Is a sweet clean later in life, friends to lovers, romance with mystery, suspense and no cliffhanger.
Some of the lines I really liked --- "Are you saying I'm turning into a thousand pound cow because I like milk? I was taught it was full of calcium that is good for my bones and teeth. What I think the real question here is, are you calling my mother a liar?" ---
"Contrary to popular belief, not only do I know how to cook, but I enjoy it sometimes." ---
When you're in a jam, remember to let your heart guide you. Your mind only sees black and white, but the world doesn't work that way. There are a whole lot of colors in between--colors that only your heart can decipher, so let it be your guide. ---
I highly recommend "The Library On Plum Island." I can't wait for the next book to be released. I received a free ARC and this is my honest opinion.

This was book #4 that I’ve read of Amy Rafferty’s Cobble Beach Romance series. Every book has been thoroughly enjoyable, and The Library on Plum Island continued with the character, Daniella Thornton who is the doctor in a small town and her clinic is attached to the library.

I appreciated how the author weaved the previous storyline into this book as a refresher of who was who with the characters and their storylines.

I love how Amy’s books mix the perfect blend of romance, mystery and a happily-ever-after. There was an immediate spark between Alex and Daniella, and I enjoyed watching it grow with Alex becoming a better man to win Daniella’s heart. Another great story with plenty of twists and turns along the way to keep you turning the pages.

Daniella’s finishing her shift at the clinic when a phone caller from her past frightens her. As the town doctor and librarian, she’s started her life over on Plum Island to get away from her stocker. Looks like he’s found her.

When Alex Blackwell comes into the clinic with a broken hand, internal sparks fly between Alex and Daniella. As Dani’s stocker threats get more serious, Alex steps up to help flush him out. BUT...is all the mayhem on Plum Island being caused by Dani’s stocker, or, someone else?

Talk about a zinger of an opening in this fantastic book, the Library on Plum Island, book 4 in this splendid series. It was yet another book I could not put down! Anything & everything you could want in a book from honest, hard working career professionals, some just to make ends meet; good guys, bad guys, kidnappings, healing, hopefulness & most of all love. I’ve laughed out loud so many times thru this story; I’ve held my breath; I’ve tried raise my signature Botoxed (migraines) eyebrows…alas, that’s the only thing not happening with this book! Get it! Today! Immediately! You’ll be delighted you did!

I love all things Amy Rafferty and this does not disappoint, this is book four of six in the Cobble Beach Romance series. Daniella is the doctor and the head librarian on Plum Island. When Daniella is finishing her shift at the clinic, a phone caller from her past scares her enough to make her want to run again. Her uncle Sam and cousin Harley keep her steady. Alex Blackwell comes to the clinic with a broken hand, it's Daniella to the rescue. When Daniella touches Alex's hand the electricity flows both ways. Can Alex help Daniella deal with her unwanted past? Love the plot, great setting, and strong intense interesting characters. I look forward to the next book in the series!!!

Daniella and Alex, two souls that have had to deal with other people who don't take their rejection.
Daniella had to uproot her and Emily's life because of Dr Jackson.
Alex has had yo deal with the fallout of a broken engagement, that never really was.
Daniella begins to seeing Alex a different person than the one her portrays.
Alex has been in love with Daniella since they met.
This is a great story that will keep you guessing who causing all of the problems and threatening Daniella and Alex. And where are they hiding and who have they gotten to help them?
Definitely a book that will keep you turning the pages to see what happens with these two likeable characters.

Life on this small island is certainly not quiet and boring for its inhabitants as you would imagine it could be.. There are eclectic mix of characters and their problems. The filming of a well known series has stopped life and its residents.
Danielle is the widowed local doctor and librarian, who with her daughter lives a quieter life . Alex is a playboy, heartbreaking, party throwing producer, who seeks medical attention for his hand. Feelings of instant attraction, ghreats from a stalker and a man who is wanting to become changed man. The reader is engaged as the plot unravels and the relationship develops, with twists and turns adding to the drama of it all

The Library on Plum Island is an excellent addition to this series and is the romantic story of Daniella and Alex which reveals the secrets of both characters. Daniella is the island’s physician/head librarian as well as mother to Emily while Alex is known as the “player” of the Blackwell family, however, appearances are not always what they seem. Their story has fantastic characters, witty banter, secrets, suspense, danger, stalking, and a great love story. I highly recommend this well written and exceptional series.

Enthralling and captivating story.

Amy Rafferty has absolutely enthralled and captivated me with the story of Daniella and Alex. Surrounded by loyal and loving family and friends, Daniella and Alex come to grips with threats from their past that made me feel despair and fear. I love this book, this series and the standalone stories throughout this series with all the main characters reappearing and growing throughout the series. Amy Rafferty is a brilliant writer and her books are superb!

shared burdens
My heart weeped for what must have happened to Daniella and Alex in the past to make them so suspicious and protective of their hearts. Maybe similar experiences are the reason they are able to understand each other better than others can and when Daniella´s daughter Emily finds herself in a dangerous situation, they work together perfectly to save the girl, which puts their relationship to another level. I was touched by this review copy reminding me that although bad things happen to all of us, fortunately there are people who understand us and are willing to give support.

Daniella is the dr & head librarian all in the same building. She’s got a 16 yr old daughter who is deaf and will do anything to protect her. Alex Blackwell is what people believe to be a playboy. Emily gets lost & Alex finds her after that they share a special bond.
Daniella’s past comes back to haunt her. Alex’s past comes back to haunt him. A fire, a wedding & a kidnapping. Will they be able to keep their loved ones safe & themselves? What will happen next?

Lots of intrigue in this addition to the series. Dr Danielle Thornton seems to be hiding a secret. When handsome producer Alex Blackstone comes to the clinic for treatment on his hand, sparks fly. When Danielle’s daughter comes up missing, Alex risks further damage to his hand to rescue her.

It seems both characters are hiding secrets, and have past relationships nightmares. Can Danielle ever be safe from her stalker? Will her friends and family be at risk due to her secret past?

Another great book in this series. Really enjoyed reading it. Can’t help but getting drawn in by the story of H and h as H works to protect h from an abusive individual from her from whom she is hiding. In the process they fall in love. H marries h to protect her only to find out in the end that the h is being threatened because of someone being after the H. In the end H and h are able to declare their love for each other.

Another riveting & enthralling romantic suspence that has us on the edge of our seats as events unfold, right to the very end. There’s so many bad people wanting to cause major harm, even death. Each book in the series seems to have more drama than the previous book.

Such a great story of two people who go through many emotions. It starts with love’s inkling in their heart to threats and dangers. Amy is the most thrilling author with the unending plot twists. I always look forward being introduced to new members to this very close-knit family. It is a joy to see new people introduced a well as being updated on past acquaintances. The thrills just keep me turning those pages. It is just like returning to the family for another visit.

What an exciting page-turning book, The Library on Plum Island. I read this book in one day. There was no way I was going to stop reading. Daniella is the librarian and the town doctor. Alex is associated with the movie on the island. Someone is stalking both of them. The mystery begins and keeps you turning page after page. This was such a fantastic book that kept you going until the end. Amy Rafferty sure knows how to grab a reader and keep them hooked. It is onto book five in the series.

We keep getting more answers and these are really welcome. Dr. Danielle Thornton wears many hats on Plum Island, but her background is a mystery and she is getting more and more jittery. This may be my favorite installment of this serial, but I will admit there are more to come. We get wonderful characters, danger, kidnappings, romance, death, and more than a few twists and turns. I can’t wait to find out what comes next.

Another great story in this series

This book is so full of suspense that I could not but the book down. This was Danilla as he Alex's story.you need to read it to see how it ended. Now on to book 5
