Lucky Marks and Rain Forrester grew up side by side. Born on the same day to mothers who were the best of friends and fathers who were like brothers, there was never a time that Lucky and Rain weren’t together. Until they weren’t.

Lucky has it all - life on the road with some of his best friends, performing for screaming fans in some of the largest venues and seeing the world from a rock star’s perspective. But too much time on the road has made them all yearn for home and the people they’ve missed. There is one person that Lucky has missed most of all - his best friend, Rain.

Even rock stars need a break now and then, and Lucky is glad to be headed back to Rojo to stay for a while. He can reconnect with his family, work on the new album before the next tour, and relax for a bit in the town he still calls home.

Rain had everything she thought she wanted - a place of her own in the big city, a position in a large company with room to grow, and a man who was nothing like any of the men she’d grown up with. Achieving her dreams was rewarding, but she missed her hometown, working with the people she loved, and her best friend, Lucky. When it’s time to take the reins in a family business where she doesn’t have to worry about climbing the corporate ladder or watching her back professionally, she jumps at the chance to go home again.

Life can be unpredictable, presenting undeniable opportunities that take people away from home and strategic decisions that keep them at a distance. That’s the way the cookie had crumbled for Lucky and Rain so far. Forces out of their control made them lose touch, and finding one another will be just as fated.

Come with Cee Bowerman to Rojo once again, and join the family as they watch destiny bring two people who were always meant to be together back to each other.

I loved this one. It was so amazing. I loved Rain and Lucky together. They are the best. I can't wait for the next book in the series to come out.

Lucky's Rojo Queen

As usual Cee Barrowman out does herself with each new release she brings us, and includes the perfect blend of an engaging storyline with out of this world hilarity filled with quick witted quips that will remain with us well into the future. The Potato Salad Controversy was positively brilliant. The family bonds which are such an important component of this author's work remain front and center as this story follows Rain and Lucky's friendship and journey to where they're at today. There were also some fairly memorable moments with some of our favorite originals. We knew from the first generation books that the oldest children of favorite General Hospital loving couple, Sonny & Brenda and Kale & Tara Forrester were going to grow up to be the best of friends just like their parents. Their fathers were the first to acknowledge their special bond while watching the nurses in the hospital's nursery\snuggery laying their newborns, who'd been delivered just two days apart side by side under a warmer. But sometimes we don't always see what's been right in front of us the entire time even when everyone else does., sometimes we make mistakes along the way, and sometimes distance is unbearable. Obviously I loved this! Jacob was such a shart that I wanted to call up the Crazy Coven on Rain's behalf, but that nephew of hers had me rolling. Koda and Ruf deserve an epic storystoryline of their own.

Cee did again

This was yet again another great book by cee with every book she writes it doesn't lose the great sense of family fun love commitment and insanity that we expect and have been delivered multiple times.

Raine and lucky have known each other since day dot not only born on the same day in the same hospital to parents his and her dad known each other since they were kids their parents even found out they pregnant at the same time. Raine and lucky have been the best of friends doing nearly everything together but for a small period of time thanks to outside people they drift apart and at Marcus and Reagan wedding they are force to seek the truth which leads them to becoming more than friends but true love never runs smoothly bit with the help of family and friends can they weather the storm and fine the HEA. More importantly, we get to catch up.of Rojo and its much loved residents, especially Kale 😀🤩 we also get a cheeky camo from some of our other beloved characters. I can't wait to read the next book

I've found that at times this author's 2nd gen books don't live up to the fun that the first one did. This one wasn't the case and if you read all of the author's series, there will be a couple (or at least I think it's 2) cross-overs. If you don't read the Time Served or Four Families series, it won't matter, but if you do, you can totally see the layers as to what is going on and why I think what happened in Dallas is all on Time Served ladies, it's totally something they would do and relish it, think Paula and Blue especially.

I loved getting the flashback parts with Rain and Lucky. They were such good friends, always standing up for each other, the bond strong. I hated how that bond broke, but glad that both of them realized it and realized it wasn't one of them that did it, but something that was done to them.

It was also fun to see each of them fight themselves on, do I do this, do I take this big leap, will it hurt the friendship or could it be more. Everyone in their clan had their own thoughts and weren't afraid to share it with Rain and Lucky, but it was Rain and Terra's talk that sealed the deal. I loved that it was Rain that made the first move and Lucky grabbed on when presented with the choice. From there things were good with them. Even the one potential bump, didn't harm them. Rain took a few seconds to think, to listen to what Lucky had to say and then it was back to both of them figuring out how to fight this and then found out the fight was already done on their behalf.

The ending was cute, it bookended the book in such a great way!

Dnf but more my fault. I haven't read any other of this author and this said, "Book 1" so I thought it was new but it's so full of names of characters of prior books that I thought I'd need a family tree pedigree to attempt to follow. I'm 60% in and Lucky is just getting off his tour and just starting a romantic relationship with Rain. The first 60% was learning all the 90 ? characters and their place in Rain and Lucky's life.

Won't recommend unless you've read other books in the past of Cee's or you are a quick study.

I love this couple and loved seeing "the elders" in the book. I've loved most everything Cee Bowerman has written (the Time Served books and the Texas Kings are my favorites); however, the 2nd generation books definitely don't measure up to the first generation. I could barely get thru Emerald's book. Brighton's book was better but still left me feeling "eh". Rain and Lucky were great. The best parts of the books were when the originals were there, have to say. When you've written INCREDIBLE characters in the first generation, it really is hard to write that magic again. I know we ALL are clamoring to read about the first generation in the 2nd generation books. lol All of the kids and who belonged to who got confusing even after I had JUST read the the entire first generation before I read Lucky. Would loved to have read what Smokey and Martha were up to, their health etc. Looks like London and the Connor wives got over their assumptions and attitudes w/ the MC and would loved a line or two about Luke and Liberty and how all that came about. I am looking forward to the other 2nd generation books, anything to get my fix on the FIRST generation again. lol

Cee Bowerman is a treasure. This is the second book of hers I’ve read and I’m so glad I did. Lucky and Rain are the Rojas Texas Kings second generation, and Rain belongs to an all-female MC in her own right. The two were born to best friends, just hours apart on the same day. They were best friends through all of childhood. And they even went to prom together after her boyfriend had proven himself to be a jerk. Then, after losing touch and finding each other again, things changed…
I love MC Romance and Rockstar Romance, and this was both. Filled with hilarity, love, and family, this is the best of both worlds. There is conflict, but there’s no kidnapping (yay!)
Cat’s Stats
MMC/FMC- Lucky and Rain
Heat- open door, explicit
Series? Y
Safety? That’s a hells yeah
Triggers- mild and threatened violence, language, use of illegal substances (not by MMC or FMC).
Tropes- Friends To Lovers, Instalove, Rockstar, MC.

Lucky & Rain

I always think that Cee Bowerman’s books can’t get any better and I’m wrong every single time! Cee, you have another amazing hit on your hands. From the moment I opened the book, I was lost - with a smile on my face. No idea of anything going on around me.

I loved their parents’ stories, and I think I love theirs even more. Lucky and Rain were born to be together. Best friends since birth - and that’s not even an exaggeration. This is an epic love story! And that surprise guest in NYC just made me so excited for more.

I laughed so much throughout this book. When I wasn’t laughing, I had a smile on my face. This book made me happy! And made me feel like I need to go back to Rojo to get reacquainted with all the Knights and Kings from the first generation.

SO GOOD!!

OOOH Man how I loved this book. Not only do you get to re-visit some of your favorite Rojo citizens, but you also get to see how their kiddos have grown up to be just like their parents LOL. Rain and Lucky's story is one of those all the feels stories. Besties for life, destined to be together forever. Proves true love can really transcend time, distance, and bumps along the way. Their banter and humor is probably one of my favorite things about this book. I love their realness with one another. As with all of Cee Bowerman's books it is very well written, great storyline, amazing characters, and of course a healthy dose of sexytime. Most of all I love that the charatcters and their stories are relatable and not so far fetched that it leaves you thinking " yea that didn't happen" Or makes you cringe reading it.
Do yourself a favor and grab your copy You will not regret it!

A fantastic beginning to this new series!

All of the Rojo, Texas series' are absolute favorites of mine, from the Knights, Kings, Connor Brothers Construction, Rojo, Texas, as well as all of the newer ones. They're all absolutely fantastic stories full of awesome characters, hilarious banter, crazy antics, drama, angst, suspense, and intriguing twists that will hook you from the start. I love that we're getting to know the "trouble making kids" from our favorite characters in the original series. I can't wait to see where this series goes from here!
Absolutely loved Lucky and Rain's story! I'm really looking forward to reading the new Texas Queens MC series as well.
If you haven't already read all of the stories by this incredible author, you're really missing out!
I would definitely recommend this book, series, and exceptional author.

Second generation of Kings

Love everything about this author. She has the incredible ability to bring you into the story, make you feel a part of the K!nights and Kings family. This being the second generation, you still get snippets of the older generation, the originals. Every single book, keeps you wanting more.
Loved Lucky and Rain, which is children from Sonny and Kale of the Kings. Best friends all of their lives. Now something more. Continues to have, fall on the floor, funny moments, with the kids from the brood. You have funny moments and frustrating moments, then the feel good moments. All wrapped up in one book. If you have never read any of Cee Bowerman’s books, I suggest you RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN and buy them all, as they will forever be your go to re reads, from this day forward.

Oddly enough for some reason I felt like there wasn’t enough romance? Idk if that’s just me or what, but I didn’t hate this at all. There were many scenes where they were with family and it was fun seeing all the different dynamics and stuff. These characters (not just the main two) were really fun to read about. The pranks and the way they were all protective of Rain when her ex leaked info about her. I loved the glimpses we saw of Rain and Lucky in the beginning of the book and wish we had gotten more of that. Oh, and lots of these characters had really strange names and idk how I felt about that.

OH and I would like to mention that I haven’t read any other books by this author. This is the first and only book of hers I have read.

WOW 🤩

When I read that Cee Bowerman was doing a second generation series, I wasn’t sure I was going to read them … crazy right???
That’s me because I was crazy for .05 seconds before I started laughing … my husband asked why I was laughing and I said “you wouldn’t understand “. If it wasn’t golf magazine, trust me he wouldn’t. If you’ve read the original series, THIS IS A MUST READ FOR YOU. If not, start at the beginning. Cee Bowerman is a badass in the writers world. She’s that good. SPOILERS START HERE … Rain and Lucky had it all, friendship, best friend friendship, (that spanned generations) lovers, marriage and children.

Cee never ever disappoints me with her writing skills.

I absolutely loved Lucky and Rain's story. With the love they have for one another and taking the next step from friends to a couple and how their story played out was priceless. I enjoy reconnecting with the families. The incident with Rain's ex and the mystery women have me hoping that the Crazy Coven was behind it. Thinking that it was at least Frankie and Paula if not the whole coven considering that Frankie is Stan's aunt. This story had me laughing out loud through the whole book. I love your story telling style so much Cee. Thank you for sharing your talent.

Gloriously funny and sweet, Lucky and Rain were such a great couple! Close since birth, sharing a birthday, they have been each other's best friend. Then life gets in the way, including an overstepping boyfriend and they lose touch. When they reunite, its apparent that there is an attraction that is impossible to ignore. Finding their way back to each other while navigating romantic feelings is a challenge but it is worth the risk to both of them. Laughter always fills this author's books and this one came with the Great Potato Salad Controversy that had me in stitches. Such an fantastic read!!

Another Amazing read!

Cee you did it again with Lucky and Rain's story! Friends from birth and life long partners in crime. They both took different turns in thier life but they didn't let that bring them down. They faced some obstacles to get them to the point of being together and they will face many in the future but thier love is strong. Who better to be with then the person knows you better then anyone else. Tha k you another amazing read can't wait for the next book in the series

Oh my goodness I need more!!

Absolutely loved lucky and rains story, Everything Cee writes is superb and so funny in unexpected moments. My only issue Cee is that you need to write more quickly! I've read EVERYTHING!! Now I'm waiting on more from all your latest series.

My advice to anyone coming across this book without having read any of the others is to start at the very beginning. Look up the reading order on Cees website and follow it all. I hope they all bring you the laugh out loud funny, tears, smiles and entertainment they bought me..

Way too much of this story is spent explaining every mentioned characters connection to Rain. To their multiple offspring and their nicknames and what business their taking over from their parents and their parents history. It was all so irrelevant to the storyline and an overload of information. As far as the couple go. Their history is sweet but unfortunately, absolutely nothing happens in this story. Their transition from friends to lovers in lackluster, the drama point in their relationship is hardly worth a frown and they tie all their ends together nicely. It was just meh

Fantastic Read

I’ve always enjoyed Bowerman’s books but I think this one might be at the top of the list. I laughed, I cried, I even “awwwwed”. I can’t wait for more books in this 2nd generation series. Being able to also catch up on the 1st generation characters is a bonus.
Not only do Lucky and Rain have chemistry, the supporting characters do too. I really hope we get more stories with the “angelic” nephew (haha). I laughed so hard at him during the trampoline trip that it made me want to learn more about his future antics.

Friends to Lovers

I loved this book, Lucky and Rain were perfect together and I loved reading the journey of their lives. I loved that they had the same birthday and the balance of old and new generation was perfect as it has been through the next gen books, parts of this book were also hilarious especially the random phone call in regards to Rains ex. On a serious note I wanted to highlight how amazingly ADHD was represented in the book, as someone who lives this daily and raising a child with it I thought the depth in which it was represented was just perfect.

Lucky and Rain were absolutely perfect for each other. Best friends turned romantic after a lot of consideration and weeks of talking on the phone.
I love that Rain took the bull by the horns and made the first move after talking to her mom.
The relationship progression throughout the whole book was great and wasn't rushed or dragged out.
I can't wait to see what Ms. Cee has for us next!

Lucky is my new favorite

I love Lucky and Rain. They are perfect for each other. If you are looking for low angst this book is for you. I love seeing old friends and meeting new ones. This was a pretty great book. I would honestly say 4 and a half stars but it only allows me to hit the 4th star. I like alittle more angst in my stories but I would definitely reread this one over again.

Amazing as always

This book just draws you in and makes you fall more in love with her Rojo crew! Be it the Knights, Kings or Queens. I fell in love with Kale in his book and Lucky and Rain’s just made me love him more! I always wondered what happened with the Valentine’s Day babies! Cee you didn’t disappoint with the look back throughout their childhood! Theirs is a true love story from the cradle to adulthood. No better way to be best friends first then lovers!

True Love!

As always, Cee Bowerman has written another amazing book! This book will keep you laughing and bring out all the love you have for Rojo! Lucky and Rain's story was one definitely of true love literally born on the same day, February 14 grew up in each other's pockets and matured into wonderful adults that let their feelings grow into the kinda of love that last forever. I feel in love with Kale in his book, and this book reminded me of how much I still love him!!

Coming from a big family made me appreciate this book more I loved all the check ins from past books. This kind of series is my favorite the characters of this book just roll with the punches. The story is solid and Ms Bowerman keeps you engaged the whole time. I will say this unless you have spent time with kids who live at life at full blast it might not be as funny but you will see that families like Cee Bowerman writes about love hard and live hard. Loved it!

I love visiting old friends!

Lucky and Rain have a beautiful, crazy, touching, hilarious love story. It was great glimpsing some of the family! I was hoping for a little about Kale’s birds. Cee always leaves my heart happy. I’ve read Cee’s series so many times that these people are real to me. For days after reading about them I think and dream of new scenarios. Always a pleasure to visit Rojo. Until next time….

All the feels

I have to say, I really enjoy Cee Bowerman books. You go from laughing to crying then back to smiling. Always feeling good at the end and hoping for more. I really enjoy the 2nd generation books as you remember the past and see how the family developed and are so close. Rain and Lucky are great together and you get to learn how they cope with their specific challenges but in the end come back to each other.

Not only is the book great but the cover is amazing! Lucky and Raine are so great together you fall in love with them instantly (especially when she goes full Kale mode) Raine and Kales special moment on the mountain got to me I might have cried a bit. This author didn’t leave her little one liners and humor out some of the stuff she comes up is hysterical. You can’t go wrong reading this book the Rojo family never disappoints. That Koda though wow what a kid (lol)

Lucky: Rojo Kings 2nd Generation! Fabulous

This book was absolutely amazing. Brilliantly written and full of life happenings. I’m enthralled when reading your books and love the tie ins to other books. I laughed so much reading this book. I absolutely have to go back and read The Texas Kings, The Texas knights and the other books. That’s how much I love them. Especially the Mafia ties.
