We read this as a part of our camping theme. The kids (preschool) were surprised to learn that going to camp did not just mean sleeping outdoors.

Little Critter goes to day camp and while he's having fun seems like everything he tries to do he messes up; but instead of being upset he just says 'Next time I'll know' such a positive book for young readers. The illustrations in this book was fun too. My nearly 4 year old granddaughter pointed out things and we would talk about things before we turned the page.
