All while people gather around the Undying Magician, using his name for their own protection.

About the Join Nathan as he navigates his way through a dystopian world, whether that's inside of a magical academy, in a land of the dead, or fighting wars against other magicians. As he hides his immortality until it's no longer needed, grows to learn the loneliness of immortality, and learns more and more about magic and his own disease.
Shane Purdy is a college graduate with a Bachelors in Computer Science. At a young age he became fascinated with Fantasy books after reading the Wereworld series by Curtis Jobling, which led to a love of reading that continues to this day.
When he was younger you could almost always find him with a book in his hand (when he wasn’t busy with Band activities that is). As he got older, he started reading online webnovels as well. In June of 2021, after reading thousands of books, he decided to take the plunge and write a book of his own, starting with his first series, Dungeon from the Void.
He writes both high and low progression fantasy novels of varying genres, including Dungeon Core, LitRPG, Cultivation, Sci-Fi and more.
He does not use any sort of social media for his books other than Reddit, he has no Facebook pages, and his Facebook account is private and not public. Therefore if anyone finds public Facebook or other social media accounts outside of Reddit or Discord claiming to be him, they are fake.
Repeats. Some names change, the mechanics of the magic, but all of the basic format he uses is the same in every series.
First the main character gets removed from their family against their will.
Next their race gets changed again against their will.
Next they become almost immortal (Nathan already was)
Next they get access to powers no one else has.
Not one of the main characters has a social life nor wants one.
They all get bonded pets that give them huge boosts.
By the 2nd book Shane quits telling what spells, or gear the characters are gaining.
Shane also forgets things from book to book, like the rifle Nathan is given by the Dr has a stone that makes ammo just from his mana, but Shane must have forgotten because Nathan had been running out of ammo…
All of that said, this series is more of a steampunk series than anything else, it’s been kind of nice but I do prefer gaining experience and growing in levels.
As the title implys, I'm enjoying this series, but holy cow do you need an editor! The text is loaded with unnecessary phrasing, and statements that add nothing but word count (i.e. he started to click his tongue, but then didn't.). There is a ton of repetition which is tedious. Then there are just bad word choices. Please don't say Anyways; drop the S. Likewise for forwards... Drop the S. "Open fire" is not a single hyphenated word, ergo "open-fired" is not a word at all.
There is so much more, and I hope you get an editor to help your stories shine. All your favorite stories have been edited for content and grammar. You don't want to lose a reader for something that's easily remedied. You do spin a good yarn, and I wish you all the best.
I love this series! Great plot that I’ve never read before. The character is not overpowered but is at the same time, which makes it even more interesting. I enjoy that Nathan’s immortality can’t be circumvented, but that he also has to work to be able to fight on the same stage as the strongest magicians. The writing and story development improves each book, and I am excited to see where the author takes this book!
I was so excited to continue this series that I downloaded this book ahead of the books on my reading list. It did not disappoint! There were several battles that kept me entertained. Only one thing I didn't like so much was the dangerous non-trustworthy character who pops up here and there. Looking forward to the next book!
When your main character treats everything with disinterest and only reacts when decent pressed, your story is boring and difficult to read. The magic discussions are the only thing the MC or the author author seem to care about.
Really enjoyed this entry into the series. I like the direction the author is taking the MC and will be invested to see if he gets any darker as the series continues. Looking forward to the next book.
Enjoying this series as it's simple writing style and interesting characters make it a fun read. Its fast paced with good dialogue and a unique world build. Looking forward to more books in the series!
This series is really good. I cash feel for the main character and all the things he has to do just to survive. The storyline is very well written, and the scenes well defined. I look forward to reading more in this series and this author.
The writer turned this book into a kingdom building book got boring fast, I skipped most of the last part of the book after the fight, for some reason the writer made the mc a cry baby!! What I don't understand is why he had did not learn from the skeleton as much as possible !!
