This is the sequel to The Wrong Place at the Right Time. Mary's roommate, Ashley has been seeing her dominatrix, The Judge, for over a year and now she's decided she wants a real relationship like the one Mary and Jackie have.
The Judge doesn't take Ashley ending things with her very well. She assaults Ashley in the women's restroom of the court house after Ashley appeared before her on a custody case where the law firm Ashley works for was representing the mother.
After seeing Ashley, The Judge feels the need to release her sexual energy with a stranger and is set up to pick the wrong woman. The Judge gets herself in a very bad position and calls Ashley to come to her rescue.
The consequences of The Judge's bad choice may be the end of her career, but it has also brought Ashley and her closer.
Can Ashley and The Judge work things out and be a real couple, or will the publicity and their own stubbornness tear them apart for good?

I honestly thought this book would be better than the first one but nope. It's just as bad. Still lots of grammar and spelling errors to be found but this time it only had one god awful character.

I hate, loath and despise it so much when an author tries to write about BDSM and turns it into a hatchet job which is what happened with the character of Jean 'The Judge' Carlisle.

Since when is it ok for a domme to take her jealousy and frustrations out on her sub? Here's a line from the book to illustrate what I mean: For one thing, The Judge would probably hurt her for real if she tried.

The thing that shocked me the most however happened around the 17% mark: For me there was no way Jean could be redeemed after doing that. What happens in the bedroom is one thing but that was uncalled for.

I wish the author had Ashley knock Jean TF out or at least call her out on her behavior but instead she made her fall in love with her. I'll have to watch at least 20 kitten/puppy video's now to cheer myself up!

Liked it. Ashley (Mary's roomate from The Wrong Place at the Right Time ) gets her novella here. Seems her Dom (Jean) gets in a bit of a compromising position. As with the first one, this could have used an editors/beta's brush. I thought from the first book there would have been more of their BDSM aspect, but that wasn't the case really. All in all an entertaining read.

The rating is for the story. I was tempted to knock off a star because it needs to be run through a proofreader, but I liked the story and characters too much.

A very enjoyable read and it's actually not so much about bdsm relationships, but about two people coming together even when shit hits the fan. Most of the story happens after Ashley unexpectedly broke off with Jean and after Jean being caught in a very compromised position. It's very heart warming to read about Ashley's love and support to Jean and seeing Jean Jean slowly melting towards Ashley.

New Author

Ms Tudor is a new author to me. Judge Not is not t he story I was expecting. The stories focus of was actually about professional women living in the closet. I loved the characters and can't wait to read more Ms.Mercer's with work.

I really enjoyed this book by M.E. Tudor. It was my 1st book by this author. "Judge Not" is actually a sequel to "The Wrong Place At The Right Time." But fear not, you don't really  need to read its predecessor first in order to follow the story of this book. The main protagonist of this book, Ashley, was introduced briefly in "The Wrong Place..." whilst the other protagonist wasn't.

I really loved Jean. Also known as "The Judge," the dominatrix, Jean was whom Ashley had been seeing for a year. However, Ashley, decided one day that she wanted to be in a serious relationship instead of just playing a role for The Judge. So she ended their arrangement, much to Jean's fury. I loved the chemistry between Jean and Ashley. Even though they ended things abruptly and badly, when Jean was in trouble, Ashley was there for her. Their push-pull connection, Jean's need to be dominating but Ashley wouldn't allow her to, made for an intriguing dynamic. Although Jean didn't show just how much she cared for Ashley during their Dom/sub partnership except anger & coldness toward Ashley all that while especially their break-up, giving Ashley the impression that she only cared about the D/s play, hence, no possibility of a real relationship, Tudor's brilliant words depicted Jean's inner emotions, struggle, sadness, and insecurity perfectly. I could feel all her emotions that splayed on the pages in affective words which gave me a thorough understanding of what she was going through, especially when she lost Ashley as her bedroom play partner and then got herself into a bad situation that could destroy her career! Talk about having a bad time!

Ashley, underneath it all, had a deep affinity to Jean, no matter how hard she tried to stay away from her after the break-up. When Jean had no choice but to seek Ashley's help with her awful predicament, Ashley jumped at it without question and persisted in helping Jean in any way she could, personally and professionally. I loved the connection that Ashley and Jean had as they nervously forged a quiet friendship despite their less-than-ideal past. I got to ride with them as they journeyed through their friendship which gradually turned into a deeper, emotional relationship. It was a thoroughly addictive ride as I devoured the pages quickly, getting more excited when it looked like they'd fall in love and venture into a real, romantic relationship! The relatively slow-burn pace was a delight because I wanted to see how Jean reconciled with true feelings for Ashley and let go of her inner struggle, her insecurities about falling in love and giving her heart to someone who knew her weaknesses, constantly challenged her, someone who could go toe-to-toe with her real self and her dominatrix character at any given time. In the end, the love Jean had for Ashley grew deeper and her yearning for Ashley to be in her life got stronger, ultimately winning over Ashley's heart, body and soul. Well, what do ya know! Ashley literally tamed the previously untamable dominatrix, good and proper! Awwww ... ADORBS!! :D

In summary, "Judge Not" was a thoroughly exciting, intriguing story to read. I literally inhaled it at top speed! It was quite original (at least I never read anything like it before!), the kink play was written tastefully and the pace of their romance was exceptionally relevant and appropriate as Tudor deftly weaved the plot into the nook of how they really felt for each other. The plot was brilliantly portrayed especially because of my love for legal/law subject matters!

I applaud Tudor for creating such a memorable character like Jean! A long-time dominatrix who happens to be....a JUDGE!!!! FCK ME!!! I LOVE IT!!  Well done, Ms. Tudor!

Sweet
This was a sweet and erotic romance. There was a bit of BMSM but just a touch. A bit more would have been nice and the erotic scenes well done.

Then setting could have taken place anytime from fifteen years ago up till today. The Judge in the
story was having to publically come out. I forget how easy it is for me to be out and how truly difficult it still must be for a public persona.

I enjoyed this book because it did not demand anything from me. It is a true romance, contently wrapping me in its story and let me relax into its warm, soft words. I truly needed a book like this and am very glad I had the chance to read it.

Thank you Ms Tudor.

Excellent

This is a continuation of this author's previous book The Wrong Place. But both can be read without the other. The characters are the same, just more in-depth. It's a great story. Serious issues are raised but there is also humour. Or maybe that's just my warped sense of humour. Anyway it's a great book one with the option of a sequel (is that an big enough hint?). Enjoy I did.

From dark to light

I really enjoyed the story of Jean and Ashley. There was one thing that I felt was distasteful and that was the comment about Princess Diana. For that alone I took off a star. If you don't like submissive\dom relationships this book is definitely not for you.

This was a great read! I read in the right place at the wrong time first and was happy to see the characters continued on in this story. The dramatic twist and love scenes will keep you turning pages
