Protect the Bloodline by Bringing New Witches into the World -
Don't Expect to Live Long Enough to Meet Your Grandchildren...

** We Witches Three is the Demon Isle Witches YA Friendly Adaptation and includes slow burn romances that fade to black...

Tourists want to believe the supernatural is real and The Demon Isle delivers—from the moment they step off the ferry and land on the nostalgia inducing, glowy lanterned streets straight off the pages of yesteryear, or wander down foggy cobblestone sidewalks lined with fortune tellers and magic shops or take one of the haunted tours of the Isle in hopes of catching a glimpse of some mythical creature belonging to a fantasy world.

Ghosts, vampires, werewolves, faeries, mermaids—the sightings are endless and it's the perfect cover. Because while tourists bask in the safety and delight of the possibility, the supernatural community is not only real, but thriving, and hiding right under the noses of tourists immersing themselves in the fantasy.

The locals know the truth.
They know the dangers that lurk around dark alleys and foggy beaches.
But they also know who to turn to if they need help.
The Howard Witches.
They've been protecting The Demon Isle and its inhabitants for many generations.

However, there were once generous numbers of witches fulfilling this duty, whereas today, there are only three witch siblings still alive, which makes balancing love, life, and duty, nearly impossible.

Melinda, the youngest, who has prophetic dreams of people about to die.
Michael, the middle child, and an empath and death reader.
Charlie, cursed with a werewolf bite and the eldest of the siblings.
William, an aged vampire, longtime family friend and mentor to them all.

Together, they protect The Demon Isle from non-stop supernatural trouble seeking to control a hidden source of powerful magic. But when the local sheriff calls them in desperate need of help solving a murder, and Melinda has a prophetic dream that could destroy the life of one of her brothers—the two cases intertwine and will forever change the lives of the Howard Witches...

Found out on here that this series has different versions, and this is the YA version. Never seen something like that before.

Isle of Bones: It took me a while to get into it, but this short book sets up the series. We meet a bunch of paranormal characters, several of which with their own plot that I'm sure will follow as the series progresses. 3,5 stars.

Isle of Wolves: Obviously this one is mostly about Charlie, so werewolf focused. But Melinda gets her own little exciting adventure as well.

Isle of Echoes: Mermaids, romance and enemies. I didn't see the ending coming, but I wasn't surprised or impressed by it.

Overall not bad, after I got into it I wanted to go back, but I don't want to continue the series further either. I'm sure that this series full of paranormal creatures will interest many though.

It was okay. I figured out the ending of who Riley was very early on. I figured out that Eva was more than she seemed. It was pretty easy to figure these things out. Originally, this was three books, I guess, and they were all put together in this one book. It was a bit annoying since we still got the starting language of each book in the middle of this one. Like the characters were all being referred to by their full names, even though we literally just turned a page.

The world seems pretty interesting. An island that is home to a supernatural population and the people who know about them and live with them. And the tourists, who visit thinking it's all just an act and come for the spooky good time. That concept could have really made a good story. But all of the actual plots, which were connected by the siblings, were very shallow and didn't really dive into this world.

The characters are pretty predictable. We have three siblings who are also witches. The oldest is the one who is trying to keep everyone safe and has been taking care of his siblings since their parents died. The middle one is the empath who is trying to figure out his powers. The youngest is the most emotional one who has prophetic dreams. The youngest, the only girl, is also a recluse the beginning because of some past trauma. I think they explained why, but honestly, I can't remember. Over three very short books, she's all of a sudden over her phobias about going out and dealing with people and is fine going out and doing her thing. Okay, great, but how? We hear a lot about her brothers being overprotective, but we don't really see a lot of examples of that behavior. Charlie, the oldest, is also a werewolf. But maybe, because he's never fully shifted. Michael, the middle child, is still having issues with his powers, even though it says that he's had them for a while. So, no one thought it would be a good idea to try to train any of their powers except sporadically? And he was gung ho to get off the island until the girl he liked said she liked him too. After she was in a dangerous situation, of course.

I think it would have been better if I had read it as separate stories. I think they could have really been fleshed out, and the histories and setting could have been expanded more. I feel like each section was kind of about one sibling, but not really. The story felt like it couldn't decide if it was a story mainly about or all of the Howards. Honestly, a lot of their drama could have been solved if they had just talked to each other. I don't know why authors think the main characters never need to talk, but it does sometimes help. Still, it wasn't terrible, and there are more books in the series. But I don't think that it was interesting enough for me to keep reading.

In a world where some people naturally have magic powers, single siblings Charlie, Melinda, and Michael Howard each suffer heartache in a different way. The stories are written at a pace designed to be acted out over three "seasons" of half-hour TV shows. If you like TV, and many people do, here it's reasonably plausible and the characters are easy to like. All that remains is to find the actors, build the sets, tape the shows and see how they fly.

Charmed meets Twilight meets Supernatural?

It's an enjoyable read and I will read the next parts for sure. I want to know how the story of the island, the feuding families and all their supernatural friends and foes continues.
That said, the plot twists are fairly predictable and there are some grammar/spelling issues peppered in.

2.5/5. I liked the story and the book has potential but gets sidetracked all the time. I would have liked the world and magic to be more developed even if fewer things happened. It's easy and fast to read so that was nice.

I liked Charlie most out of all the characters and his story was the best one in my opinion.

I got this book for free on my book app, honestly it was pretty good. Definitely could’ve been more detailed/less rushed but the plot was action packed and I couldn’t put it down

Very cheesy imo, nothing wrong with that, but I got bored quite a bit because of this... other than that, a cute mystery with a large/diverse cast of characters. :))
