My office is my hammock on my porch. I bring out my Macbook Air laptop, lie in the sunshine, listen to the birds and cuddle with my dog Belle while I am writing. Time passes, the temperature changes, the angle of the sun prompts me to shift my hammock around. My partner Ken Holmes got me a weather-resistant hammock because I am out there bundled up with blankets even when it turns cold. Nothing fills my soul like this! (less)

I like to shift between creative activities. I make jewelry. I knit. I write. I take photographs of my organic garden and my orchids. When I get stuck in one creative activity, I simply shift to another. That way I am always in a state of joy! (less)

Cultivating Contentment in the Era of Coronavirus

My Page

Yesterday I felt myself sliding into another funk as I listened to the news.
April brought the highest unemployment rate in U.S. history.
Over 1.3 million Americans suffering from coronavirus, over 80,000 dead.
Worldwide, over 4 million confirmed cases of COVID-19.
Even though my prayer and meditation practice has been quite strong, the latest news felt like a bit much to take.
I went for a walk wi Read more of this blog post »

“In his book The Africans, Ali Mazrui began his study of the triple heritage of the African people by pointing out that the ills of the continent of Africa nowadays are the result of the anger of the ancestors in the face of the general desecration brought about by modernism. He indicates that throwing away one’s culture for another is an insult to the dead, and can result, as in the case of Africa, in a lot of unresolved ills. In a way, Mr. Mazrui is not just speaking about mechanized Africa, where the worship of the ancestors is being gradually replaced with the worship of machines. He is also speaking to the developed countries, where the antlike frenzy of life, characterized by a work-obsessed culture, is symptomatic of an illness that is perhaps too large to face. Thus”

“One of the most useful and important ways to be able to use your psychic gifts is to learn how to read what’s happening in your very own body.”
Catherine Carrigan, Unlimited Intuition NOW

“You are always guided and protected, loved unconditionally and never alone.”
Catherine Carrigan, Unlimited Intuition NOW

“We can be so heavily invested in our tales of sorrow and woe that we have no clue how much repeating that negative story creates the chemistry in our body mind that triggers the physical pain.”
Catherine Carrigan, The Difference Between Pain and Suffering

“It is love alone that leads to right action. What brings order in the world is to love and let love do what it will.”
Jiddu Krishnamurti

“The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift.”
Bob Samples

“To understand the nature of God, it is necessary only to know the nature of love itself. To truly know love is to know and understand God; and to know God is to understand love.”
Dr. David Hawkins M.D.

“Cease trying to work everything out with your minds. It will get you nowhere. Live by intuition and inspiration and let your whole life be Revelation.”
Eileen Caddy

“The commonest kinds of seemingly telepathic response are the anticipation by dogs and cats of their owners coming home; the anticipation of owners going away; the anticipation of being fed; cats disappearing when their owners intend to take them to the vet; dogs knowing when their owners are planning to take them for a walk; and animals that get excited when their owner is on the telephone, even before the telephone is answered.”
