Can a 'broken' person really love again? Can two people let go of their past and their fears and learn to trust and love? You will not regret Taking this reading adventure and finding out what true love really means to someone who has been broken as a child. I fell in love with Reid in Book 1 of this series, 'If I SaY Yes', I couldn't wait to see how strong his love would be for Liza and how far she would go to keep his love. Brandy took me on a roller coaster of feelings: anger, sadness, excitement and suspense. There were several times I felt the sadness just as much as the character did, Brandy really knows how to pull you into story. One minute I wanted to hug Liza and tell her that everything would be all right and that I knew Reid loved her endlessly. The next minute I wanted to slap her and tell her she was being childish and to get over herself! I also fell in love with Marco, the dominant, smart, sensible, down to earth and deep down sincere PI. I really hope there's more to the series and Brandy delves into Marco's story as well. If you love a little suspense with your romance and a little HEA, you HAVE to check this story and the whole series out!

After reading If I Say Yes I was anxious to learn more about Reid and Liza so I'm glad to be able do that with If I Say No. This book was more about Reid and his brother Rhett, who was really messed up and wanted to cause as much pain as he could to Reid and anyone Reid cared for. Reid and Liza's love is clearly very strong. Because he has such deep feelings for Liza, Reid felt responsible for the bad things that happened to her because of his brother. I felt sorry for him because he really thought he was a bad person.

Brandy is a very illustrative writer who creates an entire world for her audience to get lost in. Every aspect of this novel is fully developed in a manner that you can’t help but picture. She presents her readers with a great suspenseful book full of action, intrigue and great characters.

I would like to thank the author and the publisher of If I Say No for giving me this opportunity of reading and reviewing this fabulous book.

Another hit by Brandy! With just two books so far, she has quickly moved up to favorite status for me! This one has a lot of suspense still, has a serious Holy Crap! moment and has Reid and Liza still trying to figure out how to love. There were so many ups and downs through this book that I couldn't put it down! Only downside for me is that I feel there was a conversation that should have happened between Reid and Liza at the end that didn't, but it was still very satisfying. I can't wait to see what's next!!!

I loved how this book picked right up where the last one finished and ended Liza's story line and then moved ahead with Reid's story. I was unable to put this book down. I enjoyed how the characters grew more in this book and how their relationship grew and was able to deal with more trouble. This was the perfect ending to Liza and Reid's story. Great suspense and lot of romance. I can't wait to see where Jellum takes her writing career next because this author has talent.

The unfinished mysteries of book 1 have been solved. After spending most of this story apart because of all their secrets Reid and Liza work together to bring down his brother. We have to then assume they've had the big talk and worked through their self doubts because they have a HEA.
Please also consider a more thorough proof reading. Small words make a big difference.

Are you looking for a thrilling romantic suspense series that will take you on an exhilarating roller coaster ride? Well then sit down, buckle up, and get ready to be captivated by the riveting Say Something Series by author Brandy Jellum.

In If I Say Yes, the first book in the Say Something Series, author Brandy Jellum wove an intriguing romantic suspense tale that introduced the reader to literary agent Liza Winter and her boss / unexpected love interest, Reid Harder. In this riveting story, the reader followed the complicated development of Liza and Reid's romantic relationship when Liza's traumatic past resurfaced with a tangled web of haunting and painful memories, hidden secrets, chilling threats, and danger lurking around every corner.

Now in If I Say No, the second book in the series, the reader catches up with Liza and Reid as their relationship continues to grows, but this time it is Reid's troubled past and his revengeful brother Rhett, who complicates their relationship with a new round of trouble and danger that they need to overcome.

This is a fast-paced, multi-layered, and complex story that easily captivates the reader's attention. It has enough intriguing clues, suspense, and thrilling twists and turns that will keep the reader sitting on the edge of their seat, holding their breath, and guessing what will happen next. You can't help but want to keep turning the pages to see what will happen to Liza and Reid's developing romantic relationship when Reid's past resurfaces and sends their relationship into a troubled tailspin.

I think the author did a great job of interweaving a nice balance of romance and suspense throughout the story, it kept my interest and made me want to figure out how the story would end ... but alas ... the author teases the reader with a breath-holding cliff-hanger of an ending that leaves the reader wanting more, only to have to wait for the release of the next book in the series.

If I Say No has everything that a true romantic suspense fan could ever want in a book, but take my advice and read the series in sequential order.

Note: This ebook was provided by Good Tales Book Tours in exchange for an honest review.

If I Say No is the sequel to Brandy Jellum's If I Say Yes and is the second book in the Say Something series. This picks up a few months after the events of the first book. I do recommend that you read the books in order because book one ends in a cliffhanger and book two will make more sense if read in conjunction with its predecessor. Most of the memorable characters from If I Say Yes return here and there are quite a few new ones introduced here, including members of Reid's immediate family.

I quite enjoyed this book as compared to the first one and it may have to do with the storytelling going in a clearer direction. This was really about Reid and his past and how it's now affecting his present and foreseeable future. I'm not sure if I like him more here because I certainly didn't agree with a lot of his choices with regards to his handling of the situation with Rhett and his own relationship with Liza. I also couldn't help but wonder if he was being truly honest with his actual feelings with her and Lily.

As with the first book, there are a number of twists in the story and I did figure out the ones that had to do with his family but it was still interesting to see how everything unraveled and how Reid and Liza reacted to the revelations. I certainly liked Liza more here than in book one because I felt that her reactions to Reid's actions and secrecy were realistic instead of romanticized. I still felt bad for Elias "Eli" Caraway, Liza's best friend, because he simply had more sense and made better choices than Reid. *shrug*

With as far as the suspense thriller aspect is concerned, both books in the series did well in creating the tension I look for when it comes to puzzles that need to be figured out and in anticipating what's going to happen next and when it's all going to go down. The romance aspect was okay for books one and two but I did feel that Reid and Liza worked out better here than in the previous novel and maybe it was because their relationship was truly put to the test here. I'm giving If I Say No four stars out of five. ♥

3.5 stars.

I never give ‘.5′ ratings, but for this one, I had too. I really didn’t think it deserved 3 but at the same time, I didn’t think it reached the 4 mark. So, 3.5 it is. Let me tell you why.

Individually, this book was really good. But when a book is a part of a series, I tend to keep comparing it to the other parts and rate it based on that and in this case, the first book was much better than this one.

This book was from Reid’s POV whereas the first one was from Liza’s POV. I was really excited to read this book because of this fact but in places, I couldn’t help but think, ‘what would Liza be doing right now?’ There were some moments in the book that just seemed incomplete without Liza’s input.

The characters just like in the first book, were amazing and lovable. The storyline was also amazing although a little predictable. I knew how it would end quite before it actually happened. I missed a few details, but I was mostly correct and also a little disappointed that there wasn’t such great suspense as book one.

Wait! I’m going to talk about the good part now. Anybody guessed it? It’s the ROMANCE! There was an amazing chemistry between the two and even though there were obstacles in their way, their sizzling attraction to each other was too much to bear. I loved how they fought with themselves, loving each other, yet not ready to fully give in but overcoming any obstacle that came their way. Romance like theirs, makes my day.

Bottom line: Even though there were a few disappointments, I really did like this book and am waiting eagerly for the next part.

This book does start of where the first one left off. And let me tell you that it does not disappoint. It hooks you in from page one to the last word.

This book is told in Reid's POV. Which I really liked because it showed what he was thinking. In this book, Reid's past comes to haunt him. He has to work with the FBI to catch his brother who has threatened everyone Reid loves.

I really liked it but throughout the book you see Liza and Reid drifting apart more and more which tore my heart apart for them. Reid was still hiding secrets but he loved her a lot and was doing it for her protection.

But those secrets are the main this that put her in danger & Reid does whatever possible to make her safe. Even though a lot had happened, they both thoroughly loved each other.

"To lose her is to lose my heart. I already lost it once, I won't lose it again. Liza is my life. My reason for breathing. Nothing can ever take that away from me. Not even my past. I won't allow it."

You have to read the book to know what happens, and there is a lot that happens. So much is brought to light that you will not expect happening because I sure all hell didn't. This book really played with my emotions but I liked it! Highly recommend the series to everyone :)

I couldn't wait to read the sequel to If I say Yes. After leaving off the first book now knowing what happened next to Liza and her crazy stalker, I jumped at the chance to read If I Say No. I was pleasantly surprised that Reid was the narrator this time. It put a whole new perspective on their relationship.

The book picks up where the last left off, around the time that Liza's sister is on trial for attempted murder. She is found guilty of all charges and sentenced to prison, so we no longer have to worry about her craziness. However, Reid's brother is back to his sociopath self, and now the duo still has to live in fear. Reid tries keeping this fear from Liza (he some how even has a guy working for him, LIVING in his house and keeping tabs on his brother, and she doesn't realize what is really going on). It kind of made me feel like the two didn't have that great of a relationship to begin with and that's made evident as the story goes on. Reid and Liza are working on the finishing touches of their wedding but everything comes to a halt when their relationship starts to take a turn for the worse. As always, Brandy Jellum throws in a crazy ending that you totally don't expect. This novel definitely has the same type of suspense as the first book, so if that's what you're craving this book will not disappoint.

However, something was just lacking for me here. I mean, it's always disappointing to read a sequel and realize the love wasn't what you thought it was. It took until the end of the book for it to become alright again, but I feel like it just put a huge downer on the book for me.

I would definitely recommend this series to someone who enjoys romantic suspense.

Reid Harder and Liza Winter's story continues in this 2nd book of the Say Something series. Reid is now running the business his uncle has him be a part of. He and Liza are planning a wedding.

Liza still has her past, her best friend, her job, and other things like secrets coming between them and the getting married part. Reid is not sure what to do. He wants to tell Liza all about his past but he is scared. Like bone deep scared.

Reid has a brother, Rhett, who wants to kill them all. Including a former wife and son everyone thought was dead. Reid loved his sister-in-law once, and does not want her to be harmed. Rhett won't stop until everyone hurts - including Liza.

Another action packed adventure ensues with friends who come calling, a mother who comes to visit and so much more! There is literally no stopping this story! So good!

What to tell everyone? They cannot tell all of them the truth. It is just not easy to believe, for one. Makes Liza want to kill him, for two. Should they go through with a wedding when neither of them is sure they can tell each other the truth about the past?

The character development in this book almost makes me dizzy. So many surprises and just like the last book - so much more to come! With all that is against them - can Reid convince Liza that love really can be enough if it is real?

I really enjoyed this conclusion and found that I even liked some of the characters I was on the edge with. Marco and Reid's mom are some of the comic relief. There is just so much going on and the FBI is almost next door! I give it a happy 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

In Book #1 we had Liza's story , which had her past coming back to haunt her in tenfolds and her relationship with her boss Reid Harper. Now in Book #2 Reid and Liza are engaged , but life isn't about to play them the easy carefree card , as why should it now after all they have been through. Liza's half-sister Heidi who was the one who tormented her in Book #1 is on trial for Murder and Attempted Murder of Liza and her friends , not to mention her father Robert who killed her mother is due out of prison on good behaviour. With all this , Liza doesn't need anything else to worry about, but unfortunuately Reid has a hidden past as well and all the secrets and lies are about to come bubbling up to the surface as eight years ago Reid was in love with Lily - his older brother Rhett's wife and he had an affair with her. Then one day, he turned up to their house to discover it was on fire and the paremedics wheeling out two bodies of a woman and her baby. His heart broke and he vowed to make his brother pay, but Reid's brother Rhett is alot like Jeremy - Carson Ryder's brother from JA Kerley's series and keeps evading the police and FBI. Just as they are closing the gap to the wedding , Reid discovers his past and the events that happened 8 years ago was a big fat lie. Will he be able to hang on to what he has got now or will he lose Liza when the truth is revealed ? Can Liza afford to be with someone and love someone who has just as much baggage as herself, when she can't even love herself and find the capacity to fully love anyone? Find out in this awesome sequel by Brandy Jellum, which will have readers sitting on edge as they turn the pages to discover the truth.

Despite recently being caught up in a psycho's revenge, Reid has come away more sure of what he wants. He wants to marry the woman he loves, and most of all, he wants to put their broken pasts behind them. But things don't run smoothly, as Reid's troubled brother Rhett decides it's time to make him pay.

I loved the first book (I'll try not to give away any spoilers!), and If I Say No picks up with Reid and Liza engaged, and going through the trial of the person that tried to kill them.

This second instalment is Reid's POV, which was nice to see inside his head, especially as he starts to question what he thought had happened in his past etc. I did think that, after being immersed in the world of Liza in book one, she was absent a lot from book two. Oh, she's there, in the background, pissed off and refusing to speak to Reid directly for a good chunk. I just felt like I missed her, and she was now The Fiancee.

What I did love was the dynamic between Reid and Eli, Liza's best friend (and challenger for her heart). They were great together and really made me smile!

Whereas the plot in If I Say Yes was much more of a who-dunnit and followed Liza's attempts to keep the anonymous threat hidden from anyone that could interfere (or, you know, help); the second book is a larger affair, with FBI, witness protection, and the very possible chance of something blowing up! I think it was nice, they were both good, solid plots, with enough to tie them together as part of the series, but enough to make them different and hold their own.

Overall, an enjoyable read. I look forward to more from Brandy Jellum!

Secrets are deadly…
And this second book in the Say Something series is full of them! If you haven’t read the first story you will want to catch up before diving into this tension-filled follow-up. Reid Harder has finally won over Liza Lewis after surviving life-threatening situations which almost ended their budding romance as well as their lives. Things are not quite going to settle down as they both are hoping with Marco, a private investigator friend of Reid’s arriving with unwelcome news. Realizing that his own secrets are now threatening their relationship, Reid has to come to terms with his own past before he can move forward as well. Hopefully they will live long enough for that to happen.
I loved this sequel to If I Say Yes! I finished the first book with some misgivings about Reid but this story, told from his point of view, really opened him up to show the struggles he is dealing with and the true depths of feeling he has. He is not perfect, that is abundantly clear, and missteps continue in his relationship with Liza, but I can’t help but feel for him and cheer him on. The drama continues unabated though now coming from Reid’s side of the fence. Family has taken on new meaning in this series as those close to them truly are their worst enemies. Truths are turned on their ear as revelation after revelation brings ghosts from the past into the present. Fast-paced and twisty as always I highly recommend this totally engrossing story. I look forward to more books by this author whose plot convulsions have me completely entranced!

This is the follow up book to If I Say Yes, it picks up right after the first book which i immediately liked but was in Reid's POV.
If I Say Yes we found out who was tormenting Liza but with this book we see what Reid was hiding from his past as we all knew there must of been something especially after the phone call at the end of book one.
Liza and Reid are now engaged, the trail that saw Liza's half sister Heidi admitting to attempted murder, the couple are now thrown more secrets and lies as Reid's hidden past comes to haunt him in the form of his brother Rhett.
Rhett was married to lily and had a son but Reid was in love with her and was having a secret affair with her, one day Reid turns up to their house to find it on fire, as paramedics wheel two bodies out, one woman and one baby Reid vows to seek revenge on his brother,
After eight years Rhett is still dodging the police but Reid has always had tracks on him but with this phone call will things spiral out of control and threaten the newly engaged couple?

Will Reid discover more lies?
And will Reid and Liza work through their troubled relationship?

I really enjoyed this book, the author has done a brilliant book as they hook you in from the beginning and keep you on the edge of your seat.

This book picks up right where book 1 finished. Book 1 ended Liz's story and now for this one it's Reid's story. I really liked Reid in book 1 and there was so many unanswered questions about Reid that I looking forward to this book exploring

As with the first book I was hooked throughout this book. It's not just a romance story about two people falling in love or discovering love, Brandy throws a whole lot of suspense, drama and twists that keep you on tender hooks throughout. Once I picked it up I wanted to keep reading on to find out what happened . I felt a range of emotions whilst reading- parts were happy, parts made me angry, others made me sad. The book is very well written and the pace of the story is good. I really like the aspect of suspense thrown in with the romance.

Overall a great read from Brandy Jellum. I look forward to reading other books in the series and seeing where it goes.

I received a copy of this e-book in exchange for my honest review, which follows.

As I read this book, I did not come across any major surprises. Nearly everything followed exactly from what I learned of Reid's brother, Rhett, by the end of the author's debut book, IF I SAY YES. There were, of course, some fleshing-out details [which I appreciated], but there was nothing to cause me to sit taller or to turn the pages faster.

Again, I do think Brandy Jellum has some good story lines in mind, but the writing execution was repetitive, and there were several typos and/or wrong word choices [e.g., attest instead of arrest; her as the subject of a sentence; affect instead of effect; been instead of being, etc.]. A beta reader or final proofreader, who was not at all familiar with the words on the pages previously, should have spotted these.

My overall sense was that this might fit more in the chick lit genre than in romantic suspense. I see by looking at other reviews that I am distinctly in the minority here. I do wish Ms Jellum much success with her forthcoming books.

**TARA'S REVIEW**

If I Say No picks up where If I Say Yes leaves off, but comes from Reid’s POV. You will need to read Book One prior to this book in order to understand the full scope of everything going on.

The past is never really just that, and it will always come back to haunt you. When Reid’s past comes back to haunt him, it threatens to ruin everything his future now holds.

~~~~~~~~~~
I really enjoyed this follow up book, so many of the unanswered questions I had from Book one were answered. There were so many twists and turns. I really enjoy a good mystery filled with love and lust. This book will take you on a roller coaster ride of ups and downs.
This book does not contain a cliff hanger, but does leave the storyline open to what will come. I am looking forward to seeing where Book 3 will take us and how the way things ended in this book will transpire. Since this book focused more on Reid’s past, I hope to jump into a little more of Liza’s past in the future.
If you like a good suspenseful romance, this series is for you.
I wasn’t mistaken with my impression of Brandy Jellum’s writing. As I have mentioned in my previous review for If I Say Yes, Jellum wrote flawlessly, and effectively injected her story with suspense and intrigue. With Book 2 – If I Say No, I have to say that this one is more intense and even more intriguing. In this book, revenge, indeed, was a dish best served cold.
I couldn’t help but admire Reid Harder’s protective stance and love for Liza, although it was kind of twisted in the beginning when Lily came into the picture. Lily was Reid’s sister-in-law, who supposedly died in the fire with her son. Reid’s past caught up with him and his cunning evil brother had everything to do with it. His relationship with Liza began to crumble and deteriorate, and all hell broke loose when the FBI got involved.
I liked that this sequel was more action-packed, more twisted, more wily and devious, and more brilliant! I can’t wait to read the other books in the series!
amazing follow up to if i say yes. what happens when more secrets ore revealed and kept, there's no honesty in the love between two people?
this is one heckuva roller coaster ride. will they be able to move on from their mistakes? will they ever be safe again?
in this book, the focus is more on Reid, and his mucked up brother Rhett, and all the pain he has caused.
I get a little frustrated with Liza though. while Reid waited around and gave her the time and space she needed, she is unable to do that for him. a little harsh in my opinion.
again, i love the romance and the suspense and the what's going to happen next feelings. keeps you on your toes, and in the throes of the book, the passion, the mystery. it's fast paced again, doesn't drag on too much, just enough to keep you interested.
another great book by brandy jellum!
This book picks up from where the last left off.
This book is told from Reid's POV.
After the drama at the climax of the last book I didn't the author could pull this out of the bag but boy did she deliver.
This was like reading a different story with the previous characters, Who is Reid an Where has he come from? He is harbouring a lot of secrets and ones that he isn't ready to share with Liza, even though she kept secrets, and he knows how hard it was for him to wait for her to open up, he still can't tell Liza his deepest darkest secrets.
This book reads like a good suspense/thriller type novel and I really enjoyed it and was a complete contrast to the previous book but it worked really well.
This is a great second book in the Say Somethings series! The story picks up right where the first book ended, and continues on with Reid and Liza's story. They have a roller coaster relationship and you can't wait to find out what happens next. Reid's brother Rhett is out for revenge on Reid and wants to hurt the ones he loves. You won't be sorry to get this one and I can't wait for the next book in the series!
GREAT ROMANTIC SUSPENSE
The author did a great job picking up after the previous book. She included brief reminders of major events without over-lapping a bunch of material. The suspense was perfect throughout the book and kept you guessing even after the end. I was thrilled to find out there will be more to this series. I look forward to seeing what is to come.
oh my goodness!! I just finished reading this book. It is definitely a must read! Reid and Liza are both haunted by the past, will they learn to open up to eachother and dig out the skeletons or let it rip them apart? The very awesome and extreamily unexpected twist at the end is making me crave more! I can't wait for book 3!
A love worth the fight
Reid loved Liza more than he realized. Ghosts from his past continue to tear them apart. I really wanted them to make it work but I could've killed him myself for not talking to Liza about what was going on. He continued to hurt her by staying quiet. Can they fight his demons together or will it be too late? I loved this book grab it people.
Wasn't expecting this to blow me away as it did but alas I'm blown away. I literally cried so hard at the end that I got sick. This book will take you on a ride and leave you asking questions of yourself.
So I caved and read book 2 after declaring that I wasn't in the slightest bit interested. But i hate leaving things unfinished. This was slightly better than the first book even though I still have my grievances with it. I am glad that I read it though if not for a bit of closure.
