I've faced some terrible odds before. Some terrible foes, too. Never so many. Never all at once.
It's going to take all my magical know-how and a lot of help to stop the stream of supernatural criminals from flooding out of the shadow realm and wreaking havoc on our world.
Good thing I know a few awesome witches!

Christine Zane Thomas is the pen name of a husband and wife team whose love of mystery and sleuths spurred the creation of their own mysterious writer alter-ego.
While not writing, they can be found in northwest Florida with their two children and schnauzer, Tinker Bell.
Their love of food takes them all around the South. Sometimes they sprinkle in the occasional trip to Disney World. Food and Wine is their favorite season.
Constance and Dave are newlyweds when the town mayor is found dead...but no just dead, possibly ritualistically sacrificed. As the mystery unfolds, all sort of other shenanigans go on. This last installment closes up the series, tying all loose ends neatly in a bow. Nothing seemed super surprising or harrowing, so there wasn't the excitement of a vast mystery as much. A cute little epilog continues the legacy of midlife witching as the story closes.
Favorite Line ~ "Books don't end. Not really. The characters live on. Something else happens after the last page, even if it's not written down."
A new foe and a final story. I've enjoyed Constance's journey and this book was no exception. There are things going bump in the night again in Creel Creek and, as usual, it's up to the witches and their familiars to figure out what's going on before there are more bodies. I have to admit I even teared up a bit at the end, but for the love of god, get a better proof reader! There were so many mistakes!
While I enjoyed a final visit with the characters, the book had a melancholy tone. The murder mystery was interesting. At times the book seemed to jump from one thought to another or introduce a random change without explanation. If you e read the other books in the series, read this to wrap it up.
