It's just before dawn. The Dream Collector's truck has broken down and the neighborhood is overrun with dreams. Zachary must help round them up -- or else they will become real. The Dream Collector is a captivating, beautifully illustrated tale of a boy's dream-tinged adventure -- and proof that dreams really can come true!

I want to like this book, I really do. I want to like every children's picture book.
But this is a turn-off record for this Goodreads reviewer. Right on the first page, a boy is standing with both of his bare feet on a toilet seat?
Gross!
At least the story doesn't reach that level of ickiness again. But then Zachary winds up getting a great big dog, and (according to this story), how nice. His parents will be surprised.
But what, and they will have to keep it?
Not a book I would ever buy!

I liked the story. It moved a little slow at times. The end was a bit predictable, but the humor was great. The illustrations were well done and the color was awesome.
This is a wonderful picture book. I read the book many years ago and still have it on my shelves. I always loved it because it is so creative. The illustrations are fantastic as well.
