Really not Ms. Donnis' best work; this is a part of three short novellas (maybe shorter,) which feels like character and scene sketches more than anything else. Not bad for a very quick read, but neither fulfilling nor satisfying.

I suggest "Trapped," or "Where Are You?" for a more worthwhile read by this author.

Two stars.
