Milly Taiden (also writes as April Angel) was born in the prettiest part of the Caribbean (to her) known as the Dominican Republic. Currently, she resides in New York City with her husband, bossy young son and their little dog Speedy.
When she’s not working full-time, texting with her best friend Heidi in England, chastising her son for pulling the dog’s ears, shopping with her sister Jewel or watching scary movies with her husband, she can be found writing on her laptop.
She’s addicted to shoes, chocolate, Dunkin Donuts coffee and JIMMY THOMAS covers!!!
Captivating addition to this wonderful series, characters that hold you riveted with wonderful stories This was a simply spellbinding read and I found that once I started reading it was impossible to put the book down till, I reach the end and discovered the outcome. I do not want to spoil this read so will be very careful about how much I divulge so that you will be left looking forward to your own wonderful travel throughout these wonderful pages. Leila Camor is the professor of Divination within the Sorcerers Academy, this is a very important position and she and her mentor Xanthus have been working side by side as she shows him that she is able to manipulate time, unfortunately she has not yet been able to completely have the spell work but continues to try, try, try… King Rehn is unable to understand that his prisoner has been able to escape the dungeon and it could only have been achieved with the assistance of magic. When he has this confirmed he decides that they must be going to the Sorcerors Academy, both the King and his men head there to retrieve the prisoner but only find his mate, which was totally unexpected. I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the wonderful writing.
4 Stars Favourite blurb: "His inner bear savored her touch as much as he did, though it was all too brief."
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
For the first 30%, there is not much progress in the romance but after the 30%, the pace of romance picked up. The steamy scenes are steamy. The book is quite predictable though. I liked the plot and pace at the end when the villain is revealed but the pace of the first 30% makes it a bit difficult to want to finish the book.
I recommend pacing the story evenly and not making it too fast to develop at the end. There is not much problem with Leila getting used to a mate and position as a queen as shown in the synopsis.
My favourite parts are when Leila is rescued and admitted to her position as Rehn's mate and queen.
I give the book 4 stars because it can be improved but it is generally a good read
Thanks to Milly Taiden ARC team for this copy of ARC.
Reviewed in the United States on August 2, 2024 Leila an instructor at the Sorcerer's Academy finds herself in for several surprises that will change her whole life in a matter of minutes. Leila finds a cute guy bursting through the door who happens to be a king. Rehn a bear king who has traced a escaped prisoner to the Academy gets a surprise he wasn't prepared for. But the king finds a lot more than a. prisoner when his eyes fall on a woman being attacked. A surprising romantic suspense with a whole lot of heart and determination. Touching characters. I read a review copy without obligation. I volunteered an honest review.
This is book 4 in the Wildwood Shifter series and it is the best one yet. They all start with the kings seeking a witch or sorceress to enhance their powers. From the first chapter this book was a page turner. Following King Rehn and Leila as they discover who is behind the threats and the awakening of their bond to each other. Great read. Loved it.
I received a copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
Some people dream of being able to travel back in time. Leila actually possessed that power, but lacked the ability to unlock it. Until Rehn, King of the Forest Mountain Kingdom, literally crashed into her life. Danger and treachery lurk around every corner, as Leila struggles to gain control of her powers and her feelings for the bear king.
This book was a great addition to this series. I loved the characters and the story held me captivated until I turned the last page.
Leila Camor is the Professor of Divination at the Sorcerer's Academy (she is nothing like Sybill Trelawney in Harry Potter, lol). She and her mentor, Xanthus, have been working to prove that she can manipulate time, but haven't gotten it to work. When a crazed man shows up in her office demanding that she alter the past, she has no idea what to do to convince him that she can't.
King Rehn Tahyrst can't believe his prisoner has escaped from the dungeon. It is soon apparent that he had help - magical help. When it is confirmed that the man is heading to the Sorcerer's Academy, the king and his men rush to retrieve him. A scream leads them to an office where he finds - his mate?
Much more to this story. I was given an advanced copy of this book by the author. My review is voluntary.
King of Forest and Fur (Wildwood Shifters Book 4) by Milly Taiden. When bear shifter King Rehm saw Sorceress Leila he knew she was his fated mate but he had to keep her safe because someone was after her power of time travel but the person who wanted her power was very surprising and unexpected.
I can't believe it. She's hit another one out of the park this latest addition to the series. I look forward to the next. I did receive this book as an ARC, but this is my honest review.
