I'd like to rate this higher, because I really liked the book overall. I'm interested in seeing where the series goes from here, and based on certain omitted topics, I have my suspicions...

Unfortunately, the book is flawed by some really poor copy editing. Homophone abuse was rampant; "fir trim" and "fur trim" appeared in the same paragraph, and while "reign" was never appropriate, it was frequently used instead of "rein" and even "rain." In one memorable spot, a woman is described as "bearing her body" when she sheds her clothes. Similarly, commas were omitted almost as often as they were used, and in several places the verb tenses shifted uncomfortably between present, past, past perfect, and everything in between. Some of that can be attributed to the narrator's voice, but much of it is just sloppy editing.

One plot point was also glaringly mistreated; despite the early establishment of strict rules against drunkenness (one violation will be severely punished and a second will result in expulsion), it seems that most of the campers are either drunk or hung over much of the time. The narrator is under legal drinking age for the entire story, yet she regularly gets plastered, knocking back at least half a dozen drinks every night and more throughout the day. (How does a SEX CAMP not have a strict "nobody under 21 admitted" policy?) Yes, the rule is memorably enforced once, but that only highlights its absence through the rest of the book. Before then, I regularly found myself asking why nobody was ever getting punished for this Vitally Important Rule. Call it a misfire of Chekhov's Gun.

Finally, while I understand the importance of mixing up the bedroom terminology in a book filled with detailed sex scenes, some of the terms the narrator came up with were (unintentionally, I hope) just plain hilarious. I started to wonder if the author had lost a bet, and would advise toning the euphemisms down in the future.

With all of that being said, one solidly brutal edit pass to fix those fairly minor problems would polish this into a real gem. The characters are solid, the voices are strong, and the action (explicit and otherwise) was inventive. The author has real potential, and I'd hate to see it overlooked due to basic grammatical issues.

Wow where to start. I started this book after work last night and I had to make myself put it down at 3:30 this morning! Wow I am really excited after reading this book. If I could give more than 5 stars I would! Where can I find my own Camp Jameson!? Colt and Sara are a couple and they are Aria's best friends. They talk her into going to relax after the nursing program and she could use a break so she was very excited. Well what she didn't realize is that it's a sex camp. They think she needs to relax and get to know the inner her. Sara is an amazing friend and packs her a different bag for her retreat. Colt and Sierra are her instructors because he feels she might be more comfortable around him than anyone else. Once Aira comes out of her shell a little she runs into Avery. He's the owner of the place and the sparks start flying when their eyes meet. Through out the book they fight each other's attention but keep finding one another in the parties. But will they end together in the end? I was screaming, rooting, laughing, had chill bumps at some points, and even anxiety at the end. This is a definite must read! I can't wait for the next book!

I absolutely loved and thoroughly enjoyed reading the marvelous, outstanding, amazing, hot & steamy, humorous, romantic story by the fabulously talented Wendy Lea Thomas.
Aria goes to Camp Jameson with her best friend Sara and Sara's hot boyfriend, Scott, after her first year of nursing. Aria has no idea that Sara and Scott have gotten her into an exclusive sex camp. Aria has had only one sexual encounter with a no good, one night stand guy, Nathan, and found the whole experience to be a failure. Aria meets the owner of the camp, Avery, a good looking, sexy guy. Avery only has one night stands, was burned once, and only wants sexual encounters until he meets Aria.
I was so intrigued and glued to the storyline, Aria, Sara, Scott, Avery, and all the characters that I found myself reading and completing the book within 24 hours. I can't wait for the second book in the series. Read the awesome, engaging, captivating, highly recommended, erotically written, romantic story, Camp Jameson.

This was definitely a very different read for me. The writing was very well done. The imagination the author uses for words to describe a woman's and man's private parts was extraordinary. Some of them were quite funny. I had no idea there were that many descriptive words for those parts. The sex was very very hot and quite imaginative as well. However, the romance level was a little low. I highly recommend this book if you are looking for a funny sexy read. Looking forward to the next book in the series.

Wow!

This book was quite interesting and the best kind.
I was blown away by the writing style, the unique storyline and the great characters.
The only problems I had with the book were the over-excessive word usage for vagina. There were a million different ways the author used vagina and it got tiring after a while. Also, I didn't like how much drinking the main character did.
I would definitely recommend this book to those who love a good laugh and sexy scenes!

Listen if you're looking for a strongly feminist, independent woman style book, walk away now. This book is a goddamn mess, but I didn't hate it. It says straight up what it is and what to expect (for the most part). Aria, our protagonist, ends up at a sex sleep-away camp her BFF signed her up for. Her teacher is her BFFs boyfriend, who she OF COURSE fools around with. She falls in love with Avery, the rich, emotionally unavailable man who owns the camp and all the grounds because every dude in these books has to be indefeasibly rich rather than have any personality traits.

Honestly, the sexual content in this book didn't bother me. I actually thought the sex scenes were quite hot and relatively well done. My issue is literally everything else. All the women are refereed to as kittens. They mention there's a lot of men at this camp, but man it seems like the author thinks only women should have a role in sex because they're constantly learning and doing all the work sexually in this book. The author makes a huuuge point early on about how important it is not to over-drink and it's a huge issue for Avery, the love interest and owner, but every damn day Aria is drunk. She's also underage which isn't a huge thing but c'mon man, you're gonna get your liquor licence taken away! Aria is constantly talking about how she needs to grow up but she's tipsy/drunk for a solid quarter of the book. Get it together girl.

Avery as a love interest is a bore fest. There's no reason why Aria is infatuated with him and vice versa. It's very 50 Shades in that Aria is COMPLETELY unexperienced but kinda cute and suddenly is the best pole dancer at St. Bernadette's. Their relationship means nothing and I never got the feeling they actually had serious feelings for one another. This book would be 100 times better if she and her roommate realized they were in love because they had more chemistry than Aria and any male in this book.

There's also a weird couple as background characters in this book and it is CLEAR the woman is being abused, at least emotionally. Her husband is constantly cutting her down and speaking down to her and I thought her growth might be an interesting secondary plot but nope, she learns a sex thing and suddenly he likes her again and it's all fine. Again, women's sexual abilities are the only ones presented as important.

This book wasn't offensively terrible, it was just repetitive and badly edited. It's roughly 450 pages which is INSANELY long for an erotic novel. It's the same scenes over and over again. If this had an editor who could fix all the grammatical and punctuation errors as well as cut it down to around 300 pages, it might have some solid potential.

Note: There is a scene in which Aria is close to being sexually assaulted and our love interest, who has been cold and rude to her up to this point, saves her and it suddenly saves a lot of their relationship. I think using sexual assault as a way to push a love story is frankly gross and I am tired of it being in "romance" novels.

I didn't actually read the description for the book, i just jumped straight in. Wow lol. We meet Aria, who's just finished her first year at nursing school. Aria is quite shy and reserved but luckily for her, her best friend Sara tricks her in to going to Camp Jameson. Now camp Jameson isn't like your normal camp. It's a sex camp and to say Aria is not impressed is an understatement, although she does soon get into the swing of things. She's stuck there for 6 weeks with the gorgeous instructors and this nasty hateful b*tch called Caitlyn, not to mention the super sexy Avery and you know the games are just getting started. This book has a light hearted feel to it from the start and although it doesn't end on a cliffhanger, it is part of a set. I'd highly recommend this book because it's really got it all....Good likable characters, good story, it flows really well, plenty of sex and very, very funny. The names used for certain parts of the body just absolutely cracked me up, not to mention the mouse traps and smurfette. Very impressed and will definitely be keeping my eye out for book 2.

Won this book in a completion had no idea what to expect it was a really good refreshing read. The story flows and is very well written. Once I started this book finished within the same day kept me gripped with lots of laughs and sexual situations.

Camp Jameson is not a normal summer camp but a sex camp which helps you live out your sexual fantasies and develop your sexual skills over six weeks. The story follows a shy girl Aria who finds her sex kitten and maybe her soul mate.

Would recommend to all who like a laugh with lots of sex and lovable characters'

Sign me up for summer camp at Camp Jameson!!

This book will leave you aching to join in the classes, craving more and wanting to register for camp.

It truly does have it all.

I not only loved the main characters, but became attached to all the supporting characters as well. I laughed at the pranks, crossed my legs with want during the games and classes, and can't wait to see what happens at the next camp!

This book is absolutely worth the read and I would highly recommend it to everyone.

****4 Smurfette Was Sited At Camp Jameson Stars****

I must say this book has left me a what the freak did I just read state of mind. It was creatively written, sexy as sin, naughty beyond belief and just out right hilarious. Sex camp is a total twist to summer camp. The only thing that bugged me was the way these crazy ass people ran to other people for sex in order to not deal with their lives and oh yea Catilyn also bugged me.

I enjoyed this book, it was light, dirty and fun to read. Ended a little abruptly and author is spacing out her releases alot for a new author. I probably won't remember that i wanted to read the second book in a year so that might hurt her a little bit or alot. Over all it was a wicked read and i liked it but with release dates a year apart i won't jump for joy waiting for new work.

I knew what to expect by reading this, but I think I can conclude I'm not that into this genre. At all. That aside, I did not believe at all in the supposed love story. I could not see that those who ended up together shared anything special but good sex, and the rest was like a porn but in book form. Hot scenes, I'll admit that, but totally no story at all.

This was one HOT read! I loved the book immensely and greatly enjoyed it. I found Aria very easy to relate to and the further I got in the book, the more I liked her. Avery was frustrating but still loveable.

The premise of the book is unique, which makes it all the more entertaining. Great debut by Wendy Lea Thomas. Highly HIGHLY recommending. I can hardly wait for book 2!

Camp Jameson!
Yeah I'm in!

Aria needs a break and what's better than sex? Only she doesn't know it yet! HA! Her best friend set her up, switched bags and sent her on her merry little way. There she meets the hunky owner, Avery and it's all fireworks and fireflies!

This is a cute book. That kept me hooked from the beginning to the end.

Lots of sex and frivolities. Didn't really feel the love between Mr Jameson and our heroine. She was with so many other people in between I just didn't get it?!!!
It was a fun read but very similar to others in this genre. Not a stand out read for me, sorry.
