Meu chefe me viu comprando "suco mágico" on-line...
Ele quer me engravidar à moda antiga...
O bebê do rei do crime é um romance doce e picante com uma diferença de idade e um casamento falso entre uma heroína inocente e um herói bilionário obcecado e possessivo.
Evie Rose writes gleefully improbable bitesized instalove romances, with heroes who are all-in obsessed for their heroines.
She loves possessive alpha heroes, age gap, tons of spice, forced proximity, pining, and swoony romantic bits. She's the darker alter-ego of bestselling author Eve Pendle.
Perfect novella 👌. Best one from this author, for me at least, and I read quite a few of her books.
It had the perfect formula: mutual pining, obsessive behavior, mine mine mine, breading 🥵🥵.
She needed help, and he definitely saved her. Or better said he saves them both from a lonely life. They really fit together perfectly 🫢🥵🧡.
Their little game they played daily was just perfect for them to spend time together and get to know each other.
Did it annoy me a little bit the fact that it took them a year long for them to finally be pushed together!? It sure did. But I was glad that the cards finally were thrown and all the secret mutual loving (yes, they loved each other at that point) was revealed.
The drama and dangerous situation with that other mafia guy was quite weird and OTT, but whatever, it was what pushed them together, and the H definitely delivered in making him pay. Applause, Applause.
What to expect - mafia boss / employee - marriage of convenience - sure, just in their minds, for about 5 minutes 🤭🤣 - OTT stalking and obsessive behavior, but only because he couldn't stand not knowing her safe 🥹❤️ - V h, age gap (about 20 years, I think), unknown past for him but he's definitely hooked up on her from the first moment they met, so I'd say he'd been faithful for that one year he stalked her; I bet my kindle on it 🤣🤣 - heavy on the breading side - HEA, extra epilogue by mail (don't skip it)
I just finished Kingpin Baby short, sweet, and spicy. It’s got that dark romance vibe: possessive, stalkerish, age-gap, mafia kingpin energy. I listened to it on Audible while making dinner and it was perfect for that.
Verdict: it felt like an appetizer. super enjoyable but left me wanting more. Evie Rose, I see you girl! Loved this short story.
5/5 Stolen. Deniable. I love her so damn much. I know I shouldn't, but I crave her.
TROPES: ~mafia ~boss x employee ~marriage of convenience ~age gap ~stalker ~breeding
PLOT: Jasper Booth is a part of the London Mafia Syndicate. Ren is a cleaner who cleans his office daily. They met one year ago and it was love at first sight for both of them. But Jasper doesn't think he's worthy, and Ren doesn't think she's good enough. When she's threatened, he comes to her rescue and offers her a marriage of convenience. It's all of her dreams come true. But will they only last the allotted time frame of six months?
THOUGHTS: Jasper Booth... be still my beating heart. He loves Ren so much. He turned into a bit of a stalker during their year of knowing each other, which I loved. Ren, sweet Ren, isn't convinced the marriage will last in the beginning and she offers him something they both want - a baby. I loved this so much. Evie Rose is such a talented author. Each of her stories is different but they leave you with a warm feeling inside. Especially the extended epilogues she offers! 5 bright, beautiful stars.
SAFETY: Ages: 22h, older H Virgin/celibate?: virgin heroine, not a manwhore hero OM/OW?: no Cheating/sharing?: no Triggers: dubcon, death of a side character Kinks: breeding, cockwarming, dirty talk/"good girl", hand necklaces, rough sex HEA? yes, of course! a very beautiful one <3
A 79-page instalove novella is just what I needed to get me out of the slump that I was in—no need for my brain to overthink things. Jasper and Ren got straight to it. Age gap and an OTT/JP mafia boss that immediately falls hard and fast. Ren, a virginia, rolls with it—wedding and everything. Evie Rose has her recipe down for her wealthy silver fox MMC, who must make babies and put this one there.

Marry the kingpin. Stay alive. Try not to fall in love.
Ren (h22) cleans mafia kingpin Jasper Booth’s (H44) office every morning and tosses him moral hypotheticals disguised as casual conversation. One day, she brings him a dilemma a little too close to real. His answer isn’t donuts or death this time. It’s marriage.
It’s supposed to be fake. Just legal protection. No strings. But sharing space, his bed, and his protection starts to blur everything Ren thought she understood.
What she doesn’t know is that Jasper’s been watching her for a while, and six months was never going to be enough for him. Once things turn physical, there’s no pretending for either of them.
What starts as survival turns into obsession, and then something deeper. Ren wants more than safety. She wants Jasper. Love, intimacy, family, all of it.
He won’t let go. Not after everything. And if Ren wants to hold on, she’ll have to risk everything she is to meet him in the middle.
Ren grows more confident and sure of herself as Jasper unravels piece by piece. Together, they balance fire and softness, control and care, obsession and devotion.
An ultra-hot, mafia-lite age gap romance with protective alpha energy, off-the-charts steam, and just the right amount of danger. Love born from survival, identity shaped by trust, and a found family forged in flame.
Cleo Pope and Bastian Allen deliver a strong duet performance that brings the story to life. Pope captures Ren’s vulnerability and quiet strength with emotional nuance, while Allen’s deep, commanding tone perfectly matches Jasper’s intensity and control. Their chemistry enhances both the tension and tenderness of the story. The British accents add authenticity, and the clean audio quality makes for a smooth, immersive listen.
I absolutely loved the audiobook! Bastien Allen, who narrated Jasper, has such an addictive voice that I found myself wanting to keep listening just for him. Honestly, the only “negative” thing I can say is that there wasn’t enough of him. Please give me more Jasper in that voice!
As for the story, I knew going in that it was a novella, but it still felt too short. I wanted more of Ren and Jasper’s story, more build up, more moments between them. For a kingpin, Jasper didn’t have much time to really show his dangerous, feared side, and I missed that intensity. Instead, we jumped pretty quickly into the baby making (fun, but still 😅), and before I knew it, it was over.
It left me feeling like a bad, selfish hookup fun while it lasted, but I felt used and abandoned when it ended hahaha 🙈 I just wanted more in every way.

I beg the Kingpin for help… He demands marriage in return.
Evie Rose shows us how to write a GOOD novella in Kingin’s Baby!! This is a spicy marriage of convenience, mafia romance heavy in breeding.
Tropes: age gap, billionaire hero, mafia boss stalker hero, obsessed and possessive hero, breeding, forbidden, marriage of convenience, he calls her princess, boss - employee, spicy, steamy, dubcon for him, face sitting, hand necklace, he plugs her to keep his come inside her, cock warming, touch her and die
Ren (22)/ Jasper (double her age/ exact age unknown)
Jasper Booth is a mafia boss and secretly in love with his housekeeper, 22 year old Ren. Each morning since they met they play a game they call “death or donuts” where she reads him a question from her advice group she’s apart of and they try to figure out the response together. When one day she comes to him with a dire problem that involves her his answer is to marry her to help her and secretly so he can finally have and keep her.
Do not talk to Mr Booth. Do not annoy Mr Booth. Do not vacuum clean in the same room as Mr Booth. Do not touch anything on Mr Booth’s desk. Do not ask what happened to the previous cleaner. Those last two? Very important. Mr Harvey emphasised them several times.
Ren was hired to clean Jasper Booth’s office and has been doing so for a year. She’s also fallen in love with him but keeps that to herself realizing that the kingpin would never go for her. Until she’s threatened and he offers marriage to protect her. Loved this story, fast and steamy, love their game of donuts or death and love the morally gray hero. Great story.
I'm really enjoying this hot lil morsels that Evie has ready for nap time snacks! (If you don't catch this joke, then these novellas may be too much for you!)
Just get all her quick reads, and you will be very happy!
1.5 stars rounded up (because I finished it, though it doesn't deserve it) Dear God, the mafia was surely romanticized in this one! Plus the heavy infantilization of fMC made the relationship kinda gross. It was very short, otherwise I wouldn't have finished it.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Super cute, quick read. Even though this was a short novella I found that I fell in love with both MCs which can be hard to do in such a short book
Ren has been a cleaner for Jasper for a year & each morning they play a game of death or doughnut. However one morning Ren tells her own story & Jasper’s solution is a marriage of convenience. A whirlwind wedding, the vows seem to be sincere but will they part ways after six months? Another delicious novella Jasper is twice Ren’s age but she steadies him & he’s only too happy to marry her & she’s only too happy to accept as both have been in love with each other for a while. I loved their journey to a HEA & loved the epilogue. My review is for a special copy I voluntarily read
The way they longed for each other not thinking anything would ever happen 🥹
Ren is a literal sweetheart, she can do no wrong in my eyes. Jasper is a badass kingpin who seems cold and emotionless but secretly has a side to him only Ren sees. SWOON. 😍
This is a quick, sexy read! One thing about this author is she loves insta loves/lust and over the top, crazy men. If you Like mafia stories and breeding kink, this is definitely the novella for you.
I absolutely LOVED it!!! Ren and Jasper are true soulmates 🩷 I loved their instant connection and the Donuts or Death game! You could feel the love they had for each other!! The smexy times were so freaking HOT🔥🔥🔥 Love when he says MY WIFE… Swoooon! The breeding is also hot as sin! My favorite story by Evie!!! Well done! Highly highly recommend it!!!
Audiobook Review
The narrators really brought this story to life and made it even more HOT!!! I listened to it in one sitting and didn’t want it to end!!! They are so talented and were perfect for Ren and Jasper🩷 I’ll definitely be listening to this again and again🔥
Ren is an orphan and works for a kingpin in London as a cleaner. Jasper is in love with his cleaner Ren, but he thinks he is too old and dangerous for her. When she needs help with an immigration officer, Jasper asks her to marry him. The marriage of convenience he proposed is just the thing to bind her to him forever 😏 Instalove, age gap, boss/employee, steamy, romantic and safe with a sweet HEA and no drama😍😍😍😍😍
Jasper and Ren's story was lovely and sweet- from Marriage of Convenience and Secret Pining to True Love and a HEA that was very much deserved! Looking forward to the next book
Kingpin’s Baby is a short novel about mafia boss Jasper and his cleaning lady Ren. The story takes place in London and the time span is a year. Every morning Jasper and Ren play a game of donuts or death, where they talk about something that has happened and what the result should be for the person in the wrong: should they be sent donuts or be killed. They have both been secretly in love with each other, and he borders on the obsessive as he secretly stalks her to keep her safe.
One night she is visited by a dirty official from the Immigration Office. Ren came to London as a baby and her paperwork was lost as she got passed from foster home to foster home as a child. The official says she is in the country illegally since she cannot produce the paperwork and he is going to deport her unless she pays him a million pounds. He says he is backed by the mafia. Of course, she doesn’t have that kind of money, so he suggests she steal it from her boss. Stealing will get her death by her mafia boss and not stealing the money will get her death by the crooked official. She brings this problem to her boss in the form of the death or donuts game, and Jasper offers her another option – marry him. They do eventually get their HEA but you are going to have to read the story to figure out how they get there.
The author has fleshed out the characters into a well-written cast of redeemable and loveable persons that you want to cheer for. The story is well-paced without fast or slow spots and the editing was also good. The age gap isn’t dwelled on as the characters are very compatible, with her being an old soul and him being young at heart. This is a mafia lite story because most of the violence happens off the pages. You know it is happening, but it is mostly not discussed. Not a lot of cuss words or dirty language and the spice level is low. If considered possible, this is a sweet mafia story. Overall, a very enjoyable read. Fans of age gap, mafia lite, billionaire, workplace romance, instalove, marriage of convenience, and HEA tropes will enjoy this book.

Kingpin's Baby, Book 2 of the Tender Vows series, was about 44-year-old Jasper Booth, the kingpin of the Fulham Mafia, and 22-year-old Renee "Ren" Smith, a cleaner (translated as maid/housekeeper/janitor).
Ren had been working for Jasper for over a year. Both she and Jasper had fallen in love with each other, but neither of them had ever said a word about their feelings. So when a rival mafia faction chose to blackmail Ren, she did the only thing she could. She had been approached one night after work and was threatened with either being deported or killed if she did not steal a million pounds from her mafia boss. She was warned not to tell him or this other mafia would have her eliminated. However, she chose to hypothesize with him regarding her dilemma and have him tell her how to solve her problem. When he did, it was the last thing she expected from him. What he offered was marriage. When she asked him if it would be one of convenience and in-name-only, with no falling in love, he said yes. What she didn't know was that he had already done that at some point during the time they had known each other.
This was a short but sweet mafia story about two people who were the most unlikely couple, but it worked for them...and this book. The angst and drama levels were low to medium, but with enough tension and spice to keep the reader's attention.
While the story was micro-short, it had everything readers of such novellas look for. It was enough to earn a three-star rating. I would have given it a higher rating, but the grammatical errors were a detraction from the storyline and plot.
Part of the Tendered Vows A Marriage of Convenience each can be read as a standalone with a dangerous sexy and the one who captures his undivided attention so make sure to double check that you are buckled up, dangerous men, alpha’s personified, possessive, oh, gorgeous, brooding all the makings of a story consisting with three D’s (dark, delicious, and dirty) 😊. There will be suspense, betrayal, death, darkness, secrets reveled, violence, hope, forgiveness, and maybe even love along the way. Ren is sweet works for a very dangerous man but follows all instructions given doesn’t step out of line so he keeps her on as his cleaner, she enjoys working for him their interaction is unique he bounces ideas off of her, and she gives him another prospect of seeing things trust is the one thing they have with one another. Jasper sexy as all get out mob boss isn’t a man you want upset with you or you want to owe something to, he is dangerous, ruthless, deadly every day, and has a thing for the much younger women who cleans for him, she makes him feel things he hasn’t felt in a long while enjoys tossing ideas off of her. So when she is in trouble and needs his help not realizing she just gave him the opening he needed to get close to her so proposing a fake marriage to keep her residency only thing it doesn’t feel fake for either of them but will they be honest with one another, will he set the rival family straight for threatening her, and can they find something more between them despite the age difference?
