She’s coming…
I have so many bonds.
So many names scratched into my heart to keep safe.
If I set my game up properly everything will go off without a hitch.
If I don’t we all die.
No pressure.
This is it.
Last call.
I’m going to win this.
Or die trying.
For real this time.

I want to start by saying this isn’t a bad series, I just think that the writing style wasn’t for me.

There’s a couple of plot holes, and the storyline gets forgotten a little, but the characters are funny. It’s clear the writing is reflecting the mental wellbeing of the FMC but at times i found it a little too jerky or too all over for me to follow properly, sometimes I was reading a chapter or two and thinking what’s just happened? But that doesn’t mean it’s bad, reading the reviews lots of people LOVE this series and like I’ve said it’s not a bad series, I just didn’t enjoy the way it was written.

Great series

I really enjoyed this series. The way the fmc was resilient but quiet about it. She was such a caring person but also strong and hilarious in her snark and interactions. The group of guys were varied but I must be part crazy because I definitely fell hard for the crazier ones. This lucky girl! Complete series! Highly recommend.

*Note, there is a mm relationship in this series but UT is not the focal point and the one on screen scene is easy to spot and skip if not your thing.

I loved the first 4 books. In books 5 and 6 Beatrice seemed to be much angrier. I also didn't quite grasp what was going on completely. I'm usually pretty competent. Maybe I just read them too fast. To be fair, there were a lot of characters in this last book that I struggled to keep track of.
Somethings just seemed off. Such as the missing people. When they're found they seem totally normal. Not as if they've been experimented on for the past year.

Overall, for the series, I appreciate the relationship building. I actually enjoyed the villain plot (which usually bores me). I just ended up a bit confused.

I would definitely recommend the series.

Review for all the serie :

So, this was really good.
That’s why I spent most of my vacation reading it. But to be honest, I felt like the ending was a bit butchered, and the last book... was the one I liked the least.
Let’s start with what I loved about the series:
• The writing : Absolutely insane. I adored it. The style was so unique, fast-paced, emotional, and addictive. It really pulled me in.
• Beatrice : She is hilarious. Truly a dream MC for me, because she’s different, but she doesn’t flaunt it or try to stand out. She just lives her life the best she can, powering through situation after situation, barely getting a break. I loved that about her.
• The plot : We don’t always follow it closely (sometimes it feels a bit loose), but it’s still engaging. There’s never a lack of action and the story definitely revolves around the romance more than anything.
• The romance : And that’s tricky to even define because we have five main love interests in this series.

Each relationship is completely different, which is something I really appreciated. But at the same time... I didn’t love all of them 100%. Here’s how I felt about each:
-> Mitri : My favorite by far. Best chemistry, ridiculously charismatic, compelling backstory, psychotic in just the right way... Honestly, I could’ve read an entire series with just Beatrice and him (maybe with Ben in the background). They worked.

-> Ben : Second favorite. The only green flag in the whole lineup. He supports Beatrice through hell and never betrays or mistreats her, unlike all the others at some point.

-> Aodhan : The blandest of them all, in my opinion. We meet him later, and he’s just not very memorable. I liked him and I like berserkers, but honestly, he could’ve been removed and it wouldn’t have made much of a difference.

-> King : I hated him for about three books straight. Toward the end, I appreciated his relationship with Mal, but his bond with Beatrice felt rushed. She clearly doesn’t love him (or Mal) the way she loves Mitri or Ben, she even says so. Their development felt lacking, and I didn’t like some of their actions

-> Mal : He seemed like a sweetheart, and I felt heartbroken for him regarding his relationship with King. But again, his relationship with Beatrice felt rushed. It was slightly more developed than King’s, but still not on the same level as Mitri or Ben.

-> Kimi : Okay, I know a lot of readers won’t agree with me here, but... I didn’t really like him. Yes, he did the most for Beatrice, but also the worst:
he got her imprisoned for years and handed her over to her worst torturer, someone who gave her lifelong nightmares.
And honestly, I didn’t even understand what did he do for her. I saw him more as a fun, crazy, cute friend, but there wasn’t much romantic chemistry there for me.

Now for what I didn’t enjoy:
• Mike. I know it’s not a huge deal, but I really didn’t like this character. He appears mostly in the last two books, and it felt like he became a version 2.0 of the human Beatrice. All the wild stuff that used to happen to her suddenly happens to him, and it felt like the narrative shifted its focus onto him, when she is the main character. He often felt like an annoying third wheel, and I just couldn’t connect with him. Totally subjective, but he irritated me.
• I want a chess game with Mitri !! And more intimate scenes with the others, please. Don’t get me wrong, I loved that the romance took time to build. But still, only one or two scenes per love interest ? That felt like a missed opportunity.
• Bea’s “badass” personnality : We’re constantly told how dangerous and powerful she is, how she could kill anyone, how she might even be the worst of them all... and yet I feel like we missed one or two key scenes of her actually being badass, aside for the scene where she revived people, which we didn't even see. I get the reasons behind it (the goddess, etc.), but I still wish we had that payoff at the end, and we didn’t.

Sorry for the long review and the ranting! I was absolutely hooked by this series and devoured it, but I still came away with some frustrations. That said, I still 100% recommend it, especially if you love intense romance, “morally grey” characters (for the ref), and stories that aren’t afraid to go wild.

This is taken directly from my notes at the end of book 1, Bonding Psychos: "I don't know WTF I just read, but it's like a dizzying carnival ride that I don't want to end."

Please note that the following review is for the SERIES, not each individual book.

First off, this series hit all of my happy buttons. Plot? ✅️
Character driven? ✅️
Unpredictable? ✅️
Large harem? ✅️
Geeky? ✅️
Funny? ❌️ - this wasn't funny. It was freakin hysterical.
Hawt? ✅️ (but know going in, this is a glacial burn series. The smut takes a long time to arrive, but when it does? Im advising you now - batteries or cold showers.)

I saw the series recommended on Facebook, and the title of the first book (Bonding Psychos) alone piqued my interest. I didn't really know what I was getting myself into. And I wouldn't change a thing. However, I tend to fall into the morally gray camp, so even if I could succinctly summarize the plot (which I can't), I wouldn't.

The plot is … phenomenal doesn't even come close. I cannot even begin to write a synopsis. Trust me, bro. Read it. The world building is mind blowing, and I can't think of another romance series that has this depth of character development. In some regards, this is almost more urban fantasy than romance, but the relationship building that winds through the story is delicious. And Bea? A pure delight for such a chaotic good character. (For those who aren't in the know about character alignments, she is just on the “good” side of morally gray.)

All in all, chef's kiss. I'm off to see what other adventures Gina Morris has written!

So, I was right and the relationships with Aodhan, Mal and King felt rushed, but I liked their first times. It was nice to see Beatrice taking what she wanted for once.
How all the problems got resolved in this book was very chaotic, quick and felt a lot less impactful than I thought it would. They struggled with the goddess for so long and that last confrontation felt a bit anticlimactic. Yeah, she fucked up a few people, but no one we were attached to, and it was all reversed in a moment. I was disappointed that the faerie soldiers stayed out of pretty much everything, they were in the story for so long that it felt weird. Also the whole war with humans was resolved completely off page. So many pages of meeting with the different Houses and planning felt a bit redundant, if that was the conclusion.
The whole Kimi reveal was bittersweet and I liked it, but their first time together was a bit disappointing.
Soo, plot-wise I enjoyed the whole series, it was interesting with twists and turns to keep us entertained. Romance-wise? It left a bit to be desired. The only relationship that was great was with Ben.

This series and its characters are incredibly imaginative so huge props to the author for that feat.

I loved being on this wild adventure with this band of genuine cast of crazy ass characters but sometimes I just wanted to pause and luxuriate in the romance of the bonds. That doesn’t even mean sex. I lapped up strategizing with Mitri Trio or cuddling with Ben, antagonizing King and Mal, or being a riot with KiMi or swooning with Aodhan and his accent. I always felt like we were dodging bullets and fighting BBEG. This chick and her guys didn’t even get to rest because they were literally fighting her evil inner goddess in her nightmares. This bitch *points at myself* was fucking exhausted.

And then when we finally got to see the brilliant forethought the author had in planning the bond between Kimi and Beatrice, we got a millisecond of them together and the book was done. It might not be the case with everyone, but I’m a little of the “let me roll in the HFN/HEA for a chapter or seven before you close the book on me type of girl.”

All that said, I think the author has grown throughout this series and I’d probably be interested in checking out future work just on her creativity alone.

Refreshingly DIFFERENT

I read a LOT and so many books blend together or follow the same tropes to the point of exhaustion. This series really kept me entertained and guessing the entire time. Reading Kimi's POV was just confusing enough to make me feel like I might also be a touch crazy - which I loved and was very well done by the author.

There were some grammatical issues, but not many and nothing that another round with an editor couldn't fix. Book 1 was by far the most confusing but after finishing the series I wonder if that was done intentionally. However, some readers may find this off putting.

I'm both shocked and dismayed that this series is the only work listed under this author. I'm definitely going to follow and anxiously await more work from Gina Morris. Bravo!

This book was so much filler that it took till 60% until something happened.
The series started out okay but after book four it just went downhill. Overuse of the phrase "your service".
And honestly nothing really happened except some fever dreams that kept returning over and over again. The whole book was just boring.
The little plot that was going on was resolved very quickly.

Wow. Seriously wow.

This series was so intricate, perfectly paced and unique and I binged it like a cheesecake after being on a no sweets diet. So well written with characters I loved, true crazy, devotion and caring, I just cannot eloquently say how much I loved this series... I stumbled on a gem and I will pass this one on to anyone looking for a great story. Thank you Gina Morris for crafting this, it was excellent story telling!

Did you ever watch LOST? That last season came and you knew. You KNEW there was no way that the writers would be able to tie up all of the crazy plot lines they wrote, but you were so invested, that you watched anyway?

That was this book. All of the build up...and it just ends. The answers provided were in single sentences on the screen before the credits. I can't emphasize enough how sad I am about it. This series was so creative and so cool. And it just ends.

Kimi

What a series and KIMI will be missed. Yep he made the series. Kept it fun, interesting and love that he got his story told at the end.

It’s one of them series that are so addicting, binge worthy and you just can’t stop so when it ends, it hurts. Yep gonna miss Beatrice and the guys. The brownies, the little fairies. It’s been hilarious, joyous and all around entertaining. Highly recommend.

Review for the whole series

I really enjoyed these books. They were unique, I've read ALOT of books, and I've never read any like this one. That being said, it could really use an editor! And what up with the use of your service instead of thank you?

Well, Kimi for the win

The end is here and the players are defeated in a surprisingly easy way - after a fashion at least. It seems the full Crux of the plot it Kimi and the truth behind that, stretching all the way back to the prologue. It’s crazy, confusing and rather nice.

DNF I can’t, I’m 2 chapters in and it all feels forced. The plot holes, lack of any romance and the chaos level writing where we live in “flashbacks” and the characters don’t actually talk through their lives, feelings, trauma etc….

What do you mean this ending didn't have a 100-page epilogue showing Bea and Kimi's kids with secret plans with their little psychopath puppies??

I am spoiling this book and the entire series so if you haven't read it or don't want to know, don't read it. But I read book 1 then jumped over here to read this book because sometimes I have to know how a series is going to end in order to commit to reading it. And reading the 3rd to the last chapter of this series made me think this author is a bit of a storytelling genius and her writing is going to go over some people's heads.

***********

Anyways, you should read this series. It's pretty entertaining and brilliant and knowing the endgame made me want to find out how Bea and her mates got to book 6.
