Penny Miller, a kindergarten teacher, has always dreamed of motherhood. Newly out of a three-year relationship - broken off by an ex claiming she is ‘too boring’ - she’s been considering her options for motherhood alone. When her brother's teammate suddenly needs to hire a nanny, on short notice, she agrees to help him out.

Luke Campbell, a professional hockey player, is a playboy already on thin ice with his team because of his media image. When a past hookup drops his baby, which he had no idea about, at his doorstep during the playoffs, he begins to spiral. His teammate's sister accepts an offer to nanny his daughter and she brings the peace his life was lacking.

Penny offers to marry Luke to help his reputation and keep his spot on the team in exchange for teaching her to let loose a little.

Things are perfect until Luke’s ex comes back wanting to be a family with their daughter and at the same time Penny’s ex sees her becoming the confident girl he always wanted her to be. Will they give in to the comfortability of their past partners? Or are they ready to take a risk on a new love?

Need Your Peace is the third book in the Tampa Thunder series, but it can be read as a standalone. I did not read books 1 and 2, and this is my first time reading a book by Mariah Goodwin.

Luke is Penny's brother's best friend and is also a professional hockey player for the Tampa Thunder. He is known for being a playboy, and if he can't fix his reputation, it could jeopardize his spot on the team. Penny is a teacher who has just gotten out of a long-term relationship with her terrible ex-boyfriend. Luke suddenly finds himself trying to figure out how to be a single father to Everlee while balancing his career and image. Penny has always wanted to be a mother and agrees to help Luke by being his nanny. To help Luke with his image and to help her get over her ex and live a little, Penny suggests she and Luke get fake married.

Luke and Penny end up falling for each other and have amazing chemistry. I couldn't help but root for them as a couple. With no questions asked, Luke stepped up and into the father role. He was there for Penny and would do absolutely anything for Penny and Everlee. Penny struggled with being broken down by her ex, but she had a huge heart and so much love to give. I hated that her ex made her feel like she was not enough, but it was heartwarming to witness Luke do everything in his power to make her feel she was enough. I loved Luke and Penny's individual relationships with Everlee; they make the perfect little family.

Need Your Peace is a super cute story that left me with a smile on my face. It is beautifully written, kept me turning the pages, and made me feel so many emotions. This book has the perfect mix of romance, spice, and some drama. I highly recommend this book if you love sports romance with a sweet and happy ending.

Thanks to Mariah Goodwin and Sunny Babe PR for an e-ARC. Opinions expressed are my own.

Need Your Peace ARC Review

i was very fortunate to receive an ARC of Need Your Peace by Mariah Goodwin from SunnyBabePr, thank you so much!! 💙

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
🌶️🌶️🌶️.5/5

content warning: pregnancy and on-page verbal abuse.

“doves are peaceful, and you help calm the chaos in my life and i think i may be experiencing peace for the first time in a really long time since you started coming around more.”

this book was a quick read but i really liked it! so much happened but i never felt overwhelmed and was able to follow along with the story!

penny is a sweet, sweet angel and i fell in love her. i felt really connected with her and her feelings of not being enough. and as the story develops, we see her come into her own and it’s so beautiful.

luke is a big softie and the way he takes on being new dad with no complaints is so heartwarming. and the way he cares so much for penny and constantly reminded her that she is enough and perfect just the way she was 🥹

the chemistry penny and luke share was everything. they fell hard and fast and never looked back. and penny’s relationship with everlee, warmed my heart so much!!

once again thank you so much to sunnybabepr and mariah goodwin for providing me with this arc 💙

Need your peace is book 3 in the Tampa Thunder series. However, it can be read as a standalone.

Luke, a playboy hockey player, and now single dad, and Penny, a sweet kindergarten teacher, decide to help each other out of a jam. While Penny is a nanny for Lukes 2 week old daughter, Penny offers to marry Luke to help his reputation and keep his spot on the team in exchange for teaching her to let loose a little.

Luke and Penny fall hard and fast for each other, and the chemistry they share is like no other.
Luke becomes a whole new person and does anything for his girls. This book is full of so much love between the couple and the love they both have for Luke's daughter Everlee is so sweet! The ending really got me!!

I really enjoyed reading their story and going through the emotions with them, plus the added bonus of lots of spice throughout!

Thank you @sunnybabepr for the ARC copy
And thank you @mariahgoodwin for the beautiful story

4.5 Stars!!

This was a really great, bingeable book!

I loved Luke and Penny’s relationship and their chemistry! And I love the found family aspect with all of the characters that we have seen throughout the series.

Pacing was great- this book is one you can fly through- I read it in 3 hours! And the ending leaves you satisfied. All of Luke’s surprises throughout the last handful of chapters - just made me swoon!😍

The only thing I do wish is that there would’ve been a little more lead up to the marriage of convenience as that part right away felt a little quick.

It is book 3 in the Tampa Thunder series, but can be read as a standalone.

Recommend reading this one especially if you like sports romance, brother’s best friend, and forced proximity tropes!💙

Thank you @sunnybabepr & @mariahgoodwinbooks for this #gifted e-copy!🫶🏼

Tropes: Brothers Best Friend, Found Family, Friends to Lovers, Hockey Romance, Marriage of Convenience, Surprise Baby, Single Dad Romance, Forced Proximity

Thank you to the author for letting me beta read!

Luke is a professional hockey player with a playboy rep. Out of nowhere, he finds himself being a single dad, and hires his best friend's sister as his nanny. Penny is a teacher, and she is still upset over the reason why her ex broke up with her (Ethan, you're an asshole). To help Luke with his playboy image and Penny with her insecurities, they decide to get married.

This is Book 3 in the Tampa Thunder series, and while these books can be read as standalones, I highly recommend reading at least Book 2 before reading this book since you get a glimpse of Luke's life at the end. This was such a cute, easy, quick read! I've always been a huge fan of the Single Dad trope, but I'm starting to love when books have the nanny trope as well! Luke and Penny fall hard and fast for each other, their chemistry was off the charts! I love how the author made Luke have "THATS'S MY WIFE" energy, it's so hot LOL. Everything about this book was so good, especially the ending -- I was SQUEALING. I enjoyed seeing the previous characters from this series and getting caught up with them -- I really love this friend group. I'm super excited for Mateo and Charlie's story!

I got this as an ARC and holy goodness. I could not put this book down. It was fast paced and quick to the spice which I enjoyed! I read this book in one sitting and enjoyed every second of it. Penny is a sweet and likeable character who loves Taylor Swift. Luke is a hockey playboy looking to change his reputation. They have a fake marriage that is convenient for both of them in the beginning but end up finding each a family together. I immediately need to read the other Tampa Thunder books.

Luke and Penny have known each other for a long time due to the fact Luke plays hockey with his Penny’s brother and Luke is his best friend. One day, a baby is literally dropped at Luke’s door and he becomes a dad. Penny helps by nannying him. Luke has image problems and Penny needs help getting over her ex and how he hurt her so they get fake married, but soon real feelings come and the rest is history. This was a good read and I’m super thankful to be chosen to read this. The writing was just hard for me to read. it had many errors and was too beginner writing for me. I also get the book was really predictable and that could just be my own fault because I read so many hockey romances. I give it 3/5 ⭐️ and spice was 2/5 🌶️

I really did enjoy this book. I love Penny and obviously Love Luke ❤️ they are so cute together, and having everything they ever wanted together is just so beautiful. I will say the only reason I docked a star is because it just felt so rushed. I feel like the pacing was so rushed, and sometimes it felt like all the story had going was the s*x. Other than that, it was a great story. Thank you to Sunny Babe PR and the author for an E-ARC of this book.

Thank you @sunnybabepr and Mariah Goodwin for letting me read and review this
So this story revolves around Penny and Luke. Penny is a 'boring' kindergarten teacher and Luke is a playboy NHL player. When a baby gets dropped off Luke's place, he has no idea what to do and tells his close friends. Penny being Luke's teammates sister, she offers to help. Now with this new baby, Luke's image is going down the drain and penny offers to marry him in order to save his reputation and in return Luke shows penny how to let loose.
I hate that I didn't love this book. I was so excited to read this after reading Need Your Midnight and absolutely loving it so I was so sad when I didn't.
I did love the chemistry they had but at times that chemistry just wasn't there. The chapters also almost became repetitive at one point, it would always be happy and then it would end with sex so it sometimes got boring to read.
The reason I did rate this 3 stars and not lower is because this book really was cute. I love how Luke was with penny, she had so many insecurities due to her horrible horrible ex Ethan and Luke made sure to always tell her that she was perfect. Penny also wanted nothing more than to become a mom and she was able to do that and I loved that, I loved seeing her be an amazing mom. In Need Your Midnight the one memorable thing is how much Taylor Swift was mentioned and I'm glad they added a little bit of that back in this book. Also the spice was spicing
Although I didn't love this book I will definitely be reading the next book in this series!

I’m not crying, you’re crying 😅

Did I binge this in one day? Yes.
Do I have any regrets? No.

03/01/2024: This was seriously such a cute continuation from book 2 and in the Tampa Thunder series! We get the preface of this book from book two, and I believe it was beautifully crafted off from that. You don't feel like you missed any pieces and the story flows so nicely as well. Mariah really has done a great job crafting the characters and their backstories without it being burdensome of like a copy and paste. They all feel unique and all brought something to the story line!

Thank you so much for letting me beta read this and for entrusting me with yet another book in this series. They're so enjoyable and fun to read! A must add to anyone's hockey romance tbr.

✨ ARC Book Review✨

⭐️4/5

📚A must read if you enjoyed Icebreaker, Pucking Around, and The Enforcer!

📝 Sports romance, marriage of convenience, forced proximity, best friend’s sibling, and unexpected baby tropes.

🏒 **Book 3 of the Tampa Thunder series, but can be read as a stand alone** When Kindergarten teacher Penny Miller’s dreams of motherhood collide with professional hockey player Luke Campbell’s chaotic life, sparks fly in unexpected ways. As Penny steps in to nanny Luke’s daughter and offers a fake marriage to save his career, they find solace and passion in each other’s company. But when past flames resurface, threatening their newfound happiness, will they choose the safety of the past or take a leap into a future together? Dive into this heartwarming tale of love and family!

💗 What I loved about this book is that it was so relatable! I think we all can find examples of where we’ve had “Penny” moments, and I found this connecting me to the story much more! Not to mention, compelling past flames that had me wanting to scream at the top of my lungs! But, most of all, the gushy, fluffy, and also smutty(!!!) love shared between Penny and Luke. PSA although Luke is a professional hockey player, the way Mariah approaches the sports elements will appeal to sports romance and general romance readers alike!

🎬 Need Your Peace releases in less than 2 weeks on March 13, 2024 and is a must read for romance fans!

Luke: Notorious playboy of the Tamper Thunder hockey team. New single dad
Penny: Sweet, newly single Kindergarten teacher

To have the level of support that Luke and Penny had from friends and family to help with Everlee is amazing. Fake married Luke and Penny go into the deal to help each other out. But what happens when fake becomes real and they want more from each other. Is Luke going to be the man Penny needs and is Penny along with Everlee going to show the world the real Luke not what the media make him out to be.
Luke is a sweet and loving guy to Penny and he shoes her at every opportunity how much he truly does love her. Penny just need to get out of her head with all the negative thoughts and let people in.

Penny is a kindergarten teacher who has always dreamt of being a mother. She's newly out of a three-year relationship that was broken off by her ex, claiming she is "too boring" and "too heavy". When her brother's teammate suddenly needs to hire a nanny, she agrees to help him out. Luke is a pro hockey player and a playboy whose reputation has left him on thin ice with his team. When a past hookup drops a baby that he had no idea about at his doorstep, his life blows up before his eyes. Penny offers to marry Luke to help clean up his reputation and keep his spot on the team in exchange for teaching her to let loose a little and get fit.

This is the third book in the Tampa Thunder series and while they can all be read as stand-alones, I'd recommend at least reading book 2, NEED YOUR MIDNIGHTS, before this one to get better context and history on Luke.

NEED YOUR PEACE is the perfect read for those who love brother’s best friend, single dad x nanny, and marriage of convenience as the main tropes. It is a quick and fun read with several Taylor Swift references, "good girl", and pet names.

Luke and Penny make for an excellent couple. They continuously demonstrate so much love, kindness, caring, and support towards one another. It was really cute. There are some bumps in the road for them, but that makes it all even sweeter when things work out. Luke and Penny's chemistry is palpable and the spicy scenes are plentiful, mostly open door, and well written. I really enjoyed the ending, particularly the epilogue which was the perfect ending to this story!

My main qualm with this one was how fast we jumped into the marriage of convenience and relationship. It felt a bit like whiplash and a lot insta-love because there was no lead-in or context before things really got started.

Lastly, I really enjoyed seeing the previous books' main characters here. So nice to catch up with those well-loved characters and this phenomenal friend group! An easily bingeable read.

I would like to thank SunnyBabePR for this advanced digital copy for the opportunity to read this novel in exchange for an honest review! All opinions shared are my own.

I am a sucker for romance novels especially ones with some spicy scenes and hockey players.

Luke is Penny’s brother's best friend and teammate of the Tampa Thunder hockey Team. He is known for being a playboy, and if he can't fix his reputation, it could jeopardize his spot on the team. Penny is a teacher who has just gotten out of a long-term relationship with her terrible ex-boyfriend, (seriously wanted to punch this dude through my kindle). Luke suddenly finds himself trying to figure out how to be a single father to Everlee, his 2 week old newborn from a one night stand, who was dropped off by her mom who didn’t want her, AND balancing his career and image. Need Your Peace
By Mariah Goodwin
Pub Date: March 13, 2024
Thank you to Mariah Goodwin for the beta copy of Need Your Peace. My review is my honest opinion.
When Need Your Midnights ended with the shocking announcement that Luke had a baby, I was not only shocked, but I didn’t know if Luke could be a good dad. His bad reputation and hooking up with just about anybody didn’t give me much hope, but I was so wrong about him!!
Luke got his act together and was not only a great person but a great dad. He worked hard to turn his reputation around and to do what was best for his family.
The chemistry between him and Penny was addicting. I just wanted them to be together! I love the way Luke was always doing nice things for Penny. He truly wanted to make her happy and he was also doing a great job convincing her that he was serious about wanting more than a fake marriage. He is a true cinnamon roll. I think that Luke had been ready to settle down, but just hadn’t met the right person until Penny came into his life. I was glad that Luke made his feelings clear and didn’t leave Penny guessing if he liked her or not.
Penny was a natural when it came to caring for Luke’s daughter. The moments in the book where Luke watches them interact or sleep together are the sweetest.
I thought Blake and Audrey from Need Your Midnights were the perfect couple, but I think Luke and Penny give them a run for their money.
I am so glad Luke was open to Penny’s suggestion of a fake marriage and that the book ended in the best way.
Mariah Goodwin’s Tampa Thunder Series is beautifully written and extremely captivating. She knows how to bring a relationship to life with all the feelings and emotions and just the right amount of spice. I can’t wait to read more the series!

ARC Review: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thank you to Sunnybabe PR!

So I haven’t read any of the other Tampa Thunder books, so this book could definitely be read as a SA! I will say I’m going to go back and read them because I loved the dynamic of the friend/family group and want to read all their love stories. I loved Penny as the FMC so much because she was so sweet, and sunshiney. She was easy to love, and root for her happiness. Luke is phewwwww let’s just say *Daddy* material 😘 The way he would constantly show up for Penny, take care of her, and defend her had me swoooooning like crazy. And I loved all the spice!!!!

One of my favorite quotes Luke says about Penny is:
“I need you to bring peace into my life forever, and I will bring the wild to yours.”

If you’re looking for a new Sports Romqnce to dive into, that brings the spice and a HEA then look no further.

Tropes include:
-marriage of convenience
-brothers best friend
-hockey player & kindergarten teacher
-surprise baby
-found family
-friend group

Luke has a reputation in hockey as the bad boy, who takes home a different girl every night. He hits rock bottom when all of a sudden a girl drops off a baby on his doorstep, claiming it’s his. Luke doesn’t know how to take care of a baby or what to do next, so his best friends sister comes over to help him with the baby.

Lucy jumps right into action helping Luke get settled and set up for the baby. It doesn’t take long for Lucy to propose her idea to Luke. They get married for the summer, it will help him clean up his image being seen as a good dad and husband. And it will help her gain experience and be more fun, as her last boyfriend dumped her for those reasons. But what happens when their marriage of convenience starts to feel real and real feelings get involved.

Innocent Romance Meets Spicy

Huge thank you to @sunnybabepr and @mariahgoodwinbooks for allowing me to ARC review this book.

This book has so many of my favorite tropes including forced proximity, brother's best friend and he falls harder! Which are all done so right. Luke is such a teddy "bear" of a character with Penny but a bad boy on the ice and when it counts. The perfect balance for this character was struck when Penny needs someone to step up for her! I liked the independence of Penny's character, she was content and self assured overall which was really refreshing especially after what her ex says about her!
Speaking of her ex, Ethan's character is classic, jealous (at times a bit overly cheesy) d-bag. Set up really well in contrast of Luke's character and his protectiveness of Penny though.

Now, I'll be honest, I'm not usually a huge "contemporary" romance, single dad fan but this was done well. The parental aspects were written with such obvious love and care it was hard not to swoon over how much effort went into the special moments written in. There was so much sweet romance, and so many spicy moments! It really escalated quickly a few times, I had to check if my heated blanket was turned up too high or if I was just sweating! Woo! There were lots of spicy moments, some very detailed and some just skimmed over. One of my favorites involves being behind the table!

This was a super cute, easy-to-binge, single dad/nanny hockey (not too much hockey talk or mention which I really like) novel, would definitely recommend to fans of this combination of tropes.

✨Book release on March 13th✨

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 🌶️🌶️/5

First of all I will say this story had my one of favorite tropes! I’m a sucker for a marriage of convenience story. In this story it follows Luke Campbell a playboy hockey player who is loving the single life when all of a sudden he gets a visitor at his door and it’s his new daughter. So here is Luke becoming a single dad overnight and ends up getting a nanny with no one other than Penny Miller a sweet kindergarten teacher who was dumped by her boyfriend of three year for being to boring and “fat” (which made me so mad)😡 Penny ends up creating a plan that can benefit both her and Luke. Luke gets to fix his playboy ways and Penny can live a more exciting life. Well you know how marriage of convenience ends but this story was so adorable it had my heart squeezed with the love both Luke and Penny had for each other. I especially loved the nicknames he gives her (pretty girl🥵 and dove🫠) I love how penny is his peace, the calm to his storm. My favorite quote would have to be “I need you to bring peace into my life forever, and I will bring the wild to yours. Together we can conquer our dreams and I promise to fall in love with you more everyday”

Tropes included:
- sports romance
- found family
- she falls first, he falls harder
- marriage of convenience
- best friends brother
- single dad
- a lot of “My Wife”
- forced proximity

Need Your Midnights is book two in the Tampa Thunder Series but can be read as a standalone.

Thank you, Mariah Goodwin and Sunny Babe PR, for the opportunity to read this arc💘

ARC BOOK REVIEW

I swear this series just keeps getting better and better with every book. I was in utter shock when I read the last chapter of the previous book which gave us an insight into Need Your Peace and this book was so much more than I could have ever imagined it to be.

From the last book, I loved reading about Luke as well as Penny, and for them to end up having a story together was just perfect in my eyes. From Luke being the ultimate playboy of the ice hockey team to single dad and eventually fake husband was just a shock in itself that I believe no one truly saw coming.

Penny ends up helping out Luke with his new daughter, whom he had no idea about until her mother dropped her off on his doorstep. Penny becomes Luke's daughter's nanny, and everything just spirals from that point. The chemistry between Penny and Luke was like no other that I have witnessed before. And the moment when they finally admitted the liked one another was just perfect.

Their relationship was just filled of fun and love and I absolutely adored Luke's daughter just like Penny did and the ending of the book which circles around this was the sweetest thing I have ever read and was totally worth reading the book just for that.

I loved reading their book so much. It was honestly amazing to read. The whole story was so addicting and I pretty much read it all in one go. One thing I love particularly about this series is the found family aspect, all of the characters just love one another so much and are always willing to help out with any issue.

I enjoyed this marriage of convenience, instant family story. This is an interconnected series and I regrettably haven't read the other books yet(but I plan on it now) and was able to easily follow along. Luke and Penny are adorable. Luke is your typical playboy hockey player. After a one night stand leaves his baby on his door step, he's obviously in a whole new world. Luckily, it takes a village and he has one. His teammates and their families all help out, which includes Penny, his teammate Zane's sister. She's a teacher and with the school year about to end, she's available to be his nanny and she's happy to help. She's off of a fairly recent breakup of a long term relationship. He ex is AWFUL. She is the one who proposes the fake marriage to help them both, him to improve his image and her to lose weight and be a little more fun. Since they've known each other for a while, they fall into a routine pretty easily and find that feelings are there and they are strong. There's some bumps along the way, some miscommunication, but lots of making up and forgiving. Luke needed to find the right woman and Penny needed to be with someone who could show her what she deserves. Luke is a sweetheart and Penny is pretty amazing herself. HEA guaranteed with some hockey thrown in for good measure. Overall, this is a winner.

Wow I seriously love this book! I devoured it in one day and just could not put it down! Totally consumed me from page one. The characters were so amazing and fit so perfectly for each other. I loved how Penny was the peace while Luke was the chaos and how great they just balanced together.
I always enjoy a good single dad romance and seeing Luke’s support system just come together for him made my heart so happy. Penny was truly made to be Everlee’s mom. Penny cared for her so hard since the moment they met. There were so many cute and sweet moments in this one but also other parts that definitely made me nervous for them. Luke I definitely fell so hard for and he was such a sweetheart.

Luke Campbell, a professional hockey player and well-known playboy, gets the surprise of his life when one of his one night stands drops a baby at his door, claiming it is his. Luke needs a nanny fast, and his teammate gets his sister Penny Miller to help out. Penny then comes up with an idea to help Luke reform his reputation by marrying him. In return, she wants Luke to teach her how to be less boring. Once Penny's ex and Luke's one-night stand see how happy they are together and with baby Everlee, they both want back into their lives. Are they willing to walk away and go back to their past? Or will they take a chance at what they are starting to feel for each other?

Just a fair warning, do not start this one late at night because you will not want to put it down. I binged this entire book in a few hours because it was so good. Luke was the bad boy hockey player, and Penny was the sweet kindergarten teacher, and together, they were perfection. They helped to balance each other out. They way they loved each other and Everlee was so palpable and heartfelt. This story was full of sweet, tender moments and hot, spicy moments. I loved how hard Luke fell and how big of a sweetheart he turned out to be. Even though this is a standalone, I feel like I would've gotten a better experience had I read the other two books first, but I still loved Penny and Luke's story.

Need Your Peace is the third book in the Tampa Bay Thunder series By Mariah Goodwin.
This book can be read as a stand alone but I recommend reading Need Your Number (#1) and Need Your Midnights(#2) first!

Luke Campbell is a professional hockey player and former play boy that needs a serious image clean up. His coach gives him an ultimatum, clean up his act or lose his spot on the team.

Penny Miller is a Kindergarten and the little sister of Luke's best friend and teammate. She recently got out of a toxic relationship and trying to find her confidence and prove to her ex she isn't "too boring".

Luke, his friends and family are shocked after a one night stand leaves his baby on his door step. Penny offers to nanny Luke’s daughter and suggest a fake marriage to help with his image and show her crappy ex that she has moved on with her life.

Need Your Peace comes out March 13, you don't want to miss out on this cute spicy hockey romance!

This book was so good! It was a quick and easy read with lots of steam! This is book 3 in the Tampa Thunder Series. It can be read as a stand-alone. I have not read the first 2 and did not feel lost at all. I will definitely be going back and reading the first 2 books, though.
Trigger Warning: Verbal Abuse

Penny is a kindergarten teacher who recently got out of a long-term toxic relationship because she was boring. Luke is Penny's brother's best friend and the hot playboy on the Tampa Thunder hockey team. When his 2 week old daughter that he had no clue about is dropped off at his house, he needs to clean up his act and fast. Penny, who has always wanted to be a mother, is asked to be his nanny. Penny suggests they get married to help with Luke's reputation, and in return, he can help her cut lose a little.

Luke and Penny fall hard and fast for each other. Penny, at first, has a hard time believing Luke truly likes her because of her dumb ex Ethan! I so wish Luke would have punched him at least once!! Ethan so deserved it! Luke is this big teddy bear for his 2 girls and would do anything for them! He was always putting them first and doing the sweetest things! And his nickname for Penny! So dang sweet! The ending had me in tears!

Thank you, Mariah Goodwin and Sunny Babe PR, for the ARC!

"That's my f*****g wife"

Okay uh, hi hello chemistry??? 10/10. This was a total BINGE for me - totally devoured it in one sitting (it's shorter, at a little over 200 pages, so it's a quick and hot read!).

The way that Luke and Penny just fell perfectly into place was so sweet, just to die for. How he cares for her and spends every page trying to make her believe how wonderful and beautiful and exciting she is (hey, Ethan? 👎👎👎) is just ughhhhh.

I can't believe I'm writing these words, but I almost wish there was a bit less spice. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining. The spice was SPICIN'. Like on fire, the floor is soaked SPICIIIIIIN', but at points, it felt out of place? Almost "I want to make this chapter longer, so here's something hot." The intimate scenes were SO great, I promise this isn't a complaint, or even a criticism, it just felt like too much plot wise (barely).

Okay back to it - seriously, this was so great. It felt natural. The (semi) forced-proximity had me squealing, knowing that it was SO realistic, for them naturally coming together, fake-marriage plan be damned. They were such a perfect little match.

Thank you SunnyBabePR and Mariah for the chance to read and review!

✨ I received this book as an ARC for my honest review✨

Rate: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is my first book in the Tampa Thunder series, and I am adding the first two books to my TBR list as we speak.

PENNY!!! I LOVE HER! Penny was not prepared for the curveball her ex put her through, but she's an independent woman who needs no man. Penny knows what she wants, a kid, and if a man is not going to give her one, she is going to adopt. Luke, Luke, Luke, our hockey playboy turned daddy overnight... in more ways than one.

After a one-night stand, Luke finds himself a father to a little girl named Everlee and needs help to care for her. Penny is willing to help babysit. While babysitting, Penny comes up with an idea to help his playboy image and herself after the reasons her ex broke up with her. A fake marriage is a win-win situation. Luke gets his image cleaned up, and Penny is no longer considered boring or "too fat". The sleepovers and the stolen glances prove that even though the marriage is fake, their feelings are not.

I loved how Penny stood up to herself with her toxic ex and how Luke showed her she is beautiful just the way she is. This book was SO spicy and had so many cute moments. Luke had me swooning and rooting for him. Penny was a bada*s when dealing with her ex. All in all, loved it and would definitely recommend it!

“Get your f$&@ing hands off my god damn wife.”

Daaaaaaaamn this book was everything and more!!! I absolutely loved it!! The Tamper Thunder Series definitely has only got hotter as the books have gone on because this one was 🔥🔥🔥

Luke and Penny marry to help each other out of a jam but no surprises when there is a cute baby involved that devotion for that little girl makes the man or the woman even more hotter and they end up falling madly in love. This playboy turns into the perfect husband and father over night and I’m totally here for it.

This story line honestly was the sweetest thing ever with Luke not only proposing, but also proposed to Penny be Everlee’s mum.

The plot twists, the romance, the 🌶️ it was all just perfect.

I literally cannot fault a thing and I absolutely loved Need your Peace from start to finish.. so much so I finished this book in one sitting.

Thank you so much @mariahgoodwin for letting me ARC read Need your Peace this Tampa Thunder Series will live rent free in my head and is shaping up to be my favourite series of this year.

I really wanted to completely love this book. However, it felt like I was reading a rough draft that has yet to be edited. I did ARC read book 2 Need Your Midnights and was very friendly with my review. I gave the author the benefit of the doubt and hoped that by book 3 she would have listened to the constructive criticism she received for books one and two. However, this book reads just like the first two books. It's very repetitive with the spice and feels like descriptive paragraphs of the characters' everyday mundane activities.

The story itself had plenty of potential. Single dad and nanny are wonderful tropes. Throw in a horrible ex and you have the makings of a wonderful romance story. Luke is beyond sweet to Penny and Everleah. I had enjoyed the plot but it felt like it took forever for it to play out. I felt like there was a ton of useless filler.
