Thought this was a good opportunity to try this author, but i’m not sure i’m going to read more if i’m honest.
It’s probably a case of it’s me,but it didn’t give me what i was hoping for.
Don’t get me wrong, the blurb sounded good, and it did have it’s moments.
But i got tired of Willow…..

Sure, she’s been through a lot,but why move back home if you have no good reasons to do so?
Especially if you haven’t dealt with everything that happened there?
And you’re not ready to see anyone from that time, not your parents, the men that hurt you so badly,or the man that raped you?
Or the father of your child who abandoned you when you needed him most?
A job isn’t something that would convince me to go back, not if being back would have such an impact on me……
All she did,was constantly looking over her shoulder for the people that hurt and betrayed her.
The way she was portrayed only made her sound like she didn’t grow a spine…..it didn’t feel like she really fought or stood up for herself imho.

Rogue may have been a man that i hated at first, but at least he grew up.
He knew he’d been wrong,he should’ve protected her from what happened, but he didn’t.
And he’d felt guilty ever since….
Yes,he could’ve gone after her,and he didn’t.
He blamed his MC,but he also knew he didn’t stop them.
But once he got the chance, once he knew she was back, with his child,he did everything he could to make things right.
He was happy to simply be with his daughter, and he was patient with Willow, letting her decide where they’d go from here.
He knew she needed time, didn’t trust him anymore, and he was grateful to even be allowed to spend time with them.
And when danger came knocking, again,he protected her as much as he could.

In my eyes,Rogue made the story for me.
Ok,he drank a lot after everything that happened, and she disappeared.
He blamed his friends for hurting her and making her run.
But he grew up,and took responsibility when he got the chance.
He accepted the fact he’d let her down, didn’t defend her back then, and was determined to do a lot better this time.
So,those 3🌟 are for him.

Content Warning!! Dark MC romance, some scenes depicted may be too sensitive for some readers.
Five years ago.
The first time he sees her, she literally leaves him breathless. She's nothing like his world. He can feel it, his world is about to change. Finding out she's connected to a rival MC sets him in a bad mood. When the club is hit, as the enforcer he's in charge of the counter strike. When the Prez puts him on Willow to find out if she's involved, he said, "by any means necessary" protect his club.
When Willow answers the unknown caller, she remembers seeing him at the club and he has her lost notebook. He's a hard man but she sees something in him she likes and says yes to a date. She knows he's a dangerous man but she wants to take a chance.
It turns out to be a night of firsts for the both of them. Being with him is exciting and dangerous but she trusts him. Just when she feels like she's walking on sunshine, betrayal comes from an unexpected source. It hits HARD and fast and her world is shattered. Thank goodness for found families.
He had proven his loyalty to his MC but lost the love of his life. Years go by, the club is remade but he still lives as a tortured soul without her.
Willow, her daughter and her best friend move back to town for her job as a teacher. She can't shake the feeling that something bad is going to happen.
Stay away, how can he? He has a daughter, he has to take a chance. What can he do for her to agree to let him see her and their child?
What's done can't be undone but can it be re-birthed? When danger comes for his new family, nothing and no one will stand in the way of their safety. He will not fail her, them, again.
Willow is a strong and beautiful person that got a raw deal in the family department! When her very soul broke, mine broke right along with her. Her parents made me want to be sick. Her sister actually made me sick and Lochlann made my flesh crawl!
I was so mad at Ezra that I almost put the book down. I give credit to Brooke Summers for turning it around to someone I ended up rooting for in the end.
I sincerely suggest adding this one to the MC section of your library.

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Quiet, sensible, bookish student falls for bad boy biker. She's sleeps with him on the first date- she's a virgin, not a mention of contraception or condoms. Funnily enough she gets pregnant. "We hadn't talked about children". No shit Sherlock!
Or contraceptives either. 🤦 He thinks she's betrayed him and his MC so betrays her. She is beaten up and branded by his gang (he doesn't yet know she's preggars.) and held prisoner prisoner for a few days. She realises during all of this that it's her sister who's responsible but doesn't tell them! After she's released she's raped by her sister's boyfriend, a rival biker while her sister who is present does nothing to stop it.

Her sister is dreadful and the parents are rubbish too. She moves away and has the baby. A few years later they meet up again when her BFF starts going out with his friend and blabs about the baby. Unbelievably she gives him more than the time of day.

She's TSTL, he's not very bright either. I skim read it after we got to the beating up.

This is the first book in this series and this is Rogue and Willow’s story.
Rogue is the enforcer for his MC, while Willow is on the run to save herself, after he was not there for her when she needed him the most.
This is a well written action packed, emotional roller coaster story, with found family, friendships, secrets, lies, betrayal, drama, an age gap, danger, suspense, intrigue, trust, healing, second chances, and love, which leads to an entertaining, tragic, twisted, unpredictable, and thrilling addictive page turner which is not for the faint-at-heart.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

Bad. So painfully bad I don't even know what to say. It was so far-fetched and open ended. Like where does h get all her money to run away after the MC betrayal? No idea. Money must literally grow on trees in this book. She ends up in Portland Oregon and some girl in a coffee shop just picks her up and tells her she can live with her and they'll be bff's. Yeah, not going to happen. Then said bff's parents buy them a nice apartment to stay in and pay for baby stuff because of course the h is pregnant. There were no condoms used here. They just went straight for it on the first date. He calls her Little Flower while deflowering her 🙄. Anyways, back to the h living off bff's parents. She magically goes through college and becomes a teacher. Moves back to Boston where she originally ran from. Yes, that's going to work. Her bff starts a relationship with the prez of the MC then outs the herione that she had Rogue's kid. Great friend. But hey they all live near each other so. All the characters were dumb. I wish there was something kind I could say. The whole plot of them not knowing she had a twin sister wasn't believable. Nothing even by the longest shot you can think of. Don't recommend.

Safety: no cheating. both celibate while separated. Betrayal is they think h Willow is giving info to another MC club when in reality it was her twin sister. h is beaten by Rogue's MC. Then she's raped by her sister's MC boyfriend from the other club.

Brooke has done it again! All I can say after reading this is… wow! Willow & Rogue’s story is dark, emotional, full of pain, hurt, betrayal & anguish.
Poor Willow. I swear I just wanted to jump in & protect this girl. In a matter of 72 hours she finds out she’s pregnant to a guy she’s in love with, accused of betraying his club & tortured for it while he stands by watching, then she’s brutally raped by her horrible sisters boyfriend while she stands by watching!
I honestly did not know how Willow could or even would forgive Rogue for the part he played in her torture. It wasn’t by his hand, but he was a coward for just standing there while his Prez tortured her. I hated him for it & really really hated & despised Storm. My heart was breaking & I swear I couldn’t breathe when she was pleading w/Rogue to believe her & he didn’t.
I’m normally not a fan of the FMC keeping her child a secret f/the father, BUT in this case I completely agreed w/Willow.
I’m left w/mixed feelings for Ghost. I didn’t like how he stopped Rogue f/going after Willow & apologizing (not that he deserved it, but still) in the beginning after everything went down. I thought he so hypocritical when he knew about Wren but didn’t want to betray Natalia by telling Rogue. The club & the brothers come first- that’s what they preach, so he had every right to tell Rogue. Rogue had every reason to be so pissed & feel like the club betrayed him & their mistake cost him everything.
This was such a great start to Brooke’s new series & I’m anxious for Hades & finding out what exactly Ivy was up to! Because holy hell am I curious.

There will be spoilers in this review…..

So I was iffy on the book but wanted to push through. I got really upset when Nat announced she was dating ghost and they were like oh well you can’t choice who you love… idk I feel like if I found out my new man was part of my friend being tortured, branded, and starved I may be able to help myself… then she asks one stupid thing of Nat and Nat instantly messed that up too.

After things started working out with like 0.5% grovel. All the sudden the nightmares were more about the other bad guy… don’t beat yourself up Ezra most my nightmares are about after I was tortured and taken home???

How hard would it be to just put her in a cell and check out if she had a sister?

Oh and we are ending this with Ezra not telling her what happened to Ivy? Cause they have such a trusting relationship…

Perfect Dark and Gritty MC Read

This is how I love my MC books when everything is not as it seems. Rogue is the Enforcer for the Saints Outlaws MC and is tasked with jobs that leave no room for mistakes. Willow’s life has been one of nightmares.

This book had it all from the secrets, betrayals, steam and second chances. This is yet another book by this author you don’t want to miss. She always takes me for one crazy ride with her stories.

Rogue spots Willow in the bar and is drawn to her, when he looks again she's gone but spotting her note book he keeps it, hoping to learn more about her.
Willow isn't like her twin Ivy confident and goes for what she wants until meeting Rogue.
He's always kept club life away from Willow but unfortunately the lines are about to be crossed.

I fell in love straight away but knew something would happen and didn’t it just happen!

Be prepared when reading this is all I’m saying.

Apart from this it was another amazing book from Brooke and can’t wait for Hades book with that little teaser in the epilogue.

But also you will love Wren and I want to see more of the her relationship with Rogue so much!!

I'm not sure how I got through this book but I'm glad it's over. For me this book was boring, rushed, very repetitive. Its like everytime Rogue and Willow are together he gets a call from the club and he's coming and going, going and coming..it doesn't get much better when they reunite 5 years later. He's still coming and going and every time he comes and goes Willow tells him she's scared and he always tells Willow he'll always come back for her (Alexa - play: Karma Chameleon) and he'll never let anything happen to her and their daughter Wren and that's basically what the book is. He comes and goes and says the same thing, listens to the same thing Willow always says to him when he comes and goes. The author just didn't want him to just go and come back when everything's taken care of. His coming and going was so irritating lol

In my opinion, when a book is unbelievable, it makes it hard to give it a good rating. An MC that can't verify, let alone already know you have a twin, is un-fu€k!ng-believable. Returning to a place that has so much trauma attached to it for you for "a dream job" is unbelievable for me. Forgiving Rogue is believable, but moving forward with him is un-fu€k¡ng-believable (I have a fucking brand on me that I can see every time I remove my clothes, yeah hell no) Watching my friend love someone who was also present while I was traumatized is also unbelievable to me. So, for those reasons and others, I give this a 2.5⭐️ rating.

Not worth the space it takes up in the world.

This was rough from the start. Every part of it was rushed and sloppy, the characters were so shallow and unlikeable. The story itself felt so unrealistic and forced. And it took force to muscle through it. I made it to 55% and then skimmed the rest to the end and still feel like I wasted every second I spent on this. The groveling was pathetic and not at all satisfactory for how the story was told. I’ve expected more out of my husband after he forgets to take out the trash. Let alone standing by whilst I was being branded?? Girl please. Take up knitting as a hobby, sweaters and scarves will serve you better than this drivel.

DNF'd at 55%.

Yeah its been 5 years since she was tortured but the MFC doesn't know if she's still in danger so why return to a city because it's 'unfair to upheave her 5yr old daughter'?

Also, a friend who has supported you through PTSD from said torture and promised not to tell her the MMC about the secret child reveals it all just 2 pages later?

A lot of repetitions of phrases and scenes, like yes, we get you're a 'tough' MC and the club comes first but some more creative lines or just none since you could just show it instead of tell it, would do.

1 star for having the balls and grit to detail the torture of the MFC. Even if it was a stupid overreaction with no evidence to justify.

This started off good and the more I read, the more disappointed I got.

POSSIBLE SPOILERS AHEAD>>>>>>>AFTER WRITING SPOILER, THERE IS NO POSSIBLE, IT'S SPOILERVILLE AHEAD>>>>>>>

Our hero, Rogue, did not stand up for the woman he loved, Willow, against his MC and watched as they beat, branded, and tortured her for 3 days because they thought she was lying about helping a rival MC when it was really her twin sister, Ivy. After they dump her back at her dorm room, said twin comes over and brings her boyfriend, who's part of the rival MC, and watches as he grapes her. WHAT?? Willow leaves town battered and bruised and preggo. Meanwhile, back at the clubhouse, guess what? They realize Willow was telling the truth and Rogue is furious! And the Prez and Rogue's BFF, Ghost, are all like "sorry dude, didn't realize you loved her that much, but what's done is done and there is no way she will ever forgive you". Flashforward 5 years and Willow has a daughter and has moved back home to Boston with her child and her bestie, Natalia. Natalia knows all about Willow's past, just doesn't know which MC did it. Natalia starts dating and is telling Willow she is in love but is worried to tell her that he's in an MC. Willow says which one? What's his name? Natalia says Ghost and he's in the Saints Outlaws. Willow goes full on panic, naturally. But oh! You can't help who you fall in love with. WHAT?? Willow accepts that and tells Natalia NOT to let Rogue know she's in Boston and that they have a child. Natalia says of course not! I'd never out you like that. Except next scene she's at the clubhouse talking with Ghost about her being preggo and he says, "you can ask Willow since she's gone thru it". Rogue overhears and is livid that Willow withheld that info. Now, let's stop right here and let me say that this is where Natalia lost ALL credibility. Your bestie asked one thing of you and you went and did that EXACT thing! That betrayal to me was worse than Rogue. At least he had the stupid excuse of following the orders his MC Prez gave him . Natalia had NONE, just her big fat mouth. Rogue gets in touch with Willow and swears to make amends to her no matter how long it takes. Some stuff goes down with the rival MC and they're in lockdown at the clubhouse. Willow decides she has loved him all this time and she is tired of being afraid. Some more MC stuff goes down, they think the rival guy is dead, but he's not and he shows up and kidnaps Willow and asks where Ivy is after all this time. Willow has no idea that Ivy is dead, because when Rogue and crew realized they tortured the wrong person, they made up for it by grabbing Ivy and killing her. Rogue saves Willow and they end up happy and preggo with a new baby, but Rogue is withholding the info that they killed Ivy and the whole MC is clueless as to why rival biker boy was still looking for Ivy. So, I am guessing we will get more info in the next book.

By the end of this, I really thought most of the main characters were TSTL. Amazingly enough, Rogue seemed to be the only one who grew and he was trying to make amends, while Willow gave in really quickly and bestie Natalia betrayed her just as badly as the MC and her sister. Will I read the next one? Heck yeah! I'm here for the next train wreck ;)

Rogue's Reckoning (Saint's Outlaws MC: Boston Chapter Book 1) by Brooke Summers.
This is a dark MC story set in the SOMC world is an opposites attract, second chance, secret baby, age gap romance between Ezra aka Rogue and Willow Bennett. What happens when instant attraction between a couple ends up possibly ruining both their lives. This is a tale of betrayal and revenge when their love is pushed to its limits and loyalty is tested. An angst filled drama which is heartbreaking and tragic but also violent and traumatic so read the trigger warnings. Can love survive when the MC enemies are out to get you.

The love story actually starts five years ago when Rogue the loyal and reliable enforcer for the Saint’s Outlaws is stunned one night by a beautiful but innocent looking woman. A shy glance from her and he’s intrigued. The Outlaws is the only family he’s had for years and he loves the thrilling MC lifestyle but feels something is missing. Ghost his best friend and VP warns him girls like her don’t belong in their world as far too dangerous. She leaves her notebook behind and this sets off a series of events that change everything and turns his life upside down. The MC are having terrible problems with a rival club, the Shadow Hawks. Storm their prez has intel that Willow may be linked to them and wants Rogue to continue seeing her to gain more information.

Willow is only nineteen, sweet and kind. All her life she has done the right thing even though her parents dote on her twin sister. The mysterious looking guy caught her attention and although he radiates danger she feels an unexpected connection with him. She’s never dated but never been so sure of anything in her life when spends the night with him. She knows he hiding something but sees beneath his tough exterior.

Rogue knows she is the woman of his dreams but is conflicted over his feelings for her and his duty to the club. This comes to a head when there is evidence she has betrayed him to their enemy. The events that follow are heart-wrenching, affecting both of them severely. Rogue betrays her when she needed him the most so she leaves never telling him her secret. Luckily she meet Natalia who helps her and becomes her best friend. Although Boston holds bad memories for her, she returns five years later and this leads to Rogue finding out about Wren, their daughter.

Disappointed as I felt there were holes in the plot and it was repetitive in places so I started losing interest. Unfortunately it wasn't as good as the other books I've read in the SOMC world.
I didn’t understand why Willow returned to Boston as she still traumatised by the events.
Will she ever forgive Rogue? Should he get his redemption? He has changed and still feels guilty at putting his loyalty to the club before the woman he loved. Can he earn her trust back and be a father to his daughter. Can he protect his family when danger threatens them again?
A sweet ending for this couple after all they have been through.

Summary:
FMC and MMC meet. He has fallen for her however his mc president wants him to use her for information. FMC and MMC fall in love but he chooses the mc over her. This leads to her being tortured and branded. Years later she returns to town with the MMCs child. He finds out about the child leading to a second chance.

Review:
This is my first book by this author. I am going to be honest---I am not sure how to write how I am feeling about this book. My children and I have what we "call bad movie night" it is when you pick a movie that has a high chance of being horrible but then you could also be pleasantly surprised. That is what this book reminds me of "bad movie night".

NO-MC did not due its due diligence to see if the FMC had a sister before torturing her and branding her.
NO-MMC is so in love with her but didn't check her story about the sister prior to turning his back on her.
NO-Her best friend dates and becomes pregnant by the guy who tortured her. Not only that but thinks it is ok to talk about the daughter.
NO-The daughter speaks like an old lady versus a young child.
NO-FMC starts out like she is going to make him grovel but no she isn't
NO-The flow of the book was like when my children were younger and would be like "and then this happened" if felt really disjointed

I am really not trying to tear this book apart but it is a big no for me. I have read torture book with a mc, and it was done right. That was Traitor by Himerank Ink. This book just wasn't it for me.

ROGUE’S RECKONING is the first instalment in Brooke Summers’ contemporary adult SAINT’S OUTLAWS MC: BOSTON erotic, MC romance series, a spin off from the author’s SAINTS OUTLAWS MC. This is Saints Outlaw MC member Rogue aka Ezra, and teacher Willow Bennett’s story line.

NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there WILL BE triggers for more sensitive readers.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Rogue and Willow) following two timelines, ROGUE’S RECKONING focuses on the friends to lovers to enemies to frenemies relationship between Rogue and Willow. Approximately five years earlier, Rogue fell in love with Willow Bennett but a perceived betrayal was met with heart break and destruction, violently pushing Willow out of his life. Fast forward to present day, Willow will come face to face with the man who destroyed her life, a man who knows nothing about the daughter he left behind. Rogue and the Saints Outlaws MC broke and betrayed the woman with whom Rogue had fallen in love but an ongoing war with the Shadow Hawks MC threatens our story line heroine, and Willow will discover the life from which she ran has followed her back home.

The world building focuses on several acts of betrayal, betrayals in which Willow paid the price for someone else’s sins. Heart broken and devastated, Willow struggles to trust .Meanwhile, the ongoing war with the Shadow Hawks MC becomes deadly and dangerous for the Saints Outlaws MC, and our heroine will become a pawn in a battle for control.

The relationship between Rogue and Willow is one of second chances. Five years earlier, life took a tragic turn for Willow Bennett, a turn predicated upon misunderstanding and lies but life would never be the same, and Willow will must come to terms with the past, and the men who destroyed her heart. Hoping to reconnect, Rogue knows he broke the only woman he would ever love, a woman who is struggling to move on from the past. The $ex scenes are provocative and intense.

We are introduced to several members of the Saints Outlaws MC including Ghost, Storm, Savage and Hades, as well as Willow’s best friend Natalie: sister Ivy, and Ivy’s man Lochlann. The requisite evil has many faces.

ROGUE’S RECKONING is a story of secrets and lies, betrayal and vengeance, power and control, heart break and mistrust, acceptance and love. The premise is emotional, dramatic and dark; the characters are dynamic and determined ; the anguish-filled romance is destructive, raw and tragic.

I have a lot of questions
1. How could the heroine not know that the hero is a member of a motorcycle club? He has the name of the club and his road name written on his clothes!
2. If everyone knew that the twin sister was dating the enemy, why did no one think that it was her in the photo!
3. How, according to the hero and his brothers, could the heroine steal the flash drive if she was never in their club? And in general, why get close to a person you consider dangerous for the club (a spy), and allow a situation where she could get important information?
4. How did the twin sister steal the flash drive?
5. Why did the heroine return to the city where she was so harmed and where she feels unsafe? Especially since she brought her daughter here!?
6. Maybe I misunderstood something! But I thought that the heroine did not tell her friend about what happened to her. And who is to blame for this, in this chapter, a friend talks about how she fell in love with a ghost (from their conversation, I understood that she does not know that it was his club that offended the heroine). But then we suddenly find out that her friend knows everything! And that the Ghost and his club have changed!!! And how can a real friend start a relationship with a person who offended her friend? How did the heroine, having found out about this, not quarrel with her. After all, her friend could soon find herself in the heroine's place, beaten and interrogated!!! 7. We did not see when the hero found out that the heroine was in the city! As if some piece of the book was cut out. He simply finds out that she has a daughter from him! Again, he finds out from her best friend!!! Yes, he overheard part of the conversation, But she, without thinking, gave away the age and name of the child!!!! Although the heroine begged her not to do this!!! Again, a friend is something!!!!!! It turns out that she has already secretly told the Ghost about the child!!! How after all your friend's nightmares did you get in touch with her abuser and tell him such a secret??? Then this same friend persuades her to give a chance to the man who deceived the heroine (got close to her on the president's orders), and then watched her being tortured by his brothers!!! And why? Oh yeah, he's not the same person anymore, he's changed! Well, he took very good care of the heroine in the past, won her trust, and then betrayed her! You wouldn't wish such a friend even on your enemy! She acts just like a twin sister, getting involved with bad people and dragging the heroine along with her

I loved this first book in the new series, the Saint’s Outlaws MC: Boston. Rogue and Willow are the lead characters and they couldn’t be more opposite, but as the saying goes, they definitely were attracted to each other from the beginning.

Rogue is the enforcer for the Saint’s Outlaws MC and had no hesitation in leading his brothers into a battle with anyone who goes against their club. In this story, their rival club is moving into the Outlaw’s territory and causing all kinds of trouble, which in turn means Rogue is the one in charge of attacking that club. Dangerous? Yes. Ruthless? Yes. Does this mean he was a brutal beast? Only when defending his club and his brothers.

Willow is a young woman who has always wanted to teach young children and help them along their path to success. She is gentle, has the capacity to love unconditionally yet does receive it first hand herself. I loved seeing her grow stronger and become determined to succeed in her own ventures.

Together Rogue and Willow’s chemistry was combustible, they fell into a relationship very quickly. I was so disappointed in Rogue but then again so was he! Storm, his president, had a lot to answer for, and yet he almost shrugged it off. Am I being vague? Yes because you need to read this incredible story and have everything revealed; from the sweet loving moments to the dark terrifying ones.

The balance between dark and light is very carefully crafted where even in the darkest scenes the excitement and anticipation are invigorating. Where you want to shout for joy or scream at some of the characters, it all fires you up making you feel everything. I look forward to reading Hades story next January.

This is not a nice motorcycle club. The leader is ruthless, and the club comes first, to the point of betraying their women in the worst ways. But there is hope during the second half of the book, and that hope is such a beautiful thing. I think the club is changing for the better, although it’s never going to be rainbows and puppies.
One of the themes of this book is the relationship between redemption, culpability, and guilt. Rogue and the club betrayed Willow and hurt her terribly. Yet, when she is having a PTSD nightmare about that time, Rogue is the one who can comfort her. The club persuades Rogue to take actions that he later regrets, but he does take responsibility for them, which I think leads to his redemption as a character. The book shows that there are shades of evil, and that there can be acceptance, if forgiveness isn’t possible.
I found Willow to be likable and relatable. Her personality and behavior are appropriate to her age and history. She doesn’t act like she’s worldly when she’s not; Summers lets her be young an a little naive. Willow also has reserves of strength that she might never have tapped into if she hadn’t been forced to by circumstances. Being apart from Rogue was very difficult, but I think it made her a stronger character, and a more independent person than if she had stayed innocent and trusting.
This book was layers and contradictions. It’s complicated and messy in the right way for a book that provokes thought and leaves an impression. I would have given it five stars, if not for the preposterous nature of where the final bad guy came from. All I can say about that is son, it ain’t just Zombieland where you better double tap.

I was a little mixed on this story and unsure on how to rate it. I did end up at 3 stars because ultimately I read it for the betrayal/grovel and that did deliver. The writing was good but I think the pacing was a little off and the story didn't flow quite right for me at times. There were some things that felt rushed.

With that said if you want a betrayal followed by grovel/change this did have that. He betrayed her in a big way and I wouldn't necessarily say he groveled in a big way but he was different/changed and I thought his change was believable.

A couple things to note: There was no OW or OM during separation. As I was writing my review I noticed the author did not give any trigger warnings so be aware that there is on page SA (not by MMC). It isn't super detailed but it is there on page and a little glossed over.

Damn, I cried hard for Willow. She went through literal hell and that made her so strong in the end. I don’t even know how she was able to even speak to Rogue/Ezra and the rest of the club after everything that happened to her. They tortured her and he just stood by and let it happen even though he knew deep down Willow was a good person and wouldn’t do the things they said she did. Love can only heal so much, god bless her.

Ezra did redeem himself a lot. He stayed celibate for 5 years as well as Willow did cause he was in love with her still and wanted her back. He definitely should have looked for her before 5 years had gone by. I wish we would’ve gotten the initial reaction when he found out where/when she came back to Boston. Instead we got how Natalia, who was dating Ghost, was best friends with her. I wanted more of a reaction to finding out she was back. He stepped up a lot when it came to respecting her boundaries when it came to Wren, I would’ve done the same thing. It was cute how his relationship with Wren was, he loved her just as much as he loved Willow.

Her sister, Ivy, could rot in hell. Ivy let the MC beat Willow for her crimes and she just stood and cried while Lachlann raped her. What kind of human being does that. I can’t wait to find out what Ivy was into in the next book hopefully. Like why was Lachlann so desperate to find out where she was.

Her parents can also rot in hell, her mother especially. Your daughter was raped and you’re more concerned about Ivy’s feelings and saying how Willow needed to get over being raped by Lachlann.

Wren and Natalia were such sweethearts. They made the half of the story good.

4/5 ⭐️ 2.5/5 🌶️

Brooke Summers kicks off her brand-new MC series (Saint’s Outlaws MC: Boston Chapter) with Rogue’s Reckoning, and I’m already addicted. This book is packed with action, emotion, and a romance that keeps you hooked from start to finish.

Willow is a powerhouse of a character. She is strong, resilient, and impossible not to root for. Her journey is heartbreaking and intense, but it makes every moment of her growth so satisfying. Rogue, on the other hand, is a character you’ll love to hate… until you don’t. He is frustrating at times, but his path to redemption is compelling, and the chemistry between them is undeniable. Their relationship is messy, emotional, and filled with tension that keeps the pages turning.

This is a dark MC romance, and some moments are tough to read. The story doesn’t shy away from the brutal realities of the world it’s set in, so be prepared for some heavy content. But the intensity only makes the stakes feel that much higher. The side characters add even more depth to the story, with Ghost and Natalia standing out as a refreshing balance to all the drama. Ivy and the Shadow Hawks bring in a level of suspense that has me dying to see where things go next.

This book is a wild ride! It’ll have you yelling at the characters one moment and swooning the next. If you love MC romances with high stakes, deep emotions, and characters that stick with you, Rogue’s Reckoning is a must-read!

Rogue’s Reckoning was a good read, but unfortunately not a standout for me compared to other books by Brooke Summers.

I went into this story expecting a high level of angst, tension, and emotional intensity—especially given the betrayal and second-chance premise. While those elements are technically present, they didn’t hit as hard as I hoped. The emotional impact felt muted, and I never fully felt the weight of the betrayal or the struggle to rebuild trust.

One of my main issues was the pacing. At times, the story felt slow, with long stretches where not much happened and dialogue that became repetitive. Then, when the action and conflict finally arrived, everything was resolved far too quickly. That imbalance left me feeling unsatisfied, like the payoff didn’t quite match the buildup.

That said, the writing itself is solid, and I did appreciate the grovel and second-chance aspect, which was one of the main reasons I kept reading. Rogue’s determination to make things right was engaging, even if I personally wished for deeper consequences and a more earned resolution. The forgiveness also felt a bit rushed, and I found myself wanting more emotional depth and development before everything was smoothed over.

Overall, Rogue’s Reckoning was an entertaining read that kept me turning the pages, but it didn’t fully deliver on the angst and intensity I was hoping for. A decent start to the Boston Chapter, just not my favorite from this author.
