So Cruel is book thirteen in the Faith Bold series by Blake Pierce. FBI Special Agent Faith Bold and her partner, Michael Prince, and Turk caught another serial case involving the murder of a woman who worked with dogs. However, there was no link among the victims. At first, FBI Special Agent Faith Bold and her partner, Michael Prince, could not determine the cause or suspect. Will this be the one that finally stumps them? Readers will continue to follow Agent Faith Bold and her partner, Michael Prince, to discover what happens.

So Cruel is another fantastic addition to this excellent series by Blake Pierce. So Cruel kept up the tradition of engaging with Blake Pierce's stories and characters. Reading this book has made me think about the gourmet pet industry and illegal puppy farms.

I love Blake Pierce's portrayal of his characters and their interactions throughout this book. So Cruel is well-written and well-researched by Blake Pierce. I like Blake Pierce's description of the settings in So Cruel, which lets me imagine being part of the book's plot.

FBI Special Agent Kate Bold, her K9 Turk and her partner Special Agent Michael Prince are hunting a copycat serial killer, after three young women are gruesomely murdered.
The deaths seem to be linked to the designer dog trade, but one suspect after another turns out to be a red herring.
When two more young women are kidnapped, rather than slain, the assassin's modus operandi seems to have changed...but where are the victims - and who else is still targeting Faith herself?

So Cruel

The storyline is pretty good. However, there are several errors throughout the book. Some of the characters are called by a different name in one sentence, only to be called by a different name in the next sentence. There is a scene where the killer is named, and a few pages later,someone else is named as the killer. There were also some spelling and grammatical errors.

The story is a solid 3.5-4.5 star book. This is true for the entire series.

But it gets an automatic one start for using an AI audio narrator instead of getting an actual narrator to save money or whatever. There are tons and tons of narrators out there who are just starting, good and don’t need a paycheck for their work. Many work off audiobook sales or even credits (I know from experience with said narrators.)

AI “art” is lazy and a theft of real people creating art.

The FBI hasn't captured Franklin West. Faith can't decide what she plans to do when Turk is retired from duty in several months. She, Michael and Turk are called to find a serial killer who targets women even remotely related to puppy mills. This book is a great read! Couldn't put it down! I loved it!

Faith and Michael are faced with a bizarre crime. Someone is killing people who work/deal with high priced dogs. There's a whole world of injustice and cruelty against dogs and humans and this assassin is going to be a difficult one to find and catch. A good plot, fast-paced, So Cruel is great entertainment for a few hours. I thank Ms. Pierce for this ARC.

Needs a proofread

I live faith and also ella dark. But...these books are way to expensive. 1st thing is get every word checked before you send to press. This book had a ton of eras. Consider that we already pay for kindle. Then you charge an insane amount for 200 pages. Basically you have gouged the hell out of your readers.

This series still a real page turner. Not stale in the least, the characters are well developed and their interactions with each other add to the plot. The plot has enough twists to keep you interested as well as making you want to read faster to see what happens next.
