Madelyn goes on a date with a guy named David the night before. She went to visit him in the hospital the next day. David tells her it's over and he never wants to see her again. Turns out that a strange man went after David and said that Madelyn belongs to him. What do you do when you fall for someone who watches you from the shadows?
What Xavier did to David was a little much. I do feel bad about how everything went down between Madelyn and David. All the notes were nice. Their banter was cute. It's funny how hard Madelyn kept trying to push Xavier away but also loved his attention. Xavier saving Madelyn was everything. It was unfortunate how Madelyn found out about what Xavier was in that way. That video was not what I expected. The ending was good.

It was an amazing read🤩🤩🤩!! I loved reading this book soo much the little stalker Xavier was he literally stalked the entire way into Madelyn's heart and I loved everything about him!! And ofc Madelyn being the Human slowly accepting everything about Xavier instead of lashing out or making him wait[not that he ever made her wait or even cared about her consent🤭🤭] she understood him and accepted him for who he was. And omg Melanie!! She's one of the amazing side character in the story!!! The way she was overprotective over her bestfriend and didn't even one minute let anything happened to her and not was she ready to let Madelyn feel insecure or anything, if anything she was more mother figure for Madelyn!.And F*ck Colby😘

Oh my god! Finished it in less than a few hours, I couldn’t stop reading! I was hooked from the start! The stalking, the friendship, the sex🥵 It’s spicy but not so much of it but the few times, damn! I loved the book! I enjoyed it. I loved the story, for me it was never a dull moment. Loved the characters. First time reading something of Amanda’s but it won’t be the last. The story just gets better and better, and more thrilling and exciting.

This was a great dark PNR shifter read! There are a lot of emotions with trauma in both MCs past. I loved Xavier and Madelyn. Although they had an unconventional start, you totally feel their chemistry! There are some great spicy scenes, drama, action, suspense and some witty banter mixed in. Check the trigger warnings!

I really enjoyed this book!
This book follows Madelyn & Xavier.
Madelyn is a small town girl who works in a police station with a troubled history of always going for the bad guys. She starts to go out of her comfort zone and starts dating a ‘normal , average guy’ David.
Xavier is your shifter. He’s morally grey, he stalks madelyn and obsesses over her from the very beginning after realising she is his ‘fated mate’. He physically harms David for even going near her and warns him off her.
Once Madelyn realises David’s been hurt and visits him at the hospital David looses his temper and tells her to stay away from her, this is where Xavier ups his stalking game and starts leaving notes & gifts for Madelyn by way of introducing himself. He gets into her home, has tracking devices and video surveillance. He hacks her phone!!! 🫣🤣
They have a very rocky turbulent story of him persuing her and she’s adamant she’s not interested. Throughout the story she slowly learns more about her shifter mate & just how serious he is about owning her & the more she learns the more she realises she’s in danger.
Xavier goes to every length he can to protect her but he’s not successful and eventually learns that not only has he not protected her well but now he must rescue her.
For me I could not put this book down! I read it in 24 hours , I loved the way their relationship developed and literally wanted to keep reading while they fell in love.
I would say I would have preferred the build up to the end to be more intense and dragged out a bit as I did find it quite a quick solve problem but other than that I really enjoyed it and can’t wait to read more of her work.

This was a fun, quick read with lots of steam. I loved the obsession Xavier displayed when he found Madelyn. I loved how he was a real big softie for her a true cinnamon roll by every definition. There’s also some great tropes, he falls first, fated mates, tragic pasts that make them a bit edgy, it ends with feel good vibes and a happy ever after so a win for me!

Oh My! What a story! This story is one that will have you on the edge of your seat. It is a gripping, stunning story with so much action and drama. I loved Xavier and his stalker attitude and protective personality. He definitely made this an amazing story. Then we have Madelyn and she reacts to Xavier’s stalking. She has had a pretty rough life that never stopped her amazing personality and the loving, caring actions she shows the ones she cares about. The two of the together definitely had some major chemistry that just leaps off the screen/pages. There are fated mates that adds that extra element to the story. The story drew me in from the very beginning. I was unable to put it down. The story is extremely well written and developed. It has amazing descriptions that allowed me to easily picture what is occurring throughout the story. This is absolutely a fantastic must read. It will not disappoint.

Couldn’t put it down! Xavier 🔥 the MMC left me wanting more of his story. Kind of a dark romance read but a good plot to go along with it. The random humor had me laughing and the best friend keeping the FMC grounded was a great touch. If you like a good quick read that has elements of dark romance and paranormal, this is it!

I loved this book. I have never read a dark romance book so when this story started I was all over the place on how I felt about it. I was so enthralled with the story I could not put it down. I found myself intrigued about how the story line was going to go. The characters where well developed and the story was well written.

Loved how to story jumped straight into the stalker and didn’t drag out!

What else can I say except, “Wow!!!!!!!!!!” I could not stop reading this book! I found myself wanting to stay home instead of going to work; I was that invested in the storyline. Even though Xavier started out as the stalker, I love how he eventually won Madelyn’s heart and loved how she came to understand and accept him, which led to their happy ending. I can't wait to read some of Ms. Mann’s works.

I enjoyed this quick shifter stalker fated mates read. The characters are pretty well developed and the story moved at a good pace. Xavier is committed right away, his instincts telling him she's the mate for him. She however needs some convincing, lol. The writing is good and I was happy with the ending.

It was great! Obsessed stalker MMC and a stubborn and strong FMC. Loved the complete opposite of their two worlds, and how her best friend played into the mix. They both have troubled pasts which affects how they come together and work through issues. Both of them have a hard time opening up, but have found that safe place with each other. Great read, thanks Amanda!

I was thoroughly immersed in the world of Out of Darkness from the very beginning. The author's ability to throw me into the story without hesitation had me hooked from the start. I could vividly picture Xavier's brooding intensity and dark, growly demeanor, making it easy to become invested in his character.
The romance was a highlight of the book, with a perfect balance of tension and release. The spice level was sufficient to keep things interesting, but not so overpowering that it detracted from the storyline. I appreciated the subtle hints of the supernatural world, which added a layer of complexity to the narrative.
While I would have liked a bit more backstory earlier on, I felt that the second half of the book made up for it with its rich descriptions and character development. The dual POVs worked well, allowing me to gain insight into both characters' thoughts and feelings without being overly intrusive.
One aspect that might have improved the reading experience for me was more explicit descriptions of the characters' inner lives. As someone who enjoys getting into the heads of characters, I found myself wishing for more first-person narration or internal monologues. Nevertheless, I still managed to connect with the characters and became deeply engaged in their story.
Overall, I would recommend Out of Darkness as a lighter, enjoyable read for fans of paranormal romance. It's a great introduction to the dark romance genre, with a sweet and spicy blend that will leave you feeling satisfied. While it may not have been perfect, it's a delightful addition to any bookshelf.

This book was definitely on the lighter side of dark romance, but I very much enjoyed the read! It was a pretty quick read too, a bit over 200 pages.
It had a very possessive stalker mmc, Xavier, who is a wolf shifter. It had fated mates, enemies to lovers, angst, and spice. I really liked how the characters relationship developed - a lot of push and shove to begin with by Madelyn, the FMC. It was definitely a he falls first kind of book. Xavier knew instantly that he wasn’t going to let Madelyn get away, he even goes as far as putting the ‘normal’ guy she was just starting to date in hospital to keep him far away.
Madelyn and Xavier had a rough start in life, both experiencing trauma at a young age and having a big impact on who they became as adults.

When I started reading this book, I was disturbed by Xavier and his actions. Would he redeem himself? Both Xavier and Madelyn were broken because of their past. Could love fix what was broken? Xavier and Madelyn could not navigate their tumultuous relationship in peace. Xavier had ruthless enemies that would stop at nothing to hurt him and the woman he loved.

I absolutely loved this book, I love Amanda K. Mann and her writing. This book and Amanda's writing is addicting and absolutely intoxicating. I find Amanda K. Mann's writing to be dark, beautiful, and wickedly smart. She never tells the same story twice.

It throws you into the story right away. I could imagine Xavier all dark, growly, & intense.
The spice could have gone further but was enough to wet your whistle.
There could have been more detail in the first half, I think explaining more backstory earlier would have been nice, but the last half was filled with description! If someone hasn't read a wolf shifter book before, there would need to be more explanation of the that world sooner.
The book had both POVs, but not in first person. I like to get into the characters heads more, to see through their eyes. When I read, I feel like I'm making my movie adaption of the book, so I need to be able to get my "actors" into that headspace. Sounds silly, but totally makes my book world come alive!

If you are in to shifters, aggressively protective boyfriends and the absolute best friends ever, this is the book for you!
Xavier is a wolf shifter who, as soon as he lays eyes on Madelyn, he knows she is his ‘fated mate’. Now he just has to deal with the pesky guy she’s dating (which he does), and get her to realize they are meant to be. How does he do this? By stalking her, of course! He takes the time to learn absolutely everything about Madelyn so he can protect her the best way possible and find his way into her heart.
The story had great momentum from the very start and never slowed down. There are steamy sex scenes and some really great fight scenes. I loved the characters! Melanie is the best and Colby is a psychotic freak! Once I started, I couldn’t stop until I had finished it. Overall, I loved it!

Now he just has to deal with the pesky guy she’s dating (which he does), and get her to realize they are meant to be. How does he do this? By stalking her, of course! He takes the time to learn absolutely everything about Madelyn so he can protect her the best way possible and find his way into her heart.
The story had great momentum from the very start and never slowed down. There are steamy sex scenes and some really great fight scenes. I loved the characters! Melanie is the best and Colby is a psychotic freak! Once I started, I couldn’t stop until I had finished it. Overall, I loved it!

A book with a shifter AND dark romance? sign me up! These type of books always has me rooting for the villain "she calls it stalking, i call her mine" I LOVE IT! Great book, strong plot and loveable FMC/MMC

Madelyn and Xavier gripped my heart. I liked the whole "push and pull" in their "relationship". His intense attraction was something she couldn't hide from. He was possessive, protective and a little unhinged, you just had to like this psycho! They both had traumatic childhoods which explains why Xavier was ruthless and why Madelyn was reserved . I admired the strength Madelyn took to overcome hers, she really did deserve her happy ending ✨5/5 ✨

I love stalker romance, I love shifter romance, so Shifter Stalker romance? My cup of coffee (I don’t like tea). Xavier is everything I wanted him to be, yes he was a stalker, but he had his reasons, and he’s not one of them “touch her and I’ll off you” but never does. Oh boy he does.
This was one of them books that takes a firm grip and will not let you put it down until it’s done. I’m just mad I didn’t pick it up sooner.

Is there anything better than OTT alpha stalker willing to do anything and everything to make you his? Why yes! Add in the fact that he is a shifter with all the added possessiveness and testosterone that comes with that and you have our dear Xavier! This is my first time reading a stalker romance that is also based in the PNR genre and I gotta say - love it! Both Madelyn and Xavier definitely had a rough start to life (see trigger warnings!) but these experiences ultimately shaped who they are now and made them a perfect fit for each other. And don't even get me started on their chemistry level! Xavier could make a nun blush. All in all, this ended up being a very enjoyable book and I look forward to seeing what else this author can cook up in that wonderful brain of hers!

I should have liked this more than I did. It had everything I love about great OTT obsessive mmc and a quietly strong fmc. The plot was dark and twisted. It all was great but for some reason I just didn’t love it. The writing towards the end gets very corny 🙄 so it’s possible the authors voice is what was holding me back the whole time. There is one major flaw in this book that I just couldn’t get over the bad guy finds out mmc is a shifter and when he tells other people they all believe him. This is a world like ours where people at large do not believe in supernatural so the fact that everyone just believes him is insane. There were some other issues too but this was the one that I just couldn’t get over.
