A LITTLE ABOUT KATE...
Kate Angelo once sold a lion to a circus in Shreveport after her mom realized lions weren’t great house pets. Growing up, Kate was a bookworm, dog groomer, exotic pet wrangler, horse trainer, cowgirl, and teenage pool shark. After aging out of foster care, Kate cultivated her inner computer nerd and worked as a web programmer. It was during a visit to Australia that Kate encountered Jesus and left the corporate world to pursue a life in ministry.

From her home in Southwest Missouri, Kate serves alongside her husband, strengthening and encouraging marriages and families as the Vice President of their nonprofit. After raising their 5 children, Kate and her husband are now fluent in both sarcasm and eye rolls—a language they plan to teach their grandkids.

With Willow the long-haired chihuahua taking up half her desk space, Kate writes thrilling stories with flawed characters who encounter hope and healing while ducking danger along the way.

For such a short story, Tangled Evidence draws the reader right into a murder, a family member with mental illness, and a divorced couple who never stopped loving each other. Kate Angelo is a new favorite suspense author of mine, and I can't wait to read more of her stories!

For such a short story, within Tangled Evidence, Kate Angelo touched on topics that are sure to divide a marriage: lack of faith and hope, loss of a child, loss of seeing a spouse daily, and loss of trust. Detective Will Sears never divorced his wife, Maggie, however, he began building on the Rock that would become the Cornerstone of his marriage. As Will and Maggie begin to realize that her brother Todd's schizophrenia is induced due by his medication, things become clearer to them and immediately.

Will realized that if the truth could set him free emotionally, physically, and spiritually, it was worth testing out his heart to find it. He could find hope that he could one day get answers to see him reunited with Maggie. He could somehow find the truth that true love is ever lasting. Angelo hit every hard topic with a truly gentle touch and it was evident to see that God through His saving grace is never ending.

I give this book five stars and credit this story of her heart filtered through 🥰 God's saving grace. Angelo's faith, creativity and the power of words make this short story a must-read!!

A serial killer of young women is on the prowl. Detective Will Sears is on the case. His assistant District Attorney wife Maggie is estranged from him after a tragedy. Could brother Todd who has a mental issue be the culprit?
This is a short story but is told in a complete, concise way. Second chance for Will and Maggie as they try to help her brother Todd.
Ms. Angelo puts heart and faith into the story as part of the healing for Will and also hope for Maggie.

Although this was a short, suspenseful read, Angelo tackles some heavy topics such as grief, the disappearance of a child, a couple wanting to reconcile and give their marriage another try, mental illness, and finding hope and peace in Christ in Tangled Evidence.

Detective Will Sears found a lifeless body of a drug addict. Crime scene technician Sean Hudspeth (Huds) gathered the evidence. Was the drug addict's death a homicide?

My favorite quote was: "When you put your faith in Jesus, He'll be your rock so that when storm's come, you won't get washed away.'

This short book packs a punch the reader won't forget. I give this little book 5*. Be sure to read the author's note at the end.

This story opens at the scene of a crime and leaving the detective and crime scene technicians with quite a few questions to follow up on. Todd and Maggie had been trying to work through the loss of their son .....
But before the words pour out of my mouth, this is a short story and I don't want to reveal too much. There are a few side stories that make up the whole. This is well written and gives God the glory for helping us through the tough times.
This book was recommended by another Christian author and I am pleased to add Kate Angelo to my TBR pile. This is my honest and voluntary review.

Tangled Evidence is a short story but it has lots of action! You will wonder if the deaths that keep happening are murder or suicide! Assistant District Attorney Maggie Sears and her estranged husband, Detective Will Sears, attempt to make sense of everything that is happening and to protect her mentally ill brother, Todd. I recommend this book to anyone who likes a fast paced book with a happy ending. I received a complimentary e-book of Tangled Evidence from the author. This is my honest opinion.

“Tangled Evidence” is a short novella about a serial killer and about two people finding peace.
Neither strand is believable.
The serial killer, who has successfully hidden his identity over a period of months, more or less hands himself in.
And finding peace is really only a matter of accepting a god into your life.
It is not good.
2 Stars.

I grabbed this as a free ebook after signing up for the author's newsletter. It's a novella featuring Detective Will Sears and his prosector wife, Maggie. They've been estranged after the tragic loss of their son, as they isolated themselves in their grief. Will comes to know Christ and found peace and healing, desiring to reconcile things with his wife. Meanwhile, Maggie's brother who struggles with schizophrenia finds himself in some trouble.

A suspenseful, and sweet, short story. Looking forward to more from this author.

A suspense novel that is so much more! It deals with some hard circumstances but also shows that Jesus is the only way to receive healing in the midst of tragedy.
