Librarian's note: This is an alternate cover edition of ASIN B00AZ8BADS.
How bossy does Tess like Vincent? Not bossy enough to stay away from the concert their cheating spouses are putting on — where both their cheating ex’s finally learn Tess and Vincent are together and their marriages to them are history.
Then Tess and Vincent see about piecing together their own happily ever after. But first Vincent’s got to see Tess in that freaking hot dress one more time ... just for him. Will he be able to keep her out of his bed like he vowed, until they can figure each other out and where what they have together is going...
Probably not...
In this exciting conclusion to Their Ex’s Redrock serial.
I have been writing genre erotic romance since 1998. My love is science fiction mixed with erotic romance or just plain sweet romance. But I write mostly historical erotic romance, because well, ... that is what sells : )
WELL BK#4 SORTA ENDS VINCENT & TESS' STORY, SURELY THIS IS NOT GOING TO END, END. AFTER READING ALL 4 BOOKS I CAN'T SAY I DIDN'T ENJOY THEM ALL, EVEN IF THE STORYLINE WAS SORTA SIMPLE BUT REAL CUTE AND FUNNY. MY ONLY PROBLEM WAS THE LENGTH OF EACH READ, THEY WERE ALL SUPER SHORT, THAT I DID NOT LIKE. I WISH IT HAD BEEN JUST A COMPLETE NOVELLA AND BE DONE WITH IT. I READ ALL OF THEM IN A MATTER OF HOURS. MAYBE THE NEXT REDROCK SAGA WILL BE A STAND ALONE BOOK. HOPE SO!
(I bought this series as a complete book so I'm unable to review each of the 4 parts individually.)
Tess followed her husband Steven knowing he was cheating on her. She just had to see it with her own eyes. Right when she's about to yell out at her husband and the lady he's with on the balcony, a man's big hand covers her mouth. It's raining and he drags her under the balcony where she can still hear the sounds of her husband's cheating. Tess wasn't expecting that man to be the husband of the woman with Steven.
Vincent followed his wife Luna to get the proof he needed that she's cheating on him. What are the chances of the cheating man's wife doing the same thing? He grabs her and after their spouses are finished, loads her up in his truck and takes her to a bar for drinks to talk. Only one drink turns into a bottle, which turns into a night of the hottest sex either can remember ever having.
Tess and Vincent have serious chemistry, but Vincent needs time to take care of financial things before confronting his wife. Tess agrees to keep it quiet. She and Vincent try to stay away, but they're drawn to each other. Steven has ties to the mob which could hurt Vincent, and Luna is straight up crazy.
I thought the idea of this story was good. Some of the events were a little hard to believe and to follow. Tess is supposed to be shy and has only had sex with two people, yet there are three hot men lusting after her, and she's drawn to each one. She seriously flirted with both Finn and Cabe, all the while she's sleeping with Vincent and her divorce isn't final. She's what I would call tease, and acts so naively about it. I liked her okay but liked Vincent's character better. Vincent immediately knew he wanted Tess. He's an alpha, protective male who really does seem to care about her. There were a couple of times I thought he should have told Tess what he was doing when he was with Luna - why not be honest with her.
Overall, the story was a short read. It's told from both POVs but they change back and forth in the middle of chapters with no warning. Vincent speaks through grunts often, but I figured those out fairly quickly. There are a few unanswered questions, but nothing that really effected the end of the story.
I'm not a fan of this idea that books should be put out in parts so I hesitated on this one. I got book one for free then found I would have to get the rest of the parts to complete it. Overall it's no more expensive than a full length book but I find it irritating. All of that being said I'm glad I gave this one a shot.
It seems in Redrock there is a lot of cheating going on. Not only our two main characters, Tess and Vincent, but many others in the town. Anyway this particular installment winds up the story between Tess and Vincent. They take the time to discover if their relationship will make it and take the final leap of commitment.
Still lots of steamy scenes and hot guys. Liked the story but hope if more of the Redrock stories are told they are done as full stories and not this piece together idea.
Not a bad series. I'm not sure why this was written as 4 novellas instead of 1 novel, but I bought it on B&N for $.99 as one, therefore I was able to read them all together. Wouldn't have been happy if I had to each short story to come out.
Awesome series. The only problem I had with this series is that it was broken down into 4 parts or individual books. All 4 parts = 1 book. Would have enjoyed it much more
