He sought revenge and ended up in a different direction

Reno wanted too get back at his dad for the way he left his family like they were nothing, but from the moment he met lisette he started looking at things I. A different way especially after he met his siblings having lost his sister rhyne who was sold by her mothers boyfriend it brought a protective nature automatically with in them. The book ends leaving you wanting to know what happened to all the characters especially rhyne

This was such a great Book

It was so exciting to read the story of Reno and Lisette. From the beginning Lisette knew that she wanted Reno. And she meant to have him. Reno was such a good man. From the moment he and Lisette met. They were drawn to one another. Just a wonderful Love Story.

***POSSIBLE SPOILERS***

The description of this book had me excited. The cover is beautiful and represents a couple in the city. Betrayed is a promising start to an interesting interracial serial. It marries sexual teasing and drama to humor effortlessly. As it is part of a series, it gives you enough grit to sink your teeth into while keeping you slightly curious if your lingering questions will be answered in the next installment.

Secondary characters in this book all seem to be just as important as MCs Reno & Lisette. I chuckled at Daniela's reaction when she discovered Reno was her long lost brother:

"Please don't cry. I didn't mean for you to find out this way." DJ said as he pressed a kiss on her temple.
"That's not the reason, stupid. I just can't believe I now have to suffer two brothers and not just one." She smiled through her tears.

Reno and Lisette’s first love making scene left little to be desired or imagined. The description did not have to be erotic or crude in details but what was provided was a letdown. I felt the teasing Lisette did throughout the course of the book was more captivating than losing her virginity as indicated by the quote below.

“Take me to bed.”
“Not yet, I need to control my hunger for you. I don’t want to hurt you.”
“That’s inevitable.”
“But it doesn’t mean I can’t make it easier on you.”
A warm brandy feeling filled his belly when she nipped at his jaw. “Make me yours.”
“You have always been mine.”
For me, it felt as if I had missed a page or a scene but nope- that was it.

I was surprised at the overwhelming errors throughout this book which begins in the prologue. These errors were in the form of spelling, punctuation, & word choice. Since I have been gifted with a free copy of Betrayed for an honest review I'm hoping my copy is an unedited version as I've never encountered this many errors in the numerous books I read. Also, at times I felt the transitions from characters and/or situations did not flow well forcing me to reread passages.

Despite the errors and occasional lack of coherent flow, I was able to complete this read and I'm looking forward to reading book 2 (On Call) in the series to see if Reno's sister Rhyne is located. Betrayed has the potential to be a good if not a great serial if editing and transitions are addressed. Overall, an OK read for a lazy day.

Although I enjoyed the characters and parts made me chuckle, I cannot rate this read any higher than 2.5 stars for the overwhelming editing errors.

Not a strong book
I felt like this book had a lot of problems with the flow of the chapters and the summary/scene. I feel that she NEEDS to work on beta testing to find errors and changing scene.
For me I felt it was a great plot but there's alot that she can improve on so she doesnt alienate readers. My biggest problem is the fact that she doesnt describe the characters or she transitions to another character point or scene but its done too rapidly or she doesnt set the scene or explain the background of each character. Overall i felt like she rushed through and didnt take the time to connect with her characters.
She needs to work on those items from my point of view she could be a great writer but she needs to take the time to develop as a writer and take a creative writing course or join the local RWA chapter. Spend time developing on craft you have great characters but you are rushing the over all plot.

It's not worth the price at all! A virgin heroine who acts like a slut from the beginning? There was no romance, it's pure lust. Does that make sense? This is so not my kind of book. I didn't even bother to finish it. Dissapointing!
