’s for own good. Raptor is supposed to have long BLACK HAIR, not blonde as it is on the cover. He’s terrified that she’ll get feelings for him and he just wants s*x. Great! He’s a d*ck!

The club is supposedly at war with a drugs cartel and they killed several members but it never says why, or how. The club doesn’t have any security, no gate, no patrols, yet they’re at war? All the men ever do is have loads of s*x with the club sl*ts and I mean all the time. Every time Raptor goes in the club it’s the same frigging scene night after night! They’re all really drunk, naked and rolling round with the women. 🤮

Hated it, hated them and the writing was terrible. What a shame as it sounded really good.

New to author & to be honest it took me a bit to get engaged in this book. But once the action happened I could not put it down. Great read with love, action, crime, MC saving humans being trafficked or abused with a HEA. So glad I kept reading & highly recommend. (Reviewed by Lin)

Great story!!

This is the first book in a new series and this is Viper and Blue's story.
This is a well written story which is action packed, with family dynamics, friendships, emotions, intrigue, danger, suspense, manipulation, challenges, humour, heartbreak, angst, drama, revenge, revelations, and love which all leads to an entertaining, unpredictable, and thrilling addictive page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

Vapor has a meeting with Broussard who is a key money man. He plans to use him to launder money which will get him close to taking down the MC that attacked his clubhouse and killed some of his men. He is sidetracked by the most beautiful woman he's ever seen with the most incredible voice he's ever heard. Then he finds out she is engaged to Broussard. When he prepares to leave she slips something into his hand. He decides to wait till he gets back to his clubhouse to read it. He is also the president of the Underground Vengeance MC.
Blue is at dinner with her fiance and her father and sister and her sister's husband. She doesn't want to marry Broussard. If he even got an inkling of what she slipped to Vapor he would kill without a qualm. She only hopes he understands what she told him.
When he reads the message he gets five other of his men and they head to the swamp where they rescue kidnapped women. Now he needs to see her the charity ball. He meets up with her and learns a lot. She has information that he needs. When he finds out about her forced marriage he promises to get her out before the wedding.
Now he and his men need to get as much information on the cartel and Broussard and her father's business. They are going to take them down.
Will they succeed? Will he be able to save Blue?
An exciting and fast paced story that will leave chills.

What I liked- I love that the MC helps people whom law enforcement can’t help. They really seem like good guys. Vapor and Blue are very likable people, and even though Blue lives the hothouse flower life of the extraordinarily rich, she is down to earth and easy to relate to. Plus I like the name Blue. And I couldn’t believe Blue had never tried junk food. That’s a crime and it’s only right that the club does its duty as Americans and rectifies this travesty.

What made me scratch my head- Blue is a nightclub singer? Why? The only purpose to it seems to be so that Vapor can drool over her.
What I didn’t like- Vapor didn’t share the beignets and I want one so badly right now.

Really good but for a few things

Overall, the story was good and I really liked the characters. I have a few complaints that if addressed would make this a five star book because it really was like 3.5 stars, but I rounded up.

First off there are a few chapters where the point of view listed is wrong. Secondly, this is such a silly thing, but it really bothered me. When they traveled to the island where they were all alone and decided to go camping, no woman in her right mind would bring a bikini and a sarong to an uninhabited island. Those are things you take with you on a cruise not camping in the middle of nowhere. Additionally, she had no clothes with her because she ran away from home so I really doubt they ran out to buy a bikini and a cover-up.

Lastly, my other biggest complaint is kind of a big plot hole. It says that the father knew she was hanging out with Vapor in the motorcycle club, but yet it never made it clear how he knew. And that needed to be answered. Otherwise, it was a really pretty decent book. I don’t regret reading it at all. I think it was a little silly that they kept starting and stopping their intimate times. I wasn’t a huge fan of that. My only other complaint is that the whole Jolene thing should have been obvious to vapor that it was gonna become more of an issue and I just feel like authors make these MC men really shortsighted and I don’t think they always are

so I was riding with the first half of this book and the second half of the book was just kind of like okay we understand Move Along. so blue is nicknamed Blue because she gives guys blue balls I guess I'm not sure what her real name is if we ever find that out. but she is described as a sultry singer like Jessica Rabbit. the MMC goes to a club where she is singing to meet with her fiance about laundering money. she is in a marriage arrangement brought about by her father and her mother is off traveling the world or whatever and she has a sister who married a guy named Victor who is the head of the cartel in an arranged marriage but they like don't even like each other I guess I don't know it's kind of weird but her sister is all about the money but they also throw in that she did have a love before then so I don't know that might be a potential storyline I guess. but there's parts of the story that just don't make a lot of sense or like there's one part where the MMC is all like I don't think she's going to like the MC lifestyle because she's so pure and all of the crap and I'm like yeah you know she's like part of the fucking Mafia like what do you mean. I don't know once I got about halfway through I kept wanting to put the story down so I decided to dnf after blue and one of the club girls fights.

In order to ensure that end, they are looking to launder money thru the same individual, Justin Broussard, they use. Vapor does not expect when he steps into the Bourbon Street Blues Club that his life is about to change. When Blue takes the stage, he is entranced, he barely can form a sentence, she is beautiful. She is Justin's fiancé, she does not look happy, and passes him a note.

Blue does not want to marry Justin Broussard, her father is making her, she will find a way out of this one way of the other. The large biker makes her feel things no man ever has. He has to be the one that can save those children. If she is caught passing him a note, she will be in trouble.

Will Vapor be able to save her from her upcoming nuptials? Characters from the Montana chapter make their appearance.

Vapor and Blue are so good together: she’s his muse and he’s her rock. They fulfill deeply seated needs and desires that are intensely emotional. I love the care and nurturing he shows as he sees beyond her surface: it’s very revealing about his nature. He gives her the space to spread her wings and discover a whole new world where she makes her own decisions. It’s a slow burn, but very spicy while building the trust and confidence in their connection.

Liv Brywood develops characters who are realistic and interesting, the emotions she brings out are incredibly powerful, and the setting for this new series is awesome! There’s action, danger, and suspense for the UVMC of NOLA as they fight against the villains and protect each other and the vulnerable. This is a great start and I really enjoyed the interactions between the new series and the previous series.

This is a novel length MC romance. Her father has arranged a marriage for her to a much older shady business associate, she meets Vapor the Prez of a local MC and the attraction is instant. They are drawn together as she overhears some trafficking info and knowing the MC is working to shut that down, she contacts Vapor. When things get rough she knows he will protect her. This is well written with good character development. You get get some of the MC life at the club but not too many other characters are detailed. Vapor and Blue had a strong attraction and their spicy scenes were sweet instead of steamy. It was a good MC story that wasn’t too gritty. There were a few misspells, one chapter that mislabeled from his perspective instead of hers and the cover was disappointing as he is described as having dark black hair yet the cover was not that. Otherwise a pretty good read.

This is the first book in this new series of the MC NOLA chapter. if you read the previous series, you know how dedicated the members and prospects are. They promise to protect and serve those who are unable to do so themselves.

I absolutely love all the characters, and Vapor is a born leader. Their story leads us to Blue, a female who, through no fault of her own, becomes tangled, trapped, and at the mercy of her family.

This is book 1 of Underground Vengeance MC Romance, NOLA Chapter, and surprisingly one of the few books I've read by Liv Brywood....I need to read more by her. When Vapor sees Blue performing in a blues club he is smitten, but even more so when it is apparent that she has no interest in her "fiancé". He will do anything to protect her when she comes to him for help. The book has a well-paced storyline, great characters, sizzle, steam, action, drama, and more. It's a solid read and I can't wait to read more.

This is an interesting take on an MC. Vapor is trying to avenge his sister's death and Blue is caught in a web of her father's ambitions and being forced to marry Broussard. When Vapor meets up with Broussard to make a deal, he meets Blue and everything goes down from there.

Here's the "interesting" part. This author, who is new to me, is a flowery prose sort of person. She sets the scene, includes crazy details, etc. Also a lot of the "spicy" scenes kind of fade to black in a delicate fashion. This was a good book, the plot was great and I loved the characters. But, I can see why the writing style would bother some.

What a great start to a new series of the Underground Vengeance MC NOLA. This is Vapor’s story who is the Prez of the MC.

When looking to make a deal with men who deal in the skin trade, he spots Blue, who also happens be the daughter of one of the men and fiancé of the other. The connection between the two are instant but there are so many things standing in their way.

This story was packed full of steam, suspense and plenty of MC action. I can’t wait to see what comes next in this series.
