This is a Must-Read Series

Lincoln and Jolene’s story was a five plus star rating for me. You are lucky to get this complete series and won’t miss a beat reading from one book to the next. As soon as these books hit my kindle, I did nothing else because they were that good and I just HAD to know how this would all work out for the couple. Fantastic series you’ll want to one click!!

*****ARC*****

The entire series was freaking amazing. It was certainly a journey and I got the happily ever after I needed from this book. Lincoln and Jolene are definitely one of my fave couples for sure. Everything that they've been through and they still found each other at the end of it all.

Yes, they did let their family and careers influence their downs in their relationship then and now BUT in the end, they chose each other, they chose themselves. They were made for each either. Nothing at all could keep them apart and I love it. Lincoln groveled and made sure to fight for what was most important to her and that warned my heart.

Overall the rating for this book I give it a ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐/5. I really loved it, even though there were times I wanted to pull my hair out because they wouldn't just choose each other and be together, and kept asking the same questions and noy coming up with a real solution. But that didn't deter me one bit because I saw the love, I knew their love and through everything they won and also managed to bring everybody together.

I'm currently in withdrawal from this book because I read them back to back and now I have to go on living with Lincoln and Jolene in my life, lol. But I was happy to be apart of their world. These books were amazing. Books are short, chapters are short. Its captivating, thrilling, sexy, beautiful, it gives you everything. Trust me. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

Rivalry:

This book was a great starter to this entire series. Lincoln and Jolene are quite the enemies and I'm already loving it. You can see the forbiddenness because of their jobs for one but most importantly because of the family feud. The flirting and banter between them is already giving and I really like them.

I love the family dynamic for both, more so on Jolene's side. Her family is more supportive, especially her dad. She's a badass at her job and a badass mom. I mean she would do anything for that little one. I love her for that. I can see the rivalry between both families but I'm on Team Bailey ,no apologizes.

I can't wait to see more of these two, I'm really excited for the rest of the books and to see where this go because if what we got was so amazing already and the heat is all the way up, I can't wait to see what's to come.

For this book I'll give it a ⭐⭐⭐⭐/5. I really want both Lincoln and Jolene to STOP! resisting what they both want. They have never stopped loving each other but they keep letting their family feud get in between them. And I get it, that's your family and you want to stay loyal to them but come on, you're that old, you have great careers, want to settle down, found each other again, and still holding back? No. They need to grow BIGGER balls; these two, yes both of them, have balls, they just need to be bigger, and start living the life THEY want. Also, I'm gonna need the true story to come out and for that to happen, Lincoln NEEDS to stand up to his dad.

Again, Team Bailey all the way!

Playcall:

This book was 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 to say the least. I'm just so freaking happy that they decided to give into what they wanted. Its definitely a difficult road to journey on especially because both their families HATE! each other and the fact that their careers would be ruined if it should come out.

Now, I knew they still had feelings for each other but this book shows their feelings. I mean he admitted so much; but not the main thing, but whichever way, this book showed a different side to me on how much they feel for each other. But is it wrong to still want more from them? I'm just over them with the back and forth. Like one minute they're on cloud nine and all over each other and the next is just pure anxiety, tears and wondering what to do. They're two grown adults and they are amazingly strong individuals, just be together already. And while I'm on that, the fake dating is a no no for me. Love that trope, totally, definitely, but in this case I'm not for it. I won't go into details but too much feelings; more the jealous emotion that comes up too much.

I love Lincoln and Jolene as individuals. I wanna just say how much of a strong woman Jolene is, I felt all the things she was going through and trust me it's ALOT! She stands up for herself so well, she is an amazing mom. Lincoln is great at his work and he doesn't take the bullshit. But...with both of them, they need to stand up to their parents and be together. And they need to understand that people feel threatened so they need to ask the questions and not be offended by those questions.

Overall the rating is ⭐⭐⭐⭐/5. I'm still very much loving these two but I'm here for when everything spills over and shit hits the fan because guess what? That is exactly what needs to happen for things to fall into place with these two. They do so many things right but when I start getting frustrated and annoyed is when they start doubting each other, doubting the relationship that they haven't even been in for a proper few months yet. Lincoln especially needs to grow the heck up and face his dad head on. He keeps wanting his approval and he ain't never gonna get it. I understand the feeling but there comes a time and place in your life when you need to just accept you'll never be good for certain people in your life. You can't please people and that's the fact when it comes to his father.

Still Team Bailey...Jolene just needs to tell her family what's going on, especially her father.

Game Play:

This book in particular was, I would say, SUPER SPICY! And guess what? There's no complaining from this side of the room. While I'm still really frustrated about the sneaking around they have to do, that actually makes it even more 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥.

They still face so many challenges and they keep asking the same questions and having the same results. What I realized after reading this book last night is that, if you really love someone, won't you do ANYTHING and give up EVERYTHING to be with them? Especially if you know they are the one. Yeah it's a risk them coming clean but at the end of the day, they were inlove then and they're inlove now even after so many many years and so much hurt. They're such smart and strong individuals, and I get that of course the more it prolongs the more story we'll get BUT how about they be together already and face the challenges together. I mean I'm very much in awe of the plans they came up with so they could be together but its exhausting at this point. I'm hoping in the next book that they'll come clean or attest get caught because its too much at this point to see them ask the same things repeatedly.

Also, and this is VERY important but didn't he just tell her the truth about what his dad did? Like she blatantly told her and I don't know, she just ignored it. Because the way he said it was literally admitting to the biggest rumor and the reason why the family broke apart. I don't know about anybody else but I thought when she heard that, it would've turned into this big blow out thing but it didn't. Hopefully she'll catch up on that in the next book.

Overall the rating I give this book is a ⭐⭐⭐⭐/5. I have basically gotten everything I want from a book. There's a great balance with it all. The only thing and I'll keep saying it until I see it, is they need to make up their minds and just be together because at this point, yeah it'll make them stronger in a way, but it just seems they're not willing to take the jump. Moving around in secrecy is sooo hot but at some point they need to do what's best for them and not let their families or careers come in the middle of the love they have for each other. And their love is REAL, so them not actually being together annoys me because I want them out there shouting to the whole world that they're inlove and they can still get shit done.

Overtime:

Alright. So what I wanted to happen FINALLY! happened. I mean it wasn't in their terms BUT it happened. Of course there were still lingering secrets and of course the happily ever after didn't last but guess what? I think they can still make it. Their love is too strong to just go their separate ways. The secrets are HUGE! They are. And I get that Jolene will be hurt but that last part with their love will bring them together.

Can we talk about how Lincoln grew some bigger balls and stood up to that disgusting of a father of his. I was so proud. They BOTH stood on what their hearts were telling them and made the right decision. The only wrong move Lincoln made was not telling the truth to Jolene. That was the only wrong move. I'm still Team Bailey when it comes to that whole situation but the Bailey family isn't the best people as well when especially when it comes to Lincoln and Jolene falling back inlove again. That ultimatum her mom gave her? I get it but that's your child. The only parent I REALLY REALLY love is the matriarch of the Nash family. She is just the best. I love her.

Overall I give this book a ⭐⭐⭐⭐.5/5. I really really loved this book a bit more than the others because I loved how they chose each other and themselves when it came to love and their individual and combined happiness. Jolene's son is making us all go "awww" with how he is and his relationship with Lincoln. I loved this book. Again, there was just one wrong move and that's Lincoln not telling the truth before his disgusting father along with other people revealed it. I can't wait to see how this all ends.

This series has me on the edge of my seat. So much angst. So much thrill. I love it.

Final Score:

I'm happy. Jolene is happy. Lincoln is happy. EVERYBODY! is happy. The secret broke them apart for awhile but of course love triumphs and at the end of it all, they found each their way back to each other. I'm in awe of this book. Probably my fa favorite because I love happily ever after and that's what this book gave me.

Everybody got back together and one big family. Not a hundred percent perfect of course BUT it was amazing to see everything coming together. This man fought her and the way he did it made my heart warm because it wasn't the normal groveling. It was fixing something else that was way more important to her than anything else. I love these two so much.

They are so strong together and apart. They're just so amazing. I'm currently having withdrawal from reading this book because I read all these books back to back. Overall rating for this book is ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐/5. I didn't need anything else from this book. It gave me everything and it was everything.

Penalty:

This was what I expected it to be. It's basically a prequel to their story after the injury of one father and heartbreak. I liked it. Gave us an overview of the emotions that were felt during all that drama.

I don't have much to say about the book because we basically got what this book gave in all the main books so yeah. I give this book a ⭐⭐⭐⭐/5 rating. It was short and I would say sweet because I know how it all end after two decades but yeah it was mostly alot of bad emotions. But it was still worth it to be read.

Thanks to Grey's Promotion and Valentines PR for selecting me for this ARC. And a HUGE!!! thank you to the wonderful author for writing these amazing books. THANK YOU!!! ❤❤❤

This would have been a five star read for me, but lowered when our hero “pretends” to date our heroine’s BFF, who are roommates along with their young sons. This didn’t sit right with me regardless of their many reasons. Ruined the entire book for me. Especially when our heroine has to fake a fight with her BFF to make the love of her life’s fake relationship to her BFF more believable. And all of the public pretend fights that followed.

Another season of Vegas Aces is here...and let me tell you that Lincoln and Jolene are pure fire!! It's second-chance/enemies-to-lovers/sports romance goodness wrapped into one delicious story. These two knew each other as kids, but something happened to break apart their relationship and their families' close bonds. But after all their years apart, these two still have such crazy hot chemistry between them. And of course the Romeo & Juliet vibes...ahh!! I just couldn't get enough of these two.

The series was a rollercoaster ride of emotions, and you'll love watching Jolene and Lincoln get their HEA. You'll get to see some old favorites from the author, along with the introduction of some new characters to keep our eyes on in the future. I know this isn't the last of our time spent in the Vegas Aces world, and I'm looking forward to seeing what Lisa comes up with next!

Lisa Suzanne has outdone herself with Lincoln & Jolene’s story. This enemy’s to lovers, second chance, single mum trope, had it all. With fun and laughter, along with accusations, misunderstandings, anger and hurt, Lincoln & Jolene can't fight their feelings for each other, even with the many obstacles, including family loyalties and past history standing in their way.
With plenty of chemistry and passion, drama, secrets and angst, the rollercoaster of emotions, twists, turns and secrets had me wondering how Lisa would bring about Lincoln & Jolene’s happy ever after. Not only did she pull it out of the bag, but the conclusion to Linc & Jo’s story was everything and more. An absolute must read

The Coach by Lisa Suzanne. Available on May 16, 2024.

The Coach is a 5 in 1 book. It starts us off with Rivalry, where Jolene and Lincoln are reunited after 20 years apart. They’re forced to work closely together, even though they hate each other.

We then end up at Play Call, where they’re at a conference but there’s a mix up with the hotel. So now have the one bed trope 😉 Jo and Linc are battling their feelings for each other.

In Game Play, we have Linc and Jo trying to navigate a relationship but keeping it from the public and their families.

Overtime is when things start to pick up. Jo is fighting to keep her job. Linc is trying to protect his family. Is it enough to push them apart?

The Final Score wraps everything up into a beautiful bow. I loved the book, the trials they had to go through to fight for their chance together. A perfect ending.

“What we shared was once in a lifetime. What we shared was supposed to be forever.”

Rivalry

Rivalry takes us back to the Vegas Aces. This time we are focusing on the new head coach, Lincoln Nash and his longtime family enemy/ex-girlfriend/ex-best friend, Jolene. These two were as close as two people could be when they were teenagers, but conflict between their families lead to a dramatic breakup. Now after years apart, they come face to face again and despite, their determination to remain enemies, the spark still burns between them.

Jolene is strong, independent, and extremely feisty. She’s quick to anger and Lincoln pushes all of her buttons. Lincoln has never forgotten Jolene, but he knows any relationship between them would be a betrayal to their families. All he wants is to make his dad proud and he works hard to keep his focus mainly on football.

Rivalry just touches on the undeniable chemistry simmering beneath these two. It’s full of drama, family, betrayal, anger, and passion. I was immediately drawn into Lincoln and Jolene’s story and cannot wait to see how it plays out.

Play Call

Play Call dives deeper into Lincoln and Jolene’s complicated relationship and all of their hidden feelings for each other. Both are fighting the intense attraction they have to one another while trying to keep ahold of their animosity towards one another, but when they find themselves sharing a hotel room, the pull is too strong to resist.

This installment of the story advanced their relationship and showed us how absolutely scorching they are together. Their feelings for each other have been buried underneath the surface for so many years and now that they are simmering to the surface, they are desperate to explore them, even knowing they are in an impossible situation. Hiding from everyone the true nature of their relationship takes a toll and soon everything looks hopeless.

I’m on pins and needles to see what’s going to happen next as the tension between these two is starting to boil over. The plan they have developed to see each other seems to be a disaster waiting to happen and I’m a bit anxious waiting for it to blow up in their faces. Full of Secrets, jealousy, betrayal, white-hot chemistry and a push and pull relationship that is full of love, anger, and a sense of doom, Play Call takes you through the gamut of emotions and will have you breathlessly waiting for the next chapter in Lincoln and Jolene’s story.

Game Play

The relationship between Lincoln and Jolene reaches new levels in Game Play. Both of them are realizing that they have never moved past their feelings for each other and that each moment they spend together makes those feelings more clear and stronger.

Even though they continue to sneak around, the angst and longing that they feel is at an all-time high as the hopelessness that they will ever be able to shout their feelings to the world builds. Their families have made it clear how much they despise everyone in each other’s families and continue to make it even more difficult for these two to be together. Add in sneaky co-workers and it feels like the whole world is against them.

I loved that Lincoln and Jolene are no longer hiding their true feelings from one another and that they are committed to making it work. Tensions continue to build as more people find out about their secret relationship. When the truth finally comes out, will they be able to hold on to the piece of happiness they have found with each other?

Overtime

Jolene and Lincoln continue their fight to be together in Overtime. While obstacles are hitting them from every corner, both Jolene and Lincoln reaffirm their commitment to each other, but when long-buried secrets come to life, will their love be enough to overcome the pain of their past?

My heart broke for these two even more in this installment. When their secret relationship is revealed, even more heartbreak is thrown at them. The people who are supposed to love them turn their backs on them and are determined to rip them apart. The lengths that they will go through to cause them pain hurt my heart, but Lincoln’s determination to fight for their love is inspiring.

Overtime is full of secrets, betrayal, revenge, and a promise to fight for a love that has never died. When the worst comes at them, they have persevered, but the last secret may break them apart forever.

Final Score

Final Score is the angsty, emotional conclusion to Lincoln and Jolene’s second chance love story. Lincoln and Jolene faced so many obstacles that I wondered if they would ever be able to find their HEA. Just when they had thought things were falling into place, it had quickly fallen apart. Jolene is struggling to trust Lincoln after the devasting reveal of the secret that he had kept from her. While she’s keeping a secret of her own, Lincoln is determined to earn back her trust and to fight for the woman he loves.

I loved Lincoln’s persistence and perseverance to prove himself to Jolene. He can’t imagine his life without her and Jonah anymore and he will fight anyone and anything he has to in order to be back in their lives. Jolene is overwhelmed and hurt from Lincoln’s betrayal and she doesn’t know how she could ever trust him again, but all she wants is a life and family with him. Watching these two face the past and try to overcome all the pain was heartbreaking, but they finally realized that they had to make the choice to choose love even if others didn’t approve.

I absolutely LOVED the epilogue to this story. It was perfection! I wish some of the characters had faced more consequences, but all in all, this was a fantastic ending for Lincoln and Jolene. Now I can’t wait for the other Nash brothers to find their HEA’s.

In full disclosure, I had the honor of reading an ARC of each individual book before they came out, but I still jumped at the chance to reread it as a complete set! I loved it just as much this time. The biggest bonus was not having the anxiety of those pesky cliffhangers!😉

Here are my Reviews by Book:

Rivalry is the first book in the Vegas Aces: The Coach series by Lisa Suzanne, featuring a riveting enemies to lovers/second chance romance between the new head coach, Lincoln, and the main reporter covering the team, Jolene. They were in love as teenagers, when a catastrophic drama between their fathers ripped their families apart. Now, here they are 20 years later, thrust together in a professional environment with so much animosity and passion surging beneath the surface, it feels like the whole world might explode! I’m loving the Romeo and Juliet vibes, the secrets that are already being hinted at, and all the tension and angst!! One kiss was all it took to set the tone for the rest of the series, and I predict it will be HOT!!🥵🥵 The single parent trope is a winner for me when it’s done well, and I have high hopes that Lincoln will adapt well.😉 I’ve always heard there’s a thin line between love and hate, and I can’t wait to watch Lincoln and Jolene continue to dance all over that line!!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Play Call is the second book in the Vegas Aces: The Coach series by Lisa Suzanne, picking up right where Rivalry left off, and amping up the tension, drama, and passion in a big way! A hotel reservation blunder leads to a tempting one bed situation that is a game changer. They can’t fight their feelings despite the mountain of obstacles between them. When Jolene’s best friend, Sam, offers to fake-date Lincoln to help shield their secret relationship, red flags started flying in my brain immediately and my gut tensed up. I have a bad feeling about this plan, but I am so here for it!! The twists and turns just kept coming to add to the drama and the pressure on this couple!! They have detractors coming at them from every direction professionally and personally. This book was jam-packed with emotion, angst, drama, and secrets. And the passion? Whoa! These two are thermonuclear together!! They had me blushing, when they were on the phone!🥵 I’m afraid they have a rough road ahead, but I’m excited to see what’s around the corner.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
🌶️🌶️🌶️

Game Play is the third book in the Vegas Aces: The Coach series by Lisa Suzanne, where the trouble is mounting for Jolene and Lincoln. I was riveted to the pages as the drama multiplied, and hit them from every direction! Now they’re facing more family trouble, ex drama, a sketchy assistant, the skeevy work rival, and more!! The twists and turns are angsty and exciting, and the spice level is even higher than the last book! They are straight fire together!!🔥🥵 The clock is clearly ticking on their secret, and as much as I’m ready to see them find their happiness, the sheer chaos around them makes it hard to hope. The fall out will be epic, as will the resolution. I can’t wait to see how this author toys with my emotions next!!😂 Don’t miss this rollercoaster ride, as it may be her best series yet!!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

Overtime is the 4th book in the Vegas Aces: The Coach series by Lisa Suzanne, and it is a doozy!! Secrets are exposed, while more are being hidden, weasels are bringing drama from every direction, and ultimatums are being leveled!! I swear every book is more exciting than the last!! The emotion and angst in this one even had me tearing up. I was overwhelmed by the level of the villainous behavior of so many of the characters in this book!!😡 I seriously need some likenesses to throw darts at!😅 Prepare to have your mind blown by all the twists and turns! My brain is still buzzing, and I’m still processing the cliffhanger that just about knocked me off my bed! I have no idea how Linc and Jolene come back from where they are at this moment, I but I have full confidence that the last book will be an epic journey. Why can’t people just leave them alone and let them love each other?!🥹 If you haven’t started reading this series, you are missing out!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
🌶️🌶️

Final Score is the 5th book in the Vegas Aces: The Coach series by Lisa Suzanne, featuring an epic conclusion to an amazing series!! I really enjoyed Lincoln and Jolene’s final push through the drama into the end zone for their final score! They were met with a few new surprises and potential secrets along the way, and of course they had their antagonists, but they also had plenty of friends in their corner! May I say that Jack Dalton is as awesome as ever!🥰 Although Lincoln and Jolene’s relationship in this particular book was an emotional roller coaster ride of it’s own, they still had that fiery chemistry, along with a heart-warming sweetness. It was wrapped up in a beautiful way, and you don’t to forget to download the bonus epilogue!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
🌶️🌶️🌶️

Penalty is the prequel for the Vegas Aces: The Coach series by Lisa Suzanne, which is an emotional recounting of the dramatic incident that started it all! Your heart will already be breaking for young Jolene and Lincoln as they are manipulated by an authority figure. Their lives are set on a different course, leaving readers ripe for the amazing roller coaster ride to come!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

If you’ve been waiting for the complete set, here’s your chance to enjoy all this series has to offer without those pesky cliffhangers!!😉 Don’t miss Lincoln and Jolene’s epic journey to find love again!! Overall, this is one of my favorite series by this author with amazing characters, spicy chemistry, swoon worthy moments, dramatic twists and turns, secrets, surprises, family drama, villains, and more!! You won’t regret this must-read series.

Vegas Aces: Rivalry
Jolene Bailey and Lincoln Nash have a history together. They were friends in high school and became more. They loved each other and would probably still be together today if something hadn't happened between their fathers which caused Lincoln to break up with her. This has caused a family feud that has lasted the last twenty years and it's been that long since they've seen each other.

Jolene has been a sports beat reporter for the last seven years and just got the job of the Aces correspondent. That doesn't go over well with several other reporters who wonder how she got the job.
She is also a single mom of a 7 year old boy Jonah.

After coaching for a decade, Lincoln is now a head coach with the Vegas Aces professional football team. At thirty-six he hopes this will last the rest of his career.
He comes from a family of football players but is the first one to stop playing the game after an injury.

Lincoln is surprised when he meets the correspondent for the team that he will have to work closely with, Jolene. She tried to talk the team owner out of hiring him as the coach but with no luck. Now they have to learn to work together.

"Does it matter what I want? You've already made up your mind!" Jolene says.
"What either of us wanted back then-what we want now...no." He shakes his head. "It's never mattered."
But the feelings are still there.

Vegas Aces: Play Call

Jolene having been caught kissing Lincoln by Ryan Rivera is causing problems for her. He thinks she only got her job by sleeping her way up and he's out to make her life miserable.

Now she's on her way to attend a graduation that Lincoln is speaking at. Wouldn't be a problem except there was an issue with her hotel room and she doesn't have one but Lincoln offers to let her stay with him.

This weekend changed a lot of things for both of them.

God, I love her. I still love her. Those feelings are still strong. They never went away. Never faded. Never dimmed.

Lincoln has enough issues with one of his coach's butting heads with him but now his parents are moving to town and close to him. So they come up with an idea of him dating her roommate and best friend Sam and have a public fight between the roommates at an event with the media there as well.

"Don't make me choose between friendship and love."
This is so real.
The lines are getting very blurry.
"We keep saying we're figuring things out, but this has an end date, Linc. It just does. It doesn't matter how we feel."

Vegas Aces: Game Play

When a charity event comes up and both Lincoln's parents and Jolene's parents will be there, nothing good can come out of it. The proof is when both fathers get into an argument, cause a scene and then are asked to leave.
"How can we possibly be together when there's just so much bad blood between our families?"

Trying to keep everything quiet but still be together, Lincoln tells his publicist who comes up with some ideas on them working together out in the public eye. Great idea but they are still being watched.

They decide it's time for a public breakup between Lincoln and Sam but it's not that easy. Lincoln just wants this to end so he can be with Jolene.
"God, I love her. So much."

But remember, there are cameras everywhere and someone wants her job and won't stop to out her.

Vegas Aces: Overtime
Jolene just can't catch a break. Rivera has it out for her and wants her gone because he thinks she stole his job from him. He will do anything!

Lincoln's brother Asher has gotten into some trouble and of course comes to Lincoln for help. This has all kinds of repercussions for both of them.

Just when Jolene has some ideas and things are looking up for her and Lincoln, Rivera hits again. But he has help from two people who have it in for both of them as well.
Will this rip them apart?

"But I choose you, Jolene."

Vegas Aces: Final Score

The conclusion--
Jolene is confronted by Rivera about a secret that Lincoln has kept from her that happened when they were teens that tore them apart then and is tearing them apart once again. Jolene and Lincoln get into a car accident while she is distraught and driving the car.
She finds something out and is keeping a secret from Lincoln.

He's had it out with his dad and confronts his mom about his relationship with his dad and wonders about some family issues.
He also refuses to give up on his relationship with Jolene and her son.

We watch as they work through all their issues to find their way back to each other. Questions are answered but also some new ones to bring on the next story.
The epilogue and bonus epilogue are great and let us see the family a couple years later.

5 stars
Lisa has taken us on a roller coaster of emotions with twists and turns throughout this series but brings it all together with a HEA.

Rivalry
Rivalry is a great start to a new series. This is the first book I have read by this author, and I am so glad that I gave it a shot. The Vegas Aces is going to be a five-part series where we follow the relationship between Lincoln and Jolene. Lincoln has just been promoted to Head Coach for the Aces, and Jolene the head correspondent for the team. Even though Lincoln and Joelene dated when they were kids, his father got in the way, by his actions. The relationship between the two families lead to a rivalry like the Hatfield’s and McCoy’s.

I liked meeting all the characters in this first part; however, I wasn’t a fan of some of them. This was a good start to the series, I felt as though it was a bit rushed in the end and they are going to have things coming at them from multiple sides/sources. I can already tell they are going to have a lot to overcome, but maybe once they take outside influences out of the equation, they may be able to build something great. I am looking forward to reading Play Call.

4 stars

Play Call
Play Call picked up where the first book left off. Jolene and Lincoln are trying to fight their attraction to each other. Lincoln is trying to build his team and focus on his new job, only his thoughts and feelings for Jolene keep him distracted.

When a rival of Jolene is continuing to make things uncomfortable for them by threatening her, make them hesitant to give in to their feelings. The family rivalry is still going strong, and it leaves them not wanting to let their families down.

This book left us on a cliff hanger for book 3, Game Play, where their story will pick up. I feel there is going to be more drama.

4 stars

Game Play
So many secrets, so many many secrets. When they come up with an idea on how to be together but throw off outsiders, it is drastic enough it could work or it could blow up in their faces if the wrong person finds out.

We see the parents, The Bailey’s and the Nash’s, in the same room they cause a scene which could cause trouble for everyone. There is so many things that could happen since we have two more books to get through. I know I keep hoping for a happy ending for these two. I mean, it has been 2 decades.

4 stars

Overtime
When their relationship is revealed by a rival of Jolene’s, he not only posts pictures he took of them, but he also makes it sound like Lincoln is a cheater and hurts Jolene in the process. Now, because of the family rivalry the Bailey’s won’t speak to their daughter and it feels like her life and everything she has worked for is being taken away from her.

Lincoln and Jolene are overwhelmed with everything going on around them, it feels like there is always someone around the corner to tear them apart. Can the trust and love they have for one another keep them together or will a new secret come out tear them apart? They both still have a lot to juggle, and new things keep getting added. Their story is starting to get intense and a nail biter. This cliff hanger was really frustrating, because it really left you wanting more to find out what happens next. I am ready to find out if it is the end or if these two get their HEA.

4.5 stars

Final Score
Wow what an ending to this series. It was well worth the wait and there was so much to wrap up. I thought maybe there would be a few questions left unanswered, but they were all wrapped up. In Final Score, we pick up after Jolene found out a secret he had kept from her for the last two decades. He knows he messed up, but the thought of losing Joele again is breaking him. He wants to make it up to her, he doesn’t know how.

Joele is keeping a big secret from Lincoln, she isn’t sure how to tell him, or that she even wants to. Does keeping the secret make her a hypocrite? I love Sam in this situtaiton, she basically tells Joele to put her big girl panties on and do what is right.

I know that these two should be together, but will all the family drama and the outside forces continue to keep them apart? Or will they say, that they are worth it and ignore those forces? I really hope that these two families can put aside their differences and be there for them.

This was such a great series. It was a mix of family love and drama alike, so many emotional twists, and some humor as well. These characters grew over a lot over the course of the series which was great to see. I feel that because their story was drawn out over so many books that we got so much more than we normally would and it was so worth the annoyances of the frustrating cliff hangers. I really enjoyed and highly recommend this book and the entire series. I really came to love these characters and I am sad to leave them behind. I cannot wait to read this series again.

The Coach: A Vegas Aces Complete Series includes all five books: Rivalry, Game Call, Game Play, Overtime, and Final Score by Lisa Suzanne. Reading the series is an unfolding drama similar to a mini-series on TV, with cliffhangers in books 1 through 4 and a conclusion ending in a HEA in book five. This 5-book series follows next-door neighbors Lincoln Nash and Jolene Bailey, whose dads were NHL players and joint sports bar owners. Nash and Jolene were more than neighbors but young lovers who experienced all their firsts together until a tragedy tore the family apart when a play run by Lincoln's dad injured Jolene's dad, ruining his NFL career. The rival lines were drawn, which caused Lincoln to break up with Jolene. The breakup was a twenty-year gap where both Jolene and Lincoln tried to move forward with their lives. Nash went on to play pro football until an injury took him out of the game, and he became a coach hired by the Vegas Aces franchise to replace a beloved coach who had retired. Vegas is the same city that Jolene's family relocated to, where they opened a new sports bar named "The Gridiron." At the same time, divorced and single mom Jolene became a TV sports news correspondent for VG03, a local news channel in Vegas. Jolene was assigned to work exclusively with the Vegas Aces football team as their team correspondent. When Coach Nash sees her again in their first encounter, memories overwhelm him. Jolene's past hurt from the breakup resurfaces and feels suffocating. Due to family expectations on both sides, Jolene and Lincoln feel trapped when they want to dream about what their relationship could be if it weren't for family and job considerations driving their life decisions.
Family drama, interfering exes, and coworker jealousy for the coach and Jolene drive prickly barbs into their hearts. When the sparks flare again between Lincoln and Jolene, they decide to keep their relationship secret to protect their jobs and their families from finding out. The cooked-up scheme to pretend to date Jolene's roommate so they could continue their secret relationship caused a nasty fallout on social media and among all the players. Add in jealous coworkers where not just feelings get jacked out of shape, but blackmail is threatened. Then, the rivalry between the Nash and Bailey families is not just unjust and controlling; the fallout is destroying their relationships, lives, and jobs. As the drama and hits keep coming, Lincoln and Jolene must decide if they want to fight for each other or give in to all the pressures and give up. As The Coach series crescendos, events continue to unfold, book by book, with a wild ride HEA ending for Jolene and Linc in Final Score, the series' last book. Lisa Suzanne writes another masterpiece in sports romance that leaves the reader emotionally shaken, but all levels out when the HEA is finally realized.

The Coach: A Vegas Aces Complete Series!

Lincoln Nash is considered Football Royalty. Former NFL Tight End, currently the new Head Coach of the Vegas Aces. Living his long time dream yet battling internal demons. First born son, he has a lot of familial pressure on his shoulders, especially from his father.

Jolene Bailey is a Hard Working, Fierce, Feisty, Sassy, Single Mom. She's a Sports Reporter/Journalist and the newly minted correspondent for the Vegas Aces. It's her dream job and while sports journalism is considered a "Mans World", Jolene is determined to make her mark, but outside forces might have different ideas.

Lincoln & Jolene are former high school sweethearts. Thinking they would always be together, their young lives are destroyed by choices made by others and a decades long family feud tore them apart for twenty years. They built lives separate from one another, but they now find themselves forced to work closely together. Are they able put the past where it belongs & forge ahead? Will the tensions between them boil over and destroy both of their dreams?

Misunderstandings. Miscommunications. Anger and hurt. Accusations and insinuations. This journey will not be an easy one, but it'll be worth it. There is so much hurt, pain, anger & angst between these two. But ultimately you can feel the longing. The old feelings that never truly went away. Both stubbornly fighting the attraction between the two of them.

Can they find a way to be together without destroying their families? Their careers?
Can they overcome the obstacles in their way?

With lies, manipulations, deceit, jealousy, and blackmail coming from all angles, it all keeps piling up. Family dilemmas. Moral dilemmas. The uphill battle is becoming harder and harder to conquer.

With everything seemingly against them the one thing that hasn't changed? Love. But will it stand strong while everything comes crashing down? Time will tell... They may have been doomed from the very start.

Lincoln & Jolene are faced with so many mountains to climb, it's hard to see where one ends before the other begins. Just when they think they've conquered one, two more pop up in it's place.

They begin to question whether it's all worth it, when hit after hit comes at them, but ultimately choose "yes", even when their own families seem to play a part in the destruction and stick with one another through it all. Lies are told. Secrets revealed. Old hurts & new. Angst. Turmoil. Love...

What do you do when your entire world implodes? You fight. And you fight to win.

The journey of Lincoln & Jolene has been full of emotion. Highs, lows and everything in between. But a second chance for these two? It never looked so good!!! 💗

Wow! This box set was a rollercoaster. This couple kept taking hit after hit! But they finally got their HEA! I loved that it was a box set and could continuously keep reading. Especially for this series or made a lot of sense.

This was an amazing story! The push and pull of the characters. The internal battle of having to choose between love and family. It's fiction so it was a bit out there, but also extremely realistic with how families work and how hard it can be to free oneself from the clutches of family.

Jolene & Lincoln were childhood sweethearts that due to a family fued had to separate. Now 20 years later they claim to hate each other, but both are just denying the love that they have for each other.

Jolene has ever loved one person and had her heart broken at the age of 15. Years later she opens her heart once again and is once again broken, but this time she was blessed with the joy of her son Jonah. She just landed her dream job of Team Correspondent of the Vegas Aces. Being a women sports journalist isn't an easy task and had a hot ex to the mix the task just got a whole lot harder.

Jolene has been around football her whole life and loves the sport. Her being a sports journalist and focusing on football is the natural course of life, but she's had to fight nepotism and being a women in the field for years. Just when she's earned her dream job, she has to fight harassment from her rival and honestly her boss does the minimum(barely) to protect her. I was so happy when she finally decided she's had enough and go her own path and do something bigger and greater than she's done before!

Lincoln has done everything in his power to make his father proud of him, but he's never heard the words. At the age of 17 he broke Jolene's heart and his own for the sake of his father, played in the NFL and is now head Coach of the Vegas Aces and his father still isn't proud of him. Now with the love of his life back in his life, Lincoln must choice between his father and living a life he's wanted since first meeting Jolene.

Lincoln has always known his father was different to him, than to his brothers. He'd accepted that, but was still hurt by the lack of fatherly love. It was completely heartbreaking to see that even at the age of 36, you can still very much have your heart broken by your parent. I was so proud of him for finally choosing himself and his happiness! He had and still has a lot of healing to do, but I'm happy he's no longer alone and has Jolene to give him support.

Lisa Suzanne really knows how to grab on to you and not let go. The immediate chemistry, the angst, tension and secrets/lies wrapped up with spice made it hard to put down. I loved being able to read a complete series and not have to wait for the next book to come out so I really appreciate when the authors bundle them up.

Childhood sweethearts that were torn apart due to a family feud reconnect 20 years later in the most unexpected way. Lincoln grew up with the expectations that he would play football and nothing else was acceptable. He even gave up the girl at age 17 to get his father’s approval but it never happened. So when he got injured playing football, he knew it was the final straw for his toxic dad and he would never be good enough. However, Linc has it drilled into him to try to win his father’s approval so he was excited to be able to move onto coaching and still be involved in the game he loves. With the new team the Vegas Aces he has a lot to prove as the Head Coach.

Jolene has been around football forever and even dated a player but had her heartbroken at the age of 15 when he left her for the sport. She took another chance at love and it didn’t work out again but she was left with a son that was a blessing to her. As a sports journalist being a woman makes it that much more difficult to break into the careers as its very much a “boys club” mentality and sometimes that even came from ownership/management. Jolene fought through all of that and landed her dream job of being the Team Correspondent for the new team the Vega Aces.

When the new Head Coach and the new Team Correspondent see each other for the first time, I am not sure if the sparks were from the chemistry/attraction that they had or the surprise at seeing the other person 20 years later and can they keep things professional? This story follows the two as they navigate working together, falling back in love with each other, trying to hide their relationship, family drama that makes you want to scream and cliffhangers between the 5 books. Cheering from the sideline for Jolene and Lincoln to hang in there until the end to get their much deserved HEA! There was plenty of banter and steam along with all the football that we love but also other characters from Lisa Suzanne’s other books that make appearances. This author and book never lets me hanging and always delivers 5 stars!

The story starts at their wedding, where many of their guests were trying to stop them. But Luke does confess his real feelings to Ellie late but not too late on their wedding night.
After Luke and Ellie return they're determined to work at making their relationship real, no matter what.

End Game is book five and the epic conclusion to the series.
The last time for Luke and Ellie was this: Luke had just suffered a serious injury and has to recover from surgery. Luke is grumpy and making Ellie his doormat.

Rivalry - Another wonderful set of characters and another cliffhanger that will leave you wanting more. Lincoln and Jolene used to be best friends and lovers, but a cruel twist of fate left them on opposite sides and broken apart. Flash forward and the two now need to work together for the sake of both of their careers. Can enemies become friends? Or will the lust they still feel for each other get int he way? Lisa Suzanne once again draws the reader into the story and leaves them hanging and wanting more.

Play call - Just like a ride on a roller coaster, Jolene and Lincoln story continues with loads of twists and turns, hope and lies and above all else an attraction that just won’t let go. Each and every chapter takes the reader on an emotional journey and in the end, they are left wanting so much more. I cannot wait until this saga continues.

Game Play - Once again Lisa Suzanne continues with answers to one cliffhanger while absorbing more drama, truths and deceptions with another cliffhanger. Boy I do not know if my heart can take much more of this. So looking forward to the truths being revealed, the characters finding their HEA and for the story to continue.

Overtime - Things seem to be falling apart for Lincoln and Jolene with every turn of the page. Accusations of cheating, poor priorities and conflicts of interests make them wonder if it is all worth it. But in the end the bomb that the reader is left with will make them scream at their kindle and need the conclusion of the story ASAP. Lisa Suzanne once again writes a story that makes the pages keep turning and the emotions running high. Can't wait for book 5.

Final Score - Holy crap what a good ending. All betrayals are overcome, all past hurts are given an explanation and the reader is left with a full heart and the ending they have waited for. Lisa Suzanne once again packs a punch and throws her characters to the wolves only to resurrect them in a show stopping fashion. The little snippets of the books to come will make the reader hope for a quick turn around. cannot wait for the next series!!

Im so excited that this series is now in a complete set. This is a great story about second chances. Not taking that second chance for granted and doing whatever you need to do to make it work. Crossing a line..and that line being soo worth crossing! Below each book is separately reviewed!

Rivalry
🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈
A cute start to a new series. Two extremely strong personalities…two families that pretty much hate each other…two careers can be destroyed if this blows up. Jolene is a reporter and a single mother. She has worked very hard to get where she is and won’t let anyone get in her way…especially an ex boyfriend. Lincoln comes from a football family. They have all have had successful careers now he was just made head coach of the Vegas team. When Lincoln and Jolene see each other again after twenty years, they are definitely not excited to see each other….or are they. Can they work together and not kill each other? Will their family rivalry ever end? What happens when they realize that the pull they have towards each other is too strong to deny. How will this affect everyone around them? This is a cute read with a whole lot of drama. I’m ready for book two.

Play Call
🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈
Book 2 picked up just where we needed it to. Jolene and Lincoln are starting to cross that professional line…that can’t be uncrossed. Head coach Lincoln and sports reporter Jolene have soo many things working against them. Their jobs, her family and his family…this can get really ugly pretty quickly. But Jolene comes up with a plan that involves her best friend. Will this truly work or is this a hot mess Waiting to happen. I’m all in waiting to see how this all plays out. I think These grown adults with real life problems need to put their foot down when it comes to their parents demands. We need to get over the family drama already!! I’m ready for book 3…bring on the drama.

Game Play
🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈
Well this is getting more interesting! Book three brings us even more drama. Jolene and Lincoln are still trying to keep their relationship as secret as possible. Unfortunately people are figuring it out and they are not being nice about it. What happens when not only their families find out but the press. Will all this sneaking around be worth it? Besides their drama we are getting some other interesting family drama thrown into the mix which is making this ohhh so much more entertaining. We are cheering this couple on…but what will happen next? This is a well layered read with great characters. Bring on the next book!

Overtime
🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈
Oh this story! Oh the secrets! Just when you think everything is on the table…you’re wrong! Jolene and Lincoln’s secret is out and boy is it messy. How will this affect their families? How will this affect their jobs? These two are extremely overwhelmed because it seams like everyone is working against them. Can their pull towards each other and the love they share be enough? Lincoln had enough to juggle in this book and it keeps getting more complicated. Jolene’s life isn’t a walk in the park either. This book was a page turner just like the others in this series. The books are fast paced and the characters are large then life and have a lot going on. The cliffhanger had me thinking noooo…I’m ready for the conclusion of this series! Bring on the final book.

Final Score
🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈
The conclusion we have patiently been waiting for! What a conclusion it was! It was filled with drama, humor and oh so much love! We pick up with Lincoln knowing he messed up. He kept a big secret and what is he going to do to make it up to Jolene?! He knows he loves her and has loved her since he was a teenager. He wants to make this up to her and her family but how. Jolene is keeping a few secrets of her own. Does this make her a hypocrite? We want these two together but boy is there a lot of family drama and dysfunction between these two families. This was the perfect conclusion to this fun series. It was a great mix of drama, emotional twist and turns and some laugh out loud humor. I had a lot of fun with these characters and enjoyed reading this series. I look forward to seeing what this author will bring us next.

please note that the trigger warnings and topes/themes may contain spoilers
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
HEA: yes
POV: dual 1st person POV
spice: several open-door spicy scenes
TWs: cheating (not between MCs), stalking, blackmail, workplace harassment, sexual harassment, injury resulting in job loss, sexism, gambling addiction, underage sex (not described), manipulation, divorce
standalone: all 5 books (plus a prequel, epilogue, and bonus epilogue!!) of The Coach: A Vegas Aces Series
final thoughts: WHAT. A. RIDE! Lisa Suzanne knows how to keep you on the edge of your seat with the angst, the tension, and the cliffhangers! Having all 5 books in 1 was perfect because if I needed to wait for the next installment of Jolene and Lincoln I might’ve lost my mind. The cliffhangers were so well done and left me wanting and needing to find out more.
The tension was perfect, the twists and turns were surprising, and the HEA was fought for and well deserved. This was a great enemy to lovers, second chance, forbidden romance with lots of workplace drama and spice.

Sports Romance
Enemies to Lovers
Forced Proximity
Workplace
Second chance romance
Romeo and Juliet vibes

I have always appreciated Lisa Suzanne and her sports series because she is kind enough to rapid release each book, so we don't have to wait too long. The only thing better than that is having them all together in one! I remember Lincoln's introduction from Travis's series and was intrigued by the brief glimpse we got. He definitely does not disappoint. Each of our main characters are members of rival families and there is a lot of backstory that provides many layers to the plot of this story. Both Jolene and Lincoln begin working for the Vegas Aces football team, him as the head coach and her as a correspondent for the team. This is extremely inconvenient for both as their families are bitter enemies after some business and personal dealings went very bad forcing these childhood sweethearts apart.
There are so many factors in this story that will keep you intrigued. Jolene has professional rivals who are looking to discredit her in the most horrible ways. Lincoln's family is beyond bitter and are putting pressure on him to stay far away from Jolene, which is not possible due to their jobs. They each have secrets they want to keep, both from each other and from their families. Jolene is formidable as a strong, independent FMC. Lincoln is also very headstrong and bound and determined to prove himself to his father which causes problems all on its own.
Lisa Suzanne never fails in the sports romance trope as she pays a lot of attention to the game itself which does get lost in a lot of other books in this genre. She also weaves a story with highly interesting plot points that will keep you turning page after page.

Overall, I really enjoyed this series. It was funny, cute, spicy, and emotional. It was also a bit lengthy, but it was so worth it! I love Jolene and Lincoln's relationship, and all the other side characters' parts too. Everyone added excitement, twists, and beautiful moments in the book.

Rivalry, the first book, felt a little slow for me, but I still enjoyed the plot and found it interesting. It was a nice introduction into the series, and I really got to find out more about their family feud. I'm definitely on the Bailey's side because of Lincoln's dad. I hope the truth comes out!! I also loved the tension between Lincoln and Jolene, I can't wait to read further!

Play Call
I really enjoyed reading this one! A lot definitely happened, which made it so exciting. It was frustrating but understandable because of everything they were going through, and I was so happy when they finally decided to give in. I'm worried about what's to come though with everything happening!
(one bed trope>>)

Game Play
It just keeps getting better and better omg!! I'm 100% rooting for Jolene and Lincoln. I hope they get everything they deserve, they've been through so much. But, I'm also waiting for the truth to come out, and for something to happen with all that. I loveee Sam and Ellie!

Overtime
I really liked this one, but I was also so frustrated with the amount of problems that kept arising, not only between Lincoln and Jolene, but in general too.

Final Score
This series was a rollercoaster, and I loved every second of it! I also loved the way everything was resolved in this final book.

Penalty
This is a prequel, and I loved the insight into a crucial event in Jolene and Lincoln's lives.

Thank you for the gifted copy!

Obsessed. Second Chances. Redemption. I need this as a 5 part limited series.

Plot: 5 📍
Spice: 3 🔥
Overall: 5 ⭐

I cried, I laughed, I giggled, I (mentally) flopped back on my bed while kicking my feet up in the air!

Oh my heart - the slow burn, the tension, the testing of what's appropriate for family bonds vs what's manipulative... This book was fantastic! I loved just about every minute of it!

In the beginning, our FMC Jolene teetered heavily towards "straight up b*tch" instead of "strong, independent, confident woman" but thankfully, that pulled back. Jolene's a go-getter. She's a woman in a male dominated field, twice over. So I understand why her character is the way it is.

Lincoln, our MMC, sweet man. He starts out so strong, so confident, despite the dark secret he's forced to carry (not a spoiler!) and the struggle he has to overcome past trauma is heartwrenching.

Thankfully, Jo & Linc act as the power couple they come to be with plenty of emotionally charged speed bumps along the way. Intrigue, plot twists, storyline "what nows?!?"... it's all here. I did feel there was a little repetitive dialogue by both the MMC & FMC regarding the whole "in the past, this that blah, blah, blah." That might have been because this was originally 5 separate books?

I received this omnibus as an advanced copy from Valentine PR & Ms. Lisa Suzanne. I'd never had the opportunity to read her work before and you'd better believe this will absolutely not be the last! I can't wait to go back and read her other books and find out what happens to Linc Nash's other brothers!

I adored Lisa Suzanne’s Unbreakable Thread duet and have been meaning to read more of the author’s work. The duet hit me hard, and I went into The Coach with high expectations because of it, yet I struggled with The Coach from the start.

One of my biggest pet peeves is stories that are split into multiple short parts unnecessarily, dragging them out across three or more ‘books’ when a single book is enough. The Coach suffered heavily from this. From the start, things dragged, things were repeated far too much, and unnecessary elements were added as padding. Due to this, I never felt anything for the characters or the story. I was ready for an intense read that hit with the same emotions that grabbed me when reading the Unbreakable Thread duet, yet they never hit. I had to force myself to keep reading because I felt like nothing was happening for half the story and the other half was repetition of what had already been stated. It made the characters annoying, which was followed by me losing all interest despite the occasional flicker of there being something buried within the story.

All in all, this was one of those cases where I was not the right reader for the type of story. I really should have done more digging into this before reading, as I did not realise it was five ‘books’ combined into one. If I had investigated fully and come across that, instead of allowing my general curiosity to win, it would have alerted me to the trigger of my pet peeve and saved me from going in expecting a couple of books combined.

The Coach: A Vegas Aces Complete Series
I waited for this to come out as a complete series and I was so glad I did because this really is an emotional roller coaster of a ride. I highly recommend this amazing read to all sports romance lovers. Lincoln Nash and Jolene Bailey were childhood sweethearts who always thought they would be forever until families forced them apart.
Lincoln is football royalty he is a former NFL tight end and is now living his dream as the head coach to the Vegas Aces.
Jolene is a strong, sassy, hard working single mum who has just got her dream job as correspondent for the Vegas Aces. Trying to forge her way as a sports reporter in a man’s world has been tough and she is not prepared to let Lincoln ruin it for her.
So what happens now that this couple are back in the same town and both single…..Will the choices made in their youth ruin their future and will their families decided what’s best for them now they are adults.
One click to find out.
The Coach is an emotional roller coaster that’s full of highs and lows, there are twists and turns you don’t see coming but it’s a journey that’s also full of love and determination. This is a journey that’s full of misunderstanding, miss communication, lies and deception and let’s not forget the blackmail. Lisa Suzanne knows what her fans love and for me she is the queen of sports romance because this read will keep you on the edge of your seat and you will have no idea what the future holds until the final line is read. Loved every word of this amazing read.

I don't understand how anyone could read this in separate books. I would have torn off my arm waiting to find out what continues in the next book, now imagine that… but it's five books, it's too much
.
So my recommendation is, put on your comfiest pants, the softest hoodie, box of tissues aside and get ready for the trip. Because girl, I was on a mission, nothing was going to come between me and this book until I got to the end of this story
.
This is the story of Lincoln Nash and Jolene Bailey divided into five segments and thank goodness they are united in one book now
.
Lincoln is about to get his dream job as general coach of a great football team, the Las Vegas Aces, and in the midst of all that adrenaline he encounters the woman he left behind twenty years ago, Jolene Bailey.
.
His first love, the only woman with whom he thought of having everything else with
.
Before his parents fell out, before their parents that were neighbors, best friends, teammates, and business partners became enemies and their worlds were completely separated from each other.
.
Jolene Bailey is a sports reporter and after years of effort she lands the position of exclusive correspondent for her favorite team, the Las Vegas Aces.
.
The only low point is that she will have direct contact with the person who broke her heart and the number one enemy of her family Lincoln Nash
.
Now you have an image of the dilemma, but the banter, the angst and the slow burn is so good that when they burn, they really do it
.
But the family feud is not the only problem they have to deal with, Lincoln has just started working as a coach and must prove that he deserves his place, and with a team full of retiring players and new ones to train it is difficult to create a solid team
.
For Jolene, the situation is difficult in other way, because she must navigate a world of men who assume that she did not earn her position the fair way and, above all, a particular colleague who is her ex best friend , who is set out to discover what is happening between the new coach and her and wants to take her position
.
From then on, in each book/part new problems happen, a fake dating that is not between the protagonists, third parties getting involved to generate doubts but mostly jealousy between them and every time the Nashes and Bailey cross paths someone gets hurt. Plot twist after plot twist you are hooked on Jolene and Lincoln love story, from the most heartbreaking parts to the most heartwarming ones.
.
Sport romances lovers, especially football fans, you will love how Lisa Suzane goes into detail about the plays and decisive moments of the game, the detail in the descriptions of someone who really loves the sport and loves writing love stories in her head while she enjoys it, at least that's how I imagine her.

Thanks to Lisa Suzanne and Valentine pr for give me a copy of this beautiful book in exchange for my honest and voluntary opinion

The Coach Complete Set
Lisa Suzanne
What could be better than being able to binge these 5 stories as a complete set. I read all of the books individually one by one, cliffhangers and all when they were first released and I loved every instalment of Linc and Jo!
Back in my football era.
“Maybe it’s time to be a little reckless.”
Twenty years after heartbreak finds Lincoln and Jolene facing off across a room.
“Maybe that’s his deal… he simply moved on while I’ve been stuck holding onto this giant suitcase filled with a grudge that sometimes feels so heavy it’s going to knock me clean off my feet.”
Lincoln is the Vegas Aces new head coach, football royalty to the core, a tight end who blew his knee way too early. Jolene was his first at 17 right before it all exploded. Their families now enemies after being so close. She is now a sports journalist just promoted to cover the team exclusively. Will either of them survive.
Love that Jack, JD5, and the crew make appearances but also this book brings a whole new set of families and supporting characters to the mix.
Like all books in this franchise we know the past really brings the crazy with previous dubious choices raising their heads.

In the end a sweet love story with drama and spice, lots of twists and a few unexpected surprises. What’s not to love!

I received an arc of this book.

✨️eARC Review✨️

5/5 ⭐️
2.5/5 🌶

A family feud ripped Jolene and Lincoln apart. 20 years later, she's hired as the Vegas Aces new media correspondent at the same time he's hired as the new head coach. When they can't fight their connection and start dating in secret, the reasons they can't be together keep stacking up against them, including the secrets they're still keeping from each other.

I've previously read this series through Wordsmith Publicity when Lisa had the series split into 5 books. When Valentine PR announced signups through them as one book with a bonus prequel, I signed up all over again because I really enjoyed this story and wanted to promote it again! Just when Jolene and Lincoln start to make progress in healing their past and building a relationship, something or someone always interferes. Finally, Lincoln is sick of the secrets as well as sticking by his father who never once praises him for all his accomplishments or what he's given up to get there. When Lincoln chooses Jolene & Jonah instead of his family and they are completely honest with each other about the past, their story really falls into place.

Tropes:
✔️ Pro Football Romance
✔️ Secret Relationship
✔️ Enemies to Lovers
✔️ Second Chance
✔️ Romeo & Juliet Vibes
✔️ One Bed
✔️ Head Coach/Media Correspondent
✔️ Single Mom
✔️ Fake Relationship

Let's dive in, the story of Jolene and Lincoln spans through 5 books in the complete set of The Coach. I will say I was intrigued with the family rivals a la Romeo and Juliet, well minus you the whole ending of that story. The prequel and book one caught my attention and I couldn't put it down. They are short chapters and you just breeze through them.

I liked the fact that we get older MC's (in their 30s) no matter how much time apart since the incident that tore their friendship turned relationship apart those feelings were still there and the urge not to give in caused some tension. The Correspondent and The Coach, both new in their roles and both of them trying to show that they earned the positions. Throw in family drama, secrets and you got yourself something I'm gonna enjoy.

But after book 1 it started to become repetitive. I felt like I had to push myself through it, yes there were parts that I liked then came repetitiveness, the doubt, the is this worth it and so on. It just kept going and it was got me saying yes, we know..how many more times will this be mentioned.

In the end it was on OK read for me. I would have liked a bit more to the whole forbidden romance.

The Coach Series 4.5 stars

I loved getting to jump back into the Vegas Aces world this time with the coach!! Jolene and Lincoln’s story is an enemies to lovers, second chance romance and I was immediately hooked on them.

Jolene is a single mom who gets her dream job to report on the Vegas Aces at the same time that Lincoln takes over as the head coach of the team. These two have a bad history between their families which caused a rift in their relationship and them to part ways. Years later when their paths cross again they still have that spark, chemistry and are unable to fight the tension between them.

I loved seeing these two find their way back together and fight for their happiness despite the many obstacles and enemies they have in their way. These two and everything they have to overcome will for sure out your heart through the wringer but you can’t help but root for them to find the happiness they both deserve.

If you love your sports romances spicy and angsty pick this one up for sure. Jolene and Lincoln were a fun couple to read and I loved every page of their emotional journey.
