This is the perfect mixture of smut and plot. Loved the power twins just wish there was more to their story hopefully in book 2. That cliffhanger ugh it really did leaving me wanting more. Can't wait for the next book!
I read this book without much knowledge beyond the TW. It’s a wild ride that just picks up speed as it goes. I’m so happy for the fact that the FMC maintains her spunk and sassy attitude. I enjoyed the plot line and I’m glad there’s a second book coming!!
I never read a bullying book. But when I read the blurb I was why not sign up for the ARC. Because I was kinda intrigued by it. And it's nice to read someting else for once. So yay I did get this book as a ARC
And I need to tell you it did not disappoint, it was even better than expected. Even thought I still don't like the bullying part. But the story was really good and the ending got me. I'm already excited for the next book. There are still so many questions left. I was going to give this book a four star rating. But the end got it up to five.
Also the writing style was refreshing! I felt like there wasn't a lot of talking and somehow that made the book maybe even better? Like you really where Altas through this all. And it didn't even bother me to be honest.
(Spoiler waring!) The spice was on top and it got really hot in here a couple of times 🔥. I definitely have two favorites. The first one at the party and the one at the back of the class. Who knew that would be hot (end of spoiler).
And last but not least. I do hope we get more chapters in the POV of Ben and Leo in the next book. Because the couple we got from Leo I did really like. And it would be fun to learn more about the power twins! So bring on book two ✌️!
First of all I, when I saw a bullying book, I thought it would focus more on the Twins bullying Atlas, but it was stupid sorority b!tc**s. I really relate to Atlas in this book with not only her anxiety, but the wanting to punch the sorority girls in the face. Those b’s seriously need to have some karma hit them in the face!
I have a love/hate relationship with the Twins. I understand their purpose in how they pick on Atlas, but they also protect her throughout many situations as well. I do not like how much they try to make her jealous by sleeping with everything that has legs (I understand it serves their purpose). They are super hot though. Like I wouldn’t complain if they found me in the girl’s locker room 😉.
This book ends on a cliffhanger and I don’t know if I can wait for the next one! 😩 That ending had me shook and it definitely makes me want to learn the Twins history and I really want to know what happened to her sister!! Anyways, very good book. Definitely recommend!

Just completed 'The Power Twins,' and what an exhilarating journey it was! Right from the beginning, I was captivated by the intricate dynamics between Ben and Leo. Leo's perspective provided a tantalizing glimpse into their mesmerizing relationship, and I'm already yearning for additional chapters from their point of view in the sequel.
The intensity of the narrative was truly remarkable! Who could have imagined that moment in the back of the class would be so electrifying? They far surpassed my expectations, leaving me eager for more.
Yet, the bullying subplot. While it addressed a challenging issue, the story's overall brilliance and its ability to keep me engrossed outweighed this discomfort. And that ending! It left me stunned and craving resolutions to all the unanswered questions.
I'm eagerly anticipating delving deeper into the Power Twins' world in the upcoming installment.
This is a step sibling romance or so I think. But if you can get past that this is absolutely fantastic! The cliffhanger that J.L just left me on is going to kill me. I was a little upset that we didn’t go more into depth of finding out what happened to Atlas sister but I have a feeling we will find out more in the second book. This book was a perfect balance of smut and plot. I didn’t want to put the book down because it left me wanting to know what was doing to happen next. I can’t wait for book 2.
The breaking of Atlas definitely left my mind questioning and wondering about a lot of things which I loved. I feel like there's so much more to it then meets the eye. it was definitely an interesting premise that everything took place. I loved the resilance that Atlas had through everything that had happened to her and I really can't wait to see what more she has in store in the next book.

It’s like a mouse against two cats. I love the way you can feel the characters emotions throughout the whole novel. You can feel the tug a war between the main characters on how they dislike and are attracted to each other. Plus, that ending isn’t what I was expecting and I can’t wait to see how everything plays out with all of them.
The FMC wants revenge for her dead sister. Steals the life insurance money from her sisters step brothers. She is in her last year in collage. The twins want revenge for her stealing their money. It's a good read.
This book is very well written! I was impressed with the plot and the details that go into the story to make it that much more descriptive! I really felt like I could hear and understand as if I was Atlas! The cliffhanger ending got me all fired up and can’t wait for the answers! I will definitely be reading more from the author! *read all trigger warnings before reading*
Tropes: Some Dual POV Dark Romance Morally Grey MMCs Sassy FMC Suspense Enemies-to-Lovers
Wow! I was given the opportunity to ARC read this! The suspense has this book has is off the charts. I love the authors writing style and language used in this book. It is very relatable and so easy to fall into her writing style!
Atlas, our FMC is a sassy mouthed spitfire personality that has had a rough childhood. Growing up in a foster home from different foster as a child to adolescent really took a toll on Atlas. It is because of her struggles she becomes a very determined to get an education and make something out of her life. She strongly believes in not becoming a statistic or stereotype of a child being raised in the foster care system.
Leo and Ben, our MMCs, we don’t find out exactly what makes this two tick. However we do know that they are utterly obsessed with Atlas. We do know that our MMC‘s are twins. Leo has strikingly blue eyes with a broader built. Ben has gray eyes with a short smaller built than his twin brother.
This book had me literally hooked from the very first word to the very last word. And just so I can reel in further more. The first word that kicks starts this book is “revenge”. And the last word that ends is “zero”. I could not put this book down. The only reason I couldn’t finish it in one day is because of life and all my personal obligations. I was reading in between work and other things going on in my life.
This book is about Atlas, our FMC, finding out who killed her sister. She finds out that her parents had her at a young age and gave her up for adoption. Two years later after giving her for adoption, she finds out her parents have another child. Her sister and keep her. When her sister was around the age if 6, her father left their mother. Her father gets married to a woman a set of twins from her previous marriage. Their mother makes some questionable decisions and uses drugs etc. her sister is now forced to live with their father new wife and twins. Atlas finds out her sister died and makes it a mission to find the killer. In this case she thinks the twins killed her sister and vows to get revenge.
It is so easy to get lost in this book! The book ends with a little bit of a cliffhanger but nothing to detrimental! I am looking forward to the second book and can’t wait ti find out what happens next!
Happy Reading!

Atlas is seeking vengeance for the death of her sister. When the two guys she believes is responsible ( her step brothers, but not really) shows up as students her college, she believes that she's been caught. She stole $2 million from them and believes that they are there to make her pay for it. Atlas and the twins end up having a love hate relationship. She's bullied and hazed, but not by the twins, though she believes that they were behind it in some way. She wants to hate them for what she believes they did to her sister, but can't deny the feelings that bubble up inside her when they look at her or touch her. The twins definitely know how to dominate her, but Atlas is not a quiet little push over. She's feisty. She stand up for herself even though it doesn't always workout. This book ended on a cliffhanger, and while I enjoyed the story itself, the last 20% of the book is what really hooked me. I can't wait to read the next one and see where this story goes next!!!
This book was the perfect mixture of smut, plot, and thrill. It was well written, and I was hooked from the moment I started reading it - I finished it in 2 days! It was my first dark bully romance, and I am here for it. **check the triggers before reading friends**
Atlas has spunk, sass, edge, and the will to fight (always with the blonde Barbie & her posse of bleach blonde replicas 🤭 iykyk). When she becomes the twins new “toy” that just seemed to add to their game, which added to the plot. There is definitely more than what meets the eye with the characters, and we were able to learn more over the simple acts over time (chapter 37 🫶🏼).
The ending was such a cliff hanger and left me S T U N N E D - thank goodness book 2 comes out soon (October 15!). And I hope we have more chapters from the twins’ POV 🥵
WOW, I'm blown away at how much I loved this book! J.L Hawick is a superb author and I can't wait for book #2 in the series! This book had me cheering on the characters and sometimes being angry at them and yes, even times where I was doing both and couldn't get enough!
I couldn't put this book down, from the start, it was a page turner leaving me wanting more and wanting to know what was going to happen next! There is a clear storyline with perfect details of characters and events. When I wasn't reading, I was thinking of what I had read and coming up with how I thought the story might end!
The FMC is brilliant, fearful, full of fear and bullied yet keeps her sanity (sort of). The two main characters draw you into their lust and power. That hold stays throughout the pages and leaves you craving more and more!
J.L. Hawick has earned & deserved this 5 star rating!
This is the first book in the Power Twins Series. And also this was my first MFM romance. And for it to be twins🥵 Oh it was amazing. I got this on a stuff your kindle day (SYKD) I let the wheel of fate choose my next read. I'm so glad I did that because now I LOVE a good MFM romance. 2 Men at the same damn time is what runs through my mind each time the twins showed up😮💨🫠😩 Love them. Love them so much. At first I didn't like the writing it was odd to me but then it clicked as I read further in. Its written like its an actual teen/20yr old Young Adult writing it from her POV. Genius honestly. She hasn't matured. With her background the grammer isn't the best. Its why the writing is all over the place. As well as all the other characters. They all speak like they are 20yrs old and I love it. Overall 4/5⭐️
I really enjoyed this book and it had me hooked from the moment I started it. This was my first bully romance where the MMC's weren't the actual bullies, which made this unique. The FMC, Atlas, is a victim of bullying in her university by a group of sorority girls who are, amongst other things, extremely jealous.
Breaking of Atlas is a MFM book with a perfect mixture of angst, revenge, and spice with a story line that matched! The book does end on a cliffhanger which makes me extremely excited for book two.
Overall rating is 4.5 out of 5 - the only reason I deducted .5 is because at the beginning of the book, there wasn't a ton of dialogue and made me crave those interactions. However, it picked up the more I read it and it was a great book overall!

I truly enjoy bully romances and this was the perfect set up for one. The right amount of smut and plot but wanted to know more of a story between them all. It was a slow burn but started to speed up a bit as it went along.
I absolutely love Atlas! Her spunky, sassy, will not hold back attitude is my favorite. No one can walk over her at all. The Power Twins. 🥵 They sure know how to dominate and set their claim. I hope to see more POVs with them including Atlas in the next book!
That cliffhanger has me screaming honestly. I’m so afraid for Atlas but I know she’ll hold her own! So excited!
I was pleasantly surprised by this book. I am not going to lie, I was very close to DNF'ing at around 50% because it was extremely slow, however it did pick up and was actually pretty great. I looked up other reviews for this book and everyone loved it so I pushed through and I'm really glad that I did. There is a cliffhanger, but luckily book number 2 is coming out really soon, and I cant wait to see what Atlas, Ben, and Leo get up to. I also really hope that Khloe gets what is coming to her in book 2, as well as we get more information on what actually happened to Annie. Its killing me!! [pun intended :)]
I gave this book 2 stars for a few reason. 1) The author keeps swapping between present and past tense. Not in recalling the past, but in the same statement. 2) The format changed from no spacing between paragraphs to suddenly having a wide space which threw me off. 3) The grammatical errors started to get worse.
I do love the premise of the book. The thought process behind it is really good, but the author definitely needs to use an editor and formatting to fix the issues. 100% distracted me from being able to enjoy the book. DNF’d at 21%.
I read this book and it did not disappoint. Remember to read the TW.
The Breaking of Atlas is a quick read and I cannot wait for book 2. The tension between Atlas and the twins is out of this world. The cliffhanger at the end of book 1 left me wanting more. Thank you J.L. Hawick for the ARC.
The twist at the end was crazy good. I can't wait to see what comes next in book 2. The twins were amazing, and at times, I could not tell that they were against her at all, like they were trying to actually help her. There is so much respect and care in this book, and I absolutely loved it.
The Breaking of Atlas is beautifully written all around. The story, the characters, every detail! The twists and turns had my emotions all over the place. Since I finished it I've been obsessing over what comes next. I can't wait to read book 2!
This book very good writing! I love a good story. I can't wait for more!! I couldn't stop reading it. I was hooked from the start! Thus author is amazing and a amazing writer.
This book was a fun read! It kept me on my toes and made me want to know more about Annie, the twins, and what they have planned for Atlas. I'd like to know more about the twins in the second book, as I felt like there wasn't a lot of background released about them. I did enjoy the few chapters from their perspective and hope to see more of that in book 2. I found the storyline to be well done, however there were a few chapters written where I couldn't tell exactly whose perspective it was from, if it was a flashback or a daydream. Overall a great book and looking forward to the next one. I would recommend this book to others who enjoy the bully trope as the author does a great job of creating those bully scenes and it really makes you feel even further for the FMC. I'd like to see the Twins come to Atlas's rescue more in the second book, but I guess we'll see what happens! I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Atlas was just trying to keep her head down and go to college. Her past came back to haunt her in the form of the twins, Ben and Leo.
Atlas is a scrappy FMC and this emphasizes her outskirts, not popular, rather be smart persona. Ben and Leo, who she stole a lot of money from, have shown up suddenly going to her school too. This makes for an intense spicy thriller. Atlas goes through so much, the question is how much can she handle and why are her emotions betraying her when the twins are involved.
J - reader to author, how did you have me so invested with this book? The emotions felt throughout this book AND that spice level had me just eating this story up! I did not expect to eat it up so quickly either, but now I am sitting here already planning to do nothing else when book 2 comes out.
