4.5 stars. These are really fun reads. I will say that the endings are a little abrupt for my liking, but still really love reading them. This one was a little frustrating though. The guys just did Not understand, and honestly when it all blew up they Did give up kind of fast. I really understood Joanie’s point with all of that. 🤷🏻♀️ whatever. It worked out in the end, even if I would’ve liked a little more of a mutual groveling effort on everyone’s part since I feel like they were all a little wrong.
Better than the last but I’m done with this series.
For the good: The sexy is sexy. I enjoyed how the men stood up to Janey for the “inevitable plot twist that temporarily breaks the couple up.” They didn’t grovel and called her out on her BS.
For the bad: I cringe at the constant unprotected sex with multiple men and no talk of birth control or condoms, getting tested, no safety. I understand suspending your belief but most contemporary modern books mentions one or the other and it takes the ick out of it.
And with every book (just the 2 thus far) ending with a pregnancy, seems like that will be the pattern so I won’t continue the series. Not my fantasy. And it feels too soon. Like they don’t even get to enjoy each other for a year before having a kid. Eh…
I love this book very much. My only issue is the final conflict didnt feel like there was a conclusion. For example book 1 Violet’s past aka her parents came back and we saw the got wrapped up. We also saw the situation with the guys get concluded however with this book 2 we only saw the conclusion to the relationship conflict even though it was kinda rushed. The issue of their collective past is still up in the air and felt like an open ending. I wished that was wrapped up.
Cute, easy read with a happy ending! I absolutely love the town this is set in and the characters are all great! I love that this book continues things that happened in the first book even though it’s about different characters. You find out more about bout the battle of the sexes which is hilarious, although I still feel like this side story could’ve been a little better written with more details. I feel like it was thrown in as filler material and it has real potential to add to the story. The reason I’m only giving this one 4 stars is because as much as I like drama between characters, I was super frustrated with Joanna. She couldn’t/wouldn’t explain herself to Chase, Bear, or Smith until things blew up. A lot of her anger could’ve been avoided. Also, I didn’t think she liked the twins and was surprised she wanted to be in their lives. She had 1 tea party with them, which she seemed aggravated about, and then they just disappeared for a ton of chapters with no explanation where they were. It was very odd. I don’t really get what happened to Smith. I know Chase was divorced and the child he thought he had wasn’t his. Bears wife died tragically. And Smith was a photographer who decided to move on when some stuff happened. His character feels forced and not as important as the others. Overall though I still like this series and would recommend to others to read!
This was an enjoyable, well written story. Both the main characters and the ones that played minor roles were likeable and well developed. Thankfully, there was a happy conclusion with no cliffhanger ending. It's great to read a story that has some content. To many authors are writing stories that have under 200 pages and expect a good return. I have purchased additional stories by this author and am looking forward to settling in for more fun and entertaining reading .
Joanie. Chase,Smith and Bears story was funny, spicy and intense! I listened to this book and could not stop! I recently found Summer Haze and I’m a fan! I loved all the characters and the town is amazing!
This book had some real LOL moments! I was in stitches!!! There was the right amount of everything in this book. The MFC was a little annoying in the end but still a great ending! I don’t think I have laughed so much when she called the dog names 🤣 Really good series so far can’t wait to start the next!
I loved how the author creates each character. The fun interactions between the characters. The way each personality works with others inside and outside the family group. I am looking forward to reading more books from this series and others that the author has written.
The book was good. I just need a little more add to the end of the story. Did she get pregnant if so what did she have. Did they all become a family. Most books I read always end this way. But the author always has you a extra part to click on the see the rest of the story.
I liked the story. LOVE the characters. All of them lol simple sweet story with spicy scenes but I feel like it was rushed.. some typos and lacking details like ppl moving or walking across the room... I'm still gonna finish the series so it didn't bug me too bad lol
Loved this book like the rest of the series. As with violets book, I didn’t like the break up moment. It was really stupid and didn’t make any sense. But other than that, I love the book. And I laughed a lot.
I love this book by Summer Haze, it was wonderfully wacky, sexy, sexy, sexy and full of heart, love and super hot men and their loved ones becoming a family.
I rate it a 4/5 loved the drama and spicy content. The dominant men are a plus as they control in the bedroom but their also caring and protective. The balance between need a cold shower omand needing a hug are very good, your emotions will be all over the place but it's all together a good read.
so um, this was wayyyy hotter than the first one, which I did not think would be possible, but apparently it is. The plot was greatly executed and I liked the characters more in this one. Highly recommend anyone and everyone to read this series🤌
I enjoyed the characters and the story lines of this story. I would definitely recommend that it is to be read along with the other books in the series.
I liked the story and really liked the female character, until she freaked out over the main trauma. Bear was another character who I liked, but acted weird near the end.
I love the fight between the characters and how that became a part of their relationship. There was humor and spice, a perfect combination for a great book!
