"And a girl born of the stars gambled with fate. She sacrificed herself and jumped after him."

Oracles are like stunning and valuable. In times of chaos and war, they're priceless. And they're known to succumb to the temptations of wealthy, powerful men.

And the King who conquered three kingdoms wants to find the fated oracle chosen of the stars.

And not just because she'll be beautiful. But because she is destined to do more than just see the future...

She might be able to influence it.

Samara has lived a sheltered, privileged life with her war-hero father and her famous philosopher step-mother. She is equal parts brilliance and beauty, or so her parents say. She's been taught her entire life about the violent secrets of the new King of Amaranthine.

When Samara is finally summoned to the royal court by decree, her father's worst fears are realized. The King and his philandering son will see the beautiful oracle that he's been hiding.

Samara can sense the figures in the shadows and feel the darkness. She decides quickly that she will never become the King's oracle pet, his manipulated play-thing, like the two malevolent women he already controls.

The ruthless King plans to lure the prophesied oracle into an alliance, using the enticement of marriage to his beautiful, captivating son Prince Adriel.

The King wants to take the entire continent, but he needs the chosen oracle and her loyalty to help him defeat his greatest threat, the only man standing in his The horrifying monster with the face of a skull, Nox the merciless Warlord.

Samara will have to ignore her heart and face the harsh realities of a kingdom filled with corrupt men who will stop at nothing to find her.

And coming face to face with the worst villain of all, the bone-chilling, legendary Warlord Nox, might change everything she has ever believed in.

Kingdom of Oracles is the first book in a new series of shocking twists, heart-wrenching love triangles, and the journey of one courageous woman fighting against the darkness found in the hearts of mankind. This book contains some language, violence, and description of sexual assault. Perfect for fans of Throne of glass.

I am not one to write reviews, but this original novel by Megan Kreuger is excellent! I cannot wait to find out what happens to Sam, and the Six Kingdoms in the sequel to “Kingdom of Oracles”! This fantasy world, with warring, corrupt characters, makes it hard for Samara to know who to trust. The book starts out with vivid descriptions of the backstory, leading up to Samara’s present day life. The character development shows her strength, empathy, and resilience to the challenges that come along. Her sense of self worth, authenticity, and love of family and home, drives her in making decisions that may change the course of the Kingdoms, predicted by the Oracles. In addition to the action and suspense of the land, there is romance. Samara has had little interest in marriage, happy to be independent, and with her family. As the story progresses, not only is she challenged by current events, wanting to evade prophecy and politics, but also by her warring emotions. Will Samara choose the Prince, the Warlord, or her home? Will she contribute to fulfilling or changing prophecy? This book was so well written, it captured my attention, and I couldn’t put it down. I have a book hangover! I have no idea what to read, while waiting to find out what Samara does next. I am so impatient with cliffhangers, and wanting to continue reading. This still gets 5 stars!

4.5 Stars – Fast-paced, immersive, and full of heart

Kingdom of Oracles by Megan Krueger was such a thrilling read! The plot was engaging from the start, with twists that genuinely surprised me and kept the pace moving quickly. I really appreciated the character development—each one felt layered and real, with arcs that made me care deeply about what happened to them. The romance was well done and emotionally compelling, and the magic system was both creative and easy to follow. The world building struck a great balance: not overly detailed, but still vivid and immersive.

The only reason I’m not giving a full 5 stars is that the language occasionally felt inconsistent with the story’s time period, which pulled me out of the narrative at times. That said, it didn’t take away from my overall enjoyment. This is a strong start to what I hope will be a fantastic series, and I’m excited to see where it goes next!

Can’t Wait for Book 2

I absolutely loved Kingdom of Oracles! The story is amazing, and the writing does a great job of bringing this vivid world and its characters to life. While there were moments where the main character's shifts in feelings felt a bit too quick for my taste, her overall portrayal more than made up for it. Her intelligence, strength, and the perfect sprinkle of sass (without overdoing it) made her incredibly relatable and fun to follow.

The love interests add an intriguing layer to the narrative, each unfolding in ways that kept me hooked till the end. And yes, I'm totally looking forward to seeing how their stories develop in book 2. If you're on the hunt for a new fantasy romance with a strong protagonist and compelling love interests, this book is a must!

Wow.. just wow. This book was by far one of the best well written slow burns I have read in a long time. Not to mention between two MMCs. Having to choose between one or the other. Wow! The world building and magic system is truly so unique I was pleasantly surprised. Megan has done a phenomenal job building a slow burn with rising tensions. I loved it. Not to mention the stakes get bigger and bigger! By the end of the book you are sitting on the edge of your seat. I can’t wait to see what’s next for our main character, Samara, in book 2!

To be fair, this is my third time reading it.
I really enjoy the character development and plot twists along the way. The descriptive writing is unique and really allows your imagination to visualize Samara.
And let’s talk about Nox?the more the story unfolds, the BETTER his character develops 🥰🥰🥰

it was okay

Story was definitely unique but hard to get into with almost too much detail. Ending was left on a good ( so bad for me) cliff hanger. Over all I’d read the next book but I would wait in line for it.
