In the next part of the series, Libby receives the charm bracelet at her aunt and uncle's sweet shop where she is overjoyed to have made a new friend in Cedric, but dismayed to discover that he's the son of the new sweet shop owners in their village and their new competition.

As she deals with a broken friendship with her old best friend and discovers ways to help her new friends and move on, she also comes across a mystery to do with her Great Aunt who's just passed away.

A sweet read about the joys of friendship despite obstacles or loyalties in the way. Libby shows maturity for a young character but still shows her childish side loving to play with friends and animals and take a break from being a young helpful mini adult too.

I thought this book was really good because Libby was looking for the jar with the poem inside. When she was looking through the journals she looked through one and found the poem inside. So when Cedric found out that Libby´s aunt and uncle works at the sweet shop he got upset that he lied so they wouldn´t meet up at the park. Libby and Sabrina made a booklet of drawings and when Libby met up with Cedric she gave it to him. So now they are still friends and they are talking and meeting at the park again. It was so adventurous and had ups and downs in it.

Adorable book I read with my daughter. It focused on friendship and the importance of having and being a good friend. Great lessons for an 8-yr old to hear.

I like this book well enough, and I wonder what will happen to this charm bracelet in the end?

The only moral I liked in this book was the concept of knowing when to let a friend go. You think this is my friend so we'll be together forever, or we can work this out. But sometimes people aren't REALLY your friends, and it will work for a little while, but after that you may just have to let them go. That's why I don't like using the word 'friend' lightly for people, but 'acquaintance', or '__-buddy'/ I haven't found a 'friend' yet. Only nice, people from the places I frequent.

Also after reading this, now I have to try writing a haiku. :D

Thanks for Reading!
