Prince Rose is a rich kid flunking out of college. The only hope for his father not to find out is to retake the finals of three classes. The way he can earn that privilege is to spend his summer at a camp for disadvantaged youth. Of course, he takes the job. The cabins are shared, the food is bland and nothing that he’s used to, but he makes a few friends, something he’s sorely lacking. He also makes a couple enemies, but what keeps him going is the mystery man who is staying in a cabin across the lake from the camp. He’s gorgeous, tattooed, the perfect man to piss off Prince’s father, but so much more. When Prince recovers a cell phone the mystery man throws in the lake and gets it working again, he discovers that the man is even more mysterious than Prince first thought. Caught sneaking around to find out more, will the handsome stranger be one more hurdle in his life or will he be the Daddy-in-shining-armor that Prince has always needed? Prince is part of A Daddy for Summer, a multi-author series. All the books are standalones. So why not stay and read them all?
I love writing, it's been my dream for many years, and in October of 2013, when my first book went live on Amazon, that dream came true.
Writing love stories that are centered on flawed but lovable characters is my passion. Finding love between people isn't easy, nor should it be. Even in a book, there have to be obstacles for the story to feel real.
I am a mother of three amazing people, and three adorable fur babies. I live in Colorado but love many other places besides my home. One state in particular is New Mexico, the state where I was born has always held a place in my heart.
People and places make my stories what they are. Each character I've written is a part of me in some way. Each place I write is as well. Adventures come in many ways, and each of my stories has taken me on an adventure that I treasure.
Come with me on my adventures and fall in love with my characters, as I have. I promise, you will love the ride.
This book is part of the Daddy for Summer series, featuring Prince, a computer genius, and Dex, the mysterious guy across the lake with ulterior motives involving Prince. It is an MM love story, but it’s even more a story about gaining friends, the love of friends, and learning things about one’s self. Prince is a very rich young man, at a summer camp for disadvantaged children, earning the right to retest three of his classes instead of failing them. Unsure what he will find, and not very impressed with the camp as a whole at first glance, what he does find are true friends, both his age and younger; a place where he is accepted, and more importantly, happy; a couple of bullies, because that goes with the summer camp thing; a chance to do what he dreams with his life rather than fitting into the family mold; and yeah, he finds the love of his life, someone who loves him for himself, not his money or what he can do for them. It’s a coming of age story, a finding himself and things that make him happy story, and a story helping him find appreciation for things beyond his comfort zone (like being in a boat in the middle of a lake with 3 kids, or swimming in water with fish stuff—yuck) as well as an appreciation for the natural world around him, and as exposure to human diversity in a way he had never experienced before.
Prince is a lovable character who gives of himself in more ways than one, at ease with younger campers as well as the counselors and staff, and throwing himself into the camp experience while getting in a bit of snooping about the hot guy across the lake. The book kept me interested and engaged, world building for the camp was good.
On a more personal note, it reminded me of a camp I attended 65 years ago. Not much seems to have changed in all this time apparently, camp is camp is camp, only the places and names seem to change, at least from my perspective. An entertaining read, one I would recommend if you want to bring back camp memories.
I received a copy of this book and this is my voluntary review.
I really enjoyed this book. It was so good. This is the first book that I have read in this series and I am so glad I did. This book had me hooked on each page and I couldn't wait to see how everything played and how the story ended.
Prince is a college student who is on the verge of losing his scholarship and one of his professor's recommends that he goes to summer camp to help the kids out. This would help him be able to get back on track for college. He is a rich kid and has experienced being bullied all his life along with being bullied by his father. He isn't able to do what he wants as his father is very demanding on him taking over the company. When he arrives at camp, he doesn't have the best impression's with most people as they think he is like all the other rich kids however he proves them all wrong. He ends up making friends and is instantly attracted to the mystery man across the lake. He finally gets brave and decides to go across the lake and into the cabin where the mystery man is staying.
Prince ends up making friendships, finding a daddy (who he never really knew he needed), forming bonds with younger children and getting the dream job he always wanted. He decides he will donate to the summer camp and a few others. Meeting Dex was the best thing for him and he realizes that once they are able to spend more time together. With Dex by his side, he knows that he can do anything (within reason) and know that Dex will always be there.
Even though this says Daddy, there are not a whole lot of the daddy/boy you are used to reading. You will feel all the emotions throughout the book. When the tragic moment happens, you will feel it in your heart. I can say that I am happy that the bad men got what they deserved.
#I received an ARC through GRR and this is my honest review.
A DADDY FOR SUMMER: PRINCE is part of the same name series by different authors, as well as an introduction to the Carillo Ranch series which, I have to say, I really want to read.
Your first impression of Prince isn't that good but he soon changes his attitude, with the help of Silvio and Anton, not to mention Nat and Montrese. Camp isn't so bad, not when Prince has eye candy to look at in the form of the man in the cabin over the lake, who is just there for the fishing, right?
I thoroughly enjoyed this story, even though it had a few spelling and grammatical errors. It's slow-burn with some sexy times. Although Daddy is mentioned, there isn't much to it which suits the story. Prince needs a Daddy as he's only ever had a father, and Dex is more than happy to be that for him. The rest, they can explore together as time goes on.
I wish I could say I felt sorry for Toby and Fabian's fate, but I can't so I won't!
I really hope we see Prince and Dex in the future books in the Carillo Ranch series, as well as the other supporting characters here, who made the book so much fun to read. Definitely recommended by me.

This was a sweet story and I liked the layers of the enemies that Prince had made in association with Prince's father who was really quite evil. The friends that Prine had made were fun and I loved Prince's generosity to them. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like DDLB dynamic.
This book rocks! The story of Prince and Dex is filled with love, laughter, past hurt and disappointment and is an absolute pleasure to read. Failing college will send Prince to summer camp and it will change his life. He will find himself making friends with some of his fellow counselors who haven’t had the privilege that he has. Silvio and Anton will become his close confidants as the summer progresses. He will find he’s being watched and it will open up a whole new chapter for him when he finds out the reason why. Dex is an amazing guy and protector and I love how he cares for Prince as the two begin to get close. There are lots of great characters in their story and Monnie is one of my favorites! This girl is all sass and an absolute hoot! There will be a bit of danger in the road for Prince but he will come through it stronger then he was before. I truly loved this book and can’t wait to read what comes next!
I read an ARC copy of this book and am volunteering my honest review.
3.5⭐️ I really enjoyed the friendships Prince made while working at the camp. He’s so lonely when he arrives and he makes a bad and snobby first impression, but his new friends react with unexpected kindness. I appreciated that Prince is fairly self aware and tries to do better quickly, throwing himself into camp life and embracing his new friends. Loved it! A little more time spent developing the relationship would have helped make their insta connection more believable. Prince and Dex don’t actually meet until approximately the forty percent mark. So, it’s a bit more camp and kids than I personally would prefer, but I’m sure other readers will enjoy that. I did like the couple, Dex is very good for Prince, nicely filling in some of the cracks left from a privileged but neglected childhood. I just would have loved some more substance in the early part of their relationship, because they pretty great together and really enjoyed the ending.

Prince is a counselor at a summer camp for disadvantaged children. He agrees to go in exchange for a chance to retake his finals in three of his classes that he is failing. He is a child of means who is having a difficult time finding something to motivate him. His father is blocking him from studying what he really wants and now finds himself someplace he does not want to be. However, it is in this summer camp that Prince finds himself among the children that he gets to know and who helps him as much as he helps them, some good friends who see him for who he really is and in the mystery man staying across the lake from the camp. Dex and this camp experience are just what Prince needed to really figure out how to stand up for himself and find the direction he wants to take with his life. There are some haters among the counselors that do not do nice things but for the most part this experience is just what he needed and he gets a caring, protective lover out of it. A Daddy for Summer: Prince by Rain Carrington is part of the 'A Daddy For Summer' series, authored by multiple writers. This installment focuses on the charming romance between Prince and Dex.
I really liked their story. It was sweet and well written, capturing the nuances of their relationship beautifully. Prince and Dex’s journey was engaging, with a well-developed connection between all the characters. The author did a fantastic job of weaving together their backgrounds, emotions, and growth throughout the story.
One of the highlights was the strong bond and chemistry between Prince and Dex, which made their relationship feel authentic and heartwarming. The way they supported each other and grew together was truly enjoyable to read. I loved their HEA!
A Daddy for Summer: Prince is a must-read for anyone who enjoys sweet, well-written romances with strong character connections.
Rain Carrington put together a place that most of us went to, realism with fantasy. A summer camp 🏕️ in the midst of a happy ever after. Yep I said it, a Summer Camp. I used to love going to summer camp to see so many amazing people and discover a world full of incredible things. Well our MC went to his first summer camp because of flailing grades. But when he got there he found his own amazing things. He find friends, big and small, with an attraction to a stranger who lived across the lake. It’s funny how you connect with people you don’t normally be around. Come join in a world of finding friends, meeting a stranger, having adorable chats with adorable children, and falling in love with each them all. I’m giving Prince (A Daddy for Summer) 5 stars ⭐️, totally worth it……………
But not everyone is good in the world of family and money. But friends can be far more important to enjoying life and love is not limited to families.
Some families lack love and caring. But some friends can become lovers and even daddies if the connection is real and the timing is right.
Rejecting family can be difficult, but cannot be avoided at times. Bullying rich idiots can make life difficult and painful, but paybacks can be far worse when the wrong people get involved in the situation.
A prince and a king can rule their world, but Toby and his buddy trying to impress Prince's father can not be allowed to destroy the Camp for the kids that need it.
Good and love will always win out, but the pain and suffering created by trying to destroy something that someone else enjoys is not worth the joy that is lost.
A little bit more than the obvious. Prince is a man of privilege and gets away with much until he nearly flunks out of school. He has a few conditions to meet before he can retake his failing classes. Prince goes to camp and makes friends which he never had. He finds Dex, a stranger across the lake who becomes so much more. Dex spends his summer learning a few things and growing up. There are many nuances in the story that move us to liking Prince, his new friends and Dex very much in an entirely new dynamic. Dex protects and comforts Prince in a way his own Father never would. Fantastic Friend support structure. Good story. Opens a lot of doors. Great cover art! Nicely done. I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.
"I’m not used to… roughing it. I’m not used to being without my electronics either, but I like it more than I thought. I may have been made to come, but I’m grateful.”
I really enjoyed this book. I loved Prince and the story really is a journey for him. A rich kid having to work at a camp for disadvantaged youth in order to not fail his three classes was out of his comfort zone, but it gave him so much more than he expected going in- friends, growth, love, and direction. Some enemies too, but even that was fun. I liked the way Prince handled himself. I liked Dex and thought he and Prince made a perfect match. I don't want to say too much because the story completely hooked me and I enjoyed learning things on my own. 5 stars
This story is a precursor to the Carillo Ranch series. It's also part of a multiauthor series Daddy for Summer. Prince is original, but not terribly well written. Missing or incorrect words. Tense changes, sometimes first person, sometimes third. It definitely pulled me out of the story. If there were half stars, I'd give Prince a 3.5. Overall, I liked this story. The characters are interesting, both main and secondary. There's quite a bit of steam between Prince and Dex. The worldbuilding is quite good. But I think I would have liked this book had it a better edit. I received an advance copy of this book and this is my review.
I really enjoyed this one. Prince is a young man flunking out of college and desparately trying to win his fathers approval. In order to make up his grades Prince is sent to be camp counselor and Camp Sunnyside for the summer. His is ultra rich, and fears that everyone will hate him, because of his money. But Prince is anything but conceited. His is humble, kind, and eager. Prince feels like he finally has some true friends, loves being in nature, and with the kids. If only a georgous stranger wasn't living in a cabin across the lake, who might just give Prince everything he wants and needs.
Prince is forced to attend summer camp in exchange for not flunking out of college. When he arrives he meets Dex, who was covertly sent by the mob to recruit him for a job. While the plot was very much an ‘insta-love’ premise, Prince and Dex were cute together.
I think the best part of the book, though, were the friends Prince made at the camp. Silvio, Anton, Nat and Monnie all cared for Prince a great deal, even when he was a bit insensitive with his words. They were very clearly true friends to Prince. 3.5 stars
I enjoyed this story. Was not a fan of Prince in the beginning of the book but definitely fell in love with him towards the middle of the book. I do have an issue with the book though because it's labeled as a daddy book it's put under the daddy category but for me they're just really wasn't much about a daddy relationship to this I mean the word Daddy was you several times but that was really about it so I found that part lacking. But if I just read it as a regular story not expecting the daddy component of it it was an enjoyable book and I liked it.
Prince may come from a wealthy family and have access to the perks that provides, but it definitely hasn't brought him friends or any feelings of self-worth. When he goes to spend summer working at a summer camp to earn a second chance to pass some exams he's flunked he finds friendship not based on his money and a mystery man living in a cabin near the camp. As he learns about Dex and they meet, both discover they just might be what the other has been missing. Another winning entry in this series.
Prince was born with a silver in his mouth. His father expected him to follow him into the family business, but Prince got in trouble in college and at the request of his college counselor, he was sent to summer camp, as a counselor. Prince did think he would survive, but he did with the help of new friends and the kids. In the process, he met Dex, a mob headhunter. One thing lead to another, and through pain from his father and jealous enemies, their relationship, blossomed.
This Book is FAN-FREAKING-TASTIC!!! This one of the standalone Books in A DADDY FOR SUMMER Multi Author Collection. I Loved This Book!! RAIN CARRINGTON gave these men an AMAZING Summer. So many GREAT fun characters. Beside Prince and Dex you'll love Monnie and Nat. I was laughing out loud. This Book was just fun for me. I hope everyone enjoys it as much as I did. I HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK AND THE A DADDY FOR SUMMER SERIES!!!!!!!!!!
A great multi author series in my favourite trope! I do love a Daddy book! I thoroughly enjoyed this book and found Prince to be such a lovable character even though in a completely alien environment for him. The plot development was excellent and perfectly paced and I loved the efforts Prince goes to to catch his mystery Daddy! Great read. I received a free arc copy from GRR and this is my honest review.
I really enjoyed this story about Prince and Dex which is part of a multi author series of standalone stories. I really liked Prince as a character and loved how he opened up to the camp experience and made friends and enjoyed himself and I think he really deserved to meet someone like Dex that was going to care for him and treat him special after having to put up with such a terrible father. Really enjoyable read.
He is a Rick kid flucking out and he needs to set his grades out before his father finds out. So summer camp here he goes, there he will make a few friends as well as a few enemies. He will notice a man across the lake and he will find their phone. He gets it working and he is caught looking through it. What is going to happen? Will it become more? Will a summer fling do? See how it will all go
Nah, not the type of Daddy and Boy dynamics I love to read, and their story ended with a cliffhanger, and I think this book was just the beginning of their story. If the readers want to know more about Prince and Dex, they need to read the author's upcoming book in a new series. I'm hoping that Prince and Dex won't end up in an MMM relationship with Marius, Dex's cousin.

Prince and Dex’s story was good. I enjoyed the connection between all characters and the HEA that these two got. I am really looking forward to more from this series.
I received an e-book copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
A Daddy for Summer: Prince by Rain Carrington is part of the A Daddy For Summer series by multiple authors. This is the story of Prince and Dex. I really liked their story. It was sweet and well written.
I’m so excited for the characters in this book with all the new stuff coming together for them. With all the different challenges and twist and turns that was accomplished with Dex and Prince and how they found their happiness
The blurb is a good guide of the storyline. The characters a really well written. The secondary characters including the younger children/kids were super fun. A good read for sure! I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
Sweet, endearing with a touch of spicy. I expected this read to be heavy on the Daddy/Boy dynamic but I wasn't feeling much of it. Nonetheless, this relationship was still pretty cute.
* I received an ARC from GRR, this is my open and honest review *
I really enjoyed this story. This was a slow burn with some fantastic characters. Prince and Dex were complete opposites and yet they just fit together. This was a really great story.
This was so good i loved the way prince grew during the summer and i loved the kids at camp this was the first book i read from this series and now i cant wait for the others
