I purchased a copy of Catherine’s book at her book signing and promptly came home and put it on my bookshelf. I felt no need to read the book; I was seeing her regularly for healing sessions. Then she asked me to write a review so I actually had to read it. After just a few chapters, I told her I was so glad she made me read it because it’s so beautiful and very touching. From the beginning, Catherine’s gentle sincerity and compassion and unconditional love shine through like a beacon over the darkness that is our pain. Her simple truths about health and illness allow healing to begin as we digest her stories and information. There are 84 chapters in this book, yet they are short and easy to read. And profound. The book is not a treatise on the scientific aspects of healing but a do-it-yourself process of understanding why we are in pain and how to resolve our issues. I highly recommend What Is Healing? and bless Catherine for this gift.
What is healing? This book is written by a healer who works with several clients. Catherine Carrigan teaches us how to care for our sacred souls. Carrigan approaches healing of the soul and body as a holistic effort reminding us that we are connected to one another and to our surroundings. When something is out of sync or not functioning to its highest level, we need to take a look within and see what may be blocking our normal energy flow. She graciously reminds us to keep our chakras open by facing life’s hard issues such as grief or loss. She shows how unconditional love and intuitive listening can help us repair and return to wholeness. This book is filtered with great wisdom and quotes from timeless thinkers and can be referred to over and over for guidance.
Must read ! The author does a great job of writing about this subject with simplicity and clarity. The chapters are small and informative ( I think this was by design). I really loved the Appendix where she went into great detail about the Chakras. It is the best I have read. This book is for anyone wanting to learn about holistic medicine and how to put it to use in your life.
I received this book from a Goodreads giveaway. It is a easy to understand, well written book that covers all the many aspects of our lives that need to be tended to and nurtured to achieve health and happiness. It will stay on my shelf as a go-to reference for many years to come.
I was enthralled from this book at the beginning, but I got distracted from it over halfway through but it did not take me long to pick up from where I left off I thoroughly enjoyed this book. And my time in the day is precious to me, so for me to take time out and write up something about this amazing book is worthwhile reading. As being bought for myself, I picked many interesting tips to help me through on my own storyline of my books. So a big thank you to the author Catherine. Through health and happiness I can see it now. I do not want to spoil the enjoyment of reading this book as it is just perfect. This is why I am happily presenting five stars to the work and research that this author has provided to the public. hail the celebritie author
I understand many people benefit physically and spiritually from yoga and meditation. I know that it can increase flexibility and decrease blood pressure. It is known to help relieve anxiety. I tried yoga once. I made it through the 10 minute warm up before I had to stop. The next 2 days, I could not move. I have tried meditation to no avail. My mind races like a hamster on his wheel and I have never been able to reach that peaceful state. To those who can, I think this is a good book. I really don't understand chakras but one doesn't have to to really get useful information from this book. I encourage those who are looking to improve their own health and peace of mind to give it a try.
Catherine’s book, What Is Healing? Awaken Your Intuitive Power for Health and Happiness, is chock full of of answers to that question, along with useful tools for the reader to use on their own journey to healing. Her experience as a Medical Intuitive healer and extraordinary teacher, enable her to present her knowledge in easily digestible chapters. I personally find this information fascinating, and use it in my own life.
What a wonderful education in just one book! I listened to it on Audible, but am ordering the book to have as a reference. The selection of the narrator was excellent as it added to the conveyance of the message.
If you want to learn about energies, prayer and healing, this book is an excellent opportunity to do just that. I would highly recommend it.
This book was featured at Brighton Book Club and it touched me deeply. Catherine Carrigan writes with such compassion and wisdom that I felt like she was speaking directly to my soul. What Is Healing? helped me see that real healing starts from within, through love and intuition. It’s not just a health book, it’s a spiritual awakening.
Got this at the feature event at Brighton Book Club, I learned so much about the connection between emotional blocks and physical illness. The section on addiction to staying sick was eye-opening. Catherine makes complex spiritual concepts easy to understand and apply in daily life. Highly recommend to anyone on a journey of self-discovery.
“What Is Healing?” was just our feature book at Brighton Book Club but it challenges the way we think about illness. It’s not just about the body, it’s about the mind, the heart, and the soul. The part about finding the blessing behind a breakdown really made me rethink some of my past challenges.
