My first thought was that I could read this to preschoolers since it's an easy book. It is pretty easy to read, but as I started reading more of it and came to the number eight, I grew tired of reading the numbers over and over (8 bunnies did this, 8 bunnies did that, etc.). The rhyming is catchy, clever, and I do enjoy it, but I wouldn't like reading this to anyone, because reading the same number more than three times is tiresome (at least for me). I pushed through to the end, but I would be so annoyed if I had to read this out loud. The illustrations are really cute though and the book is a great way to introduce math to little children or brush up on multiplication for some older children (to maybe second grade). The book goes all the way up to 12 x 12.

Listened to the book online.

Rhyming descriptions of bunnies and their doings which happen in squared numbers: One bunny doing one thing is one bunny, two bunnies doing two things, is four bunnies, etc.

The books uses multiplication to show the squares of numbers 1-12. On each page a paragraph represents the number and uses a little tune to help children remember the number multiplied by itself (square) For example, "Count the bunnies a the ball, Rabbit partners, short and tall. Now the music comes alive, And 5 x 5 is 25." I think this book would be great for children trying to rememer their multiplication facts. It is also a great book to use as a model. The teacher could model how you can use words to come up with math rhymes and then, the children could try to come up with their own. This would be neat for late 3rd graders, 4th, and 5th.

This book would be a great mini-lesson to open or reinforce the topic of multiplication. The fun visuals would be great for getting kids engaged in the story, but would also help them remember facts later down the road. I would definitely have this book available in my classroom and at least use it in a center, but I could also see how a teacher could incorporate this into the entire lesson.

This was one of my favorite books growing up, and if anyone finds a copy of it, let me know! The bunnies rock. And you learn to multiply (get it, bunnies? Multiplying? Genius!!)

This a great book to introduce multiplication to students. This book gives students a visual of what happens when you multiply.

This book is cute, funny and great for a math lesson. As the number of bunnies continue to grow you can teach multiplication to your students. It is loads of fun and the kids will really enjoy it.

This book would be perfect as a mini lesson on multiplication. This has the double multiplication problems starting from 1 going up to 12.
