Despite being said to be a beginner friendly book, the concepts were not in an intuitive order (author would introduce SD-WAN in chapter 1 while saying not to worry about what a switch or a router is until chapter 5, or show the destination and source MAC address where the destination is a broadcast MAC, explaining the flow of a frame while saying “don’t worry I’ll explain broadcasting later”). If it’s not going to make sense anyways, you might as well go in the order of the objectives of the exam. I wouldn’t recommend this if you’re brand new to networking and trying to grasp the foundational concepts in the first place.
