Books can be attributed to "Anonymous" for several reasons:
* They are officially published under that name * They are traditional stories not attributed to a specific author * They are religious texts not generally attributed to a specific author
Books whose authorship is merely uncertain should be attributed to Unknown.
This would be great to have on hand in case you experience on of these issues so you can reference it, but I do not think it is necessary for every leader to read unless they will be involved with a lot of students for a lot of years. For my purposes, it was very exhaustive and I doubt I will encounter most of these issues (at least I hope not!). It is a great place to start if you do encounter one of these issues however. I think every youth ministry should have a few on hand to give to leaders who are experiencing one of these issues.
